------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Rob Diamond vs. Dean Harper ------------------------------- Alison Valance: The following match is scheduled for one fall!
Terri Moracos: Are you prepared for a match full of gay chicken?
Vasco Dias: Iâm always ready.
{ Suddenly the lights drop out as the opening riff of Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood hits. The entire arena lets out a collective cheer. The graphics on the screen show some of the many highlights of the career of Rob Diamond. The lights in the arena start to strobe pink as the second, third, fourth and fifth riffs all hit with pink pyro launching out of the stage and just as the lyrics kick in, Rob Diamond steps out to enormous cheers! Rob Diamond walks down the ramp slapping hands with the crowd. Rob smirks and points toward the ring as he marches forward. Rob runs up the steps and steps into the ring. Rob hands Alison Valance a note card. }
Alison Valance: At this time it is my honor and my privilege to introduce⌠THE MASTER OF DISASTER! THE FACE OF THE FRANCHISE! THE SULTAN OF SWAT! THE INFAMOUS ONE HIMSELF! HE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! ROB DIAMOND!!!!
{ After the introduction, Rob throws up both arms with his index fingers in the air as pink pyro erupts along the ring apron behind him before hitting the biggest crotch chop of all time. }
Alison Valance: Out first, standing at 5â10ââ and weighing in at 204âŚ"The InFamous" and "The Greatest of all Time"... ROB DIAMOND!
Terri Moracos: Rob has been on a roll recently.
Vasco Dias: He has. I don't like the new Rob though.
{Intro of "Popular Monster" by Falling in Reverse begins to play. The arena is plunged into darkness, with only a few spotlights scanning the crowd. As the first verse starts, a low, pulsating beat resonates throughout the arena, building anticipation}
âCause Iâm about to break down
Searching for a way out
Iâm a liar Iâm a cheater Iâm a non-believer
Iâm a popular, popular monster
I break down falling into love now
With falling apart
Iâm a popular popular monster "
{As the chorus hits, a sudden explosion of pyrotechnics erupts at the entrance ramp. The spotlights converge to illuminate Dean Harper. He walks down to the ring with his head held high and a wicked smile on his face. He jumps up onto the apron before springing on the bottom rope into the ring. Once in the center of the ring, Dean methodically removing his jacket and tossing it aside, revealing his tattooed muscular physique. The music fades, leaving only the sound of the crowdâs roar and Dean Harper standing in the center of the ring, ready for the battle ahead.}
Alison Valance: Next down to the ring, standing at 6â2ââ, weighing in at 185 pounds, The Brat Prince Dean Harper.
Terri Moracos: Dean was certainly in a mood.
Vasco Dias: Well, if rumors are true...
{Dean leans against the ropes casually while Rob looks ready to go. The Ref looks between the two men, he raises his arm to signal for the bell, but DEan blows a kiss and Rob catches it and puts it in his pocket. The Ref rolls his eyes and signals for the bell. The bell rings. Both men stand where they are.}
Terri Moracos: Oh I donât like that.
Vasco Dias: Get ready for a gay disaster.
{Dean winks at Rob who winks back. Rob goes for a kick but Dean drops to the mat going into a Roll-through Russian legsweep followed by a flipping leg drop. Rob doesnât turn in time to miss the Rear drop Kick that Dean connects with him.}
Terri Moracos: At least we are getting some action.
Vasco Dias: Not as much as both of them would prefer. Thank god for Mama Kane.
{Dean waits until Rob is getting back to his feet before hitting the other man with an Oathbreaker! Knocking Rob to the mat.}
Vasco Dias: Here we go!
{Dean straddles Rob for the pin 1 2 Rob manages to buck his hips and flip Dean onto his back, pinning his arms above his head 1 2 Dean breaks the hold by rolling Rob off of him.}
Terri Moracos: These two are encouragable.
Vasco Dias: Someone in the back is clearly encouraging it.
{Rob hits Dean with a Running Big boot! followed by a Break yo back . Dean pulls himself back up to his feet but Rob hits him with a Diamond Splash!}
Terri Moracos: Rob taking it right back to Dean.
{Rob goes for the pin⌠1 KICK OUT by Dean Rob steps back with a smile. Dean punches Rob in the face, gets back up but Rob counters with a Back fist of democracy Dean back to the mat.}
Terri Moracos: Ouch.
Vasco Dias: : Donât be a poor sport, Morasco.
{Rob picks Dean up but hits Rob hard in the stomach. Dean then connects with a Spinning Side Kick followed by a Step up Enzurgiri.}
Terri Moracos: Dean is warming back up here, hoping Rob can get out of this.
Vasco Dias: I hope he doesnât.
{Dean hits Rob with an Up is Down and has a perfect setup for a Dean goes for the DANCE THE SPIRAL but Rob recovered enough to spin out of the way and hit him with a D Factor, knocking Dean to the mat with a thud.}
Terri Moracos: Oh ...oh ow, that looked painful.
{Rob slaps Dean on the ass as Dean spits out some blood and shakes the hit off getting back to his feet. Dean gets up laugh, offering Rob another touch of his ass, which Rob takes. The ref can be heard âPlease fight, for the love of godâ. Rob and Dean make a theatrical act of looking offended before Dean hits Rob with a Product of War.}
Vasco Dias: Looks like we are not alone in wanting this match to be less flirting and more action.
Terri Moracos: Iâm guessing the divorce is finalized or Warren will be upset.
{Lights out. The crowd screams. The opening chords of âTrip the Darknessâ by the Lacuna Coil roar from the speakers and red smoke billows from either side of the entranceway. The camera pans to Dean who looks confused and a littleâŚmaybe afraid? Rob is getting up slowly.}
Vasco Dias: Thatâs Rowanâs music?
Terri Moracos: Oh fuckâŚ
{ Pandora Freeman-Hall is standing at the entrance ramp, holding a damaged kendo stick.}
Terri Moracos: Mindgames. MuchâŚmuch better.
{Dean rolls his eyes looking to Rob as if to say âsorryâ but Robâs eyes widen, Dean turns and is hit in the head with a steel chair by Brooklyn Madrox. Dean drops, Brooklyn goes for another swing but Rob catches the chair. Brooklyn yells at Rob but Robh pushes her back gently, clearly trying to talk her down. She screams trying to go for Dean again but Rob stops her, putting his hands up, clearly not taking Deanâs side but not letting her beat him while he is down. The ref calls for the bell.}
Vasco Dias: Match being thrown out again. Goddamn it.
{Security is clearly called. Pandora exits and Brooklyn throws down the chair beyond pissed but lets Security drag her out of the ring while Rob keeps Dean mostly intact.}
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participant: Rini Ishikawa Rini Ishikawa shares her thoughts after her qualification to be potentially crowned as the inaugural Gladiatorix champion at IWF Legacy after her victory over Candy Kane. -------------------------------
{The camera crew finds Rini Ishikawa backstage, nibbling on a plate of what seems to be gingerbread cookies in the shape of skeletons. She looks up with a bright smile and cheery wave when she notices the crew.}
Rini Ishikawa: Hello friends! Obviously, itâs exciting to be in the running to be the first Gladiatrix Champion. As one who has performed best in a tag team, and with the developments in that division, it should be no surprise that I would prefer to be pursuing that instead⌠However, those who would be my partners are very much busy, and what kind of friend would I be if I pulled them away from that?
I do not consider this a consolation opportunity, or something to occupy my time while Maasu and Uranusu are chasing their glory. This is a test of my skills, to see if I am able to stand alone as a competitor. If I am? Then so much the better. But if I am not, then I will know that much more about myself.
I have no true professional opinion on the other women in contention for this title. The fact is that I have seen very little of them. There have been a few recordings I watched with Maasu, and a few appearances, and I have personal feelings about some of them, but I trust that whoever qualifies is a worthy opponent and I look forward to meeting them in the ring to see who of us is worthy to be the first Gladiatrix Champion.
Machado-san, I look forward to facing you. Itami-san, Mitsu-san, De Luca-san, and Sachiko-san; ganbare!
------------------------------- SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH 4500 Word Limit (3x 1500 individual, 1500 individual and 3000 combined or 4500 combined) w/ Special Guest Commentator Black Widow and Madjinn TDH vs. Ducky Tomlinson, Billie Parris and Phillip Deforrest -------------------------------
{The show returns from a commercial break with Ducky Tomlinson, Billie Parris and Phillip Deforrest already standing inside of the squared circle as Ducky's theme, "Fight for your right" by the Bestie Boys, fades out. Alison Valance is standing in the middle of the ring for the introductions.}
Alison Valance: The following six-person contest is scheduled for one fall and has a twenty-minute time limit! Introducing first, already in the ring, to my right, weighing in at a total combined weight of six hundred sixty-three pounds, the team of Ducky Tomlinson, Billie Parris and Phillip Deforrest!
