------------------------------- SINGLES MATCHItami vs. Logan Sky ------------------------------- The match begins with Logan Sky trying to corner Itami, but her speed makes it difficult for him to catch her. She moves fluidly around the ring, throwing quick kicks to Logan's legs and body, attempting to wear him down. Logan manages to catch Itami with a shoulder tackle that sends her flying, showing the vast difference in power. But she quickly rolls out of the ring to recover and avoid further damage. As the match progresses, Itami picks her spots, focusing on Logan's legs with low kicks, trying to reduce his mobility. She lands a few stiff kicks to the head and chest, forcing Logan to back up. Logan tries to use his power moves, such as a bear hug or a powerslam, but Itami’s quick thinking allows her to slip out of his holds or counter with a well-timed DDT or hurricanrana. At one point, Logan catches Itami attempting a flying knee and slams her down with a brutal spinebuster. The crowd roars as Logan takes control, delivering heavy strikes and tosses, trying to overpower her completely. Itami struggles to recover, but her resilience shows as she fights back with a flurry of elbows and kicks, targeting Logan's legs again, this time landing a perfect spinning heel kick that sends Logan stumbling. Logan sets Itami up for his finishing move, possibly a massive powerbomb, but at the last moment, Itami reverses it into a triangle choke or armbar, locking him in the center of the ring. Logan struggles, his strength keeping him in the fight as he tries to power out, but Itami tightens the hold. Just when it looks like Logan might escape, Itami transitions into a surprise roll-up for a quick pin attempt. Logan kicks out, but Itami quickly follows up with a knockout blow—a running knee or a powerful kick to Logan’s head, dropping him to the mat. With Logan down, Itami seizes the opportunity to hit her finisher, and covers Logan for the dramatic 1-2-3. Winner: Itami 6:10 ------------------------------- SEGMENTStepping Up To The Plate ------------------------------- {The camera shows Nick Danger is shown preparing for his match against Caleb Cannin. Nick is approached by Willy Carter walks to Nick Danger and speaks.}Willy Carter: Excuse me…Nick, I know you have your match against Caleb Cannin coming up soon. Is your loss going to impact your match against Caleb Cannin? {Nick thinks for a moment and speaks} Nick Danger: It was a tough loss. Tytus was the better man and he is now the new number-one contender for the IWF Invictus Championship. It was a great match and I would like to face him again in the future. Tytus deserves this opportunity so I wish Selena Holmes good luck because a hungry lion is entering her home and he is starving for championship gold. {Willy Carter smiles and speaks} Willy Carter: It's good to hear that you lost against him didn't affect you that much. My question is what next for you Nick? {Nick chuckled for a moment and speaks} Nick Danger: I feel like a lot of people have asked me that a lot. So my goal is to go for the IWF Gladiators Championship. Nate Harris better be watching tonight because I am coming for that title. Back to you guys. ------------------------------- SINGLES MATCHHayleigh Blake vs. Amber Vogel ------------------------------- The match between Hayleigh Blake and Amber Vogel begins with an intense stare-down, as both wrestlers know this clash is a battle of skill versus strength. The bell rings, and Hayleigh, quick on her feet, circles Amber, avoiding her grasp and staying out of reach of the powerhouse’s imposing figure.Amber charges forward, but Hayleigh uses her speed and technical prowess to slip behind her, locking in a waist hold, trying to destabilize Amber. However, Amber powers out with a hard elbow to Hayleigh’s jaw, sending her stumbling back. Sensing an opportunity, Amber goes on the offensive, hoisting Hayleigh up for a quick bodyslam, showcasing her raw power early in the match. The impact shakes the ring, and the crowd erupts. Hayleigh, wincing from the slam, knows she can’t go toe-to-toe with Amber in terms of power, so she adjusts her strategy. As Amber moves in for another powerful strike, Hayleigh dodges and drops down to target Amber’s legs, tripping her up with a perfectly timed drop toe hold. Amber crashes face-first into the mat, and Hayleigh immediately locks in a leg hold, wrenching Amber’s knee with precision. Amber grimaces in pain, trying to shake Hayleigh off, but the technical wrestler holds on tightly, applying maximum pressure to wear down Amber’s base. Amber uses her strength to crawl toward the ropes, finally grabbing hold and forcing a break. As both competitors get to their feet, Amber’s movements seem slightly slower, her leg visibly affected by the submission. Sensing this, Hayleigh continues to focus on Amber’s weakened leg, landing a series of low kicks to further destabilize her. Staggered but not defeated, Hayleigh capitalizes on Amber’s momentary off balance and hits a swift DDT, planting Amber’s head into the mat. Hayleigh immediately transitions into a crossface, locking her arms tightly around Amber’s neck, pulling back with everything she has. The powerhouse struggles to break free, her muscles straining as she slowly drags herself toward the ropes. The crowd is on its feet, torn between the technical skill of Hayleigh and Amber’s sheer willpower to break free. Amber manages to reach the ropes, forcing Hayleigh to release the hold, but she’s visibly weakened now. Sensing the match slipping away, Amber desperately swings with a wild lariat, but Hayleigh ducks under and counters with a snap German suplex. Amber crashes to the mat, stunned. Seizing the moment, Hayleigh climbs to the top turnbuckle, measuring her dazed opponent. She leaps off, nailing Amber with a precision diving elbow to the chest. The powerhouse is down. Hayleigh immediately hooks Amber’s leg for the pin. 1… 2… 3! Winner: Hayleigh Blake 12:10 ------------------------------- MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCHJack Ferriman vs. Hellscream ------------------------------- The bell rings, and Jack Ferriman charges forward with fierce intensity, his eyes locked on Hellscream. Known for his brute strength and tactical approach, Ferriman looks to overpower Hellscream from the outset. Hellscream, unpredictable and wild, meets him head-on, letting out a terrifying scream to get into Ferriman's head. The two lock up, and Ferriman quickly overpowers Hellscream, shoving him into the corner and unloading with stiff forearm shots. Hellscream tries to escape with a quick jab to the ribs and a spinning back elbow, but Ferriman catches him and plants him with a belly-to-belly suplex, showing off his raw power. Ferriman continues to wear down Hellscream with a series of crushing shoulder blocks in the corner, but Hellscream slips out and hits a jaw-rattling enziguri, momentarily staggering the big man. Taking advantage of the moment, Hellscream turns the tide, unleashing a barrage of rapid kicks and strikes. He follows it up with a running dropkick that sends Ferriman crashing into the turnbuckle. As Ferriman stumbles out, Hellscream nails him with a diving knee from the top rope, nearly getting a pinfall. Hellscream then locks Ferriman in a tight crossface, wrenching back on his neck, hoping to force the submission. Ferriman, refusing to give in, begins to power out of the hold, his sheer strength coming into play. He lifts Hellscream up while still trapped in the crossface and slams him down with a modified backbreaker, breaking the hold. The crowd roars as Ferriman slowly gets back to his feet, the momentum shifting once more. Hellscream charges at him, but Ferriman catches him mid-run and delivers a spine-crushing powerslam. Ferriman is now in full control, showcasing his strength with a series of punishing moves. He deadlifts Hellscream into a gutwrench suplex, and as Hellscream tries to get up, Ferriman flattens him with a brutal lariat that nearly takes his head off. Hellscream, visibly dazed, tries to fight back with a desperate kick to Ferriman's knee, but Ferriman shakes it off and grabs Hellscream by the throat. In the final moments, Hellscream tries one last-ditch effort, looking for his finisher, "The Hellfire Stomp." As he sets up Ferriman, Jack surprises everyone by catching Hellscream’s foot in midair and slamming him to the mat with a powerful one-handed choke slam. Wasting no time, Ferriman picks Hellscream up onto his shoulders and delivers his devastating running powerslam that shakes the ring. With Hellscream laid out in the center of the ring, Ferriman hooks the leg, and the referee counts 1-2-3. Winner: JAck Ferriman 13:10

------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participant: Mai Evertstone Mai Everstone calls out Dean Harper following the brutal match with Shea O'Hara -------------------------------
Iyo Kenshin: Welcome to the Arena México in beautiful Mexico city!
