Trent Helms: So Here we are the first ever, NCW Showcase match of the week, as chosen by the members of the IWF Community, due to a series of random picks, and by me is the man, who wrestled in this said match, Andrew Jacobsen.
Andrew Jacobsen: Good to be here, Trent. Thanks for having me.
Trent Helms: Now if I am right, This was the first time, You faced the man known as Falcon, and it seemed later on, the two of you, were once after the same thing, thru that happened much later on.
Andrew Jacobsen: Yeah. Hard to believe six months into my career I was wrestling a guy like Falcon. It was a lot of pressure for sure.
{Smoke filters up from the exit to the back. The song begins, blasting right out of the gate. Falcon emerges from the smoke as the dual guitars blast sonic waves into the arena. He runs to the left on the stage, throwing his hands up, urging the crowd to their feet. He runs back to the right, feeling the energy and feeding off it. More gestures, the crowd is near frenzied by this point. He runs back to the center, then down the ramp. Sliding nimbly into the ring, moving to the corner and leaping from the canvas to the top turnbuckle. He drops down, moving to the ropes on no particular side, and standing on them, half on the bottom, half on the middle, arm raised in the devil horns. He turns from the ropes, getting ready for the match.}
Trent Helms: Wow, the crowd sure loved Falcon back then, I guess that was before he had his heart broken by Zelda Knite and proceeded to punch her in the face.
Andrew Jacobsen: Love him or hate him, the man always got a reaction.
Trent Helms: Right you are.
An air raid siren splits the air, followed by the pounding opening riff of Disturbed's "Indestructible". Andrew Jacobsen strides out onto the stage, followed by his manager, Emma Danielson. He looks around at the fans, absorbing the atmosphere. Andrew begins walking down the ramp with Emma, pyro flares going off on either side of him as he makes his way to the ring. He slides in, jumping onto the second turnbuckle. He poses for the crowd, a broad smile on his face. Andrew jumps down and nods to Emma, who goes to sit over by the timekeeper. Andrew then awaits the bell.
Andrew Jacobsen: Wow, it's hard to believe this was only three years ago. Feels like a lifetime.
Trent Helms: Yeah, and you went on to have quite the successful career my friend, I mean Triple Crown winner, X-Division Champion, and 2010 Most Adoreable Male Award, I mean you look so young there.
Andrew Jacobsen: This business takes a lot out of you. You know that more than most.
( Both men are right up and this time Falcon begins to fire away with knife edge chops that back Jacobsen into the corner. Falcon hits a spinning heel kick that knocks AJ senseless for a moment and follows it up with a step eznugirir. AJ is totally out of it as he throws a wild right arm that totally misses it's mark and instead Falcon kicks him hard in the gut then goes for the monkey flip sending AJ onto his back. Falcon is right up, he climbs out onto the apron then goes for a spring board 450 splash back into the ring but AJ GETS THE KNEES UP! )
Trent Helms: Yeah I do, and I think Kyle knows it too, hard to believe how well he moved for so long, besides getting closer to 40.
Andrew Jacobsen: It's not just guys who wrestle your style, either. I remember my knees killing me for three days after that 450.
Trent Helms: Yeah, I feel that way for like a month after the 630, Which is why, I mostly use the Bioshock, Plus watching this match with you, is bringing up a memory.
Andrew Jacobsen: Oh yeah?
Trent Helms: Like the only time, the three of us ever teamed together, you remember that night, don't you?
Andrew Jacobsen: Oh yeah, I remember.
Trent Helms: I'm sure Charlie Velez remembers it too, whereever he is, We miss you Charlie
( AJ gets up off the mat before Falcon does, but the bird man isn't far behind, however AJ is up first and grabs Falcon for a belly to belly suplex, slamming him hard onto the mat. Falcon grips at his back and rolls onto his stomach where AJ drops an elbow across Falcon's back, from there AJ begins to slam his elbow repeatedly into Falcon's mid back, about five times before he gets up, hits the ropes and drops another hard elbow across Falcon's spine. )
Andrew Jacobsen: There's nothing more dangerous than letting a man like Falcon have breathing room. I remember that running through my mind: you have to keep him grounded, you have to keep him immobile. It was like a survival mantra.
