Don’t forget: Beautiful sunsets need cloudy skies
We open on said Sunset just over the Nassau Coliseum, looking over the shoulder of a figure holding a coffee cup and wrapped up against the wind as the camera slowly pulls back to show Natasha turning to take a long, long sip with a warm smile.
"'Sup?"
She turns towards the Sunset again letting the camera watch as the light starts to slowly disappear into an emerging dusk the clouds stained a deep red that scatters and refracts off the occasional darkening piece of sky.
"I could use this as some sort of metaphor if I was bein' clever, but lets be real We got s work to do ain't we? Reality is I thought this was pretty and dragged the camera out here to watch a sunset and freeze a little in the Long Island Air whilst I talked about my upcomin' match. Y'know?"
She huddled a little on the spot and sniffed as she worked against the cold some and chuckles as she moved to take a seat and look towards the camera with that infectious smile.
"Logan Sky, A couple of firsts for me on this particular swing in this one. My first IWF Pay per view and my first Inter-Gender match up, It's all cool, and I know you name my dude, you have been around. A tale of two cites this is ain't it? Me just at the start and you on that final ride and we're both out to prove somethin'...To ourselves, to each other and to everyone else watchin'."
Her shoulders rise and fall as the steam rises form the cup and she purses her lips looking about the spot she'd picked for the now rapidly diminishing shot.
"What can I say about the man that hasn't been said by a thousand talkin' heads man? You deserve your flowers man, you been and seen and done things, read the book form front to back and forgotten more about this business than I've even begun to learn. Add on top of -that- bein' you are almost twice my weight I don't see you goin' up in the TsuchiGomo you know what I'm sayin'? So we have ourselves a Davina versus Goliath."
She nodded once, twice even three times and grins.
"But we're wrestlers ain' we Logan? You know better than anyone that where most folks have a stop button we have a 'please sir c'n I have some more? I ain't done yet' Hamster wheel, it's just gonna be case of which one of ours gives out first and you know what Logan? I'm lookin' forwards to it. To match wits with one of the best and see just what I can do to work around the challenge you posses."
She cradled the mug in her eyes sorta of staring into the caffeinated liquid beneath her and she just nodded, those mismatched eyes lost in some thought tracing some imaginary circle as her lip wobbles against the air and she then focuses back on the camera.
"So, what does a girl from Brooklyn say to a guy form out Texas way other than...May the best of us win? It feels kinda lame, You haven't even uttered a word yet and I feel like I know most everythin' about you, The legend of the machine is spoken about you know? Hell my ol' Stompin' turf out in Yokohama had a back library and your name was in it several times."
She paused a bit and chuckles as the light behind her seems to have finally slipped out of the sight, the reds an oranges becoming grey as the light on the camera illuminates her form in the ever growing dusk.
"Sorry if i'm makin;' you feel it Logan, but like I said before you deserve your flowers and This is gonna be a learnin' experience for me, On the job training if the BEST kind and so for that one way or another? I thank you and' I don; expect nothin' from you but grade A."
She smiles brightly, the excitement starting to brim form her as she sands and decks what is left of her coffee in a singular long swig making sure the cup ends up in the trash afterwards as she smiles.
"So, goin' forwards whoever of us wins, the crowd will be behind it, we're the openin' bid to Metamorphosis. Some would say we're the hook that draws everyone else in, we are the opening of the metaphorical cocoon that reveals the butterfly. So I'm going out there to keep up with the Impressing Logan... I'm daring you to keep up with me, I know you c'n do it..."
She extended a fist towards the camera as if giving it a fist bump nodding just a bit.
"Welcome to the IWF Logan, lets see what we've got yeah?"
Fade out to Nat's smile.

Fade out to Nat's smile.
Ok Seriously, back in Brooklyn.
This was probably the longest time she'd spent back in her childhood stomping in....Forever.
Family had been a let down, a bust, looking over an old gym sprung floor and a bunch of athletic equipment wasn't doing much for her nostalgia either, you could take New York out of the girl a little it seemed.
Right now the ring felt like home, the baying crowds the travel ,the signing things the training. The endless weights and coffee and having just enough time to catch your breath from sunset to sunset to sunset.
She didn't dare admit that visiting her past was maybe just a little too slow right now, but here she was with spare time and in the area dong exactly that.
Hypocrite.
She roused herself from the intrusive thoughts and walked further into the gym pulling the baseball cap a little closer as she sat on a bleacher and watched some of the forms going through stretches and the odd routine.
"Hey you can't be....Nat?"
The older man paused in assessment as he recognized his former student, curiosity rising in his voice as she gave a subtle single hand wave.
"Hey coach."
The stunned look was worth the telling off she was about to get as she gave the infectious grin to stand up and hug the older man and nods.
"I was in the area, din;t realize you'd closed practice to observers else I'd have been more formal 'bout it."
The older man shoo his head whatever anger he'd felt easing out his form as he was about to start heading towards the floor but noticed Nat wasn't really following him.
"No, it's alright .. You aren;t gonna come say hi to the team? There's some fans of yours in here..."
Nat managed a wry chuckle even as she shook her head.
"Wiser man than me told me a team should be left to practice without having to fawn over their latest obsessions."
The coach winced a bit as Nat used his own words against him and he sat down.
"Your mouth got smarter I noticed."
Natasha smiled warmly and kept up with the talk
"Comes with the territory of the job, gotta be quick with your wits, as it turns out this is a flying visit a come say hi and..."
Out came the envelope with some tickets, offered on up.
"I read my social media, coach...Perks of the job, figured I'd use them to be a bad influence and distract the team with their latest obsession, There's also a signing pass in there for the pre-show event, they can pick any line they want, Nick Knight, Shea O'
Hara, Charlie Shimizu, Dean or Warren Harper, Heck; multiple lines, I can;t swing a free 8x10 though...I gotta make my money somehow... "
She threw a wink his way and adjusted herself, even as he looked at the envelope and back up and frowned a little.
"You gonna tell me what this is about Nat? Friendly neighborhood local celebrity? Looking to buy points or something?"
Natasha shook her head and smiles.
"More a thank you for helping put a couple of yellow bricks in the road coach I'm not looking to interrupt practice I just ..I wouldn't be where I am right without you and this place and I've been gone a while so. Please, take the damn tickets yeah?"
He'd slowly take the envelope off her and nod twice as Nat just smiled and started to head for the exit with a sly chuckle.
"So you're just gonna blow out after that? Not even a coffee?"
Nat nodded a couple of times with a chuckle, shrugging to take the cap off with a bow his way.
"Pretty much, I'll catch up officially when I see ya'll, this is secret squirrel."
She threw a wink his way and adjusted herself, even as he looked at the envelope and back up and frowned a little.

The coach, mystified by this show of generosity but not really questioning it gives Natasha wave as she headed on out.
She would step out into the Brooklyn air, taking in a shivering breath a she looked at a setting sun on the New York skyline, a smile crossing her face.
There's an idea for a promo in there somewhere...
