------------------------------- SEGMENT Arrival -------------------------------
{ The camera catches Pax and Charlotte as they arrive at the arena. Pax is dressed in a pair of faded jeans with a āNo Damn Brakesā t-shirt while Charlotte wears a pair of black gaucho style pants and a āSkodenā t-shirt while they pull wheeled luggage after them. Pax pauses at the door and Charlotte takes a couple steps before she realizes he had stopped and turns to look at him. He smiles warmly at her. }
Pax Stormcrow: Hey Una, we got a pretty booked night ahead of us and we probably wonāt see each other until after our matches. I just wanted to say good luck. Go kick her ass.
{ Charlotte smiles back and returns to him, leaning up on her toes to kiss his cheek. }
Charlotte Shimizu: Paint that douche-rocket Blue.
Pax Stormcrow: Oh, Iām gonna see him out on a stretcher.
Charlotte Shimizu: { Chuckling } Not exactly what I meant, but it works.
{ Pax smiles down at her before leaning down to kiss her cheek. }
Pax Stormcrow: Iāll catch up with you later. Love you.
{Charlotte freezes, staring at him with a blush turning her a bright red. Pax appears oblivious to her reaction and leans down to give her a quick peck before he turns and walks out of frame. The camera focuses in on Charlotte still looking dumbfounded. }
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Rob Diamond vs. Nick Danger -------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...
{The lights turn red and red smoke follows "Never Giving Up" by Of Mice & Men begin to play and the crowd start to chant RISING ACE! Nick Danger walks out wearing his wrestling attire and red pyro light up the entrance ramp. He walks down the entrance ramp giving fans high fives and a few hugs to the smaller fans. Nick climbs the steel steps and goes to the second turnbuckle and takes of his jacket and toss it to a fan. Nick jump inside the ring and goes to the corner and straighten up his arm sleeve and wait for the match to start.}
Terri Morasco: Vasco, Nick has a huge challenge ahead of him tonight in the form of Rob Diamond. Nick has never shied away from a challenge, however. You could hear the determination in his voice as he spoke about this contest this week, clearly stating he has no plans to fail.
Vasco Dias: The kid also believes people are going to start calling him the Ace of the World, Morasco, which shows how delusional this idiot is. The only way anyone ever calls him that is if an asteroid strikes, wiping out everyone except him and his mother; and then maybe he might be the Ace of the World, in her eyes, when he's fighting cockroaches for food. I'm still not sure I wouldn't bet on the cockroaches to win, though.
{The camera cuts to a shot of Alison as Danger continues to ready himself behind her.}
Alison Valance: And his opponent...
{Suddenly the lights drop out as the opening riff of Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood hits. The entire arena lets out a collective cheer. The graphics on the screen show some of the many highlights of the career of Rob Diamond. The lights in the arena start to strobe pink as the second, third, fourth and fifth riffs all hit with pink pyro launching out of the stage and just as the lyrics kick in, Rob Diamond steps out to enormous cheers! Rob Diamond walks down the ramp slapping hands with the crowd. Rob smirks and points toward the ring as he marches forward. Rob runs up the steps and steps into the ring. Rob hands Alison Valance a note card.}
Alison Valance: At this time, it is my honor and my privilege to introduceā¦ THE MASTER OF DISASTER! THE FACE OF THE FRANCHISE! THE SULTAN OF SWAT! THE INFAMOUS ONE HIMSELF! HE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! ROB DIAMOND!!!!
{After the introduction, Rob throws up both arms with his index fingers in the air as pink pyro erupts along the ring apron behind him before hitting the biggest crotch chop of all time.}
Vasco Dias: I have to be honest with you, Morasco- I don't love this new version of Rob Diamond, either, where he's kissing the asses of people like Nick Danger, Ulf and James Gilmore! It's like someone **cough**ROB**cough** took the real diamond from us -and yes, I'm talking about Chris when I say the real Diamond- and tried to pass off this cubic zirconia version on us.
Terri Morasco: Did you literally just call one of the greatest wrestlers in this sport's long, illustrious history, cubic zirconia?!
Vasco Dias: I said what I said, Morasco. I'm angry. I can be angry! I used to love Rob, and now he's a flippy finisher away from me completely hating his guts! Don't try to pretend I said the most offensive thing on television this week, though.
{The official for this contest, Jessica Andrews, checks in with both men to see if they're ready to start before calling for the opening bell.}
Ding!
{In a show of sportsmanship, the two competitors shake hands to start off the match. They circle each other after the clean handshake before locking up. With both competitors being nearly the same size, neither is able to force each other back. Rob transitions into a go-behind on Nick, looking for a German Suplex; but Nick reverses into a go-behind of his own. Rob pries at the hands and fingers of Danger, separating his hands eventually. The two men's arms shake as Nick fights to reapply the lock, while Rob fights against him to keep it off. The two men maintain that battle as they twist their bodies into a test of strength. Danger initially forces Rob down to a knee, with half the crowd in solid support of Nick. The other half of the crowd starts to cheer as the adrenaline kicks in for Rob, allowing him to battle back up and force Danger to a knee. Rob strikes first with a hard knee to Danger's face!}
{Rob goes on the offensive, delivering a quick Chris handle slam to Nick Danger. Going for the fast W, Rob makes a cover. The official slides into position for a count; but Rob can only hold Nick's shoulders to the canvas for a count of one despite a fundamentally sound cover attempt. After bringing Danger back to a vertical base with him, Rob cinches in a side headlock. Danger backs Rob into the ropes, delivering a quick punch to Rob's midsection to loosen his grip on the hold. Danger whips Rob across the ring. Danger leaps over a ducking Rob on the rebound, with Rob continuing to run. Danger sets his head a moment too early on the veteran though, and Rob delivers a swift kick to the face of Nick. Diamond hoists Danger up and dishes out a punishing atomic drop, followed up by a lunging clothesline that damn near knocks Danger out of his boots! Rob attempts another cover, drawing a two count on Danger this time before Nick kicks out!}
Terri Morasco: Rob very nearly put this one away with that clothesline, Vasco! Danger has so much heart though, it takes a lot to hold him down for three seconds.
Vasco Dias: It can never be said that Nick Danger is smart enough to know when to quit, nor smart enough to know anything else for that matter.
Terri Morasco: Stop.
{The two men are up, with Danger looking worse for wear. Rob tries for his patented release German Suplex he calls the "Owier Wowie", dumping Danger on the back of his head and neck this time. Following up, Diamond lands an ATOMIC LEG DROP! Continuing his vow to try to make the night as short as possible, Rob goes for another cover; but Danger kicks out again at two! Sitting on the canvas, Rob runs his hands through his hair as he ponders his next move to try to put the resilient Nick Danger away. Rob gets up as Danger rests on one knee. Diamond helps Danger to a vertical base so he can shoot him into a corner. Diamond takes the opposite corner, throwing his hand in the air each time as he counts to three to play to the portion of the crowd cheering him on. The Face of the Franchise rushes, looking for a Diamond Splash! However, Nick uses his quickness and agility to slip through the ropes on the veteran; and Diamond's chest catches the turnbuckles! Rob comes away holding his chest as he staggers around, and Nick Danger capitalizes by catching Rob with a springboard codebreaker! Rob ends up flat on his back on the canvas, allowing Danger to try for a cover! The referee slides into position for a count; but Rob kicks out at the count of two!}
{Suffering the effects of earlier damage sustained, Danger is a little slow to get to his feet. This buys Rob a moment to get to his knees. The delay doesn't hurt Danger, however, as he still manages to connect with a Double wrist-clutch knee strike to a kneeling Rob's face! Nick dishes out repeated shoot kicks to a still kneeling Rob's chest followed by a roundhouse to the back of the head! Diamond lands face-down on the mat. Perhaps not feeling that'd be enough for a victory, Nick brings Rob up and performs an impressive Cartwheel Death Valley Driver! Danger goes for a cover now, hooking Rob's near leg; but the count is broken just before the count of three when the referee spots Rob Diamond's far leg resting on the bottom rope! Nick's facial expression tells the story of his stunned disbelief. In his enthusiasm, he had made the cover a bit too close to the ropes, and the veteran ring awareness of Rob Diamond allowed him to break the count with a lift of the leg. Danger goes back on the attack, leaving Rob lay with a "One Shot"!}
Terri Morasco: Danger got all of that, Vasco! The kid from Philadelphia isn't done, though! He's going up top!
Vasco Dias: This could be disastrous to Rob Diamond's return, Morasco! Never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually pulling for Danger too, just so there is a chance I can get the Rob Diamond that I like back!
{Danger attempts a "Red Phoenix", which Rob counters by lifting his knees up! Both men are very slow to get up as the referee begins to exercise a standing ten count on the two competitors. The fans try to rally both men with cheers. Danger is the first to his feet at seven, with Rob following at what would have been an eight count! Nick tries for a full nelson suplex from behind; but Rob prevents him from locking his fingers by thrusting his arms downward! Diamond rocks Danger with a Back fist of democracy! Nick staggers and Rob capitalizes by hitting the Diamond Cutter! Rob makes a cover on Danger, earning a count of three and a victory! Jessica Andrews calls for the bell!}
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Terri Morasco: Danger fought valiantly; however, Rob was just a little bit better on this night, Vasco!
