“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
-From an Irish Headstone-
-From an Irish Headstone-
*The camera falls on the interior of the Du Lac Manor. The very same room, the very same walls we saw during his first appearance. The fireplace embers glow gently in the dark of the room as the curtains ruffle lightly in the draftiness of the old house. The heavy curtains drawn around the bed block out the remaining light of the morning sun as Seph and Maria lay silently in the bed. Seph tosses and turns a bit unrested, unwell, sweat forming on him as he sleeps. A flash appears on the screen the night sky, rain, lightning flashes as the voice over continues from the dark.*
Not many
know this
but I dream
the exact same dream
every night.
I see a woman in white
with hair black as midnight.
falls.
She falls forever.
She falls so far and long
that I feel like she is flying.
cruelly reminds me.
I see her laying there.
My lost love...
my one...
my only...
know this
but I dream
the exact same dream
every night.
I see a woman in white
with hair black as midnight.
*A woman with a beautiful flowing white nightgown and long flowing black hair appears on screen in slow motion tumbling in the night air and rain.*
She tumbles, turns,falls.
She falls forever.
She falls so far and long
that I feel like she is flying.
*The figure moves across the screen and the camera tumbles with her in an aerial freeshot. Moving like an elegant dance upon the winds but then the ground it's harsh inflection striking as the girls body greets it with such force that even in slow motion one can tell that she is quite dead.*
Then the groundcruelly reminds me.
I see her laying there.
My lost love...
my one...
my only...
*Suddenly he shoots up in bed. A cold sweat all over him. Fangs out, eyes wide and wild. His face one of panic, shock, surprise but most of all pain.*
...my fallen angel.*The camera cuts to Seph face down hair falling in his face in the dim light of morning. He is silent just staring at a spot in the floor. Abel and Maria stand nearby with arms folded watching him. He says nothing his head down, his eyes empty. He makes not a sound. Not a growl. Not a whisper. He just stares with empty hollow eyes at the cold wooden planks that reflect his image. Abel and maria look at each other as Abel just shrugs slightly shaking his head. Maria turns back her face locked in uneasiness and concern. At length as they stand Maria's eyes turn to Seph then nervously to Abel as Abel motions toward the silent figure with both hands. Maria then clears her throat doing her best to try to say something to her immortal companion.*
Maria: Mi amor? A-are you okay?
*He sits there not looking up he places his hands folding them tightly into each other. His jaw tightens as the sound of a grandfather clock resounds somewhere in the distance. Maria looks over at Abel again, who just continues to motion to him shrugging again in silence.*
Maria: Mi Amor? They called... you um... h-have a match. Against Tank! You know... Nero's partner? M-mi amor?
*The same silence greets her she nervously looks to Abel who just stands stoic. She tries to draw strength from this. She tries to ball her fist and collect her confidence. her breath adjusts her posture betters. She sways her hips to a swagger sashaying her dress a bit.*
Maria: Damn it, mi amor! Get up! So you lost! So what?! It is not the end of the world! All you need is a little...!
*She reaches for him and his hand comes up. It grips her wrist at first just a quick grab but as his grip tightens she winces visibly. His eyes never looking up as she lets out a slight gasp of pain before he releases her and she steps back cradling her arm. He looks up not with eyes of uncertainty, amusement, or pain but this time with anger. Righteous, deadly, furious, anger. He stares daggers into her and she visibly looks at him. A tad frightened by the empty soulless eyes that greet her. Abel steps back as well placing a hand toward her trying to stand between her and his fury. Then he breaks the silence. Breaks with words that make one's bones chill.*
Seph: Get... out... now...