Rayne: And we are in for a pretty packed night here at Odyssey–
{As the arena plunges into darkness, cold blue and deep purple lights faintly illuminate the space, casting long, eerie shadows. A thick, ghostly fog begins to roll down the entrance ramp, slowly swallowing the stage. The haunting melody of "Death Wish" by Royale Lynn begins to echo, the slow, brooding country tones filling the air like a dark omen. The audience falls silent, caught in the hypnotic spell of the moment. Suddenly, the shrill cry of a crow pierces the silence. On the massive Titantron, black-winged crows appear, circling in a slow, haunting rhythm as their caws grow louder, echoing through the arena. The video alternates between images of desolate landscapes—barren trees, weathered gravestones, and fields of fog—with crows perched ominously in each scene. From the shadows of the entrance emerges Mai Everstone herself, dressed in a long, black leather coat that sweeps the floor behind her as she walks. The coat is adorned with intricate lace details, mixing Black feathers are intricately woven. Her eyes are fiercely lined with black kohl, accentuating her piercing gaze. With each step, the sound of her boots hitting the metal ramp echoes in time with the song’s heartbeat. As she reaches the ring, Mai pauses, the mist still curling around her feet. With a slow, deliberate movement, she lifts her head and casts one last long look around the arena. The final note of "Death Wish" echoes in the air as the crows on the screen take flight, disappearing into the void as the lights flicker just as Mai flips over the ropes into the ring on her feet.}
Iyo Kenshin: Well I guess it makes sense for Mai Everstone to be here, we are at the beginning of the Spooky season!
Rayne: …Spooky Season started in September.
{Mai is handed a microphone taking a deep breath.}
Mai Everstone: I went back and forth on this. On the one hand Rowan and I never met. I don’t know most of the girls Dean Harper took out. And I want to pick living. But Jess Fowler and Samira Conway reminded me I signed the contract too…
Iyo Kenshin: I thought Fowler was fired?
Rayne: Administrative leave. Since they didn’t do the crime I guess it’s done.
Mai Everstone: And then I watched Extreme Endurance.
{Mai looks to the entrance.}
Mai Everstone: Dean Harper! You think you're untouchable, huh? You think you can do whatever you want and walk away like nothing happened? Well, guess what, you crossed the line. Shea’s not just another victim for you to break, she’s my friend– I don’t have many of those–and I’m not going to stand by after that!
{Mai’s eyes would narrow as she stops pacing, pointing out toward the ramp. The crowd reacts to the raw fury in her voice. Then the intro of Throne by Bring Me The Horizon begins to play as Dean walked out to the entrance ramp casually with a mic in his hand.}
Dean Harper: About time you did, Little Bird.
{Mai pauses slightly and says in a more normal tone.}
Mai Everstone: Hey, uh…Don’t flirt with me, I’m a lesbian and that’s just not the vibe. It makes me uncomfortable.
Dean Harper: Oh!
{Dean nods.}
Dean Harper: Yeah, for sure. No worries, thank you for being upfront about it.
Mai Everstone: Thank you for respecting that.
{Mai clears her throat.}
Mai Everstone: You might thrive on chaos and destruction, but I’m done watching. I’m coming for you, and trust me, you’ll regret every damn second of it!
Dean Harper: The Murder isn’t worth dying for, but sure. Do I get to pick the kind of match?
Mai Everstone: No. Go fuck yourself.
{Dean takes the mic from his mouth as if to keep from saying, closes his eyes and takes a breath before taking the mic back to his mouth.}
Dean Harper: Okay. And what kind of game are we gonna play?
Mai Everstone: First Blood.
Dean Harper: Kinky.
{Dean pauses.}
Dean Harper: Sorry. Habit.
Mai Everstone: No, it’s okay.
Dean Harper: But First Blood? Consider me platonically excited.
{Mai glares at Dean who shrugs with a smirk.}
Iyo Kenshin: Sounds like we are gonna be getting another Revenge match soon.
Rayne: That will leave just April and Brooklyn after it… Still, I imagine this will be something to see.
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Ollie Maverick vs. TJ Alexander -------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following match is scheduled for one fall!
Iyo Kenshin: This looks to be a pretty interesting match.
Rayne: To who? The idiots on twitter who are sharing raccoon memes?
{With all of it's horns, and wild discordant bravado '2econd 2ight 2eer' by Will Wood begins and Ollie Maverick bursts from the curtain to cheers, wearing his ring gear, a nice jacket, and with a ring attendant behind him carrying a pet carrier containing Rocky Trashington. Ollie does a sort of bouncy strut/dance on his way to the ring, seemingly ignorant of the world around him in general. Ollie does a little twirl upon arriving at the ring apron and is still kind of jamming out and dancing as the ring attendant takes the pet carrier over to the announce desk and sets it down. Ollie springs up onto the ring apron and does a lucha roll into the ring, landing flat on his back but following it with a kip up to show it was on purpose before going to his corner, still vibing to his music.}
Alison Valance: First down to the ring….Ollie Maverick!
Iyo Kenshin: The crowd clearly loves him!
Rayne: As I said, idiots.
{As "The Touch" By Stan Bush blares out of the PA speakers, TJ Alexander walks onto stages and raises his hands out to the side, he walks down the ramp with a cocky arrogance and chip on his shoulder, and TJ runs into the ring and climbs the nearest turnbuckle and looks into the crowd with a smile on his face.}
Alison Valance: Next to the ring… TJ Alexander!