Vasco Dias: A half second, that's all it takes for Rob to hit that cutter, and that's usually the end of the night, Morasco.
{"Bad to the Bone" is playing as the referee raises Rob's arm. Diamond turns around and helps Nick to his feet. Rob raises Nick's arm as the crowd cheers. Danger gives him a nod before rolling out of the squared circle and heading to the back. Rob celebrates his win with crotch chops for the crowd.}
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: Rini Ishikawa, Natasha Walker and Charlotte Shimizu Rini motivates Natasha and Charlotte ahead of the Birds of Prey's semi-final appearances in the Heiress to the Throne and another clash with the Murder after Shea O'Hara's betrayal. -------------------------------
{The camera settles on the Birds of Prey trio, Natasha is currently sitting down, making sure her knee pads are on straight. Charlotte is already fully geared-up and stretching her limbs. The pair arenāt so much quiet as getting their respective heads into the game.
As they keep preparing, Rini Ishikawa bursts into the room with excitement brimming from her form as she bounces between the two with her sing-song tones.}
Rini: āMaasuu, Uransuu! Tonight you face the forces of darkness to see if youāll go on to the Heiress To The Throne finals!ā
{The other two smile a bit as Rini beams brightly, bouncing up to Charlotte and almost spinning on the spot with a few grandiose poses.}
Rini: āMaasu you will be taking on the fearsome Emeraude, Vivienne Daniels!
{She then leans over next to Nat, her momentum carrying her into the woman almost bumping into her which gets Nat to look up and smile as Rini continues.}
Rini: āTin Nyanko will face you down, I know you both have a difficult task ahead but I believe that you can do it! You can win!ā
{Charlotte manages a smile and heads over as the trio now look at each other Charlie speaking with her usual fiery tone.}
Charlotte: āYou realize of course if we do win then that puts us on a collision course.ā
{Rini looks between the two. Nat stands and gets face to face with Charlotte and offers up a fist bump, that smile of her own growing.}
Nat: āBet.ā
{Charlotte grins back, and her knuckles bump with Natās.}
Rini: āMaybe we can get Medical to sedate Tsuki for itā¦ā
{Rini offers up a side line with a smile then frowns thoughtfully.}
Rini: āWhat if Shea interferes?ā
{Nat looks at Charlotte and then shrugs at Rini with a smile.}
Charlotte: āThen what goes around will come around for her, wonāt it?ā
{Charlotte manages a bright laugh as all three hug each other with laughs among them.}
Yes: āLet's go do this thing!ā
{The three girls back up and link arms with Rini between Nat and Charlotte and then head off camera in unison, determination on their faces.}
------------------------------- HEIRESS TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Vivienne Rodgers vs. Charlotte Shimizu -------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following match is for a place in the Heiress to the Throne finale!
Terri Morasco: Things are heating up here. We know that all these matches are important but we have a revisit to a section of The Murder and The Birds of Prey feud.
Vasco Diaz: We are. I have no doubt things will be intense here.
{The arena lights dim to near darkness, creating an atmosphere of anticipation. The crowd murmurs in excitement, their attention focused on the stage. The opening notes of "Lights Out" by Bludnymph begin to play, their haunting and electrifying tones resonating through the arena. As the song builds, a single spotlight illuminates the entrance ramp. A haze of smoke begins to rise, casting an ethereal glow. The screen above the entrance displays a fierce logo: "Vivienne Daniels". At the peak of the intro, the music intensifies, and Vivienne Daniels steps onto the stage. She stands tall and imposing, her presence commanding. She wears a dark, intricately designed leather jacket with angelic, yet dark and gothic, wing patterns embroidered on the back. Her hair cascades down her shoulders.}
Whisper in your ear
Iāll be all your biggest fears
Itās lights out bitch
{Vivienne raises her arms slowly, and as she does, pyrotechnics burst along the ramp, creating an explosion of light and sound. The crowd erupts in boos. She begins her descent down the ramp, each step purposeful and deliberate. Her walk is confident, almost predatory, with the music perfectly syncing with her movements. The camera captures her every step, highlighting her determined expression and the intricate details of her attire. As she reaches the ring, Vivienne pauses for a moment, taking in the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. She climbs the ring steps gracefully. Vivienne steps through the ropes with fluid agility, moving to the center of the ring. She extends her arms once more, and the lights in the arena flicker before dimming to almost complete darkness, with only a single spotlight on her. The music reaches its crescendo, and with a final, dramatic burst of pyrotechnics, the lights snap back on, illuminating the ring in full. Vivienne lowers her arms slowly, her expression one of unyielding confidence and readiness.}
Alison Valance: First down to the ring, Vivienne Daniels!
Terri Morasco: Vivienne seems to be becoming increasingly violent. I hope Charlotte will be okay.
Vasco Diaz: Almost a little Rowan-esc.
{Before the music starts, the tron lights to show a red sun slowly rising over a broad expanse of ocean. The image flies apart into a flurry of red feathers and pink flower petals as the music hits. When the introductory chorus drops, Charlotte strides out, right fist pumping into the air in rhythm with the words āOh yeahā.
She circles the outside of the ring after the intro chorus and the first verse, pausing briefly at each side to work the crowd before climbing nimbly up to the apron before the last line of the verse. On the apron, she takes a running start from one corner towards the ringpost opposite. At the last second, she jumps up to the second turnbuckle and flips over the top rope, landing feet together and hands raised just as the chorus hits again. She again circles, pumping her fist high in time with the pounding guitar and screaming vocals of MYTH & ROID.
As the chorus comes to its end, Charlotte stands in the center of the squared circle and bows from her waist to the audience, her hands clasped at her chest. To her fading music, she strides purposefully to her corner and starts shaking out her hands and rolling her neck in preparation for the coming match.}
Alison Valance: Next to the ring, we have Charlotte Shimizu!
Terri Morasco: Charlotte has her friends supporting her. I bet she feels the love from the crowd.
Vasco Diaz: I doubt that will be enough to overcome the monster Vivienne is becoming.
{The match starts with both wrestlers trading powerful moves, each refusing to back down. Vivienne showcases her technical prowess, countering Charlotte's high-flying acrobatics with her own hard-hitting strikes. Charlotte, known for her agility, manages to evade Vivienne's attacks and launches a series of rapid-fire kicks and flips, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.}
Terri Morasco: Neither of these ladies is backing down here.l
Vasco Diaz: You can feel the animosity here.
{both wrestlers are visibly exhausted but refuse to give an inch. Suddenly, Charlotte attempts her signature finishing move, the "Western Sunrise," but Vivienne reverses it into her own devastating submission hold, muta lock, The crowd erupts as Charlotte struggles to break free, her determination palpable.}
Terri Morasco: Oh we havenāt seen Vivienne try this move in a while.
Vasco Diaz: People forget she has it in her arsenal.
{With sheer willpower, Charlotte manages to power out of the hold and delivers a thunderous "Genbu Shell" to Vivienne. Charlotte goes for the pin 1 2 Vivienne astonishingly kicks out at the last possible moment, shocking everyone in the arena.}
Terri Morasco: Oh my god!
Vasco Diaz: Of course that wasnāt enough!
{The two warriors rise to their feet, glaring at each other with unwavering intensity. They exchange a nod before launching into a final barrage of strikes and counterattacks.}
Terri Morasco: They are really leaving nothing behind here.
Vasco Diaz: Both want to make it to the next stage.
{Charlotte hits Vivienne with a 450* Splash followed by a Spinning Back Fist. Vivienne responds with a Hurricanrana, sometimes followed by mounted punches before the Ref pulls Vivienne off but Charlotte is bleeding.}
Terri Morasco: Vivienne made Charlotte bleed!
Vasco Diaz: She could have done more if the ref minded his business.
{With one swift and decisive maneuver, Charlotte executes a spectacular DUSTBOWL TYPHOONMANEUVER followed by a EASTERN REDBIRD!!}
Vasco Diaz: Oh come on!
Terri Morasco: I meanā¦ better to be sure, I guess.
{Charlotte spits some blood before going for the pin on Vivienne 1 2 3 as the referee's hand slaps the mat for the final count!}
Alison Valance: And your winnerā¦moving on to the Heiress to the throne Finaleā¦ Charlotte āIron Hawkā Shimizu!!
Terri Morasco: She did it!!
{The arena erupts with thunderous applause as Charlotte Shimizu emerges victorious, finally ending their match. Charlotte Shimizu, though the winner hears the sounds of crows and gets up quickly, exiting the ring, looking around for perhaps The Murder to descend.}
Vasco Diaz: But she might not make it out unscathed.
