“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the very first show of Game On! There are many more to come, but we’re going to focus on this week and this week alone. What is this show about? I know a lot of you are wondering, but a lot of you don’t know what my side profession is; I am a professional gamer on Halo 4. This is a profession that came about not because I only cared about Halo 4, but because I cared about gaming throughout my entire life! What has gaming meant to a lot of people? What has it meant to me? Well, to put it simple; gaming has been an escape. There is no running away from reality, that’s a sure thing, but it’s nice to have that escape from it where nothing matters except for that game, at that moment. Game On was founded on various things that I look for in the world of professional gaming that I’m going to look for in the world of professional wrestling. I’m going to be going down and showing you the absolute biggest things that happened; the things that made the biggest impact or just left the most people with shock wondering… Did they really just see that? Who had the biggest clutch moment? Who made the most plays with chances that nearly ended a match? Who were the stars of the week?! On top of that, I’m going to be adding predictions; who do I think is going to win? You can choose to listen to what I have to say, or prove me wrong. Then, the moment that you’ve all been waiting for --- the Game On challenge! I have a game selected for the challenge which everybody is allowed to participate in. There’s another thing that I decided to add to the show: Challenge of the Week. This is a challenge where anybody can challenge another to any game, but the catch is that it must be a one-on-one encounter. The challenger will select the game, the mode, give all the details that they need; the challenged can choose to accept or not, and if the challenge is accepted, the battle must take place within the week.
We’ve got a show ahead of us, so let’s get started… The first thing that I have on the agenda is going to be the Playmaker of the Week, along with the two runner-ups. This is decided by who has had the most near fall attempts added with the most near-submission attempts! The winning submission or pin fall will also play effect. ANYWAYS! Allow me to announce the very first Playmaker of the Week... as…”
PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK
XAVIER CROSS!
Seth Evans:
“Yes, yes, the brand new and first-ever Heavyweight Champion of Imperial Wrestling Federation earned the honor of becoming the very first Playmaker of the Week, and setting the bar at a nine! Nine pin attempts throughout the championship scramble, and he was also able to capture the Heavyweight Championship. Congratulations, Xavier Cross; for all future comers, remember not to be afraid to go for any pin fall you can go to! Any single one of them can be a near fall, and on top of that, it wears down your opponent and forces them to exert a little bit of their energy into kicking out. Submission holds counting, remember, you can really wear down your opponent and focus on a single limb. This week, the winner is Xavier Cross by strictly near falls!
We have a tie for our first runner-up; both Jenny Famularo and Tara Fenix! These two battled it out for the Ruby Championship in an elimination triple threat contest, after they had eliminated Portia Roberts from the match, that’s when the war really seemed to begin; because these two left it all in the ring. They reach first runner-up by having seven.
The second runner-up was Mike Laszlo, who was also in the Heavyweight Championship scramble, and he had six overall attempts. Sadly, for him, it didn’t pay off.
We have our playmakers… but now it’s one of my favorite bits right here. The plays of the week! A lot of you watched Bloody Assizes and saw some of the things that they did, which the whole show was full of awestruck moments; it was difficult to go through and choose just five but I was able to. Starting at number five and counting down to one! We have number five as:”
{Jenny is back to her feet first, but followed shortly by Tara, and Tara connects with an uppercut on her way up --- Jenny staggers back and Tara charges after her, only to be lifted over with a shoulder back toss but Tara catches the top rope and is able to land on the apron… Not noticing that Tara had landed, Jenny rushes at the opposite ropes and starts coming back to finally see her on the apron --- Jenny leaps up and gets her legs around Tara’s neck before spinning her around and sending her outside of the ring with a hurricanrana! Jenny is clinging to the apron of the ring to keep herself up while Tara is holding her lower back and cringing on the ground.}
Seth Evans:
“The reason behind this is simple. The athleticism is clear as day with how Jenny simply soared over the top rope, and connected with a perfect hurricanrana! I know Tara, I love her as if she were my older sister; I know the wars that she has been through and I don’t know how she was able to pick herself up after that one. It was just --- I held my breath for that one. I don’t know of anyone who can really say they didn’t. Number four, though!”