{The three men wave to the crowd, receiving a light round of applause in response.}
Terri Morasco: This is a match I have been really looking forward to all week, Vasco. Team Diversity Hire has been firing on all cylinders lately, with Nate holding the Gladiator Championship, and Pax Stormcrow in pursuit of the richest prize in our industry; and I'm excited to see Ducky, Billie and Phillip measure up. They're all three talented competitors in their own right.
Vasco Dias: I was excited that we were promised an appearance by Madjinn and the Black Widow on commentary with us tonight. I'm just trying to figure out where in the hell they are?
Terri Morasco: The fact that we don't know makes me nervous.
{The opening hook of "Blood//Water - Grandson" blares from the PA as Jack Ferriman, Nate Harris and Pax Stormcrow walk out onto the ramp with Justine Harris in fairy wings and a crown on as she skips down the ramp in front of them. On the 'Tron there is the TEAM DIVERSITY HIRE logo as well as showing links to Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and their personal merch store.}
Alison Valance: And their opponents, currently making their way down the aisle, accompanied by Justine Harris, weighing in at a total combined of six hundred sixty-eight pounds... the team of Pax Stormcrow, Nate Harris and Jack Ferriman... they are Team Diversity Hire!
{Justine waves happily to the crowd as each of the members stops to shake hands and fist bump the crowd before getting into the ring with Nate lifting the young Justine into the ring. Each of them pose for a moment.}
Terri Morasco: The roof is about to come off of this building, Vasco! It is deafening in here right now! The people love Team Diversity Hire, and how could you not?
Vasco Dias: Allow me to educate you, Morasco. First, there is their shameless pandering to all of these idiots in the crowd! Second, I live in fear every time I'm standing at the urinal that I'm going to have to tap dance my way out of having a piece of ugly merch shoved in my hands and twenty dollars removed from my wallet. Third, you like them, which instantly kills anything for me. Do I go on?
Terri Morasco: Everyone would prefer that you didn't. Team Div-
{The lights are dimmed as the "Pumped Up Kicks" by 3Teeth begins to play. Shrouded in the darkness from the low-level lighting, The Black Widow crawls out from behind the curtain, stopping on the cusp of the ramp. Looking around the arena, Brandy stays on her knees, pointing back to the curtain as Madjinn confidently strolls out from the back while hitting a vape.}
Terri Morasco: We just got our answer as to where our World Tag Team Champions are, as they are clearly trying to upstage Team Diversity Hire!
{The Black Widow extends her arms and arches her back in a way that her upper body falls backwards as Madjinn takes a position behind her. Forty seconds into the song, just before the lyrics start, Brandy thrusts her torso upward with a jolt. The Mad Prince offers the Black Widow a hit off his vape, and then the pair begin to make their way toward the announce table.}
Vasco Dias: This is how you make a statement, Morasco! Madjinn, Black Widow, it's so good to have you on commentary this week. Please, ignore Terri and all the horrible lies she always spreads about you.
Terri Morasco: What the f--!!!
{The Black Widow throws one of the tag team championships on the table directly in front of Terri, interrupting her. She hops up on the table, yanking Terri's headset off of her head so she can put it on her own. Madjinn takes a seat next to Vasco.}
Black Widow: I'm only here so I don't get fined. Why in the fuck does this headset smell like rose water?
Vasco Dias: I apologize, it's Terri's old lady perfume. I deal with it every week.
Madjinn: I like the smell. {Winks at Terri.}
{Team Diversity Hire stands in their corner, showing no back down as they keep eyes on the World Tag Team Champions. Nate and Jack both trade words with the champions, sharing their thoughts about the future of the World Tag Team Championships with Madjinn and the Black Widow as Jack makes the belt motion at his waist.}
Black Widow: I find it funny how the fly is always confident before it becomes ensnared in the spider's web.
Madjinn: Could've sworn I beat out Invictus Champion with a knee. How is he here?
{The referee for this contest, Jessica Andrews, informs both teams the match needs to start. Billie Parris takes the ring for his team, while Pax appears set to take the ring for Team Diversity Hire. At the announce table, Terri is still frustrated after having her headset stolen. Jessica Andrews rings the opening bell.}
Ding!
{Pax and Billie circle each other to start the match. They lock up, with Billie surprisingly transitioning into a go-behind on Pax, looking for a belly-to-back suplex. Pax quickly transitions on Billie and takes him down to the canvas, where Pax shows off his impressive amateur wrestling ability to tie Billie up into knots for a moment. Every move Billie tries to make, Pax has a counter. Finally, Pax works his way from a front headlock into a gator roll on Billie, disorienting Parris. Stormcrow stands Billie up for a European uppercut before tossing him around with a belly-to-belly suplex! Pax attempts a cover. Jessica Andrews quickly slides into position for a count. Billie kicks out at two, however.}
Vasco Dias: This is where Terri would tell us how Pax almost won it there, if she had a headset. We all know that's not true, though. Billie Parris is a fighter.
Black Widow: I feel like I'm watching two worms mating. Billie might get somewhere if he stops trying to out wrestle the almost-Olympian and just put two thumbs into his eyes instead.
Madjinn: He would get somewhere if he was remotely talented. Pax is a never-was, and seems to be relying on lightning.
{Having already twisted Billie's arm, Stormcrow leads Parris to the Team Diversity Hire corner. Pax makes a tag out to Nate, who comes in and takes over with some corner shoulder thrusts into Billie's midsection while Pax steps out. Harris brings Parris out of the corner the hard way with a big biel toss! Nate rushes in with a swift kick to Billie's gut, driving the air right out of Parris. Gasping, Billie falls prey to a gutwrench suplex from Nate that puts him down on the canvas. Billie is in serious peril when Nate makes a cover. Jessica Andrews slides into position for a count as Nate keeps his eye on Madjinn. The referee's hand hits the mat twice before Ducky Tomlinson interrupts the count with a boot to the back of Nate's head. Jessica warns Ducky about being in the ring illegally.}
Madjinn: What?! { Stands up, and pulls his headphone off while looking at Nate. } Keep your eyes on your opponents! Iâll break your goddamn face right now! { Sits back down in a huff. }
Vasco Dias: Easy champ. I know you'd slaughter him.
{Nate shakes the cobwebs out as he continues to work to keep Billie isolated from his partners. Jack and Nate switch places, and Jack rocks Billie with a strong headbutt. Ferriman brings Billie out of the corner with a snapmare, setting up to lock in a sleeper hold on Billie! Parris' arms flail as Jack has the hold locked in tightly. Billie feels at Jack's arms, frantically trying to look for an escape. Slowly, the fight can be seen leaving Billie. His arms eventually drop. On point, Jessica Andrews lifts Billie's left arm and watches it drop. She repeats the process, watching it drop for a second time. With Billie appearing to be out, she lifts his arm a third time, but Parris keeps it up to display a little fight. Doing the only thing he knows for an escape, Billie musters every bit of energy he has left to back Jack into a corner and smush him against the turnbuckles. It proves just enough. Billie crawls on his hands and knees before diving for a tag to Ducky Tomlinson!}
{Ducky comes in on fire! He throws rights and lefts at Jack with a fury, forcing Jack into a tactical retreat. Tomlinson is able to get Jack up into a Reverse Death Valley Driver and plant him on the canvas. Ducky stands up, brushes his shoulder off, then drops a fist onto Jack's face. Tomlinson gets up and makes a tag to Phillip. Directing traffic, Ducky instructs Phillip to go up top. Ducky heads for a different corner and ascends the turnbuckles as well. Tomlinson leaps off with a frog splash onto Ferriman! He rolls off, allowing Deforrest to leap off with a diving elbow drop straight into Jack's heart! Phillip hooks a leg, looking for a massive upset. The referee slides into position for a count as Cliff Cook can be seen passing by to run a headset out to Terri Morasco outside the ring. Phillip earns a count of two on Jack before Ferriman kicks out!}
Terri Morasco: Phillip came oh-so-close to helping to earn his team what would have been a monumental victory for all of their careers, but Jack Ferriman showing some much resiliency with the kick out! And yes, I am back on headset now after having my headset stolen from me!
Vasco Dias: We didn't miss you, Morasco.
Black Widow: Phillip should try to break those ribs, if they aren't already broken. Jack isn't spitting any blood though, which is a disappointment.
