Moving into her own apartment marked a new chapter in Rosa De Luca's life. As she unlocked the door to her new space, a mix of emotions flooded her thoughts. It was a fresh start, a chance to rebuild after the storm of her breakup with her girlfriend.
The apartment was bare, waiting for her personal touch to breathe life into its empty rooms. As Rosa unpacked her belongings, memories both sweet and bitter surfaced. She remembered the laughter shared with her ex-girlfriend, but also the tears shed and the arguments that tore them apart.
But Rosa was determined to put the pieces of her life back together. With each item she placed on shelves and hung on walls, she reclaimed a part of herself. She adorned the space with photos of happier times, reminders of the love she had experienced and the strength she possessed to move forward.
As days turned into weeks, Rosa found solace in her new surroundings. She embraced the independence of living on her own, relishing the freedom to decorate as she pleased, to come and go as she wished. She rediscovered old hobbies and pursued new interests, finding joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life.
Though the road ahead was uncertain, Rosa faced it with courage and determination. She knew that healing would take time, but she also knew that she was capable of rebuilding her life, one step at a time. And in her own apartment, surrounded by the echoes of her past and the promise of a brighter future, Rosa De Luca began to find her way back to herself.
Standing in front of the mirror, Rosa took a deep breath, steeling herself for the internal debate she knew she needed to have. She had been avoiding it, pushing it to the back of her mind, but now it was time to confront the idea of returning to a career she had struggled with before.
As she looked at her reflection, doubts crept in. Could she really go back to something that had caused her so much frustration and disappointment? What if she failed again? What if she wasn't good enough?
But then, amidst the doubts, a quiet voice of determination emerged. Rosa remembered the passion she once felt for this career in the ring, the dreams she had once held dear. She remembered the thrill of challenging herself, the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles.
With each passing moment, Rosa found herself gaining courage. She began to list the reasons why she should give it another try. She reminded herself of the lessons she had learned from her past mistakes, and the skills she had developed along the way. She acknowledged that failure was not the end, but rather a stepping stone on the path to success.
As she spoke aloud, the doubts began to fade, replaced by a sense of resolve. Rosa realized that she owed it to herself to at least try again. She owed it to the passion that still burned within her, the dreams that still whispered in her heart.
With newfound determination, Rosa made a promise to herself. She would not let fear hold her back. She would embrace the challenge, face it head-on, and give it her all. Because deep down, she knew that she was capable of more than she ever thought possible.
And with that, Rosa De Luca took the first step towards reclaiming her wrestling career, her confidence, and her sense of self.
Rosa is standing in front of a mirror, back straight shoulder relaxed as she takes a deep breath, "My Name is Rosa De Luca."
She speaks slowly and carefully as if she is worries otherwise will case her Italian accent to make her hard to understand, "I am a very simple woman. I love who I love. I put my hard work on the line every single time I am booked. I don't waste time making a big show of my personal life, it is for no one else but me."
Rosa takes another deep breath, "Do I think women like Kai are a little hard to handle sometimes? She is an enigma. I do not know what she is planning. But I will be ready for it. What do I hope out of my return may be a question one asks? I want what everyone else wants in this company. I wish I was facing someone at the championship level of this company. But the question of whether or not I deserve it enters my mind, as it did before."
Rosa rolls her shoulders slightly, as if easing the tension. Clearly still getting used to being in front of the camera again. "I work hard. I go out and I put the effort into every time I am booked. But I do not have the pedigree many women in this company do. I have not won the big kind of matches many have. I have been gone for a few years."
"But I am willing. I am able. And I want it." Rosa nods to herself. "I had a life before wrestling. I was a soldier. I was a medic. I was a fighter. But I put most of that behind me to give myself fully to this job. I left the company after feeling regulated to opening matches and simply being a warm body when they needed specific numbers for a match. But I am here to try again. I have come with a clear mind and to try once more to find happiness here."
She smiles, "But I am still going to wrestle my heart out there. I assume we both will. We will be two women competing on the battlefield in a business where many would not give us a second look, Kai. I will give you a fight. I will be pushing you to your limits and I hope you do me the courtesy of doing the same. Now will not be a time for Athena. To embrace the wisdom of battle. To embrace the strength she already gives you and to come out the other side stronger."