Iyo Kenshin: TJ is looking to turn his luck around here in this match.
Rayne: Sure he is.
{The bell rings, and Ollie starts by using his speed to outmaneuver TJ Alexander. He darts around the ring, hitting quick arm drags and hurricanranas, keeping TJ on the back foot. However, TJ, ever the technician, quickly adapts and manages to ground Ollie with a series of precise holds. TJ targets Ollie’s legs early, knowing that if he can take away the high-flyer’s ability to soar, he’ll have the upper hand.}
Iyo Kenshin: TJ is targeting Ollie’s legs!
Rayne: Let’s see if he chews off his leg.
{Despite being locked in submissions and slowed by TJ’s methodical work, Ollie refuses to stay down. He counters a suplex attempt with a slick backflip and immediately follows up with a standing shooting star press, catching TJ off guard. The crowd roars as Ollie builds momentum, hitting springboard forearms and dropkicks, dazzling with his high-speed offense.}
Iyo Kenshin: Ollie doesn’t give up!
Rayne: Maybe he should?
{TJ regains control by trapping Ollie in a single-leg Boston crab, continuing to weaken his legs. Ollie’s face shows pain, but he claws his way to the ropes, refusing to tap. Even with his legs hurting, Ollie summons the energy to roll out of the ring and then leaps onto the apron, launching himself into a breathtaking springboard moonsault, catching TJ on the outside.}
Iyo Kenshin: Ouch. TJ keeps focusing on the legs.
Rayne: Can’t do flippy shit without your legs.
{Back in the ring, Ollie attempts a high-flying finisher, but TJ counters with a perfectly timed European uppercut mid-air, sending Ollie crashing down. TJ follows up with a series of suplexes, trying to end things with a submission hold, but Ollie’s tenacity kicks in. Ollie manages to reverse out of a hold and, in one swift motion, uses the ropes to propel himself into a tornado DDT, spiking TJ into the mat.}
Iyo Kenshin: This could be it!
Rayne: I hope not.
{Sensing his moment, Ollie climbs to the top turnbuckle despite the pain in his legs. The crowd holds their breath as he performs a breathtaking Springboard Sitout Facebuster-THE FACE ERASER, crashing down onto TJ with perfect precision. The impact is immense, and Ollie hooks the leg
1 2 3!!}
Alison Valance: Your winner…Ollie Maverick!
Iyo Kenshin: Woo! Go, Ollie!
Rayne: great. More Raccoon memes.
{Ollie picks up Rocky from his pet carrier and holds him high as his music blasts from overhead.}
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participants: Rosa de Luca and Nate Harris The IWF Gladiator and Gladiatorix champions sit down to discuss their recent successful title defence. -------------------------------
{In the joint interview, Nate Harris and Rosa DeLuca sit side by side, both looking confident after their recent victories as Gladiator and Gladiatorix champions.
Nate Harris, dressed in a well-fitted black or charcoal gray bomber jacket over a slim-fit, crew-neck T-shirt in a neutral navy with black jeans, slightly tapered to fit well but not too skinny, and a pair of black Air Force ones.
Rosa DeLuca, dressed in a sleek, form-fitting, off-the-shoulder midi dress in a rich, deep color like emerald green with sleek black stilettos to elongate her silhouette and chandelier earrings with some sparkle. She is wearing her hair casually around her shoulders and smokey eyes with neutral lip color on her nails in a classic nude for a refined touch. Paired with the outfit is a simple bracelet and a small clutch, possibly with a metallic finish to match the shoes, to complete the ensemble.}
Nate Harris: What’s up IWF its ya boy.
{Nate grins wide.}
Nate Harris: You know, being the Gladiator champion means ya gotta constantly prove yourself, and that's what I do. Every match is a test of endurance, strength, and strategy. It's about who's willing to go that extra mile, and ya’ll know that’s what I do.
{Nate smirks.}
Nate Harris: It’s not just a title; it’s a mindset. You’ve got to be hungry, every time.
{Rosa DeLuca, nods along before adding her thoughts.}
Rosa Deluca: For me, becoming Gladiatorix champion is a dream I've worked for my entire career for. There's no easy path to get here. But once you're on top, you understand the pressure and responsibility that comes with it.
{Rosa looks directly into the camera.}
Rosa Deluca: I’ve faced some of the toughest opponents out there, and I’ve earned this. It’s not just for me—it’s for every woman out there who's been told they couldn't do it.
{Nate glances over at her with respect.}
Nate Harris: And you beat Mimi Simpson’s ass.
{Rosa chuckles, meeting his gaze.}
Rosa Deluca: And you beat R.A. Marshall.
Nate Harris: Nah, I beat his ass so bad he wrote a message about quitting.
{Rosa glances to the side and then back to the camera.}
Rosa Deluca: I look forward to finding out who my next challenge will be.
Nate Harris: Meanwhile I got that salty-ass bitch Danger biting at my heels.
Rosa Deluca: You … You shouldn’t talk about other people like that.
Nate Harris: Nah, I’m gonna.
Rosa Deluca: You could try to be better…
Nate Harris: I ain’t gonna put a fake ass new coat of paint on. I am who the fuck I am. If he gots a problem with it He’ll bitch on twitter about it.
Rosa Deluca: Right. Well, this was fun.
Nate Harris: For sure.
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Serenity Holmes vs. RAM -------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and a twenty-minute time limit. Introducing first...
{The opening bars to a metal cover of "Necron" -- the final battle theme from Final Fantasy IX -- begin to play as we hear distorted audio recordings of screams and laughter filter in. The visual of blood red-hued programming language being typed on a screen is seen with a hint of flame dancing in the background. The flames grow bigger and bigger before the pictures cut to black, and the following message appears.}
"c000021a [FATAL SYSTEM ERROR]"
{As "Necron" kicks into gear, Ram hops into the picture, and as pyro goes off around him he pretends to do the famous Buster Sword "victory" pose before heading down to ringside. While he gets a mixed reaction from the crowd, he takes a moment or two to look around and admire the gathering around him before stepping inside the ring.}
Alison Valance: Entering the ring, standing 6'3" tall and weighing in at 225lbs... RAM!
{Alison steps aside as RAM walks right past her, making his way to his corner.}
Iyo Kenshin: This is a big match for RAM, Rayne. It hasn't been all smooth sailing as of late for one of the youngest competitors we have on the roster; but with a win here over Serenity, he could potentially vault himself into contention for her Invictus Championship.
Rayne: He absolutely could, and he should be thinking about that. This kid has all the talent in the world, Iyo. I love the size, the athleticism and the attitude. I just wonder where his head is. Most of us have seen the TMZ story. I know firsthand, this business can be tough sometimes. If he's not on the top of his game against Serenity Holmes though, she'll drop him fast,
Iyo Kenshin: If he should even be competing, let alone stepping inside of a ring with an athlete the caliber of Serenity Holmes, is a question I would love to pose to our General Manager. Randon Haynes refused to even take a meeting with me, however.
