We open up inside Seth Evan's training facility. Cliff Clinton is holding the heavy bag as Seth Evans is raining punch combos and hard kicks into the side of the bag. Seth is hitting hard and the sweat begind to pour from his head. He hits it with one hard kick and knocks Cliff over with the shot. Cliff looks up at Seth with a surprised and impressed look on his face. Seth looked down at his friend with a smile and extends a hand to help Cliff up.
“Well after seeing that....”
Cliff says as he dusts himself off from the fall.
“...I think your ready for Angel.”
Seth works to re position the heavy bag.
“I don't want to be ready. I want to leave out all doubt.”
Cliff knew that Seth planned on having a war with Angel. Cliff had his friends back in all of this but he also knew that it was best to stay out of the way. Besides he had his own mystery opponent to worry about.
“So what about you Cliff. You really have no idea who your opponent is at Meta?”
Cliff shrugs his shoulders.
“Your guess is as good as mine my friend.”
Seth thinks about it for a second.
“Well whoever it is.....
All of a sudden Cliff notices something outside the window.
“Hold that thought.”
Cliff darts toward the window to spot a strange girl standing and watching in the window. When she notices Cliff looking at her she takes off running.”
“Hey Seth, I'll be right back!”
And with that Cliff out the door.
We open up on Cliff Clinton standing in front of the camera. His Man of Steel championship shining on his shoulder.
“So this week live on pay per view I'm scheduled to defend this championship once again. Unlike last time I don't have the luxury of knowing my opponent like I knew Seth. In fact this week I defend the Man of Steel championship against a mystery opponent.”
Cliff shrugs his shoulders.
“I have no information. No way to prepare. No way to get ready. I'm just supposed to walk out there live in front of all those people at Metamorphosis and just hope for the best. That's a good way to put a lot of people on edge. But.....I'm not one of those people.
Cliff chuckles and shakes his head.
“It just so happens, that I've been rolling with the punches my entire life. Every time I turn around it seems I find life throwing me a curve ball. Just when I think I know all the the answers the questions get changed. And there I stand...forced to deal with it. Somehow, I find a way to survive. That's how I've managed to make it this far!
He pats his Man of Steel Championship that hangs on his shoulder.
“So that's why when we get to Meta and I'm standing in the middle of the ring awaiting the arrival of my mystery opponent.....I won't be thinking about who it could be.....I'll be thinking about tossing whoever walks down that ramp right up and over my head! I'll be thinking about how whoever this person is, is going to wish they had kept themselves a mystery because the ass whippin that old Cliff Clinton puts on this guy will be no secret!
“Let me explain it to you like this mystery man.....with all due respect.....I understand that your trying to make a big return or debut or whatever with all the bells and whistles but the thing that you don't realize is that your going to try and do that at my expense. I'll tell you what....I may be a nice guy but I wont just roll over and die so that you can take my title and make your name. I EARNED this championship and I'll be damned if this Sunday at Meta I let some mystery guy take it from me.
I may not know who you are or what your real intentions are, but one thing is for sure...we will all find out when we step inside that cage. And after it's all said and done there will only be one question left....
“How's it gonna feel?”
Cliff Clinton runs out to where he saw the stranger but by the time he got there it was too late. He looks around to see if he could see anybody but it was no use. Whoever she was....she was gone. He had no idea who she was or what she wanted and he really wanted to know why she had been following him lately.
“You alright man?
Seth Evans peaks his head out of his front door.
“You just bolted out of there so fast.”
Cliff nodded his head. Whatever was going on, he wasn’t going to figure it out today.
“Well come on back inside, I need you to spot me on a few reps.”
“I'll be right there.”
Cliff scanned his surroundings one more time and just shook his head. No matter what he did, mystery always seemed to follow him.
Fade.
