The scene opens up at IWF's training center. Adam Knite is seen sitting in the corner with a cup of coffee reading a magazine. Gib however is standing on the apron of IWF's training ring shaking his head. Inside the ring Lucas and Roman James are rolling on the mat. No strikes just mat wrestling.
Gib: "These kids today"
Adam Knite: "They look good to me...."
Gib: "Really?...wait you're not even watching....."
Adam looks up and sighs.
Adam Knite: "Ok you're right...they're crap....."
Lucas and Roman look at each other and start to step it up. Lucas ducks down and picks Romans leg before rolling through, he grapevines it and wrentches back, Roman rolls over, breaks the hold and spins over his brother grabbing an arm, Lucas shows he's slightly better and gets his brother in a half nelson holding him down.
Gib: "Ok hold it stop!.....you guys just aren't getting it...."
Adam Knite: "Don't do it Gib......."
Gib: "SHUT UP!.....I'm going to whip these pansy ass panty sniffers into shape!......"
Lucas and Roman look at each other confused as they loook over at their sister Cherry sitting at ringside smoking a huge cigar drinking from her flask.
Gib: "Ok..you...the older one with the homo sexual haircut and epic beard....."
Lucas points to himself.
Gib: "Yes you...out...I'll show your brother how to do this...."
Lucas looks at Roman who shakes his head "no". Lucas tries to reassure his little brother with a hand on the shoulder but quickly leaves as Gib enters the ring and takes his shirt off revealing his grey haired chest and saggy pecs. Roman raises an eyebrow as Gib squirts baby oil in his hands and rubs it over his body.\
Gib: "Mmmm yeah......"
Roman: "L-l-luke?"
Lucas:"Uh....use some baby oil...it hurts without the oil....."
Roman: "Not funny...."
Gib moves around Roman, Roman ducks down going for a single leg, Gib simply clubs the kid in the back of the head with his forearm sending him down, Lucas winces watching his brother get clobbered.
Gib: "You got good basics kid...but what you need is a little...."
Gib hammers Roman with a lariat that plants the kid into the mat, Adam snickers putting his legs up on the table at ringside.
Gib: "You need aggression kid. It's good to have an amateur base but you need that anger...."
Roman struggles to his feet shaking off the lariat, Roman stumbles forward and Gib ducks down, does a standing switch and slams Roman with the metal health.
Lucas: "Ouch...uh Gib....I think he's had enough...."
Gib:"Nsh he can take more...."
Gib looks down to find Roman James twitching.
Gib: "Whatever...I have a beer and a double bacon cheeseburger waiting for me anyway......."
Lucas gets in the ring and leans down trying to wake his brother.
Lucas: "Uh...Rome?...."
"Gentlemen"
Lucas smiles and folds his arms over his chest.
"Last week my brother and I lost a match to Infamous. I got pinned by Rob Diamond. Now I know in this day and age where winning is looked upon as the be all end all of professional wrestling a loss, especially a debut loss is bad for one's career. But the truth is Roman and I are the new kids on the block. We weren't in NCW, we haven't been in any "major" promotion....."
"We're just...well...kids...."
"And last week we were in a match that involved two former world champions teamed together. So honestly, what is there to complain about?. I walked out of the backstage area and heard those fans, I saw the lights, I saw the ring and I realised we'd made it......."
Lucas breathes deeply and smiles.
"And now this week my brother and I face a mashed up team of Cable Arcane and Stephan Kingsley...."
"Now Cable I know. My brother and I were in the ring with him and his partner last week. I respect Cable, he seems to be a talented guy who stands for honor and respect. Virtues his partner this week does not share....But Cable I have to ask you...can you trust Kingsley?...."
Lucas raises an eyebrow
"Can you step into that ring and know that your partner will have your back?. Can you say that?. Cause I can. My brother has my back and I have his and we have a lifetime of chemistry and love to fall back on....."
"But you two?. You don't know each other, you don't like each other and you don't trust each other. And Cable seems to enjoy talking in riddles, we get it Cable, you're smart, you like to use alot of big words. Congratulations. And you happen to be a talented wrestler but as I said.....your partner is the problem...."
"Hell How can Cable trust Kingsley when Kingsley beleives he's facing my brother and Spike Kane?....."
Lucas laughs.
"Do I look like Spike Kane to you?......"
"But it seems like Kingsley had the same ideas as me regarding trust. Just one problem, I'm Lucas James not Spike Kane so, well, your whole argument, you're whole promo and everything you said makes no sense...at all...."
"But in the end my brother and I do need to stop feeling happy to be here...we need to win....we need to step it up and we need to be known as a dangerous team and future contenders......peace out...."
