The Spark
Creative News For Creative Sparks
If there is one thing we here at The Spark have always admired about Spike Kane, it is his remarkable ability to make us believe in everything he says and does inside the ring. He is a man of utter conviction and self-belief and he has the kind of presence that makes people stand up and really pay attention, and he's been doing this for almost two decades now.
It can't be easy to continue to make people believe that what you see every week on IWF programming is real, especially in a business where the fans have gotten smarter and much more critical than they were ten or fifteen years ago, so you can imagine our surprise when less than 24 hours after our last article, we got a significant increase in hits and we were trending on Twitter after it hit the headlines that Spike Kane actually reads our column and actually believes in our content and shares our vision.
"I've got no idea what this show is, but it seems that all they talk about is bullshit." - Spike Kane
Far be it from us to correct such a wrestling legend after such a ringing endorsement, but The Spark feels misrepresented by your team of hot shot lawyers in so much as we are not a show, we are a creative news source just trying to do what you do every week, entertain our readers.
It has since been revealed that Spike Kane has indeed fired at least part of his legal team after being so convincingly duped by us after it was revealed they also believed in the Easter Bunny, the fact that Elvis Presley was still alive and that Joe Everyman was the best Imperial Champion simply because he was the first.
Thank you for everything you've done for us Spike, and we're sure this isn't going to be the first time you've heard this, but The Spark between us, just isn't real.
The message here is don't believe everything you read on the internet, kids...unless you really want to represent Spike Kane.