{All four men are on top of their respective ladders. Keeton rips the belt out of Caleb's hands, Caleb rams Keeton's face into the top of the ladder. Bushido swings at Freakke but Freakke smashes Bushido's face into the top of that ladder. Caleb and Freakke at the same time kick over Jake and Bushido's ladder, both men crash on the mat below, Jake having taken the belt with him. Freakke and Caleb look at each other, the crowd, then both climb as high as they can and Freakke jumps off with the Big Top Drop on Bushido, Caleb hits the Skyscrapper Press on Jake!}
Seth Evans:
“Just look at it --- it’s a huge play! It’s a double play! Freakke and Caleb, both crashing down on the ring onto Bushido and Jake Keeton, who were the two strongest players going into this match, that seemed to even the odds if even for a moment. Going on to number three!”
{Isabella points her finger at Bernard who starts to back up but as he does the Chicago crowd roar as Verona pushes into the back of him sending him into the monsters grip. Wrapping a paw around Bernard’s neck he ripes him off his feet with one hand and send him crashing down on the ramp with a sickening thud with a horrendous one handed chokeslam! Verona stares down in shock as he walks around the body of Bernard who is not moving at all, looking at the monster before he turns to look at Isabella who scowls menacingly at him. As he is briefly distracted Verona is suddenly grabbed by the throat causing the crowd to boo as the monster walks him up the ramp and on to the stage. Isabella blows him a kiss and then he too is ripped up into the air and sent crashing down, but as he does the sound of metal buckling and snapping resonates around the arena as he is chokeslammed through the stage, sparks flying up from wires! The crowd rush to the barriers to see if they can see Verona but he is nowhere to be seen as chants of “Holy Shit!” ring around the arena.}
Seth Evans:
“This was a long clip, not even a sanctioned match, but I don’t know who this masked man is… but he has me scared. Keep in mind, Roberto Verona was the top dog back in New Championship Wrestling and he was just laid out… There’s no saying what this monster could do. Remember, it’s not about whether a match was sanctioned or not; it was about making a statement. He made his. We’re going on to number two.”
{Brad has the look of somebody that knew that wouldn't work as he rises to his feet, taking Alex with him. Whatever he had in mind though would have to wait because Alex snaps out of it and Hiptosses Brad over, following it up with a dead on jumping fist drop. Brad sits up and Alex hits a superior football kick to his spine, ending the "Xtreme Combo"! Brad rises to his feet with an arched back as Jones backs himself into the ropes and rebounds with a vicious spear! Brad is winded as he's floored by Alex's maneuver. Jones nips up back to his feet, pumping up the crowd before heading to the top rope. The cell is right above his head but he has enough room to complete the full rotation of his "Spiral Tap" (Corkscrew Senton)! Brad looked like he was sitting up only to be splashed on top off and Alex leans back and…}
Seth Evans:
“That was not an easy thing for Alex Jones to be able to pull off --- he is a high flyer. He will fly high! He was able to keep himself from getting too high where the cage would interfere with his leap, and connect perfectly with Brad Kane… It was a beautiful move done at a crucial moment, but it wasn’t enough to win. It was enough to take the number two spot. After that little countdown, we’re down to one! One clip, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody.... Number one:”
{Spike looks up, realises that the carnage around him leaves him this one chance. He rushes up the ladder, desperately as he can and finally reaches the top, the light bulbs flashing as Gjenrei races back into the ring. He races up the ladder and Spike and Gjenrei begin top trade blows, back and forth, back and forth. Suddenly Spike gets the upper hand and he sees two stacked tables on the outside and with one fluid motion he leaps off with Gjenrei and hits a THUNDRESTRUCK THROUGH TWO TABLES!!! "Holy Shit!”}
Seth Evans:
“This was just --- wow. Spike Kane proved to the entire IWF universe why he is called the God of Xtreme, and to top this off as the play of the week was this secured the opportunity for Rob Diamond to take the Tag Team Titles and crown them as the first Tag Team Champions. It proved to the world that Spike Kane is still willing to take any and all risks that he needs to take to walk out with the win, he will put his body through anything to walk out with the win; congratulations Spike Kane, you took the number one play of the week for the first time on Game On!