{Even as her music blares Charlotte walks slowly up the ramp, smiling slightly and giving some love to the cheering crowd. At the top, she turns to face the crowd and, with her hands clasped at her chest, she bows at her waist to the crowd before leaving.}
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: TDH and a Surprise Guest TDH meet backstage to prepare Pax Stormcrow for his huge main event and potential appearance in a consecutive Heir to the Throne final... but will they be alone? ------------------------------- { The scene opens in the TDH locker room, with Nate and Jack standing on either side of Pax. The two are dressed in their gear, clearly itching for a fight while Pax sits on a bench. He is also in his gear, face painted as he stares at the wall. }
Pax Stormcrow: Boys I know you want a piece of this asshole just as much as I do. But I gotta ask that you stay in the back unless someone else tries to get involved. Can I trust you both to do that?
{ Jack sighs but Nate crosses his arms. }
Jack Ferriman: Sure, man. I meanā¦ you sure though?
Nate Harris: Fuck that. Let me break his fucking face.
{ Pax lifts a hand to run through his hair. }
Pax Stormcrow: Look, I get it. He deserves every ounce of an ass whoopin. But I donāt need this cowardly racist fuck to drop any excuses. I want to beat his ass, definitively. Make him choke on the fact that heās not on my level and never will be. Then the face breaking can happen.
{ Jack nods and Nate sighs.}
Nate Harris: Fine. But as soon as that bell rings whatever is left of the homophobic asshole is going home in a goddamned body bag.
Jack Ferriman: No murder.
Nate Harris: Come on!
Jack Ferriman: Orange is not your color, babe.
Nate Harris: Fine. But hospital at least.
Jack Ferriman: Maybe never able to knock up his wife.
Nate Harris: Fuck yeah.
Pax Stormcrow: Fuckin a. Unless I already send him there. Always punch bigots.
{ He lifts his fists up and Jack and Nate both knock theirs together against his. }
"No murder?"
{ A voice off camera says with a laugh. The camera pivots, catching a shot of the Black Widow leaning against the doorframe of Team Diversity Hire's dressing room. }
Black Widow: Considering he is bigger than the average human, and the average human has approximately ten-to-twelve pints of blood in their body, should easily give you six to spill before they outfit any of you in orange.
{ She walks in, uninvited. }
Black Widow: Butā¦
{ As she approaches Nate, she attempts to run her gloved hand along Nate's jawline before he pushes it away, drawing a chuckle out of the Widow. }
Black Widow: I think you'd look better in orange than Jack gives you credit for, should you go too far.
{ Offering a half shrug, the Black Widow addresses the group. }
Black Widow: No one would miss Cyrus, anywayā¦ and sometimes there are consequences for our words.
{ She looks at Nate specifically. }
Black Widow: Even when you believe they'll go unnoticed.
{ Turning her back to the group without any hesitation, she walks out of the room with a smile. The three men look at each other in confusion for a moment. }
Pax Stormcrow: Yo, she knows youāre gay, right?
------------------------------- HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Pax Stormcrow vs. Cyrus Daniels ------------------------------- Alison Valance: The following match is a quarter final match for the Heir to the Throne and it is scheduled for one fall!
{ The tron fills with lightning as static comes over the speakers. Slowly each current of electricity on the tron fizzles out until the word 'Skoden' (And the logo for Prairie Fiber remains in the lower right corner) At the sight of the unofficial war cry of Pax appears on the tron the audience roars into cheers as the opening rhythm of Stadium Pow wow thrums through the air.
Pax lifts his fist into the air as the singers kick into the song, but he does not appear his usual self. He stalks his way down the ramp, and while he reaches his hands out to slap hands with the fans, his face is set in a firm mask. }
Terri Morasco: We are seeing a different side of Pax then we might normally see.
Vasco Diaz: Listen up Morasco, and listen well. We are in for a fight tonight.
Allison Valance: Introducing first, from Aitkin, Minnesota. Weighing in at 248 lbsā¦ Pax Stormcrow!
{ He makes a circle around the ring, still slapping hands with the fans before he jumps onto the second turnbuckle, lifting the hood of his coat back and looking up to the ceiling as he basks in the cheers from the crowd. He jumps down from the turnbuckle, but this time he simply tosses his coat out of the ring onto the floor. He hops off the turnbuckle and slides out of the ring to the floor. }
{ "Man In The Box" by Like A Storm hits. Cyrus Daniels walks to the ring with a purpose and a length of chain draped around his neck. Cyrus looks out at the sea of free people around the arena with a noticeable look of disdain. }
Terri Morasco: Cyrus had a lot of strong words coming into this match.
Vasco Diaz: Cyrus knows the meaning of strength far better than you ever would.
Allison Valance: And his opponentā¦
{ Allison doesnāt have a chance to finish however. As Cyrus makes his way down the ramp Pax charges up the ramp. The two men meet in the middle, jawing back and forth as Pax steps up into the taller manās face. The camera mics arenāt able to pick up on what they say before Pax takes a swing on Cyrus. The bigger man easily absorbs the blow, laughing about it before he swings back with a strike that staggers pax down the ramp. Pax wipes at his face for a moment before he charges back in, but goes low and takes down the larger opponent with a double leg take down. }
Terri Morasco: Pax clearly has some thoughts about the heinous things that Cyrus had to say!
Vasco Diaz: I want to like Pax, but once again his hypocrisy comes due. Arenāt we supposed to settle this in the ring?
{ Pax lays in with heavy forearms, taking advantage with his superior grappling abilities, but Cyrus weathers the storm, lashing out with a fist. The boxer is able to crack Pax across the chin, knocking the other man off of him. Pax rolls free, clearly in a daze from the shot and Cyrus pulls the chain from around his neck and lays into the back of Stormcrow as he tries to regain his composure. He lurches in pain, stumbling down the ramp as Cyrus lays in with the chain again and again. }
Terri Morasco: Pax is already in trouble here and the match hasnāt even started!
Vasco Diaz: If he had left it in the ring then Pax may have had a chance. But in a brawl he canāt hope to match up with a man like Cyrus Daniels.ā
{ Pax cries out from the strikes from the chain, and Cyrus swings it above his head for another strike but Pax rises to his knees and lifts his left arm up to block the strike. The chain wraps around his forearm and he yanks it forward, pulling Cyrus towards him so that Pax can level him with a straight arm across his middle. He lifts his left arm, wrapped in the chain and slams it into Cyrusā face. He moves to strike him again before the bigger man tosses him free once more. Cyrus grabs hold of the length of the chain, and swings his body around, using it to propel Pax into the ring barricade. }
Vasco Diaz: What did I tell you? He is no match for this.
Terri Morasco: We might have to get security down here to resolve this!
{ Pax stumbles back from the barricade only to be caught by Cyrus who grabs hold of him and hurls him into the steel steps. The force of it sends Pax flying over the top of them to crash to the floor, clutching at his midsection. Cyrus stalks forward, making his way around the steps as the crowd rains boos down on him. He ignores their jeers and lifts the battered Pax back to his feet, but Pax jumps up and slams his forehead into Cyrusā nose and stuns the bigger man. Then he wraps his arms around his waist and throws him crashing into the ring barricade with a belly to belly suplex! }
Terri Morasco: And Pax fights back! Listen to the cheers of the crowd!
Vasco Diaz: A lucky break.
{ Pax rolls back to his feet, pumping his arms as the crowd lets out their approval before he turns to look towards Cyrus who is rolling on the floor, clutching himself where he collided with the ring barricade. There is a clear conflict of interest on his face before he shakes himself and picks up Cyrus and rolls him into the ring. Pax is soon to follow but he moves into his corner and crouches down to catch a breather from his own battering he had taken outside of the ring. The official moves to check on Cyrus. }
Vasco Diaz: Excellent. Maybe now we can have a good clean match.
Terri Morasco: I agree. Though with the things Cyrus said I find it hard to blame Pax for his actions.
Vasco Diaz: And how did that work out for him, Morasco?
{ Cyrus pushes the ref away from him before pulling himself up to his feet with the ropes, sending a look of hatred across the ring at Pax while the official signals for the bell to officially get the match underway. }
Vasco Diaz: This match should be thrown out for that brutal attack!
Terri Morasco: I feel like youāve said something like āWhat happens before the bell doesnāt count?ā
Vasco Diaz: Shut up Terri.
{ Pax drops down into an amateur influenced stance, leaning forward with his hands relaxed in front of him as he moves his way towards the center of the ring. Cyrus takes a stance influenced by his strike background, bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet as he advances. The two circle each other in the middle of the ring with a few probing motions at each other that are easily avoided or brushed to the side by their opponent. }
Terri Morasco: From the way this started itās surprising to see things slowing down now that the match is underway.
Vasco Diaz: What you are seeing is two skilled competitors with knowledge of their opponent. Cyrus will want to keep Pax at a distance to take full advantage of his superior reach and striking ability while Pax will want to close in and use his technical skills.
{ Pax moves first, lunging forward in an attempt to go for another double leg take down but Cyrus is ready for it, sending a sharp jab at him that Pax backpedals to avoid. Cyrus presses his advantages, sliding forward to send another jab Paxās way. Pax weaves to the side to avoid the blow and suddenly switches directions moving in again to go for the legs. Cyrus sends a stiff left arm at him but Pax was ready for it, the movement towards the legs being a feint. He grabs hold of Cyrusās wrist and slips around behind the bigger man to pull his arm up into a chicken wing. Cyrus reacts quickly, sending an elbow strike at the side of Paxās head. The strike rings his ear and causes him to release the hold as the two men break apart to stare at each other again as the crowd roars from the exchange. }
Terri Morasco: A quick exchange of action here but no one has come out on top yet.