{Phillip strikes Jack with a bell clap to the ears. Looking for the big shot, Phillip turns away from Jack to run the ropes. Jack charges after him, catching Phillip off-guard with a running clothesline across the throat as he turns around. Ferriman makes a tag to Nate, bringing Harris back into the match. Nate enters, ducking a wild right from Phillip before hitting him with a swinging neckbreaker. Nate continues to work at a quick tempo as he cinches Phillip up and takes him over with a snap suplex. Seconds later, Phillip falls victim to a "Bourbon Street Breaker" from Nate! The Gladiator Champion makes a cover, however, both Ducky and Billie dive in at the last second to stop the count! Pax comes to Nate's aid, delivering a Saito suplex to Ducky that jettisons him from the ring! Jack re-enters, too, and puts a boot into Billie's midsection before delivering a Turnbuckle Power-bomb! Pax holds the ring as Nate motions Jack back to the corner. Nate tags Ferriman, bringing him in legally. Jack and Nate hit the "Canonization" on Phillip! Jack makes a cover as Pax and Nate both guard the ring from Ducky and/or Billie re-entering. The referee slides into position for the count, and Team Diversity hire scores the win with the pinfall! The official calls for the bell.}
Ding! Ding! Ding!
{"Blood//Water - Grandson" blares from the PA again as Team Diversity Hire has their arms raised in the middle of the squared circle.}
Terri Morasco: That was an amazing display of teamwork, earning Team Diversity Hire a fair and honest win tonight! Maybe that's something some people at this table should take note of.
Madjinn: The only note Iâll make is theyâre good at beating up JOBBERS! Name one person noteworthy that Nate has ever beat.
Black Widow: I know Stephen and Portia aren't allowed to be here, but maybe you and I should go... congratulate them, Madjinn?
Madjinn: Iâll congratulate them. { Tosses his headset. }
Terri Morasco: Hold on, you were invited out here to commentate, not to--
{The Black Widow hops down off the table and removes her headset as Madjinn gets up from his seat.}
Vasco Dias: This could get interesting, Morasco!
{Team Diversity Hire stands their ground in the middle of the ring as Madjinn and the Black Widow take the apron. A staredown ensues as the Black Widow holds the top rope, smiling as she licks her lips. The crowd is in a frenzy when Madjinn puts a leg inside the ropes; but the Black Widow puts a hand on him to stop him and shakes her head "no". Team Diversity Hire still wants the fight. The crowd wants the fight. Madjinn seems to want the fight. However, Madjinn backs down at the Black Widow's urging when she whispers something in his ear. Savage Kingdom drop from the apron to boos.}
Terri Morasco: The numbers weren't in their favor for once, so it appears Savage Kingdom is going to take a walk, Vasco.
Vasco Dias: It's the smart thing to do, Morasco. Who cares what these people want! If I was Team Diversity Hire, I'd watch my backs, though. A war with the Savage Kingdom is hazardous to your health.
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: Nick Danger and TJ Alexander Nick Danger and TJ Alexander sit down with Willy Carter to discuss their recent victory as a team to earn a spot in the number one contendership match for the Gladiator Championship at Legacy. -------------------------------
{The cameras open with Willy Carter in the backstage interview room. Willy looks at the camera takes a breath and speaks with a chair on the right and left of him.}
Willy Carter: Hello ladies and gentlemen. We are only a few days away from Legacy X in the Tokyo Dome. That is why I wanted the thoughts of the tag team that won a qualifying match to be part of a triple-threat number-one contender match for the IWF Gladiators Championship. So, please welcome my guest at this time âThe Game Changerâ TJ Alexander, and âThe Rising Aceâ Nick Danger.
{TJ Alexander and Nick Danger both walk into the interview. TJ takes the seat on the right of Willy Carter while Nick takes the seat on the left.}
Willy Carter: Welcome gentleman. I wanted to start by asking how it felt teaming up together for the very first time.
{Willy Carter holds the mic up to the pair as TJ Alexander starts to speak}
TJ Alexander: It felt good teaming with Nick, I've had partners in other companies and they've let me down, they've disappeared without a trace, but it was a good feeling teaming with Nick.
{Willy Carter holds the mic back to himself}
Willy Carter: And you Nick, how do you feel?
[Willy holds the mic to Nick}
Nick Danger: I'll have to admit it as well, it felt good, teaming with TJ as well, but it all lead to this moment now for Legacy.
Willy Carter: How do you feel about that TJ? Nick Danger has his eyes solely on being the number one contender for the IWF Gladiator championship, do you feel used?
{Willy holds the mic to TJ}
TJ Alexander: You would think it would, but no I fully understand, there is an unspeaking' nod of acknowledgement between us, we are very similar in many ways, and the only reason why Nick Danger has the success he has in IWF, why because I wasn't around.
{Willy holds the mic up to his mouth}
Nick Danger: So your saying TJ is that what I'd be a glorified Jobber, if you and I started at the same time?
{Willy Carter holds the mic to TJ}
TJ Alexander: There you go bruv, now you got it, and you can take it as you like, in reality, I'm a much bigger star, you were just here first.
{Willy Carter holds the mic to Nick}
Nick Danger: Your lucky were not in a tag team anymore because I'd probably betray you too, I can see why you're previous partners did that to you, because your an absolute prick.
{Willy Carter holds the mic to TJ}
TJ Alexander: Sticks and stones Nick, but when I win at Legacy you can cry into a pillow
------------------------------- SEGMENT Ope -------------------------------
{The scene is set in a dimly lit parking lot, where a camera moves slowly, capturing the eerie stillness of the surroundings. As it pans across the area, the focus shifts to a car that long time fans know to be "Maxine Valentine's" but now the car Dean Harper drives. The car is parked under a flickering streetlight, its metallic surface reflecting the faint light.
Suddenly, the camera zooms in, revealing a figure draped over the car's hood. It's Jess Fowler, beaten and bruised, their clothes torn and dirtied from the struggle. Their body lies limp, arms dangling over the side of the car, and their face is partially obscured by their disheveled hair. Bruises and cuts are visible and blood trickles down from a wound on their forehead, staining the car's sleek surface.
The camera lingers on Jess's form, capturing the gravity of the scene. The silence is almost deafening, broken only by the occasional drip of blood onto the car. The scene is tense, evoking a sense of dread as the camera pulls back to show the full extent of the damage. Jess's vulnerability contrasts sharply with the cold, metallic car, emphasizing the brutality of what has occurred.}
------------------------------- GLADIATORIX QUALIFIER SINGLES MATCH Rosa De Luca vs. Kai Sachiko -------------------------------
As the match began, Rosa De Luca took control early, using her superior strength to push Kai Sachiko into the corner. She delivered a series of powerful strikes, focusing on Kai's midsection to wear her down. Rosa then transitioned into a snap suplex, showcasing her technical skills and grounding Kai to prevent her from using her agility.
Kai Sachiko, known for her resilience, fought back with a sudden burst of speed. She slipped out of Rosa's grasp and unleashed a flurry of quick kicks, targeting Rosa's legs to slow her down. Kai then executed a springboard arm drag, flipping Rosa across the ring and following up with a lightning-quick dropkick that sent Rosa crashing to the mat. The crowd erupted as Kai displayed her aerial prowess, connecting with a standing moonsault for a near fall.
Rosa, showing her veteran instincts, managed to turn the tide by catching Kai mid-air during a high-risk maneuver. She slammed Kai down with a spinebuster, immediately locking in a crossface submission. The tension in the arena was palpable as Kai struggled to reach the ropes, her face contorted in pain. With the crowd rallying behind her, Kai clawed her way to the ropes, forcing Rosa to break the hold.
The match reached its climax when Rosa attempted to finish Kai off with her signature powerbomb. However, Kai reversed the move into a hurricanrana, sending Rosa headfirst into the turnbuckle. Sensing her opportunity, Kai ascended the top rope and launched herself with a breathtaking 450 splash, crashing down onto Rosa for a dramatic pin attempt. But Rosa kicked out at the last second, leaving the audience in disbelief.
With both competitors exhausted, the final moments saw Rosa going for one last desperate move, Two Handed Chokelift, can be used as slam, getting the pin.
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participant: Caroline Machado Caroline Machado shares her thoughts after her qualification to be potentially crowned as the inaugural Gladiatorix champion at IWF Legacy after her victory over Nancy Pailson-Carlson. -------------------------------
James Gilmore: 'Sup, dudes and dudettes!?!
{ We find James Gilmore standing backstage, sporting a metallic blue Dallas Cowboys jersey and, of course, his Texas Rangers 2023 World Series Championship hat. He's looking a little thinner than he used to look prior to his retirement, but volunteering to be a roving backstage reporter has lifted his spirits somewhat. }
James Gilmore: I'm puttin' on my interviewer's hat tonight, and boy have we got a treat for you! Caroline...COME ON DOWN!!
{ Caroline Machado steps into the picture. Tonight, she's wearing a cutesy-looking tie-dye T-shirt and blue jeans along with a green Legend of Zelda cap. }
James Gilmore: Caroline, lemme tell ya that ya look like a million bucks!
Caroline Machado: Hehehe...HI!!!
{ As the Brazilian waved to the camera, JJ couldn't help but chuckle every time she did her signature greeting. }
James Gilmore: Alrighty then, let's get right down to the business at hand. Last week, Crazy Bear, you defeated Nancy Paulson-Carlson to earn a shot at becomin' the inaugural Gladiatorix Champion. The whole world's wantin' to know from several others who in this same position as you are right now. What is goin' through your mind at this moment as Legacy 2024 draws near...?