Not wanting to waste too much time, we have the new Clutch Player of the Week; it was a close call between Spike Kane making the clutch play to eliminate Gjenrei from the equation in the Tag Team Title match, to Jenny Famularo knocking both Tara and Portia Roberts out cold long enough to eliminate Portia, and almost Tara, from the match. The entire Cruiserweight battle, but the clutch player of the week --- his second time being announced:
CLUTCH PLAYER OF THE WEEK
XAVIER CROSS
Seth Evans:
“Xavier Cross! Yet again, he has his name mentioned in Game On; the reason that I selected him as the Clutch Player of the Week was because the Heavyweight Championship scramble came right down to the wire; if he had pinned just one second later, The Ace would be the one walking out as the Heavyweight Champion. The last possible second that he could use, he won the Heavyweight Championship. It was close, as I said, but Xavier Cross deserves this one, too.”
ELITE FIVE
5) Mike Laszlo
“I’m not going to be biased over this; there’s no denying that Mike Laszlo deserves to be on this list! He marched into Bloody Assizes with his mind set on capturing the Heavyweight Championship, but wasn’t able to… Keeping his head high, he was able to march back out to the ring and qualify for the Heir to the Throne tournament. I may not like him; but he earned this.”
4) Brad Kane
“Another man that I don’t necessarily agree with, but I’m not the type of person to be biased in anything I do. That’s why I’m putting him on this list, because the match between Alex Jones and Brad Kane was clearly the most anticipated match of the evening and he was able to extinguish the fire that built upon the anger that Alex had boiling inside of him from what happened at the end of nCw that kept him from being the final nCw World Champion, and carrying it over to IWF.”
3) Infamous
“These are two of the few that remain undefeated in IWF, and are undefeated as a tag team… There was no doubtin my mind that they were going to walk out of Bloody Assizes as the Tag Team Champions, but the only question I really have is; how long is this going to last? Rob is my friend, Spike is a legend, but when are we going to see a team sign up that can give these two a run for their money?! Remaining undefeated and taking the Tag Team Titles, they earned their spot at number three.”
2) Ryan Blade
“This is another man that seemed to pull an upset… My mind was set on Daniel Constantine walking out of this event as the first ever Man of Steel Champion, although Ryan Blade has been very impressive over the last couple weeks and dominated the Man of Steel four way contest that had taken place. On top of that, he seemed to even decide to make his presence known to the Heavyweight Division, and let us all know that he’s also part of that by getting involved in the scramble and could very well be the reason that Xavier Cross was able to walk out with the belt around his waist, and not Andrew Jacobsen.”
1) Xavier Cross
“Over the last couple weeks, he’s done some of his best work in that ring --- facing the likes of Andrew Jacobsen and I, he then marched into the ring to take on a former World Champion in The Ace, and the number the fifth elite, Mike Laszlo. The man came out of nowhere, and I’m not really surprised that he was able to take the belt. If it wasn’t me, I knew it would be him. Congratulations, Xavier. But now that I’m not in the Heir to the Throne tournament or the Heavyweight Champion; believe me when I tell you that I have my crosshairs on you. Just crazy that he has taken three awards from me here tonight.”
