The scene opens up on a special podium that has been set up on the stage of the show, IWF’s Yearly Awards airing for the first time as a pre-show to the 23rd of December 2013 edition of Sacrifice. On the stage stand Terri Morasco and Vasco Dias, looking exceptionally smart.
Terri Morasco: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the first ever edition of IWF’s Yearly Awards!
Vasco Dias: That’s right boys and girls, you have all been voting for your favourite or in some cases most hated superstars and we’re here to give you the winners!
Terri Morasco: To get the ball started we have an award that isn’t to be collected by any superstar, but we’ll kick it off…
Vasco Dias: This years winner of show of the year is the 18th of November edition of Monday Night Sacrifice!
Terri Morasco: I’m sure most of you remember that fateful night was the night that Xavier Cross was crucified by Spike Kane and The Empire!
Vasco Dias: Well that’s an intense way to start the show!
Terri Morasco: Next up we have a candidate that could cause some tension as arguably one of the biggest tag teams in IWF’s history go to war later tonight.
Vasco Dias: That’s right guys, it’s time for tag team of the year!
Terri Morasco: The candidates are: Criminal Intent, Defenders of the Realm, HonorBound, and InFamous!
Vasco Dias: And with a whopping 71% of the votes, the winners are: INFAMOUS!
The tron flickers to life showing events from InFamous’ reign in IWF, the build up to their tag title win, defences and of course the inevitable demise. When the screen returns to normal Spike Kane and Rob Diamond are standing at the podium picking up an award e4ach.
Rob Diamond: This one is gonna be hard for me. When I came to iwf all I wanted to do was run a tag team with my best buddy Spike. I didn't expect things to go the way they did with us and it sucks but I did truly enjoy our run together. It was a dream come true and I'm truly grateful all you fans out there had as much fun watching us as I had entertaining you. Thank you.
Spike Kane: It’s no secret that I really enjoyed my time teaming with Rob. We had a blast, and every week we did exactly what we wanted to and exactly what we said we would. The only reason I came to IWF was to team up with Rob because we’d never done so properly. Rob was my best friend, and he was family…..this means more to me than you guys could ever expect. Thank you.

Terri Morasco: Despite the fact that those to men want to tear each other apart it is great to see their work being acknowledged.
Vasco Dias: That’s true, InFamous completely dominated the tag team division.
Terri Morasco: Up next we have the award for most shocking moment of 2013! Once again this award has no one person coming to collect it.

Spike Kane: You know, making stories is what this business is about. Trying to get you guys to cheer us or to boo us. We live for that reaction, Rob and I have gone out there week after week to try and get the best reaction from you guys and sometimes we let things get out of hand. This past few months with Rob has never failed to get that reaction from you guys, and it was been intense…..so thank you I guess, for giving us what we live for, that reaction.
Rob Diamond: Now this is awkward for me. I know I've given a lot of speeches tonight about ending careers and taking what's rightfully mine but right here right now iwf wants me to thank the fans for voting my feud with Spike as the feud of the year. Vasco Dias: Let’s jump right in here with the next award. Another one that goes to the the guys in the back and no specific winner it’s time for the Match of the Year award!
Terri Morasco: And the winner, is probably the most dangerous match ever invented…..for a champion that is, the Extinction Event!
Vasco Dias: The match that saw every singles championship on the line with a team of competitors against a team of champions, IWF’s inaugaral match had quite a few surprises.
The tron flashes showing clips from the match itself, including Rob Diamond being eliminated first, Amber Richards turning on her team, and the confusing ending of Spike and Davey drawing.
Terri Morasco: Now we take a trip to our Diamonds Division to give the award for “Diamond in the Rough” the most improved Diamond of the year!
Vasco Dias: And the nominees are: Avery McCullen, Ashley Mastrelango, Ana Valentine, and Amber Richards….wow, they all begin with A, what are the chances?
Terri Morasco: And the winner iiiiiiiiis…..ASHLEY MASTRALENGO!
The popular Journey song “Don’t Stop Believing” hits as Ashley walks out and accepts the award nodding appreciatively. She holds it in the air with a huge smile before giving her acceptance speech.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Well it has been quite the year hasn’t it? I went from training under Mike Laszlo and losing the Main Event of the first ever Sacrifice to winning the Ruby Title and becoming the longest champion in history to date. Not bad if you ask me. Anyway, I’d like to thank all of you as there were many acceptable choices who could have won this award…but you chose me. I love you guys!