{ Caroline nodded warmly. }
Caroline Machado: As someone reminded me long ago, there's always a first for everything! Your first words, your first day of going to school, your first love. Then, there's that bit of ambition that wants you to be the first at something, to be the first in your generation to become a Champion.
{ Pause. She took a sip from a bottle of Hint flavored water. }
Caroline Machado: To be the first Gladiatorix Champion would be an honor. Yet it's also a reminder that, much like the Women's World title, you have to be ready and willing to face the storms and earn it -- because the others are thinking that same mindset!
{ JJ grinned from ear to ear before pointing out the stock baseball card-esque picture of IWF Women's World Champion Jennie Fenix she had been carrying for months. }
James Gilmore: Caroline, I gotta ask before we go, what is up with you carryin' around that picture of Jennie Fenix?!
Caroline Machado: Ă como uma pata de coelho da sorte! Hehehe...!!!
{ Soon, Caroline's signature giggle and blushes turned into a moment of humility. }
Caroline Machado: It's a reminder to never let the moment of becoming a Champion get to your head -- because there's gonna be SOMEBODY who wants to come after you and beat you!!
{ Caroline made her exit, but not before giving James a friendly pat on the shoulders. }
James Gilmore: Welp...what else can I say about that, huh?! Let's get back to ringside!
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH 20 Minute Time Limit w/ Special Guest Referee Rini Ishikawa and Special Guest Commentator Serenity Holmes Charlotte Shimizu vs. Natasha Walker -------------------------------
{ "Riot" starts to roll the Distinctive drums into the arena as the lights dim, before stepping out the back in her outfit comes Natasha on time with the Scream in the track the thin "webbing" on her outfit lit up by UV as she bops to the beat and moves down the Ramp, taking a moment to hop to sit on the top rope Facing the crowd in a corner before draping backwards slowly to hang herself back and the use her extraordinary flexibility to pitch back onto her feet with a smile. }
Terri Morasco: Well, we are here at Tuesday Night Sacrifice for Natasha Walker and Charlotte Shimizu. Joining us live at commentary is our IWF Invictus Champion, Serenity Holmes!
Vasco Diaz: Welcome to where the magic happens, youâll be facing Natasha Walker at Legacy, are you worried about your opponent?
Serenity Holmes: Absolutely not. Why would you even ask me that question?
Vasco Diaz: Well itâs just that Natasha and you on social media have been going back and forth-
Serenity Holmes: Natasha is nothing to me and I am what she wants to be. I an no way shape or form worried about someone like her!
{ Before the music starts, the tron lights to show a red sun slowly rising over a broad expanse of ocean. The image flies apart into a flurry of red feathers and pink flower petals as the music hits. When the introductory chorus drops, Charlotte strides out, right fist pumping into the air in rhythm with the words âOh yeahâ. She circles the outside of the ring after the intro chorus and the first verse, pausing briefly at each side to work the crowd before climbing nimbly up to the apron before the last line of the verse. On the apron, she takes a running start from one corner towards the ringpost opposite. At the last second, she jumps up to the second turnbuckle and flips over the top rope, landing feet together and hands raised just as the chorus hits again. She again circles, pumping her fist high in time with the pounding guitar and screaming vocals of MYTH & ROID. As the chorus comes to its end, Charlotte stands in the center of the squared circle and bows from her waist to the audience, her hands clasped at her chest. To her fading music, she strides purposefully to her corner and starts shaking out her hands and rolling her neck in preparation for the coming match. }
Vasco Diaz: We have Charlotte Shimizu who is a dangerous opponent for Natasha Walker. Serenity, you have history with her as well.
Serenity Holmes: âŚUnfortunarely.
Terri Morasco: You think Charlotte-
Serenity Holmes: How many championship matches has Charlotte won?
Vasco Diaz: âŚUghâŚ.
Serenity Holmes: She is the definition of always the bridesmaid but never the bride. I donât care about our history, I care about the future and the future looks bright with me.
{ Charlotte bursts from her side of the ring in a flash, taking the fight straight to the number one contender for the Invictus Championship â Natasha looks to counter her with a clothesline, but Charlie ducks underneath and springs off of the top rope with a moonsault! She catches Natasha into an inverted headlock, looking to drop her with a reverse DDT, but Natasha is able to spin out of it and pulls Charlie in for a short-arm clothesline! Charlie ducks under her, swinging behind her, and takes her into a schoolyard cover, but Natasha rolls through and scrambles to her feet. Charlie presses the attack by firing with a dropkick and hits the mark! Natasha rolls to the edge of the ring, using the ropes to get herself up but continues forward to clash again with Charlie â Charlie leaps for a hurricanrana! Natasha counters by sending her over for a back body drop!
The Iron Hawk is able to shift her weight to change her momentum, landing on the top ropeâŚthe athleticism earns a pop from the crowd, as she staggers momentarily atop the top rope, and Natasha turns around relatively surprised by, and Charlie immediately launches herself backward, catching Natasha and sailing her over with a springboard arm drag! }
Terri Morasco: Charlotte immediately taking control of this match and Charlotte doesnât have a response yet.
Serenity Holmes: And this is my number one contender?? This should be a breeze.
Vasco Diaz: But you havenât beaten her yet.
Serenity Holmes: I will slaughter you into pieces.
{ The fight continues at a fast pace with Charlie and Natasha fighting to gain an edge over the other⌠The back and forth action is keeping the crowd on their toes, as each one scores a near fall with a series of roll ups, but neither one is able to secure that third and final count they need to take the win. It seems the Birds of Prey allies are evenly matched in this contest. But the SAPPORO TWISTER from Charlie swings the momentum fully in her favor as she goes for the cover! }
ONE! TWO! NATASHA KICKS OUT!
Vasco Diaz: Charlotte Shimizu almost took out Natasha Walker with the Sapporo Twister!
Terri Morasco: That was almost a close call. The match is heating up and both women are giving everything they have.
Serenity Holmes: Oh yes, hooray to both women who are wrestling like amateurs. Shouldnât we be paying attention to the woman who is an actual champion?
{ Shimizu controls her ally back to her feet, and takes her over with another hurricanrana, this time holding on for the cover again! }
ONE! TWO! NATASHA KICKS OUT!
{ The Heiress to the Throne brings the Techno Tsuchigumo to her knees, and then rebounds off of the ropes â she returns, looking for a running knee! NATASHA ROLLS BACKWARDS! She takes Charlotteâs leg in the process, and rolls her into a SINGLE LEG CRAB! Charlotte is fighting her way to the ropes, trying to keep Natasha from locking the hold inâŚbut Natasha is getting closer and closer to having The Iron Heiress locked in the center of the ring! }
Serenity Holmes: HuhâŚ
Terri Morasco: NATASHA HAS THE CHAMPION IN THE SINGLE LEG CRAB!
Serenity Holmes: You donât need to ye-
Vasco Diaz: COULD THIS BE IT?! WILL NATASHA SCORE A VICTORY BY SUBMITTING HER BIRDS OF PREY ALLY?
Serenity Holmes: WILL YOU BOTH SHUT THE F@$K UP???
{ Charlie claws her way for the ropes, and Natasha DRAGS HER BACK! Natasha has the hold LOCKED IN! The Iron Heiress groans while trying to drag herself back to the ropes, but Natasha Walker pulls more on the leg, doing more and more damage to it⌠Charlie hits the mat a single time with a clenched fist, and wills herself toward the ropes, and all the while, Natasha still pulls harder on the hold. Sheâs calling for Shimizu to tap out so that she can break the hold, but pride wonât allow Charlie to do that â Charlie continues to drag herself and Natasha toward the ropesâŚand sheâs nearing itâŚnearing the ropesâŚ
Natasha senses theyâre close to the ropes, and stands up to PULL HER AWAY! BUT TOO LATE! Charlie grasps the ropes with one hand, and wonât let go! Jessica Andrews calls for the break, and Natasha doesnât waste time in releasingâŚa visible look of concern on her face, as sheâs wondering if Charlotte Shimizu may have been seriously hurt, but also questioning the relentless behavior by refusing to tap out. }
Serenity Holmes: You never hesitate in a match and Natasha is showing why she wonât beat me. I have killer instinct, she doesnât.
Vasco Diaz: Serenity, thatâs her friendâŚ
Serenity Holmes: HA! Shea OâHara was their friend and where is she now???
{ Knowing that this is just part of the job, Natasha continues forward just as Charlotte uses the ropes to get to her feetâŚshe greets her with a swift knee, and the crowd is going wild as Natasha is looking for TSUCHIGUMO! She grabs her good leg, and Charlie struggles as she is forced to hobble back toward the center of the ring and away from the sanctuary of the ropesâŚ
CHARLIE REVERSES!
