An old wrestling ring was set up in the tiny garage-turned-wrestling school. Gregor Winter and a large man with more than a touch of gray in his beard stood in the middle ring surrounded by a group of wide-eyed young athletes. The head of The MOD looks them over carefully before starting to speak. “Welcome everyone to the very first session of The MOD Wrestling Academy. Each of you has been chosen for your athletic prowess and your unwavering belief in The MOD System. You should be proud of yourselves for having been selected from some very impressive candidates but do not think that just because you’re standing inside this ring means you have a spot on Team MOD. This is only the first step in a long journey, one that most of you will never see the end of. Good luck and I look forward to seeing some of you on the other side.”
“My name is “Big Daddy” Dave Kopy.” The gray-bearded man steps forward. “I’ve been hired by Mr. Winter to teach you the fundamentals of being a professional wrestler. This first part of your training I will take four weeks, and every Friday I will cut any of you who are not up to snuff.”
“I’ll check back in a few days to see how you are doing,” Winter says before climbing out of the ring and walking out of the gym.
Just outside the door, a driver is waiting to open the door on a Cadillac Escalade for ‘The Modern Day Viking.’ “Everything go well, Mr. Winter?”
“I hope so Jonathan.”
“Are you any of them worth a shit,” Roxxi Redd asks before Gregor has even had a chance to sit down. “We need to get this army together ASAP!”
“Please relax, Roxxi.” Gregor sat in one of the captain’s chairs and picked up a file from the other. “The world has no clue what is about to happen, so we are in no hurry.”
“How do they look,” Itami wakes from a nap to ask.
“They are all athletes, but only a couple look like fighters. My guess is that maybe five of them will make it past all four weeks.”
“Then what’s the plan,” the Japanese superstar asks.
“We recruit more athletic members to come and train with Dave, while the survivors move on to intermediate training, which all three of us will help Dave with when we have the free time.”
“So we aren’t going back to The Island,” Roxxi asks.
“No. We are doing work far too important to be hiding away on some tropical island, while my followers struggle. Today is a brand new day for The MOD, and there are a whole lot of people out there that need our help to become the best versions of themselves possible.”

Gregor Winter: There was a time not long ago when I thought I would never be a part of the wrestling industry again, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. On the one hand I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that I would be a professional wrestler because the business had never even been on my radar. I mean, I was about to fly back to Alaska to work on my family’s homestead when a choice meeting changed everything.
On the other hand, I had reached a point where I struggled to see myself as being anything other than a professional wrestler. The business was running through my veins I just didn’t realize it until the first time I stepped inside of the ring. That was all taken from me, but it was another chance meeting that changed everything again. That meeting was with Itami and together we are working to take the sport of professional wrestling by storm.
There have been more than a few setbacks along the way, but we are still here fighting to be the best possible role models to the people out there with real problems in their lives. Things aren’t always going to be perfect, but by working hard and sticking to The MOD System there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel.
Amber Vogel, you are talented enough that I would happily offer you a spot on Team MOD, but I know the people that you surrounded yourself with well enough to know that you would never choose to walk a different path. That’s a shame because right now you are losing far more matches than you are winning, and I don’t foresee that changing any time soon.
The good news, Amber, is that on Tuesday night Itami will show you the error of your ways. She will show you just how far you could come if you would just cast away your old ways and accept The MOD System. This week on Coliseum ‘Lady Pain’ will show you the light Amber, unfortunately for you it will be a freight train coming your way.
