The scene unfolds in the backstage area of the wrestling arena, where El Grande Malo is gearing up for his upcoming match against Ethan Rey. Malo, dressed in his flamboyant wrestling attire and signature mask, is busy stretching and warming up, while his faithful cameraman, John (or as Malo affectionately calls him, Juan), looks on with concern.
"Juanito, pass Malo his cape!" Malo commands, gesturing towards a colorful garment draped over a nearby chair.
John hesitates, a worried expression crossing his face. "Malo, are you sure you want to wear the cape? It's... well, it's a bit much, don't you think?"
Malo scoffs, tossing the cape over his shoulders with a flourish. "¡Por supuesto, Juanito! El Grande Malo must always be making the grand entrance! It is all the parts of the shows, sí?"
John shakes his head, resigning himself to Malo's eccentricities. "Alright, Malo. But can we talk for a moment?"
Malo arches an eyebrow, completely unseen beneath his mask, curious about John's sudden seriousness. "¿Qué pasa, Juanito? Why are you having the long faces?"
John takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation ahead. "Malo, I've been thinking... maybe it's time for you to turn over a new leaf. You know, be a good guy for a change."
Malo's eyes widen in disbelief. "¡Qué locura, Juanito! Malo is El Grande Malo! Being bad is in his blood, it is his destiny!"
John sighs, realizing he's in for a battle of wills with Malo. "But Malo, think about it. You've been working with Bob and Jessica on becoming a better person. Maybe it's time to leave your villainous ways behind."
Malo scoffs, waving his hand dismissively. "Senor Bob Pooler and the lovely Chica Bonita Jessica Reed? They do not knowing the first thing about being bad! Malo, he is the master of villainy, the king of the mischiefs!"
John throws up his hands in frustration. "But Malo, being bad isn't the only way to be successful in wrestling! Look at all the greats who've turned over a new leaf and become fan favorites."
Malo crosses his arms defiantly, refusing to budge. "¡No me importa, Juanito! Malo will always be bad to the bones! It is what the fans are loving about him!"
John shakes his head, realizing he's fighting a losing battle. "Fine, Malo. Have it your way. But just remember, being bad might get you attention, but it won't win you any friends."
Malo shrugs, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "Who is needing the friends when you are having the fans, Juanito? Now, let us go give Ethan el Rey the run for his moneys!"
With that declaration, Malo strides confidently towards the locker room door, his cape billowing behind him. John follows close behind, silently vowing not to give up on trying to change Malo's wicked ways.
