Ladies and gentlemen with IWF's Pay-Per-View continuing the tradition of nCw's Metamorphosis hosting the Dragons Den, a creation invented by the mind of Spike Kane and soon became a signature match within the company we took the time to dig up a treasure from the inaugural Dragons Den match between Spike Kane and Davey Ortega for the nCw Championship. From the archives of nCw we bring you Spike Kane's promo from that very match.
With IWF's Metamorphosis paying tribute to nCw itself, this rare opportunity of history repeating itself with an outstanding main event several years in the making, the chance to dig up this treasure could not be passed, so we hope you enjoy.

Before corruptions touch fell upon them...The Empire stood tall. The Emperor, and his Warmaster. The chosen son of the Emperor, the man who would fight his battles on behalf of his Emperor, on behalf of the Empire. The rest fell in line, fell in line or felt the brunt of the Empire's wrath, be it the Emperor himself, or his Warmaster.
The scene opens up on Spike Kane standing, topless, his wrists and hands taped up. The camera pans out to show the amazing surroundings we find our World Heavyweight Champion in. One of the most extravagant and beautiful buildings ever created by mankind, a building fit for it's purpose, perhaps the building best suited for a warrior. A warrior of yesterday, today or tomorrow. Spike Kane stands fists clenched in the middle of the Colluseum.
Spike: Raised through brutality...I knew nothing but violence. Afraid to make friends, for fear of what I may have to have done to them where we found out. How a man could get away with such things is beyond the world today. But if you look back into the past, even to ancient times...it becomes almost common practise. To the days of the Gladiators....the days of the Spartans. Trained...forced to become the best they could, else they be thrown away. Cast aside. I stand here now...years after...the best I could ever have been. Further in my career I ever thought I could go. I have become something I never thought I could...something I thought had died. Think back to the times of Sparta...when the three hundred spartans stood against the might of Persia...of all Asia. Heroes. Men who went above and beyond. The best. How close am I to standing amongst them? To be counted in their number?
The Warmaster, The Emperors right hand, had always had a touch of destiny about him. More recently however it had become more apparent that the Emperors Warmaster...had a touch of chaos about him. An aura almost. The Emperor was oblivious, he retired from battle and left his Warmaster to fight his battles for him. At first the Warmaster and his brothers revelled in the glory that was to be theirs in their Emperors stead. Doubts, however surrounded the Warmaster. Why had his Emperor left? Why had he retreated from the battlefield? Why...had he left him in charge of his army? Something did not fit in the Warmasters mind...and he would not rest, until his mind was at ease.
The camera pans around the World Heavyweight Champion as he stands, barefoot in the center of the colluseum. The blood and bones of warriors of old in the sand. Battles fought, Gladiators made, Champions crowned...even Kings humbled. The champion of nCw flexes his muscles, unclenches his fists before clenching them once more.
Spike: I am the face of nCw. The man who has toppled giants from their thrones. Taken over an Empire and forged it anew, brought stability to it's foundations and made it the force it was meant to be. I am the man who has re-shapen wrestling itself, let alone nCw. I brought the xtreme style into the limelight, into the mainstream. I dragged it up the ranks of this business as hundreds opposed me, kicked and screamed as I surpassed them on my way up the ladder. Many looked to me as a brawler, a man who without weapons, was useless, many today still do. Those men will be proven wrong, just as the others have been in the past. I am a pioneer. I am an innovater. Violence is more to me than most people could ever think. I was raised through violence, violence is what I know...it is what I control. I am the kind of man who can take a simple wrestling manouvre and destroy somebody with it, with my own personal touch. I am xtreme incarnate...I am the God of Xtreme...
Godhood? Is that what it was? He would leave his Warmaster and his brethren to fight his battle for him so he could ascend. Become legend....nonsense. The Emperor had brought them into the Empire because he saw them for what they were. Warriors. Fighters. Heroes. Legends in the making, and a God amongst men. The Emperor was not stupid when he recruited his Warmaster. He saw the potential he held, the raw power he commanded. The fear his voice could install in his opponents, and his resume of prowess was not passed unnoticed. The Warmaster grew weary however....and as he lay to recover from his wounds. Chaos reached out to touch him, to claim him. It failed, once again...but this time it had reached out to him and touched him. The Warmaster was tainted with chaos, and now the doubts he had about the Emperor began to fester in his mind.