Vasco Dias: I don’t think she’s the longest reigning Champion to date…...is she?
Vasco Dias: Mothing swiftly on, it’s time for the Breakout Star of the Year Award.
Terri Morasco: The mens version of the previous award, the nominees are; Eddie Black, Mason St. Croix, Jackhammer, Joe Everyman, Alex Jones, Davey Ortega, and Mike Machado.
Vasco Dias: Wow, that’s a lot to choose from….but the winner with 62% of the votes is…..MASON ST. CROIX!
The tron shows flashes of Mason’s career in IWF so far. His great streak, winning the Heavyweight title in the Extinction Event and standing toe to toe with everyone he’s come across. When the screen flashes back Mason is at the podium.
Mason St. Croix: Wow, I’m completely overwhelmed by this. Outside the ring my life is a mess, but except for a few recent stumbles 2013 has been a hell of a year in a profession that I originally rejected. I want to thank all of you for all the support and for being behind me every step of the way. You all and this **holds up the award** have made me realize that I am indeed a wrestler. I hope to make 2014 as big as 2013 was and to continue my reign as IWF Heavyweight Champion, thank you!

Spike Kane: You know, it takes a lot for a company to put their trust in people, especially a company so young. I’ve always been a fan of the addage that a hero can only be as good as their villain. I’ve thrived off of being the villain to many a person’s hero persona, but this time in IWF the brass much like they did in nCw so long ago placed their faith in me to help carry this company forward after having people drop the ball before them. I’m so happy that I have been given the chance to do that, given the chance to prove myself to you all, and to get the reaction that you give me week in and week out….thank you….and oh yeah….ALL HAIL!

There’s a path of destruction and broken bodies lying at the feet of Spike Kane and just like numerous people have told me, I did nothing to stop it. I may have been a hero in my previous job and I was proud to be called a hero then but I’m no hero anymore. This award should go to someone like Xavier Cross, Alex Jones, or Rob Diamond, they’re the real heroes for standing toe to toe with Spike and suffering with their careers. I appreciate the gesture and thank you for your support but I can’t accept this.

Spike Kane: This award, wow, I never expected to get this at all. I know a lot of people think that I’m a bit harsh when I cut a promo, that I sometimes go past the overlying issues that the promo is about and attack the people behind them, dig deep and find a persons flaws and exploit them…..and I’m not going to argue that I do. I learned early on in this business that when people stand opposite you that you have to be prepared to cut them to the bone with your words as well as your firsts. So I’m incredibly grateful to pick this award up, and I hope I continue to entertain you into the next year.
Terri Morasco: This is it now the award I’ve been looking forward to the most.

Roberto Verona: As I’m sure you are all aware, Jessica is unable to attend tonight to collect her awards, but I would like to collect this on her behalf. Jessica came to IWF to have fun, to do what she loves to do and spread that to the lot of you. She has shown our Diamonds division how a champion should act, and she has earned the respect of countless peers. She would thank you so much for this award, but I would like to thank you for acknowledging her enormous effort and giving her an award I feel she rightfully deserves, thank you.
Terri Morasco: Such powerful words coming from Mr Verona there.
Vasco Dias: It’s a shame Jess was unable to be here, but…..she deserves the award.
Terri Morasco: Now we move onto the final award of the night, the Superstar of the Year award.
Vasco Dias: That’s right, IWF has had no shortage of superstars who would be elligable for this award, some amazing feats and showings from some great men from the crusierweight all the to the man of steel division.
Terri Morasco: And the votes are…...in fifth place, Joe Everyman and Lex Sense.
Vasco Dias: In fourth place is the currently injured Alex Jones.
Terri Morasco: In third place is the currently absent Man of Steel titan….Ryan Blade.
Vasco Dias: In second place is one half of InFamous, and one of the greatest performers in IWF’s short history, Rob Diamond!

Spike Kane: I can’t believe that you chose me for this award. After the past year that I’ve had, I’m a little in awe myself of what I….what we here in IWF have been able to do. I remember when nCw closed it’s doors and I felt a bit bitter that I would never be remembered as a great in nCw because everything I did was overshadowed by my friend Lance Ryan. In my mind I was always considered second place and not on the same level as Lance. So when I came here to IWF, I vowed to make an impact, I wanted to be remembered for all time so I worked harder than ever before. Rob and I took the tag team championships and the division by storm. Nobody could stop us, and had we not split up, we’d probably still be champions. Then I got the chance to step up and become the Imperial Champion and I saw the chance flashing infront of me, to become the legend that this company needed. I could be to IWF what Lance Ryan was to nCw…...it’s all I ever wanted, to be respected, to be acknowledsged as a great, and to leave a lasting legacy. This award means more to me than I could ever put into words, so people of IWF, I thank you with all of my heart.
Vasco Dias: Emotional words from Spike there as he picks up yet another award.
Terri Morasco: Though some might not be happy with the result both Spike ands Jessica deserved their awards quite clearly with everything they’ve done this year.