Vasco Diaz: A brilliant display of cat and mouse. Give you two guesses as to who is who.
{ Cyrus moves in first this time, shooting out the stiff boxing jabs that he is known for. Paxās lowered stance and relaxed hands let him easily swat the blows to the side and he stands his ground as Cyrus moves in. He is clearly looking to let Cyrus close with him so that he can turn this into a grapple, but Cyrus switches up his strikes, driving an MMA style elbow down onto the top of Paxās head that drives him down to the mat. Cyrus, intent on letting him recover moves in and starts putting boots to his prone opponent. }
Vasco Diaz: Pax is a superb wrestler but he went and got himself into a fight and thereās no better fighter than Cyrus Daniels.
Terri Morasco: Pax is in trouble now.
{ Unable to push himself to his feet as Cyrus rains his boots down on him, Pax tries to roll to the side to get free. Cyrus starts to aim his kicks to his midsection, driving the toe of his boot into Paxās ribs. But suddenly Pax reacts quickly, grabbing hold of Cyrusā leg and twists him around with a dragon screw that brings the big man down onto the mat. Pax pushes himself to his knees, maintaining control of Cyrusā leg as he transitions it into an ankle lock. Cyrus struggles to break free of the hold, lashing back with his free foot but Pax makes his way back to a vertical base, fulling locking the hold in, yelling in anger as he twists Cyrusā ankle around. }
Terri Morasco: And now heās out of it! Pax is capable of getting himself out of any situation!
Vasco Diaz: Heās slippery like an eel, thereās no doubt of that. But heās gonna learn that an ankle lock on a larger opponent is a tricky business.
{ Indeed, Pax isnāt able to completely elevate Cyrusā leg off the mat, which allows the taller man to pull the two of them towards the ropes until he can grab hold of it. The official starts the count, but instead of breaking the hold as is his usual custom, Pax stares down the official as he keeps the hold on until the four count. He releases the hold, tossing Cyrusā leg to the ground as he steps away, which earns a ripple of uncertain reaction from the crowd. }
Terri Morasco: Uncharacteristic aggression from Pax. He normally breaks a hold instantly.
Vasco Diaz: This is the type of behavior Iād like to see more of from him! Heās edging on being one of the greats if heād just stop being so noble!
Terri Morasco: From the vitriol that spewed out of Cyrusā mouth towards him and his friends, itās hard to blame him.
{ Cyrus makes his way back to his feet, hand still on the ropes as he tests putting weight on the abused ankle. The ref checks in with him but the big man waves him away with irritation. Pax charges in once the ref is clear and Cyrus moves to meet him, throwing another stiff jab. But Pax lifts his forearms up to block the blow and pushes through to wrap the bigger man up to the cheers of the crowd! Pax starts to lift him, clearly intending a belly to belly but Cyrus brings both his fists down to slam into Paxās ears. The blow dazes Pax and he drops Cyrus back down to the mat who responds with his own belly to belly to send Pax crashing into the mat. Cyrus rolls over, moving into a mount position to start raining forearms down onto Paxās head and chest. Pax plants his hands on the mat, bridging his body upwards with a shout and the movement manages to throw Cyrus off of him. Both men push themselves to their feet, but Cyrus is quicker, and he moves back in on his dazed opponent. He starts to drill into the smaller man, tossing jabs into Paxās midsection and drives him back into the ropes. He keeps up the assault to a chorus of boos from the crowd as the ref starts the count and eventually has to interpose himself between them to push Cyrus away. }
Terri Morasco: Cyrus milked that count for all 5 seconds. The ref would have been well within his rights to disqualify him!
Vasco Diaz: If Pax can dish it out then he can take it. You know no one wants to see this end in a disqualification!
{ Pax pushes himself off of the ropes an arm pressed against his middle but he moves forward, looking to lock up with Cyrus. Cyrus moves forward, feinting a shot at his head that brings Paxās guard up so that he can double him over with a kick to the midsection. Cyrus pulls his opponent forward and lifts him up into the air to slam him down with a powerbomb that shakes the mat. He goes for the cover, folding Pax over but Pax gathers himself and kicks out and one and a half. Cyrus stays on him, clubbing him in the face with a fist, ignoring the ref's calls about using a closed fist. He grabs Pax by the arm and lifts him above his head with a grunt, holding him in a military press before he slams him down onto the mat with a Jailbreak. He moves for the cover, hooking both of his legs up.

Pax neck bridges out of the pin! Cyrus grabs his head and slams it down into the mat before getting up, arguing with the ref about the speed of their count. }
Terri Morasco: More devastating offense from Cyrus in this match. Things arenāt looking good for Pax.
Vasco Diaz: Cyrus nearly had him there. A competitor like Pax you always gotta be careful about controlling his head in a pinning predicament.
{ The crowd boos Cyrus as Pax slowly makes his way to his feet. Cyrus gestures dismissively at the ref before turning back to his opponent as he slowly regains his feet. He returns his attack to Paxās body, throwing in a series of body shots that the embattled Stormcrow is unable to block successfully. He follows up with an uppercut that sends Pax into the ropes. He rebounds back towards Cyrus who pulls him down, looking for another powerbomb or perhaps try to finish it with a Lethal Injection. He leans down to pick Pax off the mat, but with a defiant scream Pax stands up, lifting Cyrus up onto his shoulders and falling back to plant the big man with an Olympic Slam. }
Terry Morasco: Desperation move from Pax Stormcrow! I canāt believe he had it in him!
Vasco Diaz: Heās paying for it though. The work that Cyrus has done to his torso is showing.
{ Pax rolls to his feet as Cyrus struggles up to his knees. Pax rushes at him, looping his arm over his back to lift him up into the air and dropping him back to the mat with a suplex. He moves for the cover but Cyrus throws his arm up with authority before the official even has a chance to move into place to make the count. Pax takes hold of Cyrusā arm, trying to maintain control as he pulls them to their feet. Cyrus tries to push Pax off him and is successful, but Pax rebounds off the ropes and runs in, wrapping his arms around the bigger man and trapping his arms against his side. Knowing what is coming, Cyrus struggles to break free and attempts a headbutt, but the size difference means it glances off the top of Paxās head. With a loud grunt Pax heaves the big man into the air and dumps him backwards with a belly to belly suplex to the roar of the crowd. Pax gathers his legs up and kips up onto his feet with a yell, pumping his arms as he circles the ring to pump up the crowd with him. }
Terri Morasco: Pax is in the driver seat now!
Vasco Diaz: Donāt count Cyrus out yet. This will only go so far.
{ Cyrus has crawled towards the corner, using the turnbuckle to pull himself to his feet as he tries to shake the cobwebs from his head. Pax turns then, seeing him leaning into the turnbuckle. With a wide grin, he charges in, the cheers growing louder as the crowd knows what comes next. Pax slams into the back of Cyrus, pressing him into the turnbuckle before wrapping his arms around the big manās waist. He lifts him up into the air and rolls backwards, attempting the Chaos Theory, but the height difference means that the two of them are unable to complete the roll. Pax looks around exasperated before he shakes his head, leaning down to wrap his arms around Cyrusā waist. With another loud shout, he picks the big man off the mat and plants him down with a deadlift suplex. He maintains the hold, pushing himself up onto his toes to bridge into a pin! }
Terri Morasco: I canāt believe it!
Vasco Diaz: Pax just deadlifted Cyrus off the mat!

{ Cyrus kicks his long legs up, breaking the pinfall and sending both of them sprawling across the mat. Both men are slow to rise, though Pax makes his way to his feet first. But he has his left arm held tight across his middle as he clearly struggles for breath. Cyrus pushes himself to his feet, holding his hand across the back of his neck. The two men stand on opposite sides of the ring, staring hatefully at each other. The both spit out words that thankfully the mics donāt pick up before they move to the center of the ring. The two men meet in the middle, staring each other down before Pax unloads on Cyrus with a chop across his chest. Cyrus returns the favor with a blow to his. The two men stand in the middle, exchanging blows as the crowd noise builds in volume as the two men unleash on each other! }
Terri Morasco: The fans are coming unglued!
Vasco Diaz: They love to see a grudge match come to blows!
{ The two men continue to exchange blows but it becomes apparent that Cyrus has the clear advantage in a striking situation. Pax is flagging from the strikes and then Cyrus drives another stiff punch into his midsection. He grabs hold of Pax, holding him down so that he can change to knee strikes, pummeling his smaller opponent. Pax fights through the pain, reaching down to grab hold of Cyrus and pick the big man up once more and plant him back into the mat with a powerslam. They both lay on their backs, Pax clutching his midsection and wincing in pain before he rolls over to make the cover.

Cyrus throws his arm up to break the pin. }
Terri Morasco: Another near fall attempt from Pax. If only he had moved in to make the cover sooner.
Vasco Diaz: The beating heās gotten from Cyrus is starting to show, just like I said it was. You can see heās struggling for breath even now. Looks like Pax may be the one going to the hospital.
