Good win Alysson.
Congratulations.
I mean. I knew it was coming, but to stand there and witness it first hand was fun as hell and I thank you for giving me such a great match. You really gave it your all and you showed the world why you’re a former two time world champion. It was great and I’m honored to have lost to you, maybe next time things will have a different outcome.
*wink*
It was a good debut, I think I really showed a lot of people what all I have inside of me, the amount of training drilled into me by my father and mother really shined through and I’m happy about that. Now of course I didn’t win, but hey. You can’t win them all and trust me.. I know that for a fact. Sometimes though it’s just good enough to go out there and put on a show to get everybody to pay attention to you and turning heads is what I did.
If it was because of my skill, or the fact that this lunatic came out there claiming she was a time travelor from the future... I don’t know, but soon enough this whole “she’s an escaped asylum patient who thinks she’s from the future” drawing card will lose it’s appeal and they’ll all see who I am for what I can do in a wrestling ring.
I promise you that.
I have the Knite lineage flowing in my veins...
I have a historic legacy to live up to...
and mark my words...
I won’t disappoint.
âśLAST MONDAY BEFORE SACRIFICEâś
We open up to last week, backstage, where we can see the woman currently known as Ryleigh Knite standing by the catering table with the person known as “Trent Helms” standing beside her... but wearing a mask on the top of his head like a hat for some reason. Due to our curious nature we zoom in on this and decide to take a look at what the two are talking about.
“Remember, you’re just “Ryleigh” ok? No Knite, no third generation wrestling star, none of that? Got it? We have to make sure nobody realizes we’re from the future, there is no telling what harm we’ll do to the timestream if we do.”
“Ok. For the millionth time I got it, I’m Ryleigh and you’re the Masked Stranger it’s not that hard. Sheesh.”
“I’m just making sure, don’t bite my head off.”
Ryleigh isn’t paying much attention anyway as she’s more focused on the grapes sitting on the table and possibly eyeing the little pineapple chunks. The older version of Trent Helms grabs his mask and finishes putting it over his face and then holds out his arms as he smiles at Ryleigh.
“So now onto the important business... Does this mask make me look retarded?”
“No you don’t look like Rob Diamond.”
“That’s not funny. You shouldn’t be insulting barely functional mental healthy patients like that.”
“Hey. You asked. I answered. Deal with it.”
*laughs* “Spoken just like your father.”
“Yeah... dad...”
The future Trent Helms notices as Ryleigh begins to trail off and her gaze goes from what’s sitting there on the catering table to behind his head into the distance. In an attempt to see what she’s suddenly infatuated with and to his shock he sees none other than NCW Hall of Famer Adam Knite walking backstage, when he stops and begins looking around, obviously in a bit of a worrying state.
“Ryleigh!? Where did you go?”
Ryleigh takes a step towards Adam but her arm is quickly grabbed by Trent who holds her back, forcing her to turn and look at him. Trent gives her the “don’t even think about it” look through the eye holes of the mask and Ryleigh takes a deep breath, trying to contain herself.
“Ry. You know you can’t.”
“But he’s looking for me.”
“You know when we are in the past we displace our alternate selves in time when we’re in the immediate vicinity. Lets just get out of here and it’ll be ok.”
“You’re right. Lets go.”
Future Trent Helms and Ryleigh turn to head away while Adam in a increasingly growing state of semi-panic is looking around for his daughter. He grabs and IWF crew hand and holds him by the arm as he begins questioning the poor man, causing Ryleigh to turn around and stop Trent in his tracks, trying to pull her away.
“Hey you, kid. Have you seen my daughter, I swear she was right here just a second ago, she’s three.”
“No sorry, I can’t say I have.”
“Dammit. Ryleigh? Where are you young lady?!”
“I’m right here!”
Ryleigh takes a step towards her alleged father and Helms has no choice but to face palm at her reaction. Adam in response glares at her in complete disbelief at this young woman who is walking up to him in an almost mesmerized state. Ryleigh gets to within just a couple of feet of Adam and is breathing heavily and unable to speak, but is trying to get something other than “I’m right here” out of her lips.
“Who the hell are you?”
“I’m Ryleigh.”
“No I’m sorry, I was talking about my daughter.”
“I know. I.. I’m right here.”
Adam cocks an eyebrow at this person standing in front of him in total disbelief.
“Have you been dropped on your head too many times?”
