IWF.com can exclusively reveal that after the attack by the man being described as "The Watchman" at IWF Bloody Assizes, Roberto Verona has suffered extensive injuries. The longest reigning NCW World Champion was chokeslammed through the stage and suffered multiple injuries to his shoulder and neck and is currently in intensive care in a local hospital, though his condition is described as "stable and non-life threatening". CEO Simon de Montfort extended his sympathies and was keen to point out that in Roberto's absence he would be assuming his place in running the Imperial division until "Mr. Verona is capable of performing his duties."
Regardless of his return in a corporate capacity, rumours suggest that in terms of his in ring career Mr. Verona's intended sabbatical has no become a forced sabbatical and he is unlikely to make any appearances any time soon.