Rayne: Our GM is a busy man, Iyo.
{"Synthetic Sympathy" by Trash Boat immediately explodes from the arena's surrounding systems, sparking a positive reaction from the audience. The bass and repeated opening lyrics synchronize with the lights flashing around the venue's interior, leading to Serenity Holmes sprinting from the backstage area to center stage, where the fans of the Action Wrestling universe greet her. She stands center stage before taking off her hat and throwing it into the fans for amusement until looking down the entrance path, where she takes off into a run for the mere moment of interactions on her fast-paced run to the ring.}
Alison Valance: Introducing his opponent, on her way to the ring! Hailing from Houston, Texas! At five feet, seven inches tall, weighing in at 127 pounds. She is "22nd Century Girl" Serenity Holmes!
{Serenity slides under the bottom rope before unloading onto her feet, where she quickly hops onto the middle turnbuckle of an unoccupied corner to greet the fans at ringside. She flips her hair and throws up a peace sign with her tongue hanging out while winking at the camera. Serenity hops down and lands on her feet before running around the ring to show love to every possible fan in the atmosphere before staying in her designated corner, waiting for the next moment.}
Iyo Kenshin: How busy our GM is, is certainly up for debate. What is clear is that our Invictus Champion is supremely confident entering this match, Rayne. She had some harsh words for RAM this week, vowing to break his spirit and stomp his head in.
Rayne: A champion should be confident, Iyo. She sent out a tweet this week reading: one hundred twenty-days. She knows she's on a run. When you're rolling like that, you look at a kid like RAM as a speedbump. Right now, her focus is where it should be: directly on Tytus Rost.
Iyo Kenshin: You know as well as anyone, when you start looking too far ahead in this sport, you often trip over what is in front of you.
Rayne: That won't happen to Serenity, though. Trust me. She's sharp.
{The official for this contest, Tommy Knocker, checks in with both competitors to see if they're ready. They give affirmative indications. Tommy calls for the opening bell.}
Ding!
{The two competitors circle each other between the ropes for the first thirty seconds of the contest, with Serenity having more bounce in her step, and RAM walking more aggressively, until RAM stops to jaw at someone heckling him in the crowd. Serenity taunts RAM, motioning for him to fight her. They return to circling, with RAM becoming the earlier aggressor by reaching for Serenity's leg. She uses her agility and speed to evade him, backpedaling away. They circle again briefly before Marshall tries to lock up with Serenity. She ducks under to evade the contact and sticks RAM with a forearm shot to the chin. RAM walks back to a corner, leaning on the ropes as he checks his teeth. There is an especially vocal group of men in the front row verbally all over RAM. Marshall sneers at them before turning around to try to rapidly close on Serenity. She dances around, trying to avoid getting caught; but RAM is agile enough to move with her as the ring gets smaller the more he forces her back into a corner.}
{Holmes slips outside beneath the bottom rope, with RAM following. Serenity runs around the outside of the squared circle with RAM in hot pursuit of her. Serenity re-enters the ring on a different side. Holmes is already running toward the ropes when RAM makes it back inside. Marshall looks for a big clothesline that misses when Serenity ducks under his arm. Holmes bounces off the other side and runs straight into a punishing punch to the face from RAM! Serenity moves to get up, slightly dazed. RAM grabs her by the hair and rams (no pun intended) her face directly into the top turnbuckle of the nearest corner. RAM delivers a hard kick to her midsection before grabbing a handful of hair and driving her face into the opposite top turnbuckle. Serenity drops down on all fours, trying to crawl away. RAM grabs her boot, dragging her backward. RAM dishes out a series of punishing stomps on Serenity with a ferocity. Continuing to try to pour the pressure on Serenity, RAM grabs two big handfuls of her hair, looking to introduce her face to yet another turnbuckle. Serenity has a counter this time, putting her boot on the middle turnbuckle and her hands on the top rope for the block! Serenity throws an elbow back against the side of RAM's head, rattling him. Despite being at a size disadvantage, the emotional Holmes starts laying in heavy forearms to RAM's chest, trying to drive him back. RAM throws a knee into Serenity's abdomen. Serenity tries to walk away to create some distance. RAM catches her with a kick to the back of the leg to slow her. Marshall looks for another big right that catches air when Serenity ducks underneath the contact. Holmes darts across the ring, bouncing off the ropes and charging back at Marshall. RAM lowers his shoulder, dumping her over the top rope with a big back body drop!}
Iyo Kenshin: Serenity landed extremely hard there, Rayne!
Rayne: Let me tell you, that floor doesn't give either! A fall like that will leave you sitting on a rubber donut for a week!
Iyo Kenshin: At least her Twitter fingers appear unharmed.
Rayne: Are you taking jabs at the champ, Iyo!? I hope she marches up here and slaps the taste out of your mouth.
{RAM goes outside after Holmes, looking to inflict more damage. Holmes is walking away rather gingerly, easily enabling RAM to close the gap on her. After bouncing Serenity's face off the apron, RAM takes her by the wrist and whips her into the steel guard railing! RAM charges, only this time it's Serenity with enough wherewithal about her to lower a shoulder and flip Marshall up and over into the crowd! Holmes works to catch her breath while RAM is laying in the laps of a couple fans in the front row. A moment passes before Serenity pulls Marshall back over the railing by his hair, landing him hard on the floor. Serenity backs up, creating a runway so she can rush in and connect with a "Moving Holmes" (Running Shining Wizard) to RAM's head!}
Rayne: RAM just got his bell rung!
Iyo Kenshin: The sound of Serenity's boot making contact with RAM's skull echoed throughout this arena, Rayne! RAM is in a bad way.
Rayne: Serenity rolling back up inside now, which is smart. Take the count out victory, if it's there for you. She doesn't need to pin RAM here. There is no upside to potentially getting yourself any more banged up.
Iyo Kenshin: Tommy Knocker is up to eight now, exercising an extremely slow count.
Rayne: If he doesn't count a little faster, he may find himself in an uncomfortable meeting with the big boss.
Iyo Kenshin: There's nine! RAM may be done.
