If you were to ask me how I thought the beginning of my wrestling career would begin, I would definitely not tell you that I thought I would lose my first three matches. It’s been a tough road. I mean, I had such high expectations coming into this, but right now…I just don’t know at the moment.
Eliza continues to get the upper hand on me. Sure, I hit the bitch with a chair…but she pinned me. I’m not going to sit here and make excuses that my partner Ana Valentine decided to walk out on me, because that is not the type of girl that I am. Eliza rolled me up and she got the three count. Does it hurt to hear that? Hell yeah.
But will it stop me? Hell no.
Now, there isn’t going to be anyone that stands between Eliza and me. There won’t be her “B-F-F” or my father in our way. It’s going to be a true bitch fight. I never want to follow my father’s footsteps, making enemies everywhere I went and making people hate to be around me. So far, I feel I have walked down that path.
Maybe I truly am the daughter of “Dagger” Dave Damon…maybe I should give that bitch Eliza the same treatment she has been giving me over the past few weeks? Maybe this isn’t about the fans, it’s really only about personal goals. Is that what my destiny truly is meant to be in this business?
No…no there is no chance that I have a destiny. I am going to create my own path, create my own name. I will not allow this rough start to hinder my career. I may not have some unprecedented undefeated streak to begin my career, but damn it, I won’t allow wins or losses change who I am going to become!
I am “Flamin” Lizzie Damon, not “Dagger” Dave Damon. I love my dad with all of my heart, but I will not allow myself to be branded as his evil little child. I can play by the rules to kick anybody and anyone’s ass if I put my mind to it.
That even means you, Eliza.

Lizzie, age seven, looks at her bicycle. It does not have the training wheels on it that she had been so accustomed to. Dave looks at the bike with her, withdrawing from his drugs. He was out of money and was waiting for the next show to get over with so he could buy his next surplus of supplies. For now, he was stuck teaching his daughter to ride a bike.
Lizzie Damon
I don’t think I’m ready…
Dave Damon
Look, you are going to learn sooner or later. And if you don’t pick sooner, I might not be there to help you later.
Lizzie, helmet strapped on, elbow and knee pads pulled up, looks up at her father. He seemed aggravated, which he was. She looks back at the bicycle, seeing it as an obstacle. Even at such a young age, Lizzie was always headstrong in trying to accomplish her goals.
Lizzie Damon
Let’s do it!
She hops on the bicycle, with Dave holding on to her and the bike, making sure that she wasn’t going anywhere.
Dave Damon
Go ahead and pedal.
Pressing the pedals forward, Lizzie feels the bike going forward. Her heart races, knowing that she no longer has the safety valve with her. Dave walks with her, making sure that she is comfortable the entire time she is moving.
Lizzie Damon
Don’t let go till I’m ready!
Dave Damon
Baby…
What Lizzie didn’t know was that Dave had already let go of her. Dave had an itch from his lack of heroin, and that itch became more important than his daughter. He watched her go off on her own, doing a great job at it. He was a proud father, seeing his daughter overcome another challenge in life.
Dave Damon
You’re doing great, baby girl!
Lizzie Damon
Daddy!?! I’m not ready! DADDY!?!
Lizzie begins to panic. Her support was not there, and she felt her bicycle beginning to wobble back and forth, slowly losing her balance. Dave realized he had a mistake, chasing after the runaway girl on a bike. Lizzie finally lost it, falling off the bike and landing hard on her side. She immediately began to cry profusely, the pain like she had never felt before in her seven years.
Dave Damon
LIZZIE! Are you okay!?!
Lizzie Damon
DADDY!!!
Her right arm was scraped, blood oozing out of it. Snot and tears smeared her face, as Dave picked her up off the ground and into his arms. He inspected her body, finding nothing was broken. He sighed relief, knowing the incident could have been a whole lot worse than what it was. He looks at the cut, wiping the blood off with his shirt. He kisses her arm, using his magical healing powers to help it out.
Dave Damon
Is that better, baby girl?
Lizzie Damon
Y-y-yes…
She was breathing frantically. Dave held onto her tightly, embracing her. This itch…this itch he had from the lack of his narcotics forced him to forget about his daughter, the only thing he truly had left in this world. It hit him hard, knowing that while this incident was minor, something even worse could have happened. He knew what he had to do.
He had to get clean.