{ Pax winces in agony before rolling over and moving into a mount position on top of Cyrusā prone form. He lays into the bigger man with his forearms, striking into the manās face and upper chest and while the crowd does cheer there does seem to be some trepidation on the uncharacteristic behavior from Pax. The ref finally has to intercede, pulling Pax off of Cyrus. }
Terri Morasco: I canāt say I blame the anger that Pax is feeling but he has to be careful or else heāll get himself disqualified.
Vasco Diaz: I love to see it. If only he brought this fire in every match.
{ Pax pulls himself to his feet, lifting one arm in the air as the crowd cheers. His other arm stays around his middle, held tight against his ribs. Once the ref clears away from Cyrus, the big man pushes himself back to his feet as well. He shakes himself, lifting a hand up to smack the side of his head to clear it up. The two men close once more. Cyrus, eager to be on the offensive again, lines up a left-right-left combo at his smaller opponent. Pax weaves away from the first strike and slaps the second away. The third he intercepts, grabbing hold of the manās wrist. He maintains control, pulling Cyrus in close to lock his arm in a hammerlock which causes the crowd to erupt into cheers. }
Terri Morasco: This could be it!
Vasco Diaz: I wouldnāt be so sureā¦
{ Cyrus struggles to break Paxās hold on him, but a few stiff forearms from his forearm send the big man reeling. Pax wraps his arms around him and starts to lift him off the ground before he cries out in pain and drops him back to his feet. He shakes his head, planting a few more forearm strikes into Cyrus before he tries again. He actually lifts the man clear of the mat, the muscles in his neck standing out in stark definition before he stumbles forward, clutching at his ribs in clear signs of pain. }
Vasco Diaz: I told you! The damage has already been done!
Terri Morasco: What is Pax going to do if he is not able to elevate Cyrus from the mat?
{ Pax shakes himself again, taking several deep breaths before he pulls Cyrus in close, leaping up slightly to drive his head into Cyrusā chin with a hard headbutt that sends the bigger man staggering. He grits his teeth and gathers his legs under him. Then with a shout he powers the big man over him, dropping him back onto the mat. }
Terri Morasco: Peace Out! Pax got him up!
Vasco Diaz: But can he hold the pin!
{ Pax pushes himself up onto his toes in the bridge, dropping all of Cyrusā weight on his shoulders as the ref slides into position.

3! The official jumps to their feet and signals for the bell! }
Alison Valance: Your winner by pinfallā¦ Pax Stormcrow!
Terri Morasco: Pax has done it! For the second year in the row Pax has advanced to the Finals in Heir to the Throne!
Vasco Diaz: Ya, but at what cost? You think heās going to be able to take Dean Harper or Madjinn like this?
{ āStadium Pow wowā thunders through the arena as Pax rolls off of his beaten opponent. He lays on the mat, clutching at his middle for a moment as he catches his breath. Then he gingerly gets to his feet as the ref holds his arm up in victory as the crowd cheers. He looks down in disdain at Cyrus and once the ref has released his arm he flips the prone Cyrus the bird before he lifts both of his arms into the air, moving to each side of the ring as the fans clap and chant his name to the beat of his music. }
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: Roberto Verona, Serenity Holmes and Nate Harris Roberto Verona meets with the IWF Invictus and Gladiator champions to discuss the future of their belts. -------------------------------
{ We return backstage as we enter the office of IWF CEO Roberto Verona who sits behind his desk, flanked again by his Legion, with the JITP briefcase laid neatly atop it. Standing in the room is IWF Invictus champion Serenity Holmes who gets a cheer from the crowd before another cheer as IWF Gladiators champion Nate Harris emerges. }
Nate Harris: You wanted to see me?
Roberto Verona: I did, I believe congratulations are in order, Harris. Well done on your recent victory over Jason Hathaway.
{ Nate eyes Verona with suspicion. }
Nate Harris: Thanksā¦
Roberto Verona: Thereās no catch, Nate, you earned your shot and you took it. Iām not a monster.
Nate Harris: Why did you want me?
Roberto Verona: Straight to business, a man after my own heart. I wanted to discuss your first title defence.
Nate Harris: Iām ready for anybody.
Roberto Verona: Oh, Iām sure you are, which is why Iāve decided to make this more interesting.
Nate Harris: I donāt followā¦
Roberto Verona: Next week, youāll put your IWF Gladiators Championship on the line ā against a mystery opponent. Weāll find out just how ready you are to take on anybody.
{ Nate looks at both Serenity and Verona. }
Nate Harris: May I leave now?
{ Roberto nods as Harris turns and walks away. }
Serenity Holmes: I assume youāve got something for me too?
{ Roberto nods. }
Roberto Verona: Naturally. Rest assured that we will determine your next challenger, however... It just so happens you and I also have the same problem, Serenity. Youāve done well to respect my request to restrain yourself from acting rashly ā which is why Iāve chosen to reward you for your diligence.
Serenity Holmes: Iām ready for whatever youāve for me.
Roberto Verona: I have no doubts, thatās why I am going to provide you with an opportunity to get your pound of flesh. Next week, Iām giving you Allen Chaney.
{ Roberto smiles. }
Roberto Verona: But you wonāt be alone. Iāll be presiding over the match as Special Guest Referee.
{ Serenity nods, seemingly satisfied at her opportunity for payback. }
Serenity Holmes: Iāll make sure he regrets interfering in my businessā¦
Roberto Verona: Iāve every faith you will. In fact, to ensure that he will have no way of escaping your justiceā¦ weāll settle this inside a steel cage.
{ Serenity bows her head respectfully as she turns to walk away and out scene ends with Verona gently patting the top of the JITP briefcase. }
------------------------------- HEIRESS TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH April Madrox vs. Natasha Walker ------------------------------- Alison Valance: The following Contest is a Heiress to the Throne semi-finals match! Introducing first, from Las Vegas, NV. Weighing in at 141 lbs, April Madrox!
{ The lights throughout the arena flicker and go black, with several of the lights around the entrance seeming to overload, sending sparks flying down the stage. One by one, the screens flicker back to life showing a harvest moon hanging in a cloudy sky as the sound of fluttering wings and screaming crows fills the building. The screens soon swarm with the silhouettes of these birds, drowning out the moon and filling the arena once more in darkness as the opening strings of āThe Devilās Gonna Comeā by Raphael Lake & Royal Baggs begins to play. }
āThe Broken and Fallen, dangled souls been sent to burn,
Nowadays they been calling, telling me soon itās gonna be my turnā¦ā
{ A dark red spotlight hits the stage, revealing April standing with her hands on hips. }
āNow I knowā¦ the Devilās gonna come when the sun goes downā¦ā
{ April makes her way down to the ring, quickly climbing the ring steps and wiping her feet on the apron before stepping into the ring and walking with purpose to the middle of the ring, raising a hand into the air and clenching it into a fist as the house lights return to normal. }
Terri Morasco: April has been going through a lot ever since we found out that her partner was the one behind the attack on the Murder.
Vasco Diaz: Her first mistake was trusting Dean in the first place. You lay down with a monster and thatās what you get. Dean is cold blooded and always has been.
Alison Valance: And her opponent, from Queens, New York. Weighing in at 135 lbs. She is the Techno Tsuchigumoā¦ Natasha Walker!
{ "Riot" starts to roll the Distinctive drums into the arena as the lights dim, before stepping out the back in her outfit comes Natasha on time with the Scream in the track the thin "webbing" on her outfit lit up by UV as she bops to the beat and moves down the Ramp, taking a moment to hop to sit on the top rope Facing the crowd in a corner before draping backwards slowly to hang herself back and the use her extraordinary flexibility to pitch back onto her feet with a smile. }
Terri Morasco: It almost seems like fate that the semi-finals of the Heiress to the Throne would come down to The Murder vs the Birds of Prey.
Vasco Diaz: Fate? Hardly. The Birds of Prey have been sticking their noses in The Murderās business since they got here.
Terri Morasco: Rather revisionist of you, donāt you think?
{ The official signals for the bell and the two women in the ring move eagerly to the center to the appreciative cheers of the crowd. Natasha strikes first, grabbing April into a collar and elbow tie up. Nat tries to position April into a submission hold, but Aprilās gymnastic training grants her the flexibility to bend and twist her way clear. What results is an exchange of holds and small breaks as each woman tries to capture and then escape from each other. Eventually, Nat seems to get the advantage in the grapple, rolling April through into a single leg crab. However April, showcasing her trained flexibility bends backwards far enough to wrap an arm around Natās throat and nearly gets a choke hold applied before Nat is forced to make a break from the hold and the two spin away to get distance from each other. }
Vasco Diaz: A brilliant moment of differing holds there. Not quite the catch as catch can as I like to see but this is wrestling and it should feel like it. That almost felt like wrestling!
Terri Morasco: Nat certainly seemed to have the advantage there, but Aprilās gymnasticās background really helped to even the playing field.