{Just as Tommy is about to count him out, RAM pushes himself up and dives into the ring to avoid being counted out! Holmes is quickly on him, however, mounting his back and dropping more heavy MMA style forearms to the back of his head. Serenity gets up quickly, lifting her leg high and bringing down a punishing stomp to the back of RAM's head to cap the flurry. With that she heads to the apron, where she begins to make her way up to the top turnbuckle. It takes a moment for RAM to get up, and when he does, he's on wobbly legs. Holmes launches herself into the air, landing a missle dropkick to the face of RAM to knock him backwards. Serenity crawls over, laying her back over RAM as she hooks one of his legs. The official slides into position for a count; but RAM kicks out after the count of two! Serenity slams the bottom of her fist down on RAM's chest, almost as if to say: "stay down". Serenity gets up as RAM also works to try to get himself up. Holmes throws a kick at RAM, buckling his leg. RAM wills himself back up and delivers a knuckle sandwich right into her mouth, dropping the Invictus Champion to a knee. RAM lowers an elbow on top of her head, then lifts her up for a scoop slam! Winging it, RAM makes a standing leap, trying to drop an elbow on Holmes' chest; but Serenity feels it coming, enabling her to roll out of the way. RAM gets up holding his arm, trying to shake it out, only to be caught in a tornado DDT from Holmes! Serenity tries for another pin attempt. The referee slides into position for a count; but once again, Marshall is able to kick out after the count of two!}
{Serenity keeps her focus, getting up, then flipping back onto RAM with a standing moonsault. However, Holmes forgoes making a cover, instead deciding to grab a handful of RAM's hair and throw a few punches at his face. Still fighting, RAM reaches up, takes hold of her head by the sides, and dishes out a headbutt. RAM tries to work out from underneath Serenity's mount, turning onto his stomach; which opens the door for Serenity to rain down more forearm shots to the base of RAM's skull. Serenity brings herself up, takes RAM by the arm and head to pull him up, and delivers a stiff kick to his side. RAM grimaces, but still fights; firing back with a barrage of punches to her body to take the wind from her. RAM whips Serenity into a corner, hunting to land a flying knee on her there; but Serenity quickly moves and RAM's knee catches the buckle. Holmes kicks RAM's other leg out from underneath as he limps out of the corner, landing him hard on the back of his head and disorienting him. Moving quickly, Serenity scales the buckles, leaping off and crushing RAM's skull with a "Red Bottoms"! Holmes quickly goes back to cover RAM, scoring a three count for the victory! The official signals for the bell.}
Ding! Ding! Ding!
{Serenity comes up off the cover as ""Synthetic Sympathy" by Trash Boat blasts throughout the arena.}
Iyo Kenshin: RAM gave Serenity everything she could handle, Rayne, but in the end, she was a half-step ahead.
Rayne: That's what winners do, Iyo- they win. And Serenity is a winner.
{The official raises Serenity's arm in victory. She walks over, demanding her championship. Once the belt is handed in to her, she orders the official to raise her arm again as she holds the belt up with the other arm. She gloats over RAM for a moment before turning around and pretending to kick dirt back on him before she leaves the ring.}
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit IWF Medical Staff provide an update on the conditions of Bryce De Jäger, Abraxes and Rob Diamond. ------------------------------- { The scene opens up on Tiffany Jones, where she is seated in a webcast room with the IWF Odyssey backdrop behind her. She has a mic in her hand and a bright smile on her face. }
Tiffany Jones: Hello everyone! I’m hoping we can get a medical update from the brutal Unsanctioned Brawl that took place during Extreme Endurance. All three… men in this match took a sickening amount of damage and we want to reach out to them and get an update on how they are doing. Obviously none of them have been cleared for travel so we are reaching out via satellite uplink. I’m told we have Bryce on the line here. Byrce?
{ The image shifts to a generic hospital room. The low tone of of a machine with disconnected sensors fills the room and the sheets to the bed have been tossed to one side. Otherwise the room appears empty, even has static flashes across the screen. The cameras switch back to Tiffany he offers a small smile. }
Tiffany Jones: I guess Bryce had to step out. That seems to be a positive turn. Let’s see if we can check in with Rob Diamond.
{ There is another camera change to a similar looking room as before, though in a mirror image. Clearly from the same hospital as before but with a different room set up. The same steady tone, the same disheveled bed. Several long beats pass as static mars the feed. Once more the camera cuts back to Tiffany who laughs nervously and tucks her hair behind her ear. }
Tiffany Jones: Uh, I guess maybe they both had to step out? Let’s see if we can’t get Bryce back.
{ The camera shifts again, this time in a split screen. It shows Tiffany and the two empty hospital rooms. She looks off to the camera, clearly listening to a producer say something in her ear piece as static flashes across the screen. }
Tiffany Jones: I’m sorry folks. We had confirmation that they were ready for this interview. I don’t know what’s…
{ There is a sharp whine of feedback and the screen is suddenly full of static. The harsh garbled sound is almost unbearable, but it slowly eases off as a face forms in the feedback on the screen. A familiar, grinning visage. }
Abraxes: Pride goeth before the fall and there is no more prideful lot then these. They have been measured and weighed and they have been found wanting. They shall bask in the crucible of my judgement. They shall walk the gauntlet of my wisdom and come out the other side broken or molded in mine own image.
{ The face fills the static, growing larger as if it was leaning closer. As if it was fighting to break free from the screen and step into the world with you. }
Abraxes: The parent must tend to the children, and I a̡̳̤̱͙̺̱͔ͣ̆̉́ͬͦ̕͜͞m̧̝͓̪̗̻͔̟̖ͯ̓̑ͯ̆_̷̶̷̨̢̱̹̖̼̣̤̩̘͙͉͔͍̟̃͒̇̎̽̐̾̿͋̀ͫ͜ͅͅ n̶̶̢̧̛̛̪̮̞̙̬̩̝̗̹̥̟̲̼͓͚̮͚̳͌ͩ̈́̄́́ͧͯ́ͨ̋̿̿̊͑̅ͣ̎̒̋ͨ̕̕o̧̡͙͉͉̰͍̟̹̞̹ͤ̇͗̽ͯ̓̽ͩ̕͠t̷̢̨̨̨̯̟͙̱̟̦͓͖̩͍͍̩̯̰̠̣̥̤͎ͩͭ̏̎̃ͨͫ̏͋̃́ͤ̔͊̎͊̾͟͝ͅ_̝͌ d̶̟̘̘͙̊̒ͮ̈̕o̘̤̲͍̽_̶̵̡̢̨͙̘̼͎̮̟̖̣͈̺̻̰̖͂ͪ̽̓ͧ̓̌ͤͦ͗̊̓͑̓̂͌͗ͤ̚͟͜͢͢ņ̷̵̡̧̛̹̫̝̟͙̭͎̱͙̮͚̜̠͔͂͆͑̂̈́ͭ͌͐̍̆̓ͯ̃̋ͥ͘͜͞é̴̸̸̵̷̡̧̬͖͖̠͈̺̣̣͙̺̙̋̄͒ͦ̂̑́͗̈͌́ͥ̾̑ w̳̘̩͓̜̯̺͉͇̋́̍ͣ̄ͯ̉ͣ̓͛̚͡͞ḭ̠͓̗͕͊̓̀ͦ̚_̴̧͍̰̻̯͔̜͉͕ͤͤͫ̋̇̈̄͘ͅt̵̵̵̥̙͍̻̖̼͈͙̃̿ͭ̓ͮ̀ͩ̓̾ͮ̇͜͝͞h̵̵̷̡̢̛͖̝̜͈̬͔͇̮͈̪̖ͮͮ̃ͧ̓ͨ́̀̌̏͛̉͘̚͝_̢̳̞̙̩̬ͬ̋̃͂̎̓͛ t̶̷̵̤͙̫̪̰̻̠̳̼͉̪͊̔ͧ̍́̇͌̊ͤͪͨ͋̐̊̚͟͢͝h̨̨̢̛̛̹̺̹̝̖̫̪̳̻̱͊̇͋̅ͫͯ͌ͪ̂̉͐e͓̼̟͑̇_̨͚̲̭̠̳̌̈́͗̃̊ͭ͟ṃ̵̴̶̧̛̖͙̝̤͕͓̫̖̤̺̭̰̝̟ͪ̿̀̓̉͋ͫ̽͋ͩ̒̈́͌ͮͥ̄̂̈́̉͌ͥ̍͡͠ ỹ̛̪͙̹͍̎́ͨ̿͐̄̏ͩ̐̀͞e̵̢͚̝̹̩̥͒ͤ̆̓̐̅́͆ͣ͂́̂ͧ̑̚ṱ̴̶̥̓͌͘ͅ