Ryleigh doesn’t even attempt to answer that question, instead she takes another step forward and throws her arms round Adam suddenly and tears begin swelling up in her eyes as she squeezes Adam close with her head on his chest. Adam is officially confused as hell now, he puts his arms on her shoulders and gently pushes her away.
“Are you ok? Can I help you in some way?”
“I... I’m Ryleigh, I’m your daughter... from the future.”
“Alright. Who’s playing the joke? Is it Helms, because this is kinda sick.”
“Uncle Trent is right there.”
The future Helms lowers his head now, the whole jig is up and he pulls his mask off his head and Adam despite the man in front of him being much older can see the resemblance. He looks back at the girl who does look like an older Ryleigh and then backs away from the crazy people.
“I don’t know what you two are trying to do, or who put you up to it... but this isn’t funny. I demand you stop this stupid act right now.”
“It’s not an act... I really am your daughter, we’re stuck her because our chrono-watches broke because Uncle Trent tried to pet a T-Rex and we had to make an emergency jump.”
“That’s it. I’m done.”
Adam turns around and looks to head away but before he can he’s grabbed by the hand by Ryleigh and is turned around where he’s hugged by her again. Her eyes are no longer watering, they have tears falling from their corners.
“I’ve missed you so much! It’s been so long.”
Adam pulls away again.
“Wait. What do you mean missed me? If you’re from the future don’t you just see me then?”
Ryleigh’s mouth opens like she is going to say something but nothing comes out as she can’t find the words to explain this to her past father. Future Trent has the same reaction, but with a look of worry on his face. Adam looks at the two in bewilderment before Trent suddenly stops, grabs Ryleigh by the arm and pulls her away, dragging her with him.
“Sorry we can’t be here anymore.”
Ryleigh reaches towards her father as she’s pulled away but it does no good because before too long her and Helms are way off in the distance and out of eye sight leaving Adam standing there with a really confused look on his face. Suddenly his hand is pulled on by a small three year old girl, Ryleigh. Adam turns to look at his daughter standing next to her mother, Kelly Fox.
“Ryleigh where have you been?”
“She was with me... in the bathroom. Adam... why were you standing here just staring off into the distance? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
“I don’t think I have enough time to explain it here... come on, lets get to our suite before the show starts and man do I have a hell of a story for you.”
Kelly agrees as Adam takes his daughter and throws her up into his arm before throwing his other arm around his wife and the three walk off together to enjoy the first week of IWF wrestling and this flashback scene fades to black.
Last week I think I made a comment that really got under a few people’s nerves.
I want to make something clear...
When I said I had no idea who you were...
I was just being honest. I swear.
Look, I know a lot of retards over the years in professional wrestling would do the whole “who are you again” stupid shtick and I understand it gets real old after a while and I just want to be sincere when I say this. I did not mean it that way. I literally meant it as being from the future, I had never heard of you. I knew Alysson would go on and win this match, but I didn’t know against who, I didn’t know the individuals involved and as you can see by me being there when I originally was not... things can change. Time isn’t a set pattern each and every time that’s why jumping into the past can be so problemsome, because I have no idea what I could be changing.
But here I am stuck and I have to do whatever it takes to get myself back.
So that brings me to you Kate.
You’re unknown to me. I don’t know what you go on to accomplish or don’t. You’re a mystery to me because you seem to be one of those very variables I was talking about... you could go on and have a completely unspectacular career like has apparently been written in my timeline but with a win over somebody like Ryleigh Knite... who knows, you could go on to rewrite history just by defeating me... the extra variable that wasn’t there before.
Either way... I don’t plan on letting that happen.
We come from similar molds, we’re both aspiring rock stars, we’re both born into a wrestling family so to speak and we both have dreams of being something greater than we currently are. We both have dreams of making our mark on this business with an unorthodox mix of rocking out and wrestling talent. It’s going to prove to be a lethal combination someday, I promise you.
This is your moment to try and change the course of your history, this is your moment to try and make something more of yourself than what has been written in my time. Can you keep up with me? With my training, with my legacy, with the inherited traits that have been handed down to me by two of wrestling’s most famous figures? I guess that’s really up to you to decide.
I know what I can do...
Do you know what you can bring?
Because I don’t and I’m from the future.
Make the choice right here. Will you come out here and be totally and completely forgettable, or are you going to stand up, stomp your feet and scream at the top of your lungs that you won’t be forgotten? It’s up to you, either way I’m going to walk to that ring and put the 115% of myself in that ring that my father told me to do and beat the hell out of you. The only real question is... are you going to fight back enough to make your name known?
Lets go out there and have a great match...
LETS ROCK!