Charlie pulls Natasha into an INSIDE CRADLE! }
ONE! TWO! THRâ NATASHA KICKS OUT!
{ Charlie almost squeaks in victory in the final minutes of the match, and she does hurry to her feetâŚas does Natasha. Charlieâs leg has visibly taken some damage as she limps forward, before beckoning Natasha forward â Natasha takes the bait, and rushes toward The Iron Heiress, only to be taken down with a scissor leg sweep! Charlie immediately starts looking for the BROKEN TREATY! Natasha is scrambling for the ropes, trying to keep Shimizu from being able to lock it inâŚshe manages to break free from her grasp, Charlotteâs leg stalling her from being able to keep up.
Natasha uses the ropes to pull herself up, and both of the women look at the clock. We are under forty-five seconds! }
Vasco Diaz: The time is running down and both women need to pull the trigger NOW!
Serenity Holmes: I would have done it 15 minutes ago but okayyyyy
Terri Morasco: Serenity, you have to respect them for giving it their all. What if Natasha is the one to beat you at Legacy?
Serenity Holmes: âŚPFFFFFFFT HAAHAHAHAAHAHA!
{ Natasha and Charlie clash in the center of the ring, throwing every sense out the window except for trying to secure a quick victory over the other⌠the fists are flying! Natasha! Charlie! Natasha! Charlie! They go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, but Natasha finally manages to drive in a heavy knee strike to knock the wind out of ShimizuâŚshe pulls her in, readying to hoist her up for a second attempt of TSUCHIGUMO, but Shimizu is able to wrap her good leg around Natashaâs this time to prevent herself from being lifted â Charlotte gets in a knee of her own, and gets Natasha into a double underhook! Sheâs looking for the EASTERN REDBIRD! Just as sheâs about to roll forward⌠}
DING! DING! DING!
Serenity Holmes: Who didnât see this coming?
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen⌠on account of TIME ENDING! This match has ENDED in a DRAW!
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participant: Jennie Fenix Willy Carter tries to get a statement from Jennie Fenix regarding her actions at Lineage. -------------------------------
{ The scenery goes backstage. The focus is on the nameplate on the front of the door: JENNIE FENIX. Panning backward, the camera unveils Willy Carter standing by the closed door, and he takes a deep breath before finally finding the nerve to raise his hand and tap his knuckles against the doorâŚas his hand nears the door, the door swings open and Cliff Cook stands there and dodges the oncoming attack! }
Cliff Cook: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey, buddy!
{ Willy clears his throat. }
Willy Carter: Oh, sorry.
Cliff Cook: My life flashed before my eyes! Is this because I forgot your boba?
Willy Carter: Nahâ no, itâs not like that at all. I was just hoping to get a word with Jennie Fenixâ
Cliff Cook: The Sacrifice General Manager.
Willy Carter: âabout what happened at LineageâŚ
{ Cliff smacks his lips together, and glances over his shoulder. }
Cliff Cook: You donât have to do thisâŚ
{ Inaudible voice from inside. }
Cliff Cook: Itâs not reallyâ
{ Inaudible voice talking over Cliff. }
Cliff Cook: I get that.
{ More talking. }
Cliff Cook: I get that.
{ Even more talking. }
Cliff Cook: I understand that.
{ Thereâs some more talking, and Willy Carter and likely the audience is probably tapping their feet while waiting for this to get to the point, which we may never actually get to, but youâve read this long, so whatâs a little bit longer, eh? }
Cliff Cook: I understand that.
{ Yes, thereâs more talking here. }
Cliff Cook: Okay! Okay! But only if youâre certain⌠I just⌠I know you wanted certainty before you came out to say anything.
{ Cliff turns his attention back to Willy, and beams with a smile. }
Cliff Cook: Come on in!
{ The camera crew and Willy Carter enter the office, and turn the corner to find the Sacrifice General Manager sitting behind her desk⌠she immediately stands up, and adjusts her jacket, while extending a hand out to Willy. }
Jennie Fenix: Heeey!
{ Willy shakes her hand. }
Willy Carter: Good evening, Miss Fenix, and thank you for seeing me.
{ Willy speaks appropriately. }
Jennie Fenix: My pleasure. Please, take a seat.
{ She says while gesturing to the seat across from her. Both of them sit down, while Cliff takes a seat on the couch in the corner of the room⌠}
Willy Carter: Soâ itâs been about two weeks now, and what happened at Lineage still has everybody wonderingâŚ
Jennie Fenix: Theyâre wondering why I put the title down.
Willy Carter: Theyâre wondering why you put the title down!
{ He reiterates with confusion riddling his tone. Jennie flashes an insincere smile, visibly lost in her own thoughts while contemplating answering the question. }
Jennie Fenix: Okay, soâ let me just say⌠We all know the nature of the beast. We all get into the ring each and every week, weâre all in and out of the gym more often than not, andâ things happen. Injuries happen. IâŚ
{ She pauses, leaning forward, and rests her head atop her knuckles as her elbows are propped up by the table. }
Jennie Fenix: âŚdonât really want to go into it, at the moment. I have anâ injuryâ that may force me to relinquish the championship.
{ The crowd booing over the announcement can be heard resonating throughout the hallways, and through the speakers. Jennie looks upward, having heard them, and sighs. }
Jennie Fenix: Itâs not the news that I want to carry!
Willy Carter: Maâam, if I may, there are a lot of people that are psyched about the idea of Jennie Fenix versus Charlotte Shimizu in a rematch from Night of the Immortals!
Jennie Fenix: Iâm excited for it, too.
Willy Carter: Are you saying thereâs a chance that this may not be the case?
Jennie Fenix: It may not be the case.
{ She states sternly. }
Jennie Fenix: Listen, Will, I donât want to give up my championship. I want to be able to carry this division for a long time to come, but the truth isâ I have to look after my own health, too⌠If that means that the doctors arenât clearing me to compete, then it is what it is. I canât change their minds. I canât risk my health. But NOTHING IS CERTAIN! Okay?
Willy Carter: So thereâs a chance?
Jennie Fenix: Thereâs a chance. I donât want to go into my personal information regarding my health, but weâre justâ weâre waiting on a few more tests⌠which I should get back in the next couple of days, buuutâ youâll have to wait for the next Sacrifice to hear about that!
Willy Carter: I mean, really, I hope that youâre okay. How is this going to affect you as the General Manager?
Jennie Fenix: I ran as a co-GM for months through my lovely assistantâ
{ She says while gesturing to Cliff, who gives a subtle nod as if he were tipping a hat. }
Jennie Fenix: âand so⌠no⌠my job as the GM isnât going to be compromised in the least.
Willy Carter: And what will happen if you relinquish the championship? Will there be a number one and number two contender fighting over it?! Will you have a replacement?! A stand-in?! Will Charlotte just be awarded the championship?!
Jennie Fenix: Willy, darling, I really wish that I had more answers to give the people at this time, but I donât want to get ahead of myself! You understand, right? Weâll have news soonâ good news, I hope, but news nonetheless!
{ Jennie stands back up, and Cliff steps forward. }
Jennie Fenix: Is there anything else I can do for you?
{ She asks while she and Cliff usher him towards the door. }
Willy Carter: Dean was wanting those vegan rolls in catering. I guess someone ate them all, and we donât think that person was vegan!
Jennie Fenix: Weâll send him a fresh batch of rolls. Ta-ta for now!
{ Jennie blows a kiss to the camera before finally shutting the door. Willy Carter adjusts his posture a little bit before giving a closing announcement. }
Willy Carter: So weâre still not certain.
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Allen Chaney vs. Caleb Cannin w/ Roberto Verona -------------------------------
Vasco Dias: I canât wait for our next match.
Terri Morasco: It should be a huge one, Calebâs return has left many of us asking â why? Why would he attack Allen like this?
Vasco Dias: Pull your head out of his ass for five minutes and youâd realise.
"The Future is... NOW."
{The opening riff of âEpicâ greets the audience as Caleb Cannin walks onto the entrance stage. He smiles devilishly as he makes a confident stride down the ramp, with Kilgore not far behind. He reaches the steel steps, glaring at any fans in the front. Making a careful ascent up the steps, he wipes his feet on the apron before setting foot in the ring. He ditches the jacket and towel, handing them to Kilgore before sitting down cross-legged in the corner.} }
Vasco Dias: Here comeâs Caleb Cannin â fresh off a fantastic decision for his career.
Terri Morasco: He should be careful making those sort of bargainsâŚ
Vasco Dias: Oh please, just because youâre too stupid to show our boss the respect he deserves doesnât mean everybody else is. Look at Serenity Holmes, sheâs doing very well for herself.
{The Richard Pryor quote followed by the piano intro of âShimmy Shimmy Yaâ plays and Allen emerges from the curtain.