{ As suddenly as it appeared the static is gone, revealing a pale Tiffany Jones. She stares into the camera, unblinking for a moment before the lights in the studio dim from a brown out. She drops the mic with an audible pop and rushes out of screen and we can hear a producer yelling to cut to commercial. }
------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Caleb Cannin vs. Nick Danger -------------------------------
{ The lights turn red and red smoke follows on the entrance ramp. "Bulls Of Parade" by Rage Against The Machines start to play and the crowd start chanting "Rising Ace" and "Danger Zone". Nick Danger walks out onto the entrance ramp and red fireworks light up the entrance ramp. He starts to walk down the ramp giving fans high fives and hug some of the younger fans. Nick walks up the steel steps and enters through the middle rope and stands in the center of the ring. Nick points an index finger at himself and the fans chant "NICK RULES!!!" and take off his jacket and toss it to the fans and wait for the match to start fixing his arm sleeve. }
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen, this contest is scheduled for one fall! Making his way to the ring, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 210 pounds… he is The Rising Ace… NICK DANGER!
Iyo Kenshin: This match-up has become a staple of IWF in the past couple of years! Nick Danger versus Caleb Cannin!
Rayne: I’m shocked Roberto Verona allowed this match to even happen, considering what Caleb Cannin will do to Nick Danger! Maybe it’s some sort of test?
Iyo Kenshin: Or maybe Cannin needs to actually prove he’s worthy of challenging for that world championship, after he tried playing mind games with Pax Stormcrow! Nevertheless, we all know that Nick Danger is always ready for a fight!
{ The lights go down as a low mist begins to emanate from the entrance ramp. A muted guitar riff plays as Caleb Cannin, clad in his hooded jacket, emerges out of the darkness. A white spotlight illuminates him from behind, showing nothing but a dark figure. The guitar, now with added drums, starts to pick up as he crouches low… }
"SICK!"
{ Lights come back up as Cannin stands up suddenly, whipping the hood off in the process. The camera closes in on a stone-faced Caleb before he begins his stroll down the entrance ramp. }
Alison Valance: And his opponent… from Washington, D.C., weighing in at 219 pounds… CALEB CANNIN!
Rayne: He’s looking as focused as ever, Iyo! Nick Danger better pray that he gets lucky and this
{ “S!CK” by The Warning continues to play as Cannin slowly makes his way to the ring. Once he’s at the ring steps, he takes off his jacket and looks at the crowd, then at a ringside attendant. He simply drops the jacket on the floor for the attendant to pick up. Then, he enters the ring and crouches down in a corner, a cold look within his eyes. }
Iyo Kenshin: This is a very different man from the one we’ve seen go to war with Nick Danger in the past. He says that he’s got a destiny to live up to.
Rayne: Of course he has a destiny to live up to! He is under the guidance of Roberto Verona, one of the most decorated men in this company. The bar has never been higher for Caleb Cannin, but he clears it every time!
{ The bell rings as the two men square off. Danger motions for Cannin to bring it, while Caleb shakes his head and laughs dismissively at his opponent. After a few moments of words being exchanged, the two men explosively come to blows! They trade punches and forearms, not letting the other man get an inch of momentum. Cannin eventually rears back and tries to hit Nick with a lariat, but he ducks and lands a picture-perfect Pele kick! Caleb falls backwards into the ropes, clutching his jaw. Danger immediately takes the chance to rush down his opponent, unleashing another flurry of forearms. Cannin finds himself on the outside, trying to take a quick breather. Nick isn’t allowing for a single wasted moment as he runs the ropes, looking to hit a suicide dive. However, the wise Caleb waits until the very last second and uses Danger’s momentum to launch him right into the barricade! Nick crumples into a heap as Cannin recuperates. Then, Caleb digs his boot right into the face of the downed Danger. He grabs him by the hair and pulls the Rising Ace over to the ring steps. Cannin scoops up Nick and lifts him onto his shoulder. He drops him down, allowing his face to collide with the edge of the steel steps! Danger puts both hands up to his face as Cannin speaks down to him with an eerie calmness. }
Iyo Kenshin: This is the intense start we expected out of these two! A rivalry like this never truly dies down!
Rayne: Only because an idiot like Nick Danger refuses to let it die!
{ Throwing Danger back into the ring, Caleb slowly slithers under the bottom rope and back inside. He gives a quick glance out into the audience of Arena Mexico, who proceeds to boo him. The Legionary shoots down on top of Nick for a cover!
UNO…
DOS…
Danger kicks out!
Ever the opportunist, Cannin begins to smother Danger with a chinlock after he kicks out. He begins quietly talking to Nick before tightening his hold, while Danger fights to make an escape. The crowd rally behind the rebellious Danger, who manages to slowly rise to a standing position. He backs up Cannin against the ropes, finally breaking free and letting Caleb rebound on the opposite side. He ducks down as Cannin runs across the ring and leapfrogs him on the way back. Then, as Caleb stops himself, Nick jumps off the second rope and lands a springboard leg lariat! As he rolls through, Danger sees that Cannin is already rising back up. He kicks away at Caleb’s legs, hoping to chop him down. Nick rears back and lands a hard kick to the side of Cannin’s head, sending the Legionary back onto the canvas. Danger signals for a Legacy Cutter and begins to head to the ropes as Caleb slowly stands back up. As Danger plants his feet on the ropes, Cannin quickly lands a dropkick to his back, sending Nick tumbling to the outside! As Danger tries to pick himself back up, Cannin looks around, noticing the situation he’s in now. He runs towards the ropes, bouncing off of them and seemingly looking to dive… but he quickly slides under the bottom rope and to the outside. Then, he clobbers Danger with a hard clothesline, knocking him off his feet. }
Rayne: Beautiful move from Caleb Cannin, bravo!