Trent Helms: Yeah it was a good move, You don't want the bird to go airbourne, Birds generally carry alot of diseases, espically ones who been with Ayla St. James, as a Canadian, I know how we are.
Andrew Jacobsen: Ah, come on. Ayla's a good person. I just fear for Xavier Cross's long-term health, myself.
Trent Helms: I do too, Do you think she inherited it from Gibford? Do we need to worry about Jenny Williams, I mean her nickname is Jenny from The Block, and we know how girls get them nicknames.
Andrew Jacobsen: All I know is that being around those women is hazardous to your health.
( Jacobsen helps Falcon up then whips him hard into the nearest corner turnbuckle. Jacobsen runs right in after him and turns slamming a back elbow into Falcon's face, then turns grabs Falcon, pulls him out of the corner, then with all the upper body strength he has, he shoves Falcon right back into the corner, his back arching in pain, but AJ isn't done as he runs right in with a gut busting spear, doubling Falcon over, but he still isn't done because from the spear position he clutches Falcon around the waist and hits an over head belly to belly suplex bridged into a pin. ) One.. Two.. Three?
Trent Helms: Totally throught you had it right there man.
Andrew Jacobsen: So did I. I was just throwing everything I could at him.
Trent Helms: Yeah, I know first hand, how hard it is to keep Falcon down, Gjenrei is a entirely different story.
( Jacobsen slaps the mat as he stands up. Falcon is trying to push himself up but Jacobsen grabs him by the hair and hits the BOREALIS! AJ isn't finished, he heads to the top rope now and signals for something crazy. HE GOES FOR THE TIMBER SAULT! AND NAILS IT! )
Trent Helms: You stealing my moves now?
Andrew Jacobsen: You'll notice I don't use that one anymore.
Trent Helms: Neither do I to be honest, well except to the outside, and we all seen the fruits of what happens when I do a Moonsault to the outside.
One... Two... Thr KICK OUT!
Trent Helms: That son of a bitch is resilence.
Andrew Jacobsen: You damn near had to shoot him to keep him down for three.
( AJ grabs Falcon by the head and forcibly helps him to his feet. He whips Falcon hard into the ropes, NO! Falcon springboards off the ropes with a back flip DDT ON JACOBSEN! Falcon rolls to his feet, not quite steady and definitely feeling some back pain as AJ gets up. AJ turns and goes for a wicked clothes line but Falcon ducks underneath it and PELE KICK! Falcon goes for the cover. )
Trent Helms: You give Kyle, a inch, and he kicks you in the head, that's how this business works.
Andrew Jacobsen: It'd be one thing if he just took punishment well, but he kicks like a mule.
Trent Helms: I have to ask you, who kicked you the hardest in your career?
Andrew Jacobsen: Either Steve Awesome or Ander Carvetti. Honorable mention to Roberto Verona.
Trent Helms: Mine is Kelly Fox.
Andrew Jacobsen: Really?
Trent Helms: She kicked me Emotionally in the soul.
Andrew Jacobsen: You tortured man.
( Falcon staggers to his feet, he's still in allot of pain, where as AJ seems pretty ok. Falcon comes at AJ and goes for a hip toss, but AJ blocks it and elbows Falcon in the face and turns for LIGHTS OUT! Falcon is down again and AJ covers. )
Andrew Jacobsen: It's weird how you use some moves for ages and, out of nowhere, you figure out how to hit just that much bit harder with them.
Trent Helms: Yeah, I mean it won you the NCW Championship.
Andrew Jacobsen: Something Xander probably still resents.
One.. Two.. KICK OUT!
Trent Helms: Really?
Andrew Jacobsen: Like you said, he's resilient. And in my defense, I was young. I didn't have all the same snap to my offense I've got now.