âOoh, baby, I like it raw x4â
Allen stops and looks around the crowd with a smirk until there is a change in attitude. He leans down to slam his fists on the ramp before popping up to release what can only be described as a roar.
'Shimmy shimmy ya, shimmy yam, shimmy yay
Gimme the mic so I can take it away
Off on a natural charge, bon voyage
Yeah, from the home of the Dodgers, Brooklyn squadâ
Allen walks down the ramp, stopping every few steps to talk to fans about how his opponent has no clue what they're in for or how they smell like baked milk or how he saw them changing backstage and one of their testicles is comically bigger than the other.
âWu-Tang Killer Bees on a swarm
Rain on ya college ass, disco dorm
For you to even touch my skill
You gotta have the one killer Bee and he ain't gonna kill now
Chop that down, pass it all around
Lyrics get hard, quick cement to the ground
For any MC in any 52 states
I get psycho killer, Norman Bates'
Allen marches up the ring steps and enters the ring, giving the referee a friendly pat on the back before going to his corner and sitting down focused but also kind of vibing to his own music. }
Terri Morasco: Listen to that crowd, theyâre absolutely behind this man.
Vasco Dias: Oh great, so they have terrible taste, not very polite of you to point out is it?
Terri Morasco: Will you ever give him any credit?
Vasco Dias: Iâll credit him for having the balls to show up.
{ Allen stares at Verona who has hopped up on the apron to distract the official. The referee appears to be reluctantly arguing with his boss but eventually⌠he climbs out of the ring? Chaney senses something is amiss as the official begins to walk away as Verona himself climbs into the ring. Caleb nods at the boss as the pair of them begin to circle Allen who looks back and forth between them, not sure who is planning on making the first move as the audience cheer him on. }
Terri Morasco: What!? This was a set up all along?
Vasco Dias: Oh are we now going to complain about matches being thrown out, Morasco? You seemed happy enough last week backstage when Allen got a whole main event abandoned!
Terri Morasco: This is disgusting, how many times are they going to try to keep this man down!?
{ The two continue to circle Allen, making feigned lunges forward to try and catch him off guard, like cats toying with a mouse. Allen is still ready to defend himself and as Caleb darts forward he ducks a clothesline, leaving Verona and Caleb stood side by side when suddenly âSferic Wavesâ blares out of the PA system and Jason âJ-TVâ Hathaway comes charging down the ramp to the roar of the crowd as he dives straight under the ropes! Allen turns preparing to defend himself whenâŚ. Jason gives him a nod and turns to look at Caleb and Roberto!? What is going on? Allen and Jason are stood side by side staring at Verona and Cannin! What is happening!? }
Terri Morasco: Jason Hathaway is here and heâs standing by Allenâs side! The numberâs game has failed!
Vasco Dias: What an absolute moron.
{ The crowd are going wild as Jason and Allan stand together defiantly as Caleb and Verona look back and forth between one another. Chaney begs them to try something as Jason marches forward and gets into Robertoâs face. The two stare at one another as the crowd roars⌠until⌠what!? Jason Hathaway has⌠extended his hand to Roberto!? Allen turns to look at him and as he does so Cannin takes the opening to lunge forward and plant him in the jaw with a vicious forearm strike as J-TV and Roberto begin to shake hands! The crowd rains down the ring with boos as Caleb continues with a vicious assault, beating down Allen to one knee as he desperately tries to fight him off. However, the surprise attack is proving too much. He lifts him up and pushes him toward Hathway who grabs him and plants a FameBreaker into his skull! Allen drops to the mat as the assault finally stops with the crowd in an absolute uproar. }
Vasco Dias: What an absolute genius!
Terri Morasco: This is absolutely disgusting, we are being robbed of a huge match here!
Vasco Dias: Oh please, theyâre doing Allen a favour, Caleb would have had his number. He ruined a main event last week.
{ Jason walks over to Roberto and the two share another handshake before Verona grabs both Caleb and Jasonâs hands and raises them up into the air as the audience show their displeasure at what has just unfolded. Roberto basks in the disgust before the three turn to walk out of the ring. Jason and Caleb climb through the ropes and hop down to the apron⌠but Roberto pauses, turning to look at the prone Chaney with a smile. He turns to look at Jason and Caleb and nods, seeming to indicate that they may depart as both men turn and begin to make their way up the ramp, with J-TV mocking the fans who try to give him abuse as Caleb completely blanks them. Verona turns back to look down at Chaney with a smile, stalking around as he looks down pleased with the days work. He marches around the ring with his arms outstretched, mocking the crowd who are driven into a murderous frenzy. }
Terri Morasco: This is absolutely disgusting; I canât believe what I am witnessing.
Vasco Dias: If you play with fire, donât complain when you get burned, Morasco.
Terri Morasco: All Allen Chaney has wanted is what is rightfully his.
Vasco Dias: And in two weeks, heâs going to get what he deserves⌠itâs just not that contract.
{ Roberto stops at the ropes, leaning over them to wave mockingly at some incensed fans in the front row. He grins as they get angrier and angrier as the boos are deafening⌠until they begin to fade and are replaced⌠with a roar? Verona looks puzzled, sensing the change in atmosphere that is taking place as he looks around the arena which is now on itâs feet absolutely blowing the roof off the arena as just over Robertoâs shoulder we see⌠the rising figure⌠of Allen Chaney!? Allen stares into Veronaâs back with his nostrils flaring intensely as the crowd are going absolutely apoplectic as Verona turns and stops dead in his tracks when he realises what is going on. }
Vasco Dias: What the hell!?
Terri Morasco: Allen has risen! And the boss is all alone! He caught him in his own trap!
Vasco Dias: This is unacceptable! Where the hell are security? Somebody call the national guard!
{ Allen stares at Roberto, shaking his head vigorously to indicate he will not quit. Roberto keeps his eyes locked on Chaney with his hands balled up into fists ready to defend himself if necessary. Verona cannot believe it, heâs almost stunned with disbelief as Allen has refused to stay down, his promise to not quit and never surrender clearly being demonstrated as more than mere words. }
Terri Morasco: He promised he would not quit and now⌠he has Verona right where he wants him!
Vasco Dias: Oh come on⌠wait!
{ As the two continue to stare each other down scores of Veronaâs Legion pour down the ramp and out of the crowd, hopping the barricades. Before long they completely surround the ring but this doesnât break Chaneyâs intense rage filled stare down of the boss who looks right back at him. The noise in the building is absolutely insaneâŚ. But it only explodes even more as both Allen and Roberto slowly share a look up at the roof where we can see, suspended above the ring, the Joker in the Pack contract. The two return to stare at each other as Chaney remains utterly defiant⌠and Verona slowly backs towards the ropes, climbing out of the ring but never breaking his gaze on Allen. He nods, seemingly understanding that Allen will never stop getting back up as he holds out a hand, keeping the Legion at bay just as they seemed ready to pounce and enter the ring. Verona looks at Allen and points one last time up at the Joker in the Pack before he hops off the apron. }
Vasco Dias: Oh thank God, heâs ok!
Terri Morasco: Allen Chaney has just forced the boss to concede â what will happen when they meet at Legacy!?
Vasco Dias: Who cares, I am just glad that disgusting monster didnât get his hands on Roberto!
Terri Morasco: The bosses plan failed⌠and he seems to realise it too.
{ The crowd goes absolutely ballistic as Allen Chaney climbs the turnbuckle and yells, pointing directly at the briefcase above the ring. We canât quite make out what he is saying but the message is clear⌠hes coming for what is his at Legacy. Roberto marches up the ramp, surrounded by his Legion, but we catch a glimpse of him looking over his shoulder as the camera follows his gaze to see the defiant figure of Allen Chaney continuing to pump up the capacity crowd as we gradually fade to a commercial break. }
------------------------------- BELLA đđŚ MORTE âWeâre Cominââ ------------------------------- {A sudden and unexpected cut to a white smoky analogue clock face with green Roman numerals and red tipped black hands lights up the Imperitron in the arena. Both hands are united on the III to begin with. Suddenly the smaller hand moves, not forward as expected, but backwards to the II, accompanied not by a tick but the reversed sound of a ring bell.
A few precious seconds to process the significance and disparity from the norm of the event are all you are afforded as the hour ticks back a second time to the I, accompanied again by the reversed ring bell.
From here we slowly crossfade into a shared recent memory: LAST WEEK, and the pretty disconnected voice of Savage Kingdom, Portia, looped.}
~~Portia: Maybe you all need a reminder. Maybe you all need a reminder. Maybe you all need a reminder...~~
The recent footage of Portia stuck on a loop is spliced at irregular intervals with much older footage of a youthful Eternity.