Iyo Kenshin: He might have Danger on the back pedal here…
{ Cannin lays into his opponent with some brutal forearms, staggering Danger as they patrol the ring. The referee begins a count of ten, though Caleb pays little attention to it. He instead grabs Nick by the hair once more and places his prone body on the apron. Then, he grabs his head and drags out his body, hitting a brutal Thing of the Past on the outside! Cannin briefly admires his handiwork before throwing Danger back into the ring. Nick is trying to fight his way through the pain, but Caleb is already harping on the neck before he can even stand. A devastating cravate is applied, right before falling down into a neckbreaker! Cannin immediately pops back up, having a brief moment to look out to the crowd. When they begin to loudly boo, he jumps right back onto Danger and delivers some ground and pound action. He rains blows down on the vulnerable Rising Ace, yelling at him all in the meanwhile. The official tries to separate the two men, but Cannin immediately hops off and starts trying to push back at the referee. While the two argue, Danger uses the ropes to help himself back up, an intense look forming across his face. As Cannin’s back is turned, Danger finally is able to stand. He rushes at Caleb and hits an Ace Blade! But, Caleb stumbles right into the referee because of the hit, knocking them both down temporarily. Danger doesn’t let up, however, and tries picking Cannin back up. As he does,Caleb delivers a swift enziguri to get Nick off of him. He looks over to the downed ref and then back to Danger. With a quick kick, he goes for a Cup Check on the Rising Ace! }
Iyo Kenshin: I can’t believe this! Cannin is about to cheat to win again!
Rayne: When the official is down, you take those chances-
Iyo Kenshin: WAIT! LOOK!
{ Before the kick can make contact, Danger catches Cannin’s leg! He looks straight at his adversary, his nostrils flaring in frustration. Caleb looks like a deer in headlights, but it’s soon lights out as Nick drops the leg and lands a vicious Strike Out to Cannin’s jaw! Cannin is down and out on the mat! But with the referee still recovering, Danger has a bit of time to decide his next move. He decides to scale the turnbuckle, watching both Caleb and the official carefully. Once he’s on the top turnbuckle, he turns away and slowly rises to his feet. The audience also gets to their feet in anticipation of this high-risk move from Danger. He goes for the Red Phoenix, but as he comes down, he lands right on a pair of knees courtesy of Cannin! Nick clutches at his ribs, doubled over on the canvas in pain. Caleb begins to stir, still shaking off that brutal forearm strike. Once he lays eyes on the hurt Danger, he begins to pounce on the chance to inflict further pain. He kicks away at Nick’s ribs as Danger cries out in agony. Cannin grabs Danger’s head and yanks him up to a standing position. He quickly puts the toe of his boot right into the ribs, causing Nick to nearly collapse. Before he can hit the mat, Caleb quickly hooks his arms and spikes his head down into the mat with The Cannin Ending! Danger slumps onto the mat, unconscious as Cannin makes a cover. The referee, now awakened, crawls over to count.
UNO…
DOS…
TRES!
The bell rings as Caleb slinks off of Danger’s prone body. He crouches over him, saying some words before shaking his head in contempt. The referee raises his hand in victory as Cannin clutches his jaw. }
Alison Valance: And here is your winner, Caleb Cannin!
Rayne: Right place, right time, Iyo! Caleb Cannin just proved why he is going to fulfill his destiny of being IWF World Champion!
Iyo Kenshin: It was a victory that was hard fought, even if I don’t agree with Caleb Cannin. Nick Danger put in a hell of a match, but one slip up and Cannin managed to take advantage.
------------------------------- SEGMENT 2000 Word Limit Participant: Shea O'Hara Shea O'Hara discusses her recent match with Dean Harper and her intentions towards Charlotte Shimizu. -------------------------------
{Backstage in The Murder locker-room, the current Queen’s Gambit 2024 contract holder, Shea O’Hara sat on a wooden stool and strummed an acoustic guitar in her lap. A red and gold replica velvet-lined briefcase was propped open at her feet, as if she was busking for tips and gratuities with it. The Queen’s Gambit logo emblazoned across the front of the case however was a stark reminder of her true wealth and privilege. One side was still dented, obviously from clashing so violently against Charlotte Shimizu’s hard head and thick skull, a few weeks prior.
Shea wore sunglasses. Her red ‘Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures’ shirt was contrasted with her black leather jacket and matching silver chained short skirt, fishnets and boots. She also wore a single ear-loop headset microphone. A smile spread across her ruby glossed lips as she strummed a tune that wasn’t immediately familiar, until she started singing. Some of the crowd recognised it as an acoustic rendition of ‘Hatred’ by Beartooth.}
Shea O’Hara: All alone in a wall-less prison Didn't forget and you're not forgiven Live every day with the pain in the back of my mind Torture doesn't begin to describe it I won't forget I won't forgive I won't forget Who knew you'd be hated for being who you are And be a big target for all the insecure? There's a bullseye painted on our chests In the crosshairs of the ignorant But I am not your scapegoat anymore…
{Shea confidently smirks as she stopped playing, bridged out of the song and into regular speech.}
Shea O’Hara: Forgive me for being more than a little self-indulgent here tonight, but anybody who knows me at all knows what a vital part of my life music is and always will be. It’s been a lifeline in some of the darkest times of my life, and allowed me the freedom to express myself in ways I couldn’t always otherwise articulate. Now anybody who saw Extreme Endurance already knows that in a lot of ways that night didn’t exactly go the way I hoped, planned, expected or even wanted. I didn’t get the win or the satisfaction of humbling Dean Harper exactly, but I did still prove a few key points in our “I Quit” match, like.
{A small smile, understated.}
Shea O’Hara: For instance, I told the world that Dean just didn’t have it in him to keep me out of his misery forever. He may have won the match, but he didn’t end or even seriously injure me. It’s one hell of a concession for a man who, at least half-heartedly believes my mere existence is directly responsible for the breakdown of his absolute sham of a marriage. If Everybody’s Favourite Psycho truly believed any of the bullshit he tells himself about me, he would have crippled me without missing a beat. He would have gone above and beyond to stab me in my heart just as deeply as he insists my unbreakable friendship with Warren plunged the knife in his. Dean could have absolutely shattered me by breaking Kidd’s neck even after I threw in the towel, but instead he yielded when the ref told him to, like a good boy.