Eliza, I could sit here, call you a bitch or a dozen other names that you rightfully deserve to be called. But as I look back at the beginning of my career, I have seen what name calling has gotten me – zero wins. I’ll give you credit, your mind games and your little dirty tactics really rattled me.
But come Metamorphosis, things are going to be a lot different. You see, Lizzie Damon no longer is going to just talk the talk. She is going to walk the walk. My first will be against you, Eliza, and I am glad it is in a Strap Match, because I will make sure I beat the hell out of you in it.
I am the bully here? Let me freshen your mind when I tell you that you attacked me. I only reacted how I should have, by cracking you with a steel chair. So what do you do? You don’t come after me. You decide to attack my father, because that is what lowlifes like you do, isn’t it? You have to attack what is close to me to get to me.
I have not been enough since I have gotten in the Imperial Wrestling Federation. I watched my team lose my debut match, I ran off to chase after you as I was counted out, and I felt my shoulders pinned against the mat as you rolled me up. I have gotten my feet wet, felt what it is like to lose.
But you know why I am going to come out stronger than ever? Because I am a sore loser. I hate…no…I absolutely DESPISE the feeling of losing. And for it to happen three times in a row? You best believe your sweet ass I am not going to let myself lose to you again.
At the end of it all, I will be standing over you – victorious.
I am treating this with a clean slate. Record means absolutely nothing when we duke it out. I simply will be about who wants to win more than the other.
And I hate to tell you this, Eliza, but I am not giving up until it’s you who has their shoulders down for the three count this time.

Lizzie sits backstage, in her ring gear getting ready for her match against Eliza. She is looking at a picture of her mother. If only she could have gotten to really meet her.
Dave Damon
She’s beautiful, isn’t she?
Lizzie turns around to see her father standing over top of her. He has half of a smile on his face, reminiscing on all of the great times that he had with his late wife. Lizzie places the picture back in her locker, before turning her attention back to her father.
Lizzie Damon
I’m nervous.
Dave Damon
You’ll do fine…in fact…
Dave reaches into his front pocket, which grasps the curiosity of Lizzie. He pulls out of it brass knuckles, a foreign object that could easily be concealed within the trunks of whomever chose to possess the weapon.
Dave Damon
Take this…for safety…
Lizzie looked at the weapon, shaking her head. She had rejected the idea of cheating a long time ago.
Lizzie Damon
Dad…I can’t. I won’t need to cheat to win tonight.
Dave Damon
Liz, I know you want to be all heroic and shit…but you HAVE to understand that this is a dog eat dog business!
Lizzie looks away from her father. He was right about that. The second anyone had a chance to succeed in the business, they would take that chance, no matter who they ran over or backstabbed to reach that success.
Dave Damon
I did this shit for half of my life! And you know what I did to succeed? I cheated…
Lizzie looks back up at Dave, who seems to show no regret for how his actions during the course of his career. Dave saw no fault in his decisions. To succeed, you had to be willing to forfeit merit.
Dave Damon
Elizabeth…trust me…take this just in case you need it.
Lizzie Damon
Dad…
Lizzie gets up from her seat, and placing her hands on the brass knuckles. She grabs them from her father’s hand, but does not hold onto them. She throws them away, before giving her father a big bear hug. Dave stands there stunned at the series of events.
Dave Damon
What are you doing?
Lizzie Damon
The only safety I will ever need is knowing that you are in my corner.
It was at this time that Dave’s heart grew three times in size. Not really. But the moment was warming to the ex-heel. He wrapped his arms around his daughter and squeezed her tightly. Hearing his daughter say that really hit home for him, even causing him to tear up slightly. This was her moment and he knew she was going to take it.
Dave Damon
I am so proud of you, baby girl.