*His words cease but the impact lingers. The inflection was clear. Now was not the time for company. Maria walked out quickly turning on her heels cradling her now painful arm as Abel slowly backed up not looking away from the Fallen One as he steps through the doorway. Seph rose slowly calmly, deathly calm as he stares emptily at the ground then just as suddenly as a lightning flash, he grips the back of the antique chair he was sitting upon. he turns in one fluent motion his body twists and then the chair flies crashing into the window as shards fly and wood splinters. The remains crash to the floor as Seph just stands staring at the damage. He glances over a moment at the mirror as a figure darts under the bed. Seph turns his attention seeing the ruffling of the underskirt as he glances back at the mirror. The tiny image of a girl hiding whimpering under the bed. He walks by revealing in reality no one is there as the camera pans to his feet walking hurriedly to the door. The camera follows him stepping down the stairwell at the end of the long hall. Walking down the double sided steps that leads to the foyer. The tiled marble floor and the large fountain in the center of the room sits unmoving in the silence of the bleak house. He looks up at the fountain. A statue of him at the top looking forward to the future. It seemed so long ago. The search was so hopeful but then just as quickly abandoned. A blink in his existence yet nearly two decades for others. The fountains bottom was as beautiful as it's top, four women done as succubi, they're mouths done to spray the red colored liquid in the center. He had not let the water flow for sometime, twas the wrong season and Maria detested it. He turned from the large fountain walking to the elephant foot umbrella stand gripping his classic cane in his hands. As he opened the door. He had to get out. Had to forget. He had to go back to her... to the person he always went to in his hour of need.*
*The cemetery was as he had left it, cool and silent in the snow. The stone monuments numbered by the hundreds though the work on them had slowed. Time was ravaging them and Seph secretly cursed himself for so easily letting his best groundskeeper take off with his niece. Still the cool white snow and leafless branches of winter left an indelible impression mixed with the numerous gray stones. He walked as he had walked many times, barely looking up as his legs tested his memory walking among the silent resting dead. He came across the double graves of his sons and the blackened damaged grave of their now accursed mother. He walked by the graves of the many incarnations of his sister-in-law, the obelisk cold to the touch as he leaned against it gently walking. Finally he stopped dropping down to one knee and leaning on his cane as he stared at the grave silently.

My world was better for having you in it.
He laid the cane at her feet once more. His one knee dropping as he sat on the back of his heels in the cold snow. He stared at her image a soft smile gentle in it's simplicity crossed his face. His hand touched the cold cameo on the stone touching her face once more. He leans in on hands and knees kissing the cool stone once more with gentle cold lips. His breath steam upon the wind as he pulls back and just sighs to himself. His eyes never straying from hers.*
Seph: Hello, my love. It's been too long.
*He stares empty, longingly into the tombstone. His face drops a moment as his voice breaks when he speaks. He looks to the sky for a moment. While true he cared not for Gods he cared for her and he hoped, beyond hope at times she could see him. he glaces back at the stone smiling at her.*
Seph: I wish you were here right now. I-I need you. I try not to think that way but... I... Why do you still haunt me, my love? Why do you torment me so? Have I not done my time? Have I not paid for letting you fall? I thought... I thought that when I married Maria I was over this. That somehow this was done. But it will never be done will it? Not until your with me again, is that it? Fine, I suppose. The one woman I could never say no to. Even in death.
*He looks down his eyes glazed with wetness a single crimson tear falling upon his pale cheek streaking a path of crimson. The droplet falls on the snow staining it, its rust colored red.*
Seph: God, help me I need you. Everyday it gets harder and harder and now when I have a chance at something great...
*He sighs frustratedly looking down at the grave. He looks exasperated at the heavens.*
Seph: I-I don't even know why I am here to be honest. I know you can't hear me. I know you can't possibly speak to me or hold me or comfort me in anyway. I have a new wife. A new daughter. A new life. W-why can't I just erase that horrible night from my mind? Why must I love you so much? Why?
*The sound of footprints in the snow alert him as he gazes up. He turns his snarling countenance to reveal his wife standing there a small binding on her arm as she stands defiant. One can see the woman in her incensed by his presence here. They stand locking eyes the wind blowing harshly around them his coat and her dress fluttering in the cold winter air.*
Maria: Why are you here?
Seph: You know why...
Maria: I KNOW WHY! I ASKED WHY ARE YOU HERE?!!!
*He dropped his head a bit to the side glancing at her as her face stays stern but her eyes shows the cracks in her facade filling with blood red tears.*
Maria: You swore to me you would never come here again.
Seph: I know but I...
Maria: YOU SWORE TO ME IT WAS FINISHED!!!
Seph: I KNOW WHAT I SAID!
Maria: AND YET I FIND YOU HERE?! WHY?! HMM?! WHY ARE YOU HERE TALKING TO THIS!!! THIS... MEMORY OF A WOMAN!!!
Seph: BECAUSE I STILL LOVE HER!!!
*The two stop the barrage as the words find their mark. Maria's eyes darted open her nostrils flared but the tears that flew revealed it all. He did love a memory and she knew it.*
Seph: BECAUSE EVERYTIME... EVERYTIME I try to forget I'm reminded why. Why I loved her. And everytime I look at you I'm reminded why your just a trophy and she...
*He stops as she drops her head. The harsh tongue driving it home worse than anything an opponent could possibly do to him. He regretted it but she knew and he knew that she knew.*
Seph: ... she will always be the woman I want.
*He begins to walkaway bumping into her as tears roll down her face. Streaming free as the pain sets in.*
Maria: I hate you....
*He keeps walking as she stares forward making it unsure if she is talking to him or the grave which she stares at with impunity as the scene fades to black.*