{ The two women stared across the ring at each other before April decided to strike first. She rushed at Natasha, vaulting forward into a handspring, looking for a back flip DDT. Natasha scouts the move and nimbly ducked out of the way from attack. April is able to keep her momentum going, doing a second backflip to spring off the ropes and rebounded into an enziguri. But Natasha, deciding to show off her own flexibility, bridges away with a Matrix bend evasion from the attack so that the kick sails over her. The women spin towards each other and Natasha gives a smirk and wags her finger in Aprilās direction as the crowd loudly cheers for both competitors. }
Terri Morasco: Thereās been a lot of talk of the similarities between these two competitors and I think we can see why now.
Vasco Diaz: The two of them are going to need to get serious and rely on their differences to get an edge in this fight though.
{ Having demonstrated their flexibility, this time the women meet up to show off their striking skills. April opens it off, lashing out at Natasha with a couple strong side kicks, forcing her opponent to back pedal away to avoid them rapid assault. April tries to follow up with a low kick aimed at Natashaās knees, but she vaults over the leg in an attempted penalty kick. April snaps her arms around to block the kick and then leaps into a standing moonsault to slam into Natasha. She moves for the cover and gets a quick one before Natasha kicks out. However Natasha reacts quickly, grabbing hold of April and dragging her over her body into a crucifix pin that April kicks out of at one. Natasha does not let it phase her, locking in an armbar hold while she has her there. April leans into the hold, trying to ease the pressure from the hold. Using her flexibility she flips over onto Natasha and rolls her up into a cover. Natasha keeps the hold on long enough for a two count before she releases and kicks out. }
Terri Morasco: A good flurry of offense here shown by both women. The crowd is eating this up.
Vasco Diaz: One of them is going to need to kick this into overdrive if they expect to win.
{ Perhaps the two of them heard Vasco. Regardless, once they gained their feet they moved in on each other, exchanging kicks to the increasing roar of the crowd. Their skin starts to redden from the assault as each one takes turns striking the next and slowly the wear from the battle starts to show as each attack comes later after the next. Each blow staggers the opponent a little more. Natasha seeks to change things first, leaping into the air to hit a drop kick that floors April to the mat. Seeing her chance, Natasha rushes to the turnbuckle and boosts herself to the top rope. She lifts her arms, shouting at the crowd to pump them up before she springs off the top rope, body spinning through the air into a Goblin Glider. But April gathers her legs up, kipping up at the last possible moment so that Natasha finds the pool empty when she slams into the mat. }
Terri Morasco: No! Nat could have ended the match right there!
Vasco Diaz: Could have, but didnāt. More experience under her belt would have told her it was far to early to pull a move like that.
{ Natasha is slowly pulling herself to her feet. April looks at her before she turns and runs into the ropes. She rebounds them just as Natasha regains her feet. As she runs back towards the rising Nat she leaps into the air andā¦ }
Terri Morasco: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! A devastating move from April. Natās head bounced off the mat!
{ April rolls over onto Natasha, grabbing her leg and lifting it up as she made the cover.

3!
The ref signals for the bell as āDevilās Gonna Comeā blasts from the speakers. April slowly picks herself off the mat, breathing heavily as the official moves to lift her hand in victory. }
Alison Valance: Your winner by pinfallā¦ April Madrox!
Terri Morasco: A hard fought battle by both women tonight.
Vasco Diaz: April Madrox was just a step ahead and cinched a win for The Murder.
{ The camera zooms out as April celebrates her victory in the ring before going to commercials. }
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: Jennie Fenix and Allen Chaney Allen Chaney and Jennie Fenix reflect on last week's main event and Jennie's role as match official. -------------------------------
{ The cameras go backstage to find Allen Chaney sitting alone inside of his fiancĆ©eās office. The camera zoomed in, and just from off the frame, a hand entered the frame with a boba held out. The camera pans out to unveil Cliff Cook, Jennieās assistant, standing there. }
Cliff Cook: Can I offer you a boba in these trying times?
Allen Chaney: ...................Why am I here, Cliff? I'm not booked. I'm not wanted. I'm even starting to think my fiance believes I am in the wrongā
{ Cliff sits on the edge of the desk, listening intently to Allen. }
Allen Chaney: āand I could literally be at Tokyo Disneyland instead right now. They make melon bread that looks like Mike Wazowski, Cliff. I could go meet Baymax and he wouldn't hate me or take something from me I already earned or lie to me and I wouldn't feel like I was fucked no matter what I do because I banked on a legal case that went nowhere because apparently I'm just a fucking idiot and now I have a fight ahead of me where the odds will be so stacked against me that I don't even know if I'm going to bother showing up to fight him and you have the BALLS to not already have the boba you KNOW I like in hand while I am going through all of this? You KNOW Iām a Honeydew Milk Tea man!
Cliff Cook: I can assure you that Jennie doesnāt believe youāre in the wrong, Allen, and I can assure you as well that you are wantedā¦even when youāre not booked. Like, if you werenāt wanted, why would you still be here? I mean, really, letās look at the facts: Roberto Verona has the power to fire anyone on a whim, but rather than firing you, he wants to fight you. And I know, I know, I knowā¦ I know, I know, I know that the odds arenāt exactly in your favor, but come on! Youāre Allen FREAKING Chaney!
{ Cliff takes a momentary pause as if to break the fourth wall. Hopefully no royalties are owed. }
Cliff Cook: Itāll take a lot more than an angry boss to send you packing.
Allen Chaney: Heās keeping me here because he likes toying with me. Is that not obvious to you? Iām wanted as a plaything. That does not feel good, Cliffy. It feels the opposite of good. It feels bad, in fact.
Cliff Cook: Heās been trying to toy with you, but youāve always found a way to make things backfire against him!
{ Cliff says enthusiastically. }
Cliff Cook: Andā I think this is it, if you just keep marching forward! Like, think about it, heās now put himself in a bindā¦if you can beat him, heās gotta give you your signed contract! He has to! By his own ruling. Heā
{ Cliff raises his head, something clearly garnering his attentionā¦in doing so, Allen also raises his head as the camera pans out to unveil Jennie Fenix walking into the doorframe, and despite the pressure, she still wears a smile. }
Jennie Fenix: Sorry Iām late, babe!
{ She says and goes in for a kiss with Allen. She then gestures for Cliff to scootch over, as she leans against her desk, and lets out an exasperated sigh. }
Jennie Fenix: Iām trying to get Roberto to do the right thing, but heāsā¦prettyā¦set on his decision.
{ She shakes her head and rolls her eyes. }
Jennie Fenix: And do yāknow how annoying it is when youāre heading to do something for someone, and then someone else needs your attention?! Likeā Iām in the middle of something, can you justā OH, ITāLL JUST TAKE A SECOND! Like, BITCH, IāM BUSY! They donāt get it.
{ Allen and Cliff nod their heads in understanding. Thereās an awkward silence as Jennie and Allen just look at each other, and you can see the confusion and frustration in her eyesā¦ }
Jennie Fenix: Babe, I really donāt know why you didnāt just let me disqualify Sabin last week.
Allen Chaney: Becauseā
Jennie Fenix: He broke the rules! Iāve had a number of people on my back already under the impression that I bend rules for him, and he did itā¦he shouldāve been disqualified. It should be you facing Dean!
Allen Chaney: I just didnāt wanna win like that.
Jennie Fenix: I get that, butā¦damn!
{ She snickers. }
Cliff Cook: Wellā
{ Cliff clears his throat. }
Cliff Cook: How I see it is you were damned if you did, and damned if you didnāt, andā¦wellā¦
{ Cliff gestures to Allen. }
Cliff Cook: Allen made his decision. Yāknow? We canāt turn back timeā¦ we canāt reverse the decisionā¦ and I justā I donāt knowā you did what was requested!
{ Jennie takes a deep breath. Sheās fighting the thoughts in her headā¦one side knowing exactly how Allen feels, as she was in a similar situation against Brooklyn Madrox earlier this year; she made no excuses as to her loss, and had she been able to have a say, sheād have wanted the match to keep going. It was pride. }
Allen Chaney: The next time I get in the ring with that nephew of yours, Iām gonnaā
Jennie Fenix: Youāre gonna whoop his ass! I love him to death, but heās out of controlā¦ And what happened last week shouldnāt stand, and then Randonā
{ She grumbles. Cliff grumbles. Allen grumbles. }
Jennie Fenix: Likeā thatās how he wants to run his show! Overriding the refereeās decisions, but I know that they all know how to do their jobsā¦I donāt want to be the one to go out there and override them.
Cliff Cook: I meanā you didā you kind ofā¦ sort ofā¦ did reverse a decision?
Jennie Fenix: That was something that they hadnāt seen! If theyād have seen it, theyād have called it! I still stand that that was the right call!
{ Cliff and Allen both shrug their shoulders, and give a subtle nod. }
Jennie Fenix: Butā¦just listen to me, babyā
{ She says while putting her hands on Allenās shoulders, getting a little closer to him. }
Jennie Fenix: This match you have against Roberto is booked, okay? I canātā I canāt reverse his decisionā¦ I canāt cancel his decisionā¦ but please, please, please, let me take care of it and trust me when I say that Iām going to do everything I can to ensure that you have a fair match! I know that you donāt want me to pull any strings to favor youā¦and I donāt want to get in the way of business. Your business is yours, and mine is mine, butā it is my business to ensure you have a fair match. Soā¦ trust me. Okay?