Spike Kane: You know, it takes a lot for a company to put their trust in people, especially a company so young. I’ve always been a fan of the addage that a hero can only be as good as their villain. I’ve thrived off of being the villain to many a person’s hero persona, but this time in IWF the brass much like they did in nCw so long ago placed their faith in me to help carry this company forward after having people drop the ball before them. I’m so happy that I have been given the chance to do that, given the chance to prove myself to you all, and to get the reaction that you give me week in and week out….thank you….and oh yeah….ALL HAIL!

The tron comes to life for Mason for the second time tonight, once again showcasing his career so far. Mason walks out looking a little confused.
Mason St. Croix: I….I’m kinda speechless guys. I was glad to accept the award you gave me earlier tonight because I feel like I earned that one but I don’t deserve this. There’s a path of destruction and broken bodies lying at the feet of Spike Kane and just like numerous people have told me, I did nothing to stop it. I may have been a hero in my previous job and I was proud to be called a hero then but I’m no hero anymore. This award should go to someone like Xavier Cross, Alex Jones, or Rob Diamond, they’re the real heroes for standing toe to toe with Spike and suffering with their careers. I appreciate the gesture and thank you for your support but I can’t accept this.

Hail to the King plays again as the tron plays clips of some of Spike’s scathing promos both in and out of the ring. Spike walks out again with a big grin on his face.
Spike Kane: This award, wow, I never expected to get this at all. I know a lot of people think that I’m a bit harsh when I cut a promo, that I sometimes go past the overlying issues that the promo is about and attack the people behind them, dig deep and find a persons flaws and exploit them…..and I’m not going to argue that I do. I learned early on in this business that when people stand opposite you that you have to be prepared to cut them to the bone with your words as well as your firsts. So I’m incredibly grateful to pick this award up, and I hope I continue to entertain you into the next year.

The crowd go nuts for Jess as more clips of her amazing run are played on the screen showing different shots of her cosplaying, wrestling, posing with the belt, and some more wrestling, before the screen flashes and we see Roberto Verona on the stage.
Roberto Verona: As I’m sure you are all aware, Jessica is unable to attend tonight to collect her awards, but I would like to collect this on her behalf. Jessica came to IWF to have fun, to do what she loves to do and spread that to the lot of you. She has shown our Diamonds division how a champion should act, and she has earned the respect of countless peers. She would thank you so much for this award, but I would like to thank you for acknowledging her enormous effort and giving her an award I feel she rightfully deserves, thank you.
Terri Morasco: Such powerful words coming from Mr Verona there.
Vasco Dias: It’s a shame Jess was unable to be here, but…..she deserves the award.
DIAMOND OF THE YEAR - JESSICA REED
Terri Morasco: Now we move onto the final award of the night, the Superstar of the Year award.
Vasco Dias: That’s right, IWF has had no shortage of superstars who would be elligable for this award, some amazing feats and showings from some great men from the crusierweight all the to the man of steel division.
SUPERSTAR OF THE YEAR
Terri Morasco: And the votes are…...in fifth place, Joe Everyman and Lex Sense.
Vasco Dias: In fourth place is the currently injured Alex Jones.
Terri Morasco: In third place is the currently absent Man of Steel titan….Ryan Blade.
Vasco Dias: In second place is one half of InFamous, and one of the greatest performers in IWF’s short history, Rob Diamond!
Terri Morasco: Which means ladies and gentlemen, our superstar for the year 2013 is none other thaqn the leader of the Empire…..Spike Kane!
Hail to the King blasts once more as pyros explode and confetti falls around the arena, some of the crowd boo but some of them applaud Spike’s contributions to IWF. Spike walks out once more, looking a little upset this time.
Spike Kane: I can’t believe that you chose me for this award. After the past year that I’ve had, I’m a little in awe myself of what I….what we here in IWF have been able to do. I remember when nCw closed it’s doors and I felt a bit bitter that I would never be remembered as a great in nCw because everything I did was overshadowed by my friend Lance Ryan. In my mind I was always considered second place and not on the same level as Lance. So when I came here to IWF, I vowed to make an impact, I wanted to be remembered for all time so I worked harder than ever before. Rob and I took the tag team championships and the division by storm. Nobody could stop us, and had we not split up, we’d probably still be champions. Then I got the chance to step up and become the Imperial Champion and I saw the chance flashing infront of me, to become the legend that this company needed. I could be to IWF what Lance Ryan was to nCw…...it’s all I ever wanted, to be respected, to be acknowledsged as a great, and to leave a lasting legacy. This award means more to me than I could ever put into words, so people of IWF, I thank you with all of my heart.

Vasco Dias: Emotional words from Spike there as he picks up yet another award.
Terri Morasco: Though some might not be happy with the result both Spike ands Jessica deserved their awards quite clearly with everything they’ve done this year.

Being noticed for the work I've done does make me smile and fills me with pride.