Spike Kane stands in the center of the Colluseum. He looks up to the stands, the remains of what was once glorious. He circles on the spot, his mind racing with thoughts of what it was like to have been here in it's prime. The nCw World Heavyweight champion bends down to pick up some sand from the floor and lets it run between his fingers before he rubs his hands together. He turns to face the camera, his arms outwards slightly at his sides.
Spike: Sunday Night, at Transgression...myself and Davey Ortega finally step into that ring to face each other. Unlike before however where I would step into the ring beside him, in his shadow, lower than him...no, we still do not step into the ring as equals, because I have far surprassed Davey Ortega. I have done what he failed to do so many times. I destroyed Lance Ryan, I destroyed No Warning Shot...the very reasons as to why The Empire was created. Taking The Empire from Davey Ortega by force, was the best thing that ever happened to Davey, and it was the best thing that ever happened to nCw. It threw things in the air, it turned things upside down and made people stop and think .Something people don't do all too often in this industry, but they did. They did, and they saw me. They saw what I was, and what I would become. I stand above him now, the nCw World Heavyweight Champion, Former National Champion. Davey finally got gold to his name, only to have it snatched away from him by my hands. That is the power I've come to know. What I can do....I can destroy Davey Ortega. I put him on a pedastool when I joined the nCw, when he recruited me to The Empire. I believed him untouchable. How wrong could a man possibly be? People say I'm corrupt....that I took over the Empire because corruption set in...I call them liars, I say it is Davey who was corrupt from the beginning. Using myself and others to further propel himself to Legend status...well....not on my watch...
The Warmaster had listened to the voices. He had heard them tell of the Emperors treachery. How he had used and abused those who loved him most dearly. Those who would lay down their lives in his named. At first the Warmaster could not bear it, knowing of his close friends betrayal almost ruined his mind. His beautiful intelligent mind. For days on end he locked himself away, he steeled himself preparing for what was to come. The inevitable. The Warmaster would do what was right by The Empire, he would take back what he and his brothers had fought for. The Emperor would pay for his misguidance, for his lies....and for his betrayal. The Warmaster rallied his brothers, new and old. He told them of such treachery and how it would be dealt with. In unision they agreed, the cried out for their Warmaster....he would become the new Emperor. They escorted the Emperor, under false pretences that they were to guard him...but to the Emperors surprise...they were to be his demise. A last look of sadness came across the Emperor...Ortega, as he looked into his close friend, his confidant, his right hand man, his Warmasters Eyes....into Spike Kane's eyes...and saw that chaos had consumed him...before he fell by his hand.
Now Spike Kane, the nCw World Heavyweight Champion stands in the center once more as he looks around, a smile creeps across his face. He looks to the camera.
Spike: Sometimes I believe myself born of the wrong decade, the wrong century. I feel I belong in a time where a man was judged by how well he could fight, by who he could beat, and by how he did it. War back then had some sense of honour. Today...honour barely exists...but it is us. The wrestlers of the world...the modern day Gladiators, who take up a battle of our own, just like here...we do it for entertainment...but that is merely on the surface. Down inside us we do it for our own personal reasons. Greed. Hunger. Passion. Hatred. Love. Anger. We are warriors, wether accepted or not...we go to war wether at home or abroad. We are the men who shape our own futures....and the futures of those we defeat. Davey Ortega...I have shaped mine. I have become the nCw World Heavyweight Champion. I am one step closer to become an nCw Hall of Famer, a Legend....something you tried to use me to become. I slew you from your pedastool Davey....and I've allowed you to come this far for one reason...for te final showdown, because I have already shaped your future Davey Ortega...and it is not a bright one indeed....Sunday Night, at Metamorphosis...in my home, the Dragon's Den...you will be illuminated!
The Warmaster....consumed by chaos, had set his sights on destroying the Emperor. On destroying everything the Emperor stood for, and taking it all for himself. Chaos, greed, lust...he had fallen to it all...the time had come, the Spike Kane Heresy had arrived and plunged the nCw into the deepest depths of war. Metamorphosis will be the final showdown....the fate of nCw hangs in the balance...one evil greater than another...but who will prosper? Who will survive?
