“In the wrestling business, most people would advise to hold it back, to not let the business end of this get you, but the fact is. After the hell I’ve been through in 2013, the idea of a comeback in 2014, it’s a sweet. Beautiful thing. I shouldn’t be where I am today, after what Spike Kane did to me. I lost a lot of blood that night, I lost most feeling in my hands. I will always bear the scars that were given to me that night. But the shame, the humiliation I was given that night in front of thousands in the crowd, millions at home, in front of my friends and family. It’s not as great as the disrespect I’ve been shown by this company, yes the company I still faithfully serve. Imperial Wrestling Federation.
Where should I begin? I guess the start of it all boils down to one key central point.
The IWF Heavyweight Title.
I was placed in a scramble match, which I won.
The greatest mistake of my life, was winning that match, which sounds weird right? But from that match, I was banned from competing further more. The inception of a company, they couldn’t fathom such success, champions were asked to back down from competing, those who had won titles earlier in that pay per view, banished to the background, just crowned champions. Men exhausted, and yet a mystery entrant remained on the card, a man with a clear advantage, to hide from the shadows while men who blood, and sweat to cement the legacy of this company. What do we get in return.
We bow to our first false king, Lex Sense.
I was disrespect in what should have been my moment of glory, the fact is, I should have been crowned champion, instead a man appears from the shadows and takes the crown. Instead, a man steps from the shadows, and challenges me. Xander
Joe Everyman got his moment in the sun, when he won the Lineage tournament. I however, was cast aside, like a broken toy. You want the truth. I should have beaten Xander that night, however. The truth is, I was asked to make Xander look like the monster he is. The fact is, Xander Famularo is a beast, and a hell of a competitor, but I should have beaten him that night. What transpired from that, I was beaten, more than I imagined what would happen through that instant.
I became a dog, underappreciated, and overshadowed, and for what. This great dynamic villian duo? Look how it worked out.
The truth is, Joe Everyman was a sham of a champion, and Lex Sense was easily the better man that night, and every night. But when he had his chance once more, Lex couldn’t handle it, and look who isn’t here anymore? Yeah, he raged and left the company. Pretty pathetic right? But guess who was toiling away. I was.
Who was giving everything up, to keep the fans entertained, to keep selling tickets. But yet, Joe Everyman was still put forth, as our grand product. Here I was slaving away, doing anything I could. Joe Everyman is a lazy, good for nothing, piece of shit. I’ve worked with him for ages, there is a good reason in the back people call him immune system boost Joe.
But Verona had his tragic hero, and you idiots bought into it. Everyone loves a redemption story. Joe, the people’s chump. The Everyman. Against the big brass polished machine.
Where was I?
Defeating Xander.
But oh no, Xander didn’t like that. He wasn’t happy with the direction the place was going. As much as I love and respect him, he took a Lex Sense kind of exit. Here I was, carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Joe ended up flaking, as we all figured he would. But the company wouldn’t falter.
But this could have all been avoided, if for one moment, Verona would open his god damn eyes. If you put the Imperial Belt on my waist, you avoid wasting time on Everyman. You avoid Sense falling apart like the basket case he is. You avoid Spike Kane turning into the egomaniacal false god.
You avoid my crucifixion.
I did what I was told for months. I took Blade under my wing, I wanted to save him, he was circling the destruction drain. I ended up putting career on the line to save the stupid kid. I sacrificed my spot in the Extinction Event due to the fact that the Ace didn’t know how to take a dive.
After everything I’ve done.
You think an Imperial Title shot would be the least they could do?
Instead, I put Ortega over, who goes on to feud against Spike Kane.
But just like damn near everyone else, minus Spike, I have to give the devil his due. Spike Kane was the only man to not be entranced by the title, and losing it didn’t send him in a self destructive spiral.
But now rumbles come from the underground. That Ortega is now the overhyped Diva. Drunk with power, power he cannot handle.
A power, that should be mine.
I’ve given you everything Verona, my time, my life, my blood, my sweat, and my tears.
Not once did you visit me.
Not once did you ask if I was okay.
Not once, did you wonder if I was ever coming back.
Not once.
So I’m going to do what should be done.
I’m going to end this giant fraud you call ‘wrestling’
I spent 2013, trying to make sure Imperial Wrestling Federation would survive.
I will destroy that same company in 2014.”
