Vivienne Rodgers was used to taking the passenger seat in her own life. She was used to other people telling her what she wanted, what she deserved, what she wanted. She was used to just sleepwalking her way through things. Maybe the Murder was never as successful as The Pack. But it didnât need to be. It was about encouraging the other women in the company to cease their own power and step up. If they were as monolithic as The Pack had been then it would be a failure. This meant it was doing what it was meant to do.
Rowan had been building up Vivienneâs confidence in herself, helping her find her own voice and her own desires. She taking the initiative meant no longer waiting to see if a man picked her. No more waiting to be prepositioned by someone else. She needed to go for what she wanted. Sheâd tried the club looking for Cyrus and Nicole where sheâd seen them before. But clearly that had been a chance meeting and never found him there again.
That made sense. Nicole hadnât seemed overly interested in the aesthetic but had still offered Vivienne to come back to their hotel room. Nicole seemed to avoid her since the tryst and Vivienne hadnât pushed her on the whys. Nicole was allowed to decided their friendship didnât recover from seeing each other naked and getting dominated by her boyfriend.
But she wanted what she wanted.
Doing her own kind of research to find him hadnât gotten her much results. He didnât seem to be the kind of guy who shared photos on Instagram. There was no facebook. Twitter seemed to be mostly empty besides some fans throwing up some MMA fights and some of his old matches. It felt like a dead end. She felt desperate but what could she do?
Cyrus Daniels had gotten an unexpected call from Warren Harper. Warren quickly caught the ex convict up on what his best friend, Vivienne had just recently discovered about her twins. Cyrus was beyond amused at the idea of Ulf Hednir firing blanks, it validated him even more. He had never had much love for the Council and thought that neither Xavier nor Ulf deserved Viv. a feeling that the threeway only seemed to crystalise for him.
Vivienne Rodgers was everything Nicole Kingsley could never be, everything his first love Virginia Spencer used to be, the perfect dark haired sub. The morning after the threesome Nicole had realized her mistake, felt the whole thing back fire as she saw him spooning with Viv whilst she was left by herself.
Though they had tried to make it work without her, Nicole not only couldnât measure up to what Cyrus needed but now she couldnât measure up to Viv in his eyes. They argued back and forth for six months before Cyrus lost it. He smacked her around, outside the bedroom, and that was Nicoleâs final straw. She kicked him out, and endured an ugly break up. She never saw him again, taking a few months off to re-evaluate her life before she returned to work in IWF medical.
Cyrus meanwhile channeled his aggression into MMA fights, he wasnât a mega star by any means, but he wasnât a slouch either. It was either this or a string of disappointing subs he paid for.
He canceled his next fight and through Warren, showed up unannounced, at her door.
Vivienne had just put the twins down to bed when she heard the knock at the front door. She walked over to it, setting aside her uneven obsession with trying to find Cyrus Daniels time and decided if it was Dawn or Warren sheâd agree to go out if thatâs what they wanted but when she opened the doorâŚand saw him. All Seven feet of him. All muscled and looking down at her she felt her whole body shiver in anticipation.
âPermission to kiss you, sir?â Viv asked in a soft and sultry voice.
Cyrus grinned, he was quite unprepared for Viv to want to pick up exactly where theyâd left off two years ago, but he wasnât an idiot either. He stepped in and pushed her back up against her own front door as if he owned not only her place, but her.
âPermission granted, kitten.â
Vivienne kissed Cyrus with everything she had, the last two years of longing and affection unleashed into the kiss to let him know how much she had missed him. He took it all in his stride, pulled her in by the waist to deepen the kiss for a few long moments before breaking.
âWe should probably talk,â he said, softly.
âYouâre right. Sorry. I got excited.â Vivienne blushed, âShould weâŚsit and have something to drink?â
âSure,â he smiled.
This could have gone a hundred different ways, this was undoubtedly the most positive. Cyrus was not usually a man who was missed, certainly not as much as Vivâs kiss had implied that she had missed him. Vivienne guided him to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water for herself and a beer for him, offering it to him. It was the kind that heâd been drinking at the club, sheâd tried it herself afterwards to see if she liked it and while not her taste she had kept it around in the fridge.