Eternity: âŚundefeated as a tag team...I know you don't realise it because we don't feel the need to crow about it every week like that other team of posers around here...what are their names again? Oh, it doesn't matterâŚ
The old footage of Eternity transitioned to newer footage of the company faces of Madjinn, Stephen Terrella and Black Widow. Clips of victory after victory for each member of Savage Kingdom play in a scrambled indistinguishable order, raised tag titles in iron grips as Abigail laments repeatedly herself.}
Abigail: As the old adage goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same.
{We cut back to the clock now, the hours finally moving forward as intended with a regular ring bell chiming on each, from a brand new start at XII through to VI. With now the two hands working together to divide their time equally, the same space shared equally, split right down the middle.
After a few moments, green smoke not only consumes the clock but the screen in thick plumes. It takes more than a few moments to dissipate but when we return, images of a younger and more innocent kneeling Abby in front of the protective shadow of her big brother Spencer at the lakeside shack from her earliest promos in her IWF career are spliced with similar more recent images of an older, wiser Abigail, no longer in the protective shadow of a big brother, but rather kneeling in front of the uncompromising embrace of Death Incarnate - Eternity at the same shack, relit after all these years by brighter, newer candles than in the older footage with her brother.
Abigailâs voice solemnly repeats over the alternating footage of old and new images.}
Abigail: As the old adage goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same. Stay the same.
{We then fade to a final image that is either a butterfly or a skull depending on your perspective, maybe both simultaneously, life and death existing as two halves of the same circle finally as the voices of Eternity and Abigail speak two words in unison as a united foreign tongue over the image and proclaim simply:
âWeâre Cominâ.â} ------------------------------- MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCHWarren Harper vs. Cyrus Daniels ------------------------------- {Tight focus on ring announcer Alison Valance.}Alison Valance: Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time for your Main Event of the evening. The following non-title match is scheduled for one fall. {âMan In The Box" by Like A Storm hits. Cyrus Daniels walks to the ring with a purpose and a length of chain draped around his neck. Cyrus looks out at the sea of free people around the arena with a noticeable look of disdain. For this match specifically, in addition to his regular MMA attire, Cyrus noticeably wears a birthday gift from his wife, Vivienne on his left wrist - a black âI Love Youâ soundwave wristband.}Alison Valance: Introducing first, making his way down to the ring, standing at 6â11, weighing 327 pounds, hailing from Queensland, AustraliaâŚCYRUS DANIELS! {Cyrus uses the ropes to pull himself onto the apron and step over the ropes and into the ring. Cyrus walks to the centre of the ring, looking at the crowd but he seems disinterested in engaging with them on any level, he just wants the match to start as he removes the chain and hands it off to a stagehand.}Terri Morasco: In a lot of peopleâs eyes, tonightâs main event is a match up between two friends, but I donât believe Cyrus sees it that way. Vasco Dias: His wife was taken out a couple of weeks ago at Lineage by Warrenâs husband, Dean Harper. Say whatever else you want to about how the man chooses to conduct himself morally and ethically, I canât blame Cyrus for wanting to send another message directly to Dean through hurting quite possibly the only man Dean has ever loved. Terri Morasco: And given that rumour has it that the Harpers have already started divorce proceedings, Iâm not sure how true that is anymore. In a lot of ways, after the tragic death of Maxine Valentine, Warren was the only person who held Dean together for years. A wild Dean Harper, now without anybody in his life to hold him accountable for whatever he chooses to do is a damned scary thought⌠Vasco Dias: And whatâs scarier for Warren is, for the first time in years, he is all by himself in this match. Once upon a time you have to believe Dean would have done anything to protect Warren from the unbridled rage of a powerhouse like Cyrus Daniels, but not this time. Terri Morasco: Overprotected, some might say. As I understand it, thatâs part of the problem that has led to this complete breakdown of their marriage now⌠Vasco Dias: Only until that toxic couple kiss and make up for the seventeenth time, like they always do. Terri Morasco: I donât know about that, this time feels different. Warren has gone on public record to say that the post-match attack on Vivienne Daniels really was a bridge too far for him to condone - the straw that broke the camelâs back as it were. Vasco Dias: Oh was it? How tragic then that her husband Cyrus doesnât seem to believe or care about that, and you know something, Terri, I donât either. {The lights change, flickering purple briefly, in time with the opening piano, quickly stopping as the drums kick in. When the lyrics of âLegacyâ by Motionless In White begin, the lights settle on a softer, more stable golden yellow. The crowd is divided for Warren Kidd as he emerges from behind the curtains wearing a simple leather jacket, with the World Championship secured around his waist and a smirk across his face.
He then heads towards the ring, head held high and proud, confident, solely focused on his own business in that ring.}Alison Valance: And his opponent, standing at 6â1, weighing 205 pounds, currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts, he is your reigning Menâs World ChampionâŚWARREN KIDD! Terri Morasco: The rumours were true! What a blast from the past this is, Warren hasnât wrestled under the Kidd name in close to a decade. I would have bet money that heâd go back to being a Kane! Vasco Dias: I donât care what he calls himself these days, nothing is going to protect him from the wrath of Cyrus Daniels here tonight! He still has to pay for his husband Deanâs actions, and yes they are still married and will be until everything is finalised and it isnât yet. Terri Morasco: With all the family money Warren has at his disposal, I donât imagine that will take very long at all. {At the edge of the ring, Warren closes his eyes and takes a breath, locking eyes with an intensely focused Cyrus, before jumping up onto the apron. Cyrus springs forward and grabs Warren off the apron mid-entrance and overhead belly to belly suplexes Warren from the outside into the ring and halfway across it.
Warrenâs music abruptly cuts and the lights are quickly brought back up to normal levels as the reigning World Champion is mounted by a furious Cyrus Daniels who reigns down hell upon him, with blow after blow to Warrenâs head and face.
Cyrus stops only to jump up to his feet, roll Warren onto his stomach and tear Warren out of his leather jacket, which he throws out of the ring quickly. Cyrus stomps Warrenâs kidneys before unhooking Warrenâs precious World Championship from around his waist.
Cyrus holds up the still nameless World Championship in his right hand to a chorus of boos, with Warren pinned on his stomach under Cyrusâ boot.}Terri Morasco: Technically, this match hasnât even started and Warren already seems out of it. Vasco Dias: I think Cyrus is intent on sending a message here tonight. {Cyrus looks down at Warren and then at the title belt in his hand, and takes a step back and with a sadistic grin lashes Warren across the back with it. Warren convulses and yells out in pain. âWhoâs your Daddy?â Cyrus asks before a second lash. âWHOâS YOUR DADDY?!â A third lash causes Warren to violently spasm. The lenient official finally intervenes before Cyrus can deliver a fourth. The referee grabs the belt off Cyrus and yanks it from him, warning him that he will throw the match out before itâs even begun.
Cyrus seems less than pleased as the referee hands the belt off to a stagehand before officially signaling to the timekeeper at ringside to officially start the match. As the bell is rung, Cyrus picks a woozy Warren off the mat and carries him over his shoulder, before throwing him into the corner with relative ease.
Here Cyrus drives his bare kneecap into Warrenâs gut no less than three times before pummelling the World Champion mercilessly across the head. Warren is literally beaten down in the corner, where Cyrus puts a boot across Warrenâs throat, choking him.
The referee once again warns Cyrus, telling him he will disqualify him if he insists on this course of action. Cyrus uses all of the officialâs five count before easing off. Warren gasps for breath briefly in the corner, before Cyrus pulls the physically smaller man back up to his feet by the throat. Cyrus then biel throws Warren halfway across the ring with ease. Warren is out of it.} Terri Morasco: Warren hasnât had any real offense yet⌠Vasco Dias: In fairness, realistically how can you adequately defend yourself against a man so much bigger and more aggressive than you? Especially when Cyrus is obviously out for blood after what Dean did to Vivienne. Terri Morasco: But Warren is not responsible for Deanâs actions, heâs even actively distanced himself with the divorce and everything! Vasco Dias: Oh, donât tell me you buy all that crap, Terri. Over the years, Warren and Dean have broken up only to kiss and make up so many times now that none of it means a damned thing. And even if it did, I donât think Cyrus Daniels gives a - Terri Morasco: RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX! {Warren is indeed turned almost inside out with an impactful German Suplex where he lands on his head and neck awkwardly. Cyrus doesnât let up and picks Warren up for a second, then a third. And a fourth, a fifth, a sixth and a seventh, just ragdolling Kidd helplessly around the ring at will. Cyrus laughs between each catch and release throw, utterly dominating the World Champion.