PREDICTIONS
SINGLES MATCH
Xander Famularo vs. Stephen Kingsley
Prediction: I believe that Xander Famularo has this one Stephen Kingsley has been far from impressive since the start of Imperial Wrestling Federation, and I know from experience, Xander Famularo is a serious force to be reckoned with. He can be beaten; just not by Stephen Kingsley.
SINGLES MATCH
Daniel Constantine vs. Duke Winchester
Prediction: I’m leaning in favor of Daniel Constantine for this one because I’ve been impressed by everything that he has done in the ring… He might be a religious nut, but whether it’s in the name of God or just for himself, he’s hungry for this victory. After suffering a huge loss at Bloody Assizes and not walking out with the Man of Steel Championship; he wants this. He’s going to take it.
SINGLE MATCH
Seth Evans vs. Ryan Blade
Prediction: It’s my own match… What do you want me to say? I’m voting for myself. I know that I have my work cut out for me, but just like Constantine --- I’m hungry. I’m coming after Ryan Blade, and I’m not leaving without a win.
HERIESS TO THE THRONE MATCH
Emma Danielson vs. Kat Conway
Prediction: This is one that can be a real toss up, but I’m going to pick Emma Danielson.
MAIN EVENT
SINGLES MATCH
Xavier Cross vs. JackHammer
Prediction: Oh, God! Do I have to? Xavier Cross has this one, hands down. JackHammer, you’re a very big man and a very powerful man, but you have to be able to do something with that! For the longest time I have watched you in the ring, and I’ve seen nothing. I’m sorry, but I’m calling it as it is. I have seen nothing… Xavier Cross has gotten his head into the game and he’s not going to let his first match after taking the Heavyweight Championship be a loss.
DIAMOND'S LINGERIE INVITATIONAL TO DETERMINE RYLEIGH'S REPLACEMENT
SPECIAL GUEST JUDGES : MIKE MACHADO & THE ACE
Isabella Maldini vs. Amber Richards vs. Ashley Mastrangelo vs. Kate Steele vs. Jennifer Famularo vs. Portia Roberts vs. Alexis Morrisson
Prediction: Umm… What the hell is this? I’m not saying I don’t like seeing some women in lingerie, but what the hell? I’ll pick Isabella just because her name is weird.
HEIRESS TO THE THRONE MATCH
Tifa Heafy vs. Jessica Reed
Prediction: Tifa Heafy, just because she shares the same name of a Final Fantasy VII character.
SINGLES MATCH
Mike Laszlo vs. Spike Kane
Prediction: Well, Mike Laszlo… it seems that you are moving up. You’re going to be facing the God of Xtreme in singles competition, but I don’t like you --- as far as Spike goes, I’m not too concerned with him. As far as I’m concerned, Rob Diamond has been carrying Infamous to true stardom. Hate me for my opinion? Okay. Rob Diamond represents what Infamous has been about, and just because Spike is his best friend, he took him as his partner. Don’t get me wrong, Spike! Because I’m picking you to win this match, because I’m thinking that you’re listening to what I have to say and now you’re fired up. You want to prove me wrong and prove that you’re not Rob’s lackey. There’s no mistaking that Spike Kane is a Hall of Fame wrestler, a former multi-time World Champion in almost every single organization that he has ever wrestled in, and I won’t be surprised to see him step up and win the Imperial Championship. Everything that Spike has done throughout his illustrious career is what is going to bring him this victory. Mike, you lose. Especially after all the talk you’ve been doing to Infamous --- and me --- you are not going to survive to meet Rob Diamond in the ring.
HEIRESS TO THE THRONE MATCH
HANDICAP MATCH
Eternity & Ayla St James vs. Alysson Gardner
Prediction: I’m going to take a long shot and say that Alysson takes this one. It might be hard under the handicap rule, but I think that she can do it.