{ Allen remains silent for the time being, but he looks up to his fiancƩe, and nods. The feed cuts. }
------------------------------- MAIN EVENT HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Madjinn vs. Dean Harper -------------------------------
{ The lights throughout the arena suddenly go outā¦replaced by pink and blue strobe lights as the music begins to kick in. }
I'm good, yeah, I'm feeling alright Baby, I'ma have the best fucking night of my life And wherever it takes me, I'm down for the ride Baby, don't you know I'm good, yeah, I'm feeling alright 'Cause I'm good, yeah, I'm feeling alright Baby, I'ma have the best fucking night of my life And wherever it takes me, I'm down for the ride Baby, don't you know I'm good, yeah, I'm feeling alright
{ Fog fills the stage as the lights continue flashing in sequence with the musicā¦but thereās not much wasted time as Madjinn comes out from the tunnel in the middle of taking a drag of his cigarette; clad in a pink beanie, a button shirt with the buttons already undone, and his usual wrestling pants and boots. The Roman numerals of āXIā and āVā are painted under his left eye as he takes a step forward with a smirk on his face. The Black Widow crawls out from the tunnel behind him, and under his legs before finally sitting up in front of him. He takes a handful of her hair and gives a firm pull, seemingly exciting her before finally standing up. Madjinn takes another drag from his cigarette, and then he and Brandy lock lips, shotgunning the smoke with each other before she takes the cigarette from him and leads the way down the ramp. }
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen! On his way to the ring! HE! IS! { She reads a note again. } THE SUPERIOR BROTHER! The BEAST WITH MANY NAMES! THE DESTROYER OF MARRIAGES, and the one your lovers think of in bed! HE! IS! THE! MAD! PRINCE! MAAAADDDDDJJJJJIIIINNNNNNNNNN!
{ Madjinn takes off his shirt while on the ramp, and tosses it to the audience, along with his beanieā¦he breaks into a quick sprint, jumping to the ring apron, and then walks over to the turnbuckle to climb up to the second rope where he poses for the crowd for a momentā as if walking on air, he takes a step forward, dropping inside of the ring, and then rolls forward and goes into the corner to await the start of the match. }
Vasco Dias: I donāt envy Deanās position here tonight! Heās gotta take on his younger brother, and truth be told, his younger brother could be the better man tonight! Heās taken on some of the best that IWF has had to offer! And whatās one more?!
Terri Morasco: This is gonna be a good one, folks!
{ Intro of "Popular Monster" by Falling in Reverse begins to play. The arena is plunged into darkness, with only a few spotlights scanning the crowd. As the first verse starts, a low, pulsating beat resonates throughout the arena, building anticipation }
āCause Iām about to break down Searching for a way out Iām a liar Iām a cheater Iām a non-believer Iām a popular, popular monster I break down falling into love now With falling apart Iām a popular popular monster "
{ As the chorus hits, a sudden explosion of pyrotechnics erupts at the entrance ramp. The spotlights converge to illuminate Dean Harper. He walks down to the ring with his head held high and a wicked smile on his face. He jumps up onto the apron before springing on the bottom rope into the ring. Once in the center of the ring, Dean methodically removing his jacket and tossing it aside, revealing his tattooed muscular physique. The music fades, leaving only the sound of the crowdās roar and Dean Harper standing in the center of the ring, ready for the battle ahead. }
Terri Morasco: Dean Harper looks ready for battle here tonight, and heās going to have a battle ahead of him as he goes one-on-one with Madjinn!
Vasco Dias: This is pay-per-view quality right here! This is something that everyone should have to pay to see! But theyāre getting itā¦for free!
{ The bell sounds, and the brothers are hesitant to lunge forward ā they circle the center of the ring, their eyes locked, seemingly looking for an opening against the otherā¦ Despite the slow start, the crowd is still going wild in anticipation for what they know this match will bring, and without further ado, they clash in the center of the ring! A collar-and-elbow lock up, but Madjinn quickly transitions into a reverse waistlock! He looks to take Dean with a back suplex, but Dean is able to break his grip, and circle behind him to get Madjinn into a reverse waistlock of his ownā but Madjinn is able to break the grip, and Dean answers by shoving Madjinn forward, sending him against the ropesā¦
On the rebound, Dean looks for the GERMAN SUPLEX!
Madjinn is stuck in the reverse waistlock position, but heās able to fight Deanās grip a littleā Dean has his grip locked.
Madjinn is able to answer with a few swift elbows that connect with Dean several times! The final one dazes Dean enough causing him to stumble back, and Madjinn is right there with him as the two now begin trading back and forth with each other ā an armdrag from Madjinn to Dean sends him back to the center of the ring, but Dean rolls through and is quick to his feet, and then Madjinn rushes forward only for Dean to counter with an armdrag of his own! Dean looks to go right into an armbar, but Madjinn angles himself out of it and persists back to his feet delivering a swift knife edge chop that staggers Dean! Dean fires back with his own! The crowd is lighting up while the two brothers continue battling back and forth with one another, each one answering the other with a series of chain grappling, going into strikes that the other always seems to have an answer for. Madjinn finally connects with a good elbow that sends Dean stumbling, Dean catching himself on the ropes, and Madjinn charges in! Dean counters for shoulder back toss! Madjinn is able to snatch the ropes and shift his weight to land on the ring apron, albeit off-balanceā¦while trying to regain his balance, Dean is able to connect with a clean elbow that dazes his brother on the ring apron, and the crowd is buzzing as Dean sees his golden opportunityā he rushes the far ropes, and comes back to look for DESCENT INTO HELL! }
Terri Morasco: The former world champion is looking for something big!
Vasco Dias: I hope we donātā
{ MADJINN IS QUICKER ON THE DRAW! }
Vasco Dias: Oh, thank God!
{ Madjinn uses a sunset flip over the top rope, and rolls Dean up into a cover, and Colt goes to make the count! }
ONE! TWO!
{ Dean shifts his weight, and takes control of the cover! }
ONE! TWO!
{ Madjinn shifts his weight, but Dean rolls backward out of it and immediately goes for a basement front dropkick that hits the mark! Dean is looking for the cover, but Madjinn is quicker to escape out of the ring where The Black Widow tends to himā¦Dean, on his side and propped up on his elbow, looks to Colt as he is calling for Madjinn to get back into the ring. }
Vasco Dias: A wise strategy from Madjinn. Thereās no denying that Dean Harper is hot right now, and there are few people that know him quite as well as his little brother! Madjinn and Dean, Terriā they have shared the ring not once! Not twice! Not three, nor four, nor five times! SIX! TIMES! Terri!
Terri Morasco: And of those six times, Dean has won three of them, and a no contest for their latestā¦
Vasco Dias: But, yāsee, this is where things get difficult. Madjinn has been on a hot streak, too! These two are fighting, arguably, at the best theyāve ever been!
{ The Black Widow backs away as Madjinn insists heās okay, and just as he turns, Dean connects with a baseball slide that sends Madjinn barreling into the barricade! Colt tries to waive Dean off, but Dean continues to the outside of the ring and starts to use some clubbing blows against Madjinn as he fights to get back to his feetā¦Dean smashes Madjinnās head against the barricade, and then with force, sends him toward the steel steps! CRASH! Madjinn topples over the steel steps, and clutches his wrist that took the impact. }
Terri Morasco: Colt Collins is trying to get them back into the ring.
{ Hot on his heels, Dean circles the corner of the ring just as the count is back up to fiveā¦Madjinn rolls back into the ring, and is quick to his feet, and Dean jumps to the ring apron to rejoin him inside of the ring, but Madjinn is quick to launch forward with an elbow that dazes Dean on the ring apron! Madjinn quickly raises Dean for a vertical suplex to bring him back into the ringā¦
Dean shifts his weight, though, and lands behind him! Dean shoves him forward, and on the rebound, GERMAN SUPLEX! Dean keeps the bridge held! }
ONE! TWO! KICKOUT!
Terri Morasco: Dean has still had an answer for Madjinn every step of the way!
Vasco Dias: Listen, thereās no denying that Dean Harper is talented, but Madjinn is still the type of person that you never want to count out! Allen Chaney thought he had his number last week, but what happened? MADJINN ADVANCES! Nick Knight the week before that! MADJINN ADVANCES! Thereās no saying how badly Madjinn wants thisā¦how badly Madjinn wants to finally call himself the HEIR TO THE THRONE! And so, with that said, heās not the type of person to count out! Dean has had an easy time being able to sit on the sidelines and rest up, while Madjinn has burned through the competition.
{ Dean is the first one to his feet after the pinfall attempt, but Madjinn is able to get to his knees, and Dean answers with a HEADSCISSORS DDT! }
Terri Morasco: It does seem like Madjinn is finally out of gas, though, and this could just be Deanās night.
{ Dean goes for another cover. }
ONE! TWO! KICKOUT!