Cyrus breaks only to catch his breath momentarily, Warren pushes himself to his feet in a remarkable show of resilience and forces himself to push forward into the human tornado that is his much bigger opponent. Warren tries wild swings no less than five times, each of which Cyrus dodges easily. On the sixth, Cyrus side steps and delivers his eighth Release German Suplex.} Terri Morasco: Cyrus is in full control of his opponent and the situation here! Vasco Dias: Yes, Terri he is. And thatâs just the way he likes it! {Seemingly for the sake of nothing but variety, Cyrus pulls Warren up to his feet and whips him across the ring. Warren hits the corner as Cyrus readies himself to deliver a devastating Lights Out! (Brogue Kick). Warren miraculously moves out of the way just before Cyrus can land the boot flush to Warrenâs head. Some of the crowd cheers.}Terri Morasco: Yes! Somehow Warren avoided that, donât count the Champion out just yet⌠Vasco Dias: Ultimately it wonât mean anything if Warren canât turn the tide of a match that has been so indisputably one sided so far! {A desperate Warren kicks at Cyrusâ right hamstring as hard as he can. Some of the crowd even count along with him with each kick he manages to land with Daniels in the corner. After the sixth, Cyrusâ leg finally buckles, bringing the monster down to one knee.
Warren backs up a couple of steps and delivers a picture perfect Kidd Kick (Superkick) to the kneeling Danielsâ face which connects flush.}Vasco Dias: If I didnât know better, Iâd almost swear that was a Balorâs Gaze⌠Terri Morasco: Entirely unintentional I think, especially with how we know Warren feels about Rowan MacDonnough these days⌠{With Cyrus rocked, at least temporarily, Warren uses all the strength he can muster to drag the bigger man out of the corner. He then stomps on Cyrusâ right ankle no less than thirteen times before hooking the ankle and grapevining the big manâs leg as best he can to complete his Hellfire Anklelock.
Cyrus holds on, letting out an almost guttural roar now that the tide has finally turned in Warrenâs favour. Warren seems to have realised the folly of trying to fight Cyrus so instead now resolved to out wrestle him instead.}Terri Morasco: Smart move by Warren here, if Cyrus canât stand he canât continue to physically dominate this match. Vasco Dias: Maybe not, but making a monster like Cyrus Daniels give up is still a tall order. {Vascoâs words prove remarkably prophetic as rather than tap, Cyrus relies on his brute strength to drag himself to the nearest rope, dragging Warren along with him whilst he crawls on his elbows. Cyrusâ physical height and reach once again serves him well as he grabs the bottom rope, giving the official no choice but to Warren to release the hold.
Warren uses the count of four before he reluctantly relents. Warren untangles himself and readies himself for a different plan of attack, letting an almost one legged Cyrus find his feet as best he can. When the giant does, Warren jumps up and hits Cyrus with The Upper Hand (Eye of the Hurricane). Terri Morasco: We havenât seen that move in years, the Balorâs Gaze may have been unintentional, but I donât believe that tribute to The Ace was! Vasco Dias: Of course Warren would intentionally pay tribute to a man who was never IWF World Champion, just like the loser he is. Losers idolising losers, Terri. Terri Morasco: Oh stop it Vasco, in the last several months, Warren has won the Roulette, defeated both Caleb and Dean back to back at Immortals to both win and successfully defend his World Championship , the first and only man to do so, not to mention being the first and only man to ever make Dean Harper tap. Warren is far from a loser in my book. Vasco Dias: Gee Terri, why donât you marry him if you love him so much? Terri Morasco: Iâve never been one to mix my work and personal life, especially after all the relationship drama Iâve seen play out in this business, including in this very match! {Warren tries for a quick cover, but only gets a two count before Cyrus unceremoniously launches the smaller man clear across the ring, in an emphatic kick out. The force with which Warren is thrown causes Warren to roll under the bottom rope and out of the ring.
Noticing this, the official begins his ten count and Cyrus is up at five, with Warren still regrouping on the outside. At seven Cyrus has had enough, and slaps some feeling back into his leg. At eight, Cyrus leaves the ring and he and Warren throw hands right in front of the announce desk.
The referee tries to warn both men to get back in the ring, but neither are listening, Cyrus gets the better of the exchange and whips Warren into the announce desk,causing Warren to catch his elbow on it.
Whilst Warren is cradling his elbow, Cyrus removes the top of the desk and rips out the monitors. He briefly considers hitting Warren in the head with one of them, before the official physically intervenes to warn Cyrus again. Cyrus throws the monitor away in frustration before grabbing Warren by his throat and planting him through the announce table with another devastating Conviction Chokeslam.}Terri Morasco: Oh no! Itâs Deja vu for Warren here! Taking another chokeslam through a table just like he did at Lineage. Vasco Dias: Maybe Warren should be better at learning his damned lesson! {Warren is laid out. Cyrus meanwhile intimidates the stagehand to give him his chain back, and when Daniels has it, he drapes it around his neck, before heading back into the ring with it. Cyrus barks at the referee to count Warren out, convinced there was no way Warren had any more of a fight left in him.
The referee reaches seven before Warren unwisely begins to stir. Cyrus is in disbelief, but readies himself in case Warren is stupid enough to want to continue this beating. Cyrus starts removing his gloves, stepping it up and wanting to punish Warren barehanded. We see black tape over Cyrusâ left ring finger.
At nine and a half, the ever resilient World Champion rolls in to break the count just in time. Cyrus is on him immediately, mounting and striking Warren with deliberate lefts, his taped titanium wedding ring striking Warren repeatedly in the head until he cuts into Warrenâs temple, drawing blood. Warrenâs blood notably now stains Cyrusâ knuckles as well as the tape over his ring finger.
Even the referee now seems reluctant to let the match continue as it becomes increasingly clear that Cyrus wasnât interested in wrestling so much as he was determined to make a point and send a message to anybody else who even thought of crossing his beloved wife, Vivienne.
Cyrus jumps up to his feet and pulls a clearly dazed Warren to his feet. Warren begins to involuntarily don the crimson mask, literally bleeding for the sins of the man he was still technically married to, even though heâd taken steps to start to distance himself from Dean Harper.
Cyrus looks into the camera and declares âThis is for you, Kitten.â}Terri Morasco: Please for the love of all that is good, somebody stop this match. Itâs enough damn it! Vasco Dias: Youâre welcome to try and reason with Cyrus Daniels yourself if you want to Terri! {Cyrus scoops Warren up for The Price Of Freedom (F-5) but before he can spin Warren completely off his hulking shoulders, Warren somehow manages to not only counter, but also transition almost flawlessly into a beautiful Persecution Complex (Calf Crusher).Terri Morasco: Warren Kidd just wonât quit! Vasco Dias: Then heâs a bigger idiot than I thought! {Cyrus roars aggressively, it is unclear whether he even contemplating giving in, but the visual of a bloody and battered Warren still very much in the fight of his life against an opponent he couldnât hope to match physically or in terms of purest anger tells its own story.
After a few moments trapped in the hold, Cyrus powers out of the submission by relying once more on his unfiltered aggression as he reaches back and bounces Warrenâs head off the canvas, dribbling it like a basketball for the eleven bounces it took for Warren to give up the submission attempt entirely.
Now, Cyrus is just pissed as he slowly finds his feet again. He drags Warren up and delivers no less than seven chained German Suplexes, launching him with the eighth which he mercifully releases.}Terri Morasco: Warren has taken sixteen Germans here tonight in this one match! Vasco Dias: Not to mention everything else heâs been forced to endure here tonight! {Warren is practically dead at this point in the match, but Cyrus isnât done as he retrieves his length of chain. The official immediately steps between Cyrus and a prone Warren. Cyrus has had enough of the authority figure in this match and he palms the refereeâs head, knocking him on his backside.
Cyrus then starts to wrap the chain around Warrenâs neck and drags him up into a Suspended Sentence (Standing Dragon Sleeper) choking what little life seems to remain in the World Champion, who has no response to the continued onslaught.}Terri Morasco: Somebody stop the damned match! This is far beyond the pale, what are you trying to do, Cyrus? Kill your opponent? Vasco Dias: Would that honestly shock you, Terri? Terri Morasco: Surely, youâve proven your point already you son of a bitch! Vasco Dias: Wow Terri, that isnât very ladylike! {Even the refereeâs leniency has limits as he calls for the bell, ending the match. Cyrus believes he has won, and lets an unconscious Warren go, demanding that he have his hand raised, but the referee emphatically shakes his head.
Alison Valance clarifies the refereeâs actual decision.}Alison Valance: Ladies and GentlemenâŚyour winnerâŚby DisqualificationâŚWARREN KIDD! {Warren is still out, in no shape to acknowledge his technical triumph. An outraged Cyrus Daniels doesnât think twice, seeing only red as he sweeps the referee off his feet and onto his shoulders, planting him with a vicious Price Of Freedom right next to the Warren. If he was going to be fined, it wouldnât be his first or his last.
Cyrus gathers his gloves and his chain up, puts it back around his neck, unbothered by the blood on some of its links, and leaves. The last shot of Sacrifice is an animated Cyrus getting right up to the camera on the ramp and declaring, âUntil Death Do Us Part, Kitten!â making it crystal clear who tonightâs literal sacrifice was really for.}
