-------------Wrestler Info-------------
Wrestler's Name: Mike Machado
Nickname(s): The Lord of Mustache
Gimmick: Machado has a long history of being less than great. He was dubbed "Mediocre" Mike Machado by a prior partner of his during his time in NCW. He's been plagued by that, and even played into that fact for a very long time. He's not intimidating physically, and he doesn't have all the skills that usually come with being a professional wrestler. He has, however, always had the heart to overcome adversity, and occasionally the luck to be successful.
Now, after going through many ups and downs, he has found a partner in Gerald Killingbeck that gives him validation. He's re-committed himself to becoming successful in this business, whether that be in singles competition, or in his tag team that he leads with confidence - Defenders of the Realm. He has renounced the nickname "mediocre" and is quick to correct anyone that uses it.
His in ring ability still leaves much to be desired, but he's always working tirelessly to improve, no matter how small of an improvement that may actually end up being.
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 195 lbs
Place of Birth: Orlando, Fl
Alignment:Face
Pic Base: Ben Stiller (specifically White Goodman from Dodgeball – however any picture of Stiller with a mustache will do.)
Appearance/Attire: Mike isn’t what you would call an “attractive” man. His in-ring attire is mostly purple spandex with black accents, and “MM” across the chest in black text. His relatively out of shape body spills out of the spandex in the most unflattering of ways. Out of the ring his wardrobe hasn’t been updated since the 1980’s. He wears faded polo shirts and jeans if he’s feeling dressy, but you’re more likely to find him in old rock band t-shirts and sweatpants.
Theme Music: Cake – Mustache Man (Wasted)
Entrance: The opening guitar riffs to “Mustache Man” by Cake blare over the PA system, leading into an explosion of pyrotechnics. "Mediocre" Mike Machado stumbles through the smoke that is remaining, fanning his face and gasping for oxygen. The fans give him a mixed but generally positive response; a mixture of pitied cheers and genuinely appreciative roars. A feint chant of "Me-di-ocre - clap clap clapclapclap” starts up as Machado makes it to the ring. He slides through the bottom ropes and begins to do his pre-match stretches, including cherry pickers and windmills.
Special Entrance: Will include later.
Primary Style: Flawless execution of the "punching bag" technique. Machado is not a very skilled wrestler at all. He spends most of his time on the defensive, trying not to get killed.
Secondary Style: Cruiserweight - Machado is attempting to learn the "high-flying" cruiserweight style. It still comes off as ineffective, but recently he has added the "arm-drag" to his repertoire! To be continued...
Other Style:Technical - but only when it comes to his finisher (small package). He has spent his entire wrestling career tirelessly practicing it. It is the perfect small package.
Strengths: He can take a ton of punishment and get back up. Some say that he has sustained head injuries so terrible that the pain receptors in his brain aren’t 100% functional. He has a ton of heart, and always seems to have luck on his side.
Weaknesses: He’s not very strong. He doesn’t know very many wrestling moves. He’s not very big. He’s not very fast, or agile. He doesn’t brawl especially well.
Favourite Moves:{At least 10}
Irish whip followed up by a clothesline that almost always results in Machado being knocked to the ground embarrassingly.
Weak Sleeper Hold that opponents often shrug off.
Fall down Powerbomb - Mike lifts his opponent into the air to attempt a powerbomb, but falls down instead.
Effectively uses the boot to the junk version of the "low blow"
"Slip off" DDT - Machado attempts a DDT, but loses grip of his opponents head and falls on his back.
A Standing dropkick that often results in his opponent standing over him, amused.
Traditional upper-cut to the junk version of the "low blow"
Moonsault that is way too slow and is often sidestepped or reversed via his opponent catching Mike.
Recently added moves in Machado's quest to become a real wrestler:
To be continued...
Trademark Move(s) and Description(s):{5 Max}
Arm-Dragon - It's an arm-drag. He uses it to setup the might of mediocrity.
Mustache Ride - top-rope flying headbutt
Handle-Bar Mustache DDT - Double-arm DDT
Soul Patch Super Kick - Super Kick
Finisher(s) and Description:{3 Max}
"Might of Mediocrity" - small package, inside cradle - whatever you wanna call it. Machado has spent a majority of his time trying to 'perfect' this maneuver. It's all that he really has in his arsenal. He'll often hit it from out of nowhere.