âIâve been looking for you.â Vivienne admitted.
âWell, here I am,â he said, cracking the cold one open.
âIâve missed you. I knowâŚI mean, I assume you and Nicole are still together?â Vivienne asked casually, but clear in her body language she was worried about the answer.
âHavenât even seen her in over a year,â Cyrus said casually leaning against her kitchen counter. âThings just werenât the same without ya, once youâve sampled perfection, itâs hard to go back to mediocrity.â
Vivienne licked her lower lip, âCharmer.â
The urge to move past the conversation and lead him to the bedroom was strong, but she had agreed to talk first. She could and would talk first.
âI tried moving on. I thought you two were trying to work things out and I didnât want to fuck that up. I overcommitted to the getaway car. I knew he couldnât be you. And then I found out that he wasnât the father⌠I wanted to tell you right away. But I wasnât sure how to find you. I tried the club. I never got your phone numberâŚHow did you find me?â
âOh I have my ways,â he smilled, taking a swig. His mystery is what had made him so alluring to her in the first place. âNic and I tried for a while to keep the flame you had lit for us, but it was no use. So if the Viking isnât the father, how can you be so sure I am?â
âI only slept with two people who could get me pregnant during that time period. Even if you werenâtâŚI missed you. But If it would make you more comfortable I could get them tested again.â
âWell, yeah it would be nice to confirm, youâll recall we used protection and all. Iâm sorry I still fucked things up for you.â
âThe boys are the best thing in my life. I would never consider having your children a mistake.â Vivienne admitted, âIâŚGod, this is too early and likely going to freak you out but⌠I love you.â
âYouâre right,â he took a longer swig. âIt is way too early, butâŚthe last two years have proven we never have had the best timing. I just hope you mean it and arenât just saying it âcause you want someone there for your kids.â
âIf I just wanted someone for the kids, Iâd have stayed with Ulf.â Vivienne smiled, âBut yeah. No worries. Donât have to say it back. I always fall too fast. We can play this by ear. Do you want to try dating first or would you be comfortable not getting physical until you get the results back?â
âSex is sex, kitten, if you want it and I want it, weâre adults, so fuck it,â Cyrus finished his beer. âAs for if I love you back, I wouldnât be here if I didnât feel something for you, kitten. As soon as I found out you were looking for me, I dropped everything to come find youâŚso yeah, iâd say i love you too.â
Vivienne set her water bottle aside and kissed him again, pressing her body against his. The sound of him saying it back and knowing he felt something for her two was too much for her self control. She wanted him, now and here. Her hands went down his chest to his jeans and teased taking them off, waiting for his permission to go forward. She was his to command after all.
Vivienne looked slightly less put together then the last time she was on camera, hair a mess and a few bruises bu a beaming smile on her face, clearly filming the camera herself with only being shot from above her shoulders likely on her phone,
"Vivienne Rodgers against local talent isn't actually the thrill I was hoping for this week. But I'll take it I guess. A match is a match. It's another chance for local talent to show something. I know I haven't won a lot of my matches since coming back but I want to be challenged. I guess after last week with the Queen's gambit upset and the way Brooklyn got disqualified...we are all in a holding pattern until we know how things shake down. I'll admit to being disappointed."
"I'm disappointed there isn't more to do. I'm disappointed there isn't a match I could go forward with. I'm disappointed that there isn't more of a fanfare and excitement about the division. But maybe what needs to happen is we need to start going for the tag titles. They are intergender aren't they? Well, since the men seem to be all hiding waiting for a chance for Wraith and Angel to retire... maybe it's time a full female team made a challenge for the belt. The Murder has plenty of members. I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in wanting to bring the tag division something to do."
"Either way. Things in my personal life are starting to go in the right direction and I am not going to let my professional life go to the side lines until I accomplish everything I have planned."
There is a masculine camera from off camera.
"Speaking of, I have to get back. Just know for certain, random local talent get ready to have your ass kicked five ways at Odyssey."
The camera cuts to black
