The scene opens on the backstage area of the arena. We soon see Avery turn a corner, looking down at the piece of paper in her hands for her match on Thursday. She bumps into someone and looks up seeing Ayla standing in front of her.
Avery: Sorry about that I didn't see you there.
Ayla: It's all right. I've been clumsy today.
Avery: It's fine. Excuse me.
Ayla steps in front of her, as Avery crosses her arms.
Ayla: I'm afraid I can't let you just walk away.
Avery: And why is that?
Ayla: I wanted to talk to you about Desiree. She's not that bad of a person really. She's just really misunderstood.
Avery: Right, and I'm the Pope.
Ayla: She just wants to help you...
Avery sighs, and shakes her head, pushing past Ayla and stands in front of a darkened doorway.
Avery: Right... Tell me another one. Last week I figured that she would come after me, but she didn't. I've been watching my back and everything and yet she still hasn't tried anything...
Ayla: See... Empty threat.
Avery: I don't know... I don't trust either one of you.
Ayla: Why not? We're just trying to be your friends...
Avery goes to walk away but Ayla grabs her by the arm.
Ayla: I'm afraid I can't let you leave.
Avery: I go where I want, so fuck off...
Avery goes to turn around and pull away from Ayla, only to have Desiree appear out of the doorway and place a cloth over Avery's face filled with a strange smelling liquid. Avery fights against it for as long as she can, but soon slumps to the floor.
Ayla: YOU CHLOROFORMED HER!
Desiree: She wasn't going to come easy, so I had to do something... Besides I never leave home without it.
Ayla: I thought I told you to get rid of it?
Desiree: I know you did... But I knew we would need it. Let's get her home before she wakes up.
Ayla sighs and helps Desiree pick Avery up, and carry her to the garage, as the scene fades back to the main part of the arena.