HEIR TO THE THRONE MATCH
TRIPLE THREAT
Cable Arcane vs. Lex Sense vs. Mike Machado
Prediction: Surprising the world with his return… You know, I can’t lie. He fooled everybody else but I’ve faced this man in the ring and I know a lot more about him than people think --- I knew enough about him that I was able to defeat him. Not in his current mood. Lex Sense, no surprise to me, stepped into IWF and in a dominant fashion! He’s going to steamroll through and continue his domination.
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Bushido vs. Rob Diamond vs. Freakke the Clown
Prediction: This is a very difficult one because Bushido proved to the world that he can pull one huge upset by keeping Jake Keeton from becoming the Cruiserweight Champion. On top of that, though, Rob Diamond is also in this ring who is a legend in the eyes of the Cruiserweight Division, and has been unstoppable since IWF has started! I’m betting on Rob Diamond keeping his spree going.
SINGLES MATCH
Alex Jones vs. Gjenrei
Prediction: On one end, we’ve got Alex Jones. On the other, we’ve got Gjenrei. Gjenrei, as far as I’m concerned, has never been someone that people expected to see big things out of but we always have. Alex Jones, on the other hand, has been a main event name for a long time in his career. Both of these men could very well walk out with their arm raised. Alex Jones has just come off of a loss to Brad Kane; Gjenrei has been in the tag team competition but saw little success from it on account of Infamous taking and eliminating all comers. I think that Alex Jones is going to let the anger cloud his mind a little too much and Gjenrei is going to take advantage of it. Gjenrei has it.
HEIR TO THE THRONE MATCH
TRIPLE THREAT
Deathtrain vs. Joe Everyman vs. Ryan Shane
Prediction: I’ve heard the tales of Deathtrain and know that he can be a pretty scary man… but some people wonder how well he can back up the words that he says. Ryan Shane is one that I haven’t really paid attention to… but Joe Everyman. That’s a man that I know a lot about and while I have a winning record over him, I know that he can always bring even better to the table! I’m picking Joe Everyman because he appears to be focused and he could very well walk out of this tournament as the Imperial Champion.
CLUTCH PREDICTION:
“There are a lot of tough contests that are going to happen this week, but I’m going to try to predict with who has to dig the deepest --- who has to pull out the biggest thing that they can to walk out with the win. If you ask me, I think with Bushido being hot off a win as well as Rob Diamond being hot off of winning the Tag Team Titles; my prediction is for Rob Diamond to win. My prediction is that he’s going to have to come up with the biggest play to secure my prediction as being correct! Good luck, Rob! Prove me right!”
GAME ON CHALLENGE
“We’ve finally come to this. We’ve finally come to the Game On Challenge; the game that I’ve selected has been around as an arcade game for a long time and one that I used to hold the high score on --- the problem is that I haven’t played it in a long time, and haven’t been able to get to a quarter of what my high score was! Please visit www.freearcade.com/Helicopter.flash/Helicopter.html to play the game and have your chance at being the first Game On Challenge winner --- the game is called Helicopter. It’s a simple click and release. Good luck, everybody! Remember to provide the proof to my e-mail (PM)…”
www.freearcade.com/Helicopter.flash/Helicopter.html
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK
“And the very last thing that I have to put up is the Challenge of the Week; remember, this is a chance for anyone who has a score to settle or just wants to prove themselves superior to another in a one-on-one contest. The game is selected by the challenger and he or she must provide all details --- the challenged has the choice of whether to accept or not. The games can be absolutely anything, so long as the challenger and challenged both have the game! It can be Halo 4, it can be Call of Duty, it can be Rock Band, it can even be Words With Friends. Name the game… name the console… name everything. And challenge away!
Answering Trent’s challenge to me for Dance Dance Revolution; I’m sorry to inform you that I don’t actually own the game… therefore, I’m going to have to decline. If you want to change the game to one that I do have, I’d be more than happy to accept.
Thank you for tuning in, everybody! Good luck to any and all that decide to participate in the challenge this week; and remember… until then… GAME ON!”
ANYWAYS!