{ Colt Collins holds the two fingers up to the crowd, and Dean seems a little anxious to get this match over withā¦ He waits for a couple of seconds while The Mad Prince recovers, and then charges the ropes, and just as he hits them, The Black Widow is able to grab one of his ankles and earns his attention! The action goes noticed by Madjinn, as he shakes off the damage and joins his brother at the ropes, pointing at The Black Widow. }
Madjinn: This is our fight! I need you to stay out of it tonight!
{ The Black Widow raises her hands and walks away from the ring apron, seemingly agreeing with Madjinnās own call. }
Terri Morasco: That isā¦rather surprising. The Mad Prince is waiving The Black Widow off from helping him out tonight.
Vasco Dias: Heās never needed help, and this just goes to show you how great of a competitor he really is!
{ Madjinn and Dean move back to the center of the ring, The Mad Prince being a little more banged up after receiving much more damage thus farā they go straight into a collar-and-elbow lock up, but Madjinn takes Dean down with a scissor leg sweep this time! Dean scrambles out of the position, knowing what Madjinn is looking for nextā a side headlockā and is able to narrowly avoid it as both brothers get back to their feet but Madjinn is faster to pull the trigger for ODE TO APHRODITE!
Dean blocks it with his hands, but is forced back a couple of stepsā The Mad Prince doesnāt relent, and presses for a GENOCIDE KICK! Dean ducks underneath it, and looks to catch Madjinn with a leg sweep while heās still in mid-kick!
The crowd pops as Madjinn shows his athleticism by jumping over it, and spinning in midair to face Dean ā as he regains his vertical base, he immediately rushes forward, and Dean goes for a clothesline! But Madjinn ducks under, and handsprings off of the ropes coming back with a huge ROUNDHOUSE KICK that hits the mark! }
Terri Morasco: Madjinn with an INCREDIBLE kick right there!
Vasco Dias: Cover him, Prince! Cover him and continue your story!
{ Dean falls forward onto his stomach, and Madjinn is there to roll him over as he hooks the leg. }
ONE! TWO! DEAN KICKS OUT!
{ Madjinn grimaces that he wasnāt able to put Dean away with it, and pulls Dean back up with himā¦Dean headbutts Madjinn! Madjinn headbutts Dean! Dean drops down to take Madjinn with a sitout jawbreaker, and Madjinn falls to a seated positionā Dean hurries to his feet and comes back with a running double knee strike! He goes for the cover! }
ONE! TWO! MADJINN GETS HIS SHOULDER UP!
{ Madjinn tries to shake off some of the damage done, and Dean is the first one to his feetā¦he takes a moment to shake off his own damage, but controls The Mad Prince back to his feet, and OATHBREAKER!
NO!
Madjinn slips out! }
Vasco Dias: What a good escape! And now Madjinn is back on the attack!
{ Dean, flat on his back, tries to scramble back to his feet, rolling onto his stomach, and then to his knees, and MADJINN WITH THE ROLLING SLEEPER GUILLOTINE! Madjinn has the top position, and Dean Harper looks like he could be in trouble but heās able to get an arm to alleviate some of the pressure keeping his brother from locking it in fullyā¦The Black Widow looks more and more psyched for Madjinn to take this by submission, but the Brat Prince is still able to keep The Mad Prince from getting it fully syncedā¦Madjinn continues to fight to get it, and Dean manages to roll them over, but in doing so, MADJINN HAS IT LOCKED! Dean Harper gasps as he tries to alleviate some of the pressure by planting his feet on the ground, and standing up as much as he can, but the more he stands, the more Madjinn wrenches with the hold! Clenching his fists, and knowing he has merely seconds before passing outā¦Dean reaches forward looking for the ropes! Heās inches away! }
Terri Morasco: Dean Harper could tap out! This is a man that for years has never tapped out, but he tapped out at Night of the Immortals for the first time in his career to Warren, and now Madjinn is looking to be the second!
{ Clenching his fist again, Dean pounds the mat a single time as heās becoming increasingly frustrated that he let himself get into this predicamentā¦but Madjinn is applying more and more pressure, as Deanās face is starting to turn several shades of blueā willing himself, though, Dean manages to slide Madjinn across the mat just enough that he can reach forward, and ROPE BREAK! }
Terri Morasco: Thereās no quit in Dean!
{ The Brat Prince pulls himself closer to the ropes as The Mad Prince releases the holdā Madjinn gets up and starts stomping on the ground in frustration that Dean wouldnāt tap outā¦ Dean uses the ropes to pull himself up, his back to his brother, and Madjinn wastes no timeā he grabs Dean by the head and snaps it back, dragging him closer to the center of the ringā¦ THE MAD TWIST! Madjinn goes straight into the cover, arrogantly covering Dean Harper as Dean looks completely out of it. }
ONE! TWO! THREā KICKOUT!
{ The crowd goes into a frenzy when Dean kicked out! At the same time, throwing his arm up and over to keep his shoulder off of the matā¦ The Artist Formerly Known as Wraith is now becoming frustrated, wondering what it would take to put Dean Harper down for the three count. }
Terri Morasco: This match is absolutely insane! Dean Harper, and Madjinnā two former world champions, the two YOUNGEST world champions in IWF history, the two brothers! They are laying it all on the line, looking to advance in this historic tournamentā¦each one vying for a chance to fight Warren for the world championship, and each one is proving just how tough they really are!
Vasco Dias: Oh, absolutely, Terri! I havenāt taken anything away from Dean Harperā he is a tremendous competitor, and was a tremendous champion, and the fact that he went straight from almost being choked out to kicking out of The Mad Twistā¦that shows you how much pain he can tolerate inside of the ring!
{ Sucking in air through his teeth, Madjinn is the first one up this timeā¦Dean is still laid out, needing more time to recoup this time around, but heās not being given the chance as Madjinn pulls him to his feet. Cradling the back of his neck, the two brothers touch foreheads, and Madjinn speaks to him. }
Madjinn: Iām gonna make you tap.
{ Madjinn nods to reassure Dean whatās going to happen, but Dean shakes his headā¦ The Mad Prince jumps up going for THE FALLEN PHOENIX!
DEAN IS ABLE TO SLIP OUT!
Madjinn looks like he hit the mat rather hard, and cringes as he gets up to his feet now with his back to Deanā¦ Dean is right there, stumbling forward, as he picks his brother up and into PRODUCT OF WAR! The Brat Prince rolls The Mad Prince over, and covers him! }
ONE! TWO! THREā MADJINN GETS HIS SHOULDER UP!
Vasco Dias: How much more can either of these two take?!
Terri Morasco: Thereās no saying, Vasco! With all thatās on the line, Dean wants this winā¦badly. Madjinn wants this winā¦badly! And it shows you how much theyāre willing to risk for it!
Vasco Dias: Listenā Dean has had his chance! And I know that he would love to have another go at Warren, but Madjinn has made a valid point! Dean doesnāt have what it takes to defeat Warren! Dean doesnāt have it in him to do whatās necessary to defeat Warren! Dean needs to throw in the towel right here, right now, and let Madjinn advance to the finals where he WILL WIN, and WILL challenge for the IWF Menās World Championship!
{ Thereās some commotion near the outside of the ring, as The Black Widow gestures to a fan sitting at ringsideā the camera pans in showing Stephen Terrella pulling off a ski mask and jumping the barricade! Colt Collins doesnāt notice whatās going on as heās tending to Madjinn, ensuring that heās capable of continuing. }
Terri Morasco: Whatās he doing here?! Madjinn made himself clearā this is between them! Whatās Brandy doing?! Whatās Stephen doing?!
{ It also goes unnoticed by Dean Harper as he backs against the ropes, using them to hold himself upā¦unbeknownst, heās closest to Stephen Terrella, and as Colt Collins is still checking on Madjinn, Terrella hops on the ring apron and cracks Dean over the head with a wrench! Dean stumbles forward, falling to his knees, and Terrella immediately hops the barricade, pulling a hood over his head to do his best not to be noticed ā the cameras follow him a bit through the audience, and The Black Widow starts hitting the canvas to rally Madjinn back to his feet. }
Vasco Dias: What did you see?!
Terri Morasco: This one is being stolen!
{ Madjinn finally gets up to his feet, seeing Dean on his kneesā presuming believing that the exhaustion is setting in, Madjinn stumbles forward and pulls Dean back to his feet, saying something under his breath to him before finally hitting him with THE MAD GAZE! Madjinn goes straight into the cover! }
ONE! TWO! THREE!
DING! DING! DING!
Alison Valance: Your winner! By way of pinfall! THE MAD PRINCE! MAAAAADDDDDJJJJJIIIIINNNNNNNNNN!
Terri Morasco: I canāt believe Savage Kingdom just stole this one away from Dean Harper!
Vasco Dias: I missed everything that happened! I saw Dean Harper, an exhausted Dean Harper, fall to his kneesā that was it!
{ Madjinn sits up, breathing heavily, as he holds his arms up in the air in succession. The Black Widow gets into the ring to celebrate with Madjinn for the moment, but Madjinn and Colt Collins also lean over Dean Harper to check on him. }
Vasco Dias: What a good brother! But all that matters now is that Madjinn is advancing for the third year in a row to the Heir to the Throne finals!