{Shea’s smile notably became brighter, as she flips her hair to one side.}
Shea O’Hara: Dean Harper isn’t the mindless weapon he used to be, not anymore, and honestly that kind of personal growth is almost admirable. Now, he’s just a temperamental brat begging for someone, anyone to love him like Mommy and Daddy never did but should have. Ultimately, it is more clear to me now than it ever was before, Rowan MacDonnough and Warren Kidd have been poor emotional surrogates for Angel Blake and Violet Harper in Dean’s life and in their own way they’ve left him much more devastated than he’s willing to admit to anyone, even himself. It’s quite sad really, but I refuse to feel sorry for an utter bisexual disaster like him, especially after everything he’s ever done to hurt my two besties, Viv and Warren. I gave as good as I got at Extreme Endurance and it just wasn’t good enough, and I have to accept that just as he has to accept that his all wasn’t good enough to keep his marriage alive for more than a couple of years. Sure, it sucks to admit, but that’s just how life goes sometimes, especially in the pro wrestling business.
{Shea O’Hara quite deliberately holds her head up high.}
Shea O’Hara: As disappointed as I am with the official result of my match against Harper nine nights ago, I can’t and won’t be disappointed in myself or my overall performance at Extreme Endurance. I more than held my own against the four time Men’s World Champion in the most brutal match of my entire career. Mentally and physically I matched him blow for blow and move for move. He couldn’t break me in the ring, and in the end it came down to emotional unpredictability. The difference between winning and losing came down to a series of wildly emotional responses from Dean, Warren and myself, like. I have to believe that the result would’ve been different if Warren hadn’t taken it upon himself to try and stop his ex-husband when he did. Seeing me bleed was too much for him just as being directly responsible for the end of my best friend was too much for me. I couldn’t take the chance. I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself…
{Shea pauses and her smile slowly fades as she considers the sombre possibility of everything that could’ve been had she not quit the match when she did.}
Shea O’Hara: Once again, not for the first time in my career, and honestly, probably not the last either, I had to sacrifice, for something greater than my own personal ambition and desire. I had to give in for the greater good, and whilst that might have all worked out for Dean Harper in the end, I promise it will not be that easy for Charlotte Shimizu. If I can survive the man who at one point in his life had no damn conscience, I figure I’m more than prepared for the very best the woman with no damn brakes could possibly throw at me. The all time greatest of the men’s division couldn’t outperform me at Extreme Endurance, so it’s gonna take something pretty feckin’ special from the latest sensation in the women’s division to keep her privileged position safe from someone as tenacious as she is experienced, like me.
{Shea rhythmically drummed the side of her guitar with her fingers as she speaks.}
Shea O’Hara: Do you really have it in you to do all that you need to to keep me from my second run at the top of this company, Charlie? Do you have it in you to stop me from joining the very exclusive club of multiple time Women’s World Champions in the Imperial Wrestling Federation? See, most of our colleagues don’t like to admit this, but anybody can win that title once. Anybody can pull off a huge upset once in a while in this business, that’s just the nature of the beast. Names like Fiona McFly and Caroline Machado have held the Women’s World Championship not necessarily ‘cause they were the best, but rather because circumstances beyond their control meant they found themselves in the right place at the right time. I know some of our fans and even some of the women we share the locker room with backstage think that you yourself just so happened to be in the right place at the right time to take full advantage of Jennie Fenix’s unfortunately timed injury, but in trying to discredit you they wilfully ignore the fact that you’re a former Iron Maiden and a former Heiress, in the same feckin’ year, like.
{Shea smiles, genuinely.}
Shea O’Hara: So from where I’m sitting right now, you’ve more than earned the right to call yourself the best women’s wrestler in the world today, I’m not looking to take that away from you. I won’t discount the destination just ‘cause you were forced to take a less than ideal road to get there. The fact is, it really doesn’t matter if I like it, you’ve made it to where I want to be again. I have to respect that, and so whilst I won’t ever discredit your incredible physical ability in between the ropes, I will absolutely take issue with your character outside them.
{Shea stops tapping her guitar suddenly.}
Shea O’Hara: Y’see Charlie, whilst I may never have much to ever thank Dean Harper for, I suppose I should be at least a little grateful that he sent Warren to be checked out by IWF doctors, ‘cause whilst Chen was patching him up in front of me, I had all the free time I needed to catch up on your little interview with Maria Iniesta. And I really wish I could say that any of your utterly abysmal takes on our situation surprised me, but they really didn’t. I really hoped you’d have more to your case against me than “I strongly disagree with Shea.” Well, no shit you disagree. This is pro wrestling, this entire business is predicated on all of us making boat loads of money every time we disagree with each other, especially violently. By your own conceit, Charlie, you haven’t thought much about me or our friendship in the last few months, and you still want to blame me for turning on you when I did?
{Shea takes a deep breath and shakes her head, decisively.}
Shea O’Hara: Really? Only your most tragically codependent friends and most idiotic fans would consider me to be the bad guy here. Only utter morons would continue to blame me for cutting a friend out of my life who by her own admission hasn’t considered my place in her life for months now. I may never drink their founder’s bath water like some people, but I know there are still people in The Murder who genuinely do care and still think rather highly of me as a person and a friend. Higher than any of you bitches in the Birds Of Prey did at any rate. I may never be invited to Sunday dinner with the Madroxes, but I know there’s still a baseline professional respect there between April and Brook and myself. Viv is my bestie of course, but like even my newest friend Mai was so inspired and outraged by what Dean Harper did to me in our match over a week ago that she took it upon herself to march out there earlier tonight and challenge Dean to a First Blood Match. That’s right, Mai was so pissed off with what he did to me, her friend, that Everstone is now out for Harper’s blood, literally. If that’s not true friendship Charlie, I don’t know what is. I hope you’ll be watching that match as closely as I will. With any luck, you might just learn something pretty feckin’ important…
------------------------------- MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH Charlotte Shimizu vs. Caroline Machado -------------------------------
Caroline starts strong, relying on her MMA background to keep Charlotte grounded. She throws quick jabs and goes for early grapples, trying to prevent Charlotte from getting airborne. Charlotte, being elusive, counters with quick dodges and leg kicks, testing Caroline’s defenses.
Middle of the Match: Charlotte eventually finds her rhythm and starts using the ropes to gain momentum, launching herself into quick offensive moves like springboard dropkicks and hurricanranas. Caroline, unfazed by the aerial onslaught, responds with precise counter-strikes and a few submission holds to wear Charlotte down.
The turning point comes when Charlotte manages to escape a particularly dangerous armbar from Caroline, rolling toward the ropes. As Caroline tries to capitalize, Charlotte catches her with a sudden tilt-a-whirl headscissors, sending Caroline into the corner. Charlotte then seizes the opportunity and climbs to the top rope.
With the crowd on their feet, Charlotte launches from the top rope, delivering her signature Dustbowl Typhoon onto Caroline. The impact leaves Caroline stunned long enough for Charlotte to secure the pinfall victory.
