The gym at the Imperial Performance Centre is bustling with activity, the sound of weights clinking and the hum of treadmills filling the air. April Madrox is in the center of the room, going through a rigorous training regimen, her focus razor-sharp. Brooklyn Madrox, clad in workout gear, stands nearby, a towel draped over her shoulder, watching her sister with a mixture of admiration and concern.
“You're looking good, April. Those punches are hitting harder than ever.”
“Yup, thanks. I've been putting in the work. Can't afford to slack off, especially with the Iron Maiden coming up.”
April's punches land with precision and power, each strike an indication of her dedication to her craft. Brooklyn nods in approval, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of trouble.
“Speaking of, how's the investigation going? Any leads on who attacked Rowan, Virginia, and Astrid?”
Grunting “No, not yet. We've been going through CCTV footage, and talking to witnesses, but so far, nothing concrete. It's like they vanished into thin air.”
April's frustration is clear in her voice as she lands a particularly vicious kick on the punching bag.
“We'll find them, April. We have to. No one gets away with hurting our family.”
Brooklyn's words are laced with determination, her fists clenched at her sides. April takes a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts.
“Yeah, I know … it's just...hard not knowing who we're up against. But we can't let it distract us from the task at hand.”
“Absolutely. Which brings us to your match this week. Abigail, Caroline, and Serenity are no pushovers. You need to be ready for anything.”
April nods, her mind already calculating strategies and scenarios.
“I’m familiar with what Abby can do from her time here at the PC. Caroline comes across like an annoying cinnamon bun but she’s a former world champ for a reason.”
Brooklyn scoffs at this
“Shut up, give her credit. But I feel like Serenity needs to be the one I watch the closest. She was a hair away from winning the Queen’s Gambit briefcase and she’s been carrying a chip on her shoulder ever since. I've studied a bunch of their old matches, and I’ve taken notes on their styles, I’m probably more ready for this than you’d believe. I know what they're capable of which is why I can't shake the feeling that one of them might be involved in the attacks.”
“It's a possibility. We can't afford to underestimate anyone right now. Keep your guard up, April.”
April's expression hardens, her jaw set in determination.
“I'll be ready. And if they try to pull anything, they'll regret it.”
Brooklyn nods in approval, a proud smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
“That's my girl. Now, let's finish up here and grab some dinner. We've got a long night ahead of us.”
As April launches into another round of training, Brooklyn watches her sister with a sense of awe. Together, they will face whatever challenges come their way, united in their quest for justice and victory.

April Madrox sits in front of her webcam, the soft glow of the screen casting shadows across her face. She's in the spare bedroom at Brooklyn's apartment, the place she's called home ever since the attack on Rowan. Her expression is serious, and focused, as she begins to address her upcoming match against Abigail, Caroline, and Serenity.
"Alright, so here we are," April starts, her voice steady. "Three opponents, one shot. This week, it's me against Abigail, Caroline, and Serenity. There’s no point making this pretty, so let's just break it down, yeah?"
She leans forward, clasping her hands together as she begins to dissect each of her opponents.
"First up, we've got Abigail. Now, Abigail's a veteran of the company, no doubt about it. She's been around the block, and seen it all. And you know what? If you promise not to say anything to them about this, I have to admit that she reminds me a lot of Brooklyn. No, it’s not just because of the spooky, supernatural girlfriend thing," April chuckles briefly, a hint of a smile touching her lips before it fades into seriousness once more. "But because they both have that same intensity, that same drive. Abigail's a dark horse in this match, no doubt about it. She's capable of violence, of brutality. And I'm not looking forward to finding out just how far she's willing to go when pushed into a corner. Abby will be the first to admit that the two of us, we’ve got a little history between us. I mean, nothing crazy - not like we’re talking about her origin story or anything. But back when I was deep in the Performance Centre, Abby was there training. Now, she showed potential, don’t get me wrong. But Emma always said to focus your energies on the ones who had that ‘spark’. Abby, God love her, didn’t have that; she was no Rhino Rodriguez that’s for sure. But, then again, look where Abby is now compared to Rhino. I guess Emma and I didn’t know best, huh."
She pauses, letting her words sink in before moving on to the next opponent.
"Then, we've got lil’ Ms. Caroline. Now, Caroline's a former women's world champion. But let's be real here, folks. She won that title during a time when the women's division was at its lowest. It speaks more to Caroline being the best of the worst, so to speak. She's got this bubbly personality, always looking for the best in people. But don't let that fool you. Caroline can rise through the rankings in the women's division, and I know not to take her for granted. But at the same time, she's my best bet at securing a quick victory this week."
April's gaze hardens as she moves on to her final opponent.
"And finally, we've got Serenity. Now, Serenity was a breath away from beating Shea O'Hara for the Queen's Gambit briefcase. She's tough, as tough as they come, and twice as mean. That chip on her shoulder hasn't gotten any smaller since losing to Shea, and I know she's going to come out swinging in this match. But you know what? That chip on her shoulder is also her Achilles heel. It's easily exploitable, and I plan to exploit it."
She leans back in her chair, a determined glint in her eye.
"So there you have it. Three opponents, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. But you know what? None of that matters. Because at the end of the day, I'm walking out of that ring with my arm raised high. Because I'm April Madrox, and I don't back down from a fight."
April pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"But there's something else at stake here. Something bigger than just a match. There's an investigation underway into the attack on our stablemates, and I'm not about to let anyone get away with it. So, Abigail, Caroline, Serenity, if any of you had a hand in what happened, you better watch your backs. Because justice will be served, one way or another."
With that, April ends the recording, the screen fading to black as her words hang in the air, a promise of determination and vengeance.
