Show Preference: Sacrifice Exclusive.
Competition Preference: Non Intergender, unless necessary.
Wrestler’s Name: Shea O’Hara
Nickname(s): Arsenic Butterfly, Redheaded Riot, Irish Bombshell, Dragon Slayer
Gimmick: Part time IWF road agent, rock musician and blogger, full time music and animal lover as well as a wrestler again, by the grace of God. A few months after suffering a devastatingly public miscarriage as a direct result of The Best Friends Club’s unprovoked assault in 2018, Shea O’Hara tried to get back to business as usual, stubbornly denying herself that she needed time to process, heal and regroup - until Maxine Valentine forced her hand by injuring her.
Comparatively, the concussion Shea sustained whilst trying to save her friend from an attack by one of the most imposing members of The Pack was relatively minor. Especially when stacked up against the unresolved trauma of her miscarriage and subsequent personal relationship breaking down completely, however it was enough to make Shea reconsider her entire in ring career.
Her love and passion for the wrestling business however is as stitched into her heart as music is integral to her soul and so she signed a five year deal to work primarily as a road agent for IWF but also as a commentator and analyst both within IWF and on the independent circuit, as despite everything she still needed desperately to be a part of the industry in some way.
She never gave up hope of one day being able to return specifically to an IWF ring and resume competing at the level she once had, and so despite her reservations she continued to train alongside former Best Friends Club member and IWF PC trainer Ciara O’Connor. The two have a conflicted and frosty professional respect and relationship due to Ciara’s part in ruining not only her in-ring career but her personal life.
During the times when Shea wanted to train but facing Ciara directly was too difficult, she relied on her own best friend, Vivienne Rodgers, training at the prestigious multigenerational Rodgers Academy instead. Until recently, this new life she had forged from the ashes of her old one seemed to be satisfactory until she was given extra motivation to return after witnessing Vivienne’s personal and moral compromises truly take hold as part of The Murder, a new terror unleashed by founder of The Pack and professional rival Rowan MacDonnough.
Shea waited until her existing deal with IWF expired and signed a new one once she was cleared to wrestle. Now she plans to resume her career and by a curious quirk of fate, the stars seem to have aligned for her to resolve more than a few personal and professional regrets and she plans to make the most of this opportunity.
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 135lbs
Place of Birth: Cork, Ireland
Date Of Birth: August 27 1996
Alignment: Heel
Pic Base: Becky Lynch
Appearance/Attire: Shea wears black tights with a silver Celtic Cross pattern on the left leg and her name in silver on the right leg, and a two tone knot-laced bra top, the left silver and the right black. Her boots are black, with silver trim, black wrist tape. During her entrance she wears shades and a scarlet leather jacket.
Theme Music: “Coming For Blood” by Eva Under Fire (feat. From Ashes To New)
Entrance:
The Imperialtron comes to life with a green ECG beep, then a white one and an orange one, then an Irish tricolour fourth beat which transitions a flatline, replaced by a stronger, bolder, more assertive identity in uncompromising gold against the black: SHEA O’HARA. The crowd erupt into a mixture of cheers and boos as a renewed ball of energy, Shea O’Hara explodes through the curtain. She surveys the electric crowd for a moment.
The crowd show no signs of dipping in their energy as they are greeted by the fiery redhead in shades and scarlet leather jacket. Taking centre stage, Shea plants her feet firmly, bouncing into a slight squat as she throws up the ‘devil horns’ on each hand. The gesture is coordinated with the start of the chorus of “Coming For Blood” by Eva Under Fire (featuring From Ashes To New) as a trio of small intermittent flame pyros are set off on either side of her.
Shea then sprints to the ring, sliding under the ropes, where she bounces up to her feet and runs to the ropes, playing to the camera as she places her left foot on the bottom rope, bouncing before throwing up the ‘devil horns’ on her right hand again, triggering yellow sparkling pyro explosions from each turnbuckle either side of her.
The crowd remains vocal even as she removes her jacket and shades. The lights return to normal and the music fades.
Special Entrance: N/A
Primary Style: Technical
Secondary Style: High Flyer
Other Style: Showboat
Strengths: Shea is very energetic and puts that into her performances, this can sometimes help her overcome physical damage to just go that one step further. She was trained by IWF staff at their developmental centre, including Adam Knite, Gibford Famularo, Spike Kane, Emma Danielson, Vivienne Rodgers and Ciara O’Connor.
Weaknesses: Due to her compassion and heart, she tends to give people the benefit of the doubt which can and has made her a prime target for the unscrupulous. With some of her closest confidants now aligned with The Murder, Shea believes she is wiser and less vulnerable but that belief has yet to be truly tested.
