Kayla sat awkwardly on the edge of the large lounge style chair, Eliza behind her was far more relaxed, her legs kicked over one arm and her head leaning back on the other.... Whilst Kayla's eyes remained trained on her sister, who was slowly pacing whilst talking, Eliza's gaze shifted around the room absently, raising a hand to play with a few strands of Kayla's hair distractedly... Drawing Amber's attention with a sharp start.
"Are you even listening?" Amber pauses and her hands fall on her hips as she surveys the two girls in the chair... "Oi!" Amber yells snapping her fingers at them as Eliza doesn't respond.
Behind her, Kayla feels Eliza stiffen at the action and she bites her lip, half closing her eyes as though preparing for an explosion... But nothing happens, Eliza simply continues playing with her girlfriends hair, ignoring the presence of Amber entirely.
"Liz.." Kayla half mutters, turning her head "Is there something wrong?" Kayla's eyes so much like her sisters, a bright emerald, trace over Eliza's face for a tell, but there is nothing. Kayla chews on the inside of her cheek, waiting for Eliza to respond, who half sighs, shaking her head against the arm of the chair.
"Nada, Chica..." Eliza's eyes finally more to Kayla's sister, who appears to have an 'annoyed school ma'am' look going on "Why would there be something wrong, I mean.. It's not like I have had to listen for WEEKS about how I am a controlling influence... Que Tonto! It's not like I have been accused of hindering your career to push myself, to now sit here and listen to someone do EXACTLY that..." Eliza sneers at Amber "Why in all of the seven kingdoms would there be something wrong Muñeca?!"
Amber's eyes widen a little, but Kayla pulls back almost as if blocking the space between the two of them and shakes her head, her hand falls on Eliza's cheek, but it seems to do little as Eliza shrugs her off, staring Amber down plainly now.
"Liz, that's not what this is..." Kayla sighs again and looks at Amber, widening her own eyes in a silent plea for help "Amber is just..." she looks back at Eliza who has now pulled her feet from the arm of the chair and moves, placing a leg either side of Kayla she sits right up behind her, drawing the girls faces so close they almost touch "It's just Amber has so much more experience... She just wants to help."
Eliza quickly kisses the top of Kayla's head before sliding out from behind her, she circles around Amber and reaches to door, her hand grabbing the handle as she spins back to address the sisters... "Bruja, tirate a un poso... I never asked for your help..."
"Joey!" Eliza flings Joey's office door open, marching across the room her face pink from annoyance and the cold outside.
Malaki Toala sits one side of the desk, his huge frame in a guest chair and his elbows resting on his knees... Joey sits the other, his feet up on his own desk and his hands behind his head, the two stop their conversation immediately and head turn to look at Eliza, who has now reached the desk herself and sits down on it, just to the side of Malaki.
"No please... Don't knock..." Joey waves a hand at the open door and Eliza offers a sarcastic smirk in response. "Was there something you wanted...?" Joey starts as Eliza turns her gaze from Malaki to Joey at last, before nodding her head.
"Yeah, Kay comes and talks shit out with you and - Tattoos notwithstanding - you seem to help... somehow..." as Eliza talks, Malaki scoffs and covers up a laugh at the mention of the tattoos, Eliza shoots him a look with an arched brow "Hey, you aren't off the hook for that either..."
"Me?" Malaki points at himself with mock agahst and Eliza nods her head "Yeah, you.... Caramel Bear.." Eliza sticks her tongue out after reciting Kayla's pet name and Malaki just shakes his head. "Kayla's a big girl, I just gave her the name of an artist..."
"Mmmhmmm," Eliza nods, turning back to Joey "Which brings me to my point... Did I slip into a coma and miss the part where you signed the bitchy Richards to your books?" Joey looks at Eliza slightly confused and Eliza clicks her fingers in a circular motion as if trying to catch him up...
"Noooo? Didn't think so..." Eliza folds her arms over her chest "So you wanna explain why she's in MY home, telling MY girlfriend how to handle MY match?!"
Joey makes an 'oh' expression but is yet to offer anything, Malaki however clears his throat, garnering their attention. "Eliza... Are you... Jealous?"
"What? Ew! No!" Eliza screws up her nose and shakes her head "Don't be fucking disgusting, Kieta estupidio..." Malaki laughs and shakes his head "No, Liz.. not like that. Just..." Eliza turns fully to face Malaki now, leaning forward a little to give him all her attention... Joey being Joey takes this opportunity to glance down and Malaki shakes his head...
"You're all... Pissed because you think Amber is doing everything people have been accusing you of... right?" Eliza nods her head with an eyeroll and makes a 'DUH!' action, which Malaki ignores "Is it possible, in wanting to do what's best for her... You're ignoring the fact that, that is exactly what Amber wants too?"
Eliza bites on her bottom lip, leaning back she chews on it in thought for a moment or two, before slapping Malaki on the arm with a smile "HEY! You're smarter than you look!" Malaki laughs slightly as Eliza winks, sliding off the desk and walking back towards the door. "As you were boys!" she calls out as she leaves...
"What'd you do that for?!" Joey questions, looking incredulous. "Do, what?" Malaki questions "Help?"
"Yeah!" Joey exclaims, "I was thiiiis close" he holds up his thumb and forefinger "To getting them to fight it out.... In a Kiddie Pool.... With Jello..."
"You're disgusting..." Malaki shakes his head as Joey laughs "What? Think of the ticket sales!"