( Jacobsen is up, he's starting to get the groove back and he peels Falcon off the mat and sets up for the Hat Trick. However on the first German Falcon rolls through to his feet and instead he German suplexs Andrew Jacobsen, Falcon rolls him over and hits another German, he rolls him over a third time and completes Andrew Jacobsen's own trade mark move against him, THE HAT TRICK! Falcon bridges on the last one. )
Trent Helms: As someone who steals people moves all the time, how did it make you feel, him using your own Suplexes against you?
Andrew Jacobsen: It was a shock. I didn't know if he had that kind of strength in him, especially after I'd worked over his back like that.
Trent Helms: You just come to never know what is coming next, One minute you're in control, the next some guy claims to be from another planet, and the next, a man with a mustache that would make Burt Reynolds jealous, Appears.
Andrew Jacobsen: I don't remember Machado being here...
Trent Helms: Clearly I was talking about Honcho.
Are you saying, Machado Mustache is better then Honcho?
Andrew Jacobsen: No, of course not. I would never say that.
Trent Helms: I wonder how you would look with a mustache.
Andrew Jacobsen: It'd be weird.
Trent Helms: Speaking of Mustaches, How is Emma?
Andrew Jacobsen: To hell with you, Helms.
Trent Helms: You know I'm just messing with you, I'm getting paid to say that, I was also supposed to reference Chimachungas too, but I don't know how to fit it in.
( Both men are up and Falcon goes for another kick but AJ blocks the kick and hits a forearm shot into Falcon's face that drives him back. Andrew runs by him and hits the ropes, Falcon turns and AJ cuts him in half with the BODY CHECK! But AJ isn't done as he helps Falcon up, rips him into the air for the ICE BREAKER!!!! But Falcon turns it into a hurricanrana! Falcon rolls to his feet and hits the ropes for a springboard LIONSULT! Falcon is right up and runs up the ropes for a DIVING MOONSULT! The fans are going wild as Falcon seems to have his second wind and as AJ stands up, Falcon plasters him with a spinning heel kick. )
Trent Helms: The Chimachunga Heel Kick!!!!
Andrew Jacobsen: A delightful name for an unpleasant experience.
Trent Helms: You know Falcon now that I think of it, is much like a Chimachunga
Andrew Jacobsen: 100% tasty Mexican goodness?
Trent Helms: Close Enough, going to say, Hard shell outside, gooey stuff inside.
( Falcon climbs up the ropes, he lines up his shot and comes off the top with the SWANTON BOMB!!!! Falcon lands it to the roar of the crowd and curls up AJ's legs for the pin, One.......Two.......Three!
Andrew Jacobsen: That Swanton Bomb's like getting hit by a truck. Joe Everyman may be larger than Falcon, but nobody does it better.
Trent Helms: Yeah, it was a tough defeat to Falcon, but then again, you were like 3 months into your career, how much did you learn about yourself from this match?
Andrew Jacobsen: I actually learned a lot. I realized that even if you're a natural athlete, there's just some things you can't overcome without experience.
Trent Helms: I think I'm going to cut this match off right here, Do we really want to see, a segment that involves Jimmy Zane?
Andrew Jacobsen: No, and I certainly don't want a replay of Kristoff Bates sticking me with the Briefcase from Hell.
Trent Helms: Yeah, that Bates, always sticking people with things.
Andrew Jacobsen: Subtle.
Trent Helms: Anyways, Andrew, I thank you for your time, and for flying up to Toronto to do this commentary, before we part, in your opinion, what match would you like to see showcased next week?
Andrew Jacobsen: I'd love to see a Xavier Williams match. Black Jesus doesn't get enough love, in my opinion, and it'd be great to see him get a bit of the spotlight.
Trent Helms: You can never go wrong with a four-time X-Division Champion, so before we go off into the sunset, is there anything you like to say?
Andrew Jacobsen: Just to thank the folks at home for watching and to promise them that big things are coming in IWF. Thanks for having me, Trent.
Trent Helms: Not a problem, and until Monday, because Trent Helms doesn't do House shows, I'm Trent Helms, and a big thank you to my guest Andrew Jacobsen, We will see you Monday, and tune into IWFwrestling.com next week as we dig into the past of NCW, Goodnight Primates.