She sits quietly in the middle of the room, the sun set a while ago but she didn't get up to switch on the lamp... Amber is in the kitchen, probably fixing something to eat - but I don't care.. I don't care that she doesn't like me, that she can't bear to see us together, that when she looks at me, she sees something I can't...
She sees the similarities to her...
"Kay?" my voice is soft, humble... I was the child, I stormed out, I need to apologize... "Eliza?" before I can get another word out she is across the room and in my arms, as she flings into them, her hair wafts in my face and the soft scent of apple shampoo ignites my senses.
Her warm body presses against mine as she locks me in a tight hug and my fingertips find her spine, dancing up and down it slowly as I inhale the scent of her hair, as I silently enjoy this moment where nothing matters but her and I, and this closeness...
"You're back then?" her voice pierces the happy little cocoon of Kayla I locked myself in and I sigh, pulling my face from Kayla's neck "I do live here..." Kayla's lips meet mine and I smile slightly, knowing she just wants to shut me up, that she just wants the hug to last a little longer...
"Kayla! Please!" Amber throws a hand up as if offended and Kayla pulls away, but her shoulders are back and my smile grows... "Please WHAT Amber?" she stomps her foot down and her likeness to a small child is adorable "I have had to see you and Renee do a LOT worse!"
"And so have I..." Amber half-whispers, before glancing up at us both "I just don't need to see it, ok?"
I pull Kayla back to me, taking in her scent again before I respond, her warmth washing over me like a calm "It's not because of my gender Kay..." I half whisper against her shoulder "It's because of my Genetics..."
"Dont be Ridi-" Kayla goes to respond, but then looks at her sister, who is not meeting either of our eyes "It's ok Kay.." I nuzzle against her neck, taking in more and more of the Apple smell needing to maintain the quiet calm "I understand... she doesn't know me, why should she trust me..."
"Because I love you..." Kayla says sadly, turning to me so she can take my face in her hands she sighs, looking back at Amber with those same, sad eyes "I LOVE her Amber..."
Amber glances up from the kitchen, her eyes are set hard like stone and in that moment I understand everything "The things we love the most, are often the things that destroy us..."

Issy Issy Issy.... You don't seem to have gotten the message just yet, apparently my English is a little rusty so let me try a different tact...
Te voy a matar!
Not because you are a member of the weird ass little clique that drew my girls sister out of the woodwork... not because you were party to Kayla's beatdown, hell not even because I particularly dislike you... No, Issy, I am going to destroy you because I have fucking had it. I have had enough of being the nice little girl who smiles at the camera because Joey says so...
I am sick to death of being the simpering little back-up for a tattooed counterpart, only to be accused of holding her back! Friends?! Kayla and I aren't Friends! We will fight and we will fuck and we will scream at each other until we are blue in the face... I would kill for her, do ANYTHING for her... But friends?
Girls like me, girls like you.... We don't have friends.
I have Kayla - a very talented if not slightly lost female wrestler with more talent in a single tattoo than your entire stable combined... And you have a weird creeper dude with an affinity for cigars. I have Joey Leroux, who like it or not is one of THE MOST powerful managers in this business and who, occasionally, actually says something helpful... You, have Eternity? A borderline certifiable travelling freakshow who has never, in her entire existence, said anything even remotely helpful...
But she is a former Diamond's champion. You had me there, until last week... When Amber Richards decided that family actually means something, when she came out and knocked your little group on your ass because - and these are her words - 'no one picks on my sister but me.' - Cute.... total bullshit, but adorable all the same, so I guess now I have a former Champion too....
Question is, can I trust my support network any more than you can trust yours?
Dunno about you Maldini, but part of the fun for me this week, will be figuring the answer to that question out... In the most violent way possible.
"Joey!" Eliza flings Joey's office door open, marching across the room her face pink from annoyance and the cold outside.

See, here's the thing - last week you make a huge stinking pile of assumptions that were so far off the mark even Eternity found them to be surreal... But that's ok, growing up the outsider I get not understand people or relationships... Being the one who learned pretty early on sex = power/money, I can completely understand where you are coming from.
And that makes me a little sick.
Because even though you can see with your own jaded eyes that I Love Kayla and that it is entirely about pushing Her to fulfil her potential, you still project! You still take the fact that you are bottom of the totem pole, forgotten in the heap and make it all about how Kayla is... Sad fact Isabella is that if you'd used your brain - something you clearly have - you'd have chosen smarter allies...
You'd have aligned yourself with people who actually give a shit about you, rather than becoming some psycho bitches meat puppet sitting on a hand beside everything I hope never to be... Even her little cubling girlfriend weirds me out and I am like... the MOST accepting person ever... instead you go with the never-a-champion Cougar and the Ringmaster with a hair dye addiction and a mommy complex...
Did the Watchman teach you them decision making skills? Or is that your nature, cause it explains when you aren't the Bounty Hunter that made it onto T.v honey, what with you probably thinking the criminals are really your friends... Here's a little heads up for next time, if you're the one being bent over...
You're the one getting fucked.
Perro, no pasa nada right honey? Because you really don't seem to mind being the one doing all the dirty work and getting none of the credit - see, whereas you bow down to the almighty because she has a couple of main events under her belt, I look at Amber and say...
Yeah, nice to have you, now get in the back of the line.
This is not about me, this has NEVER been about me and that is exactly what you DON'T understand... From the very second I saw her kneeling in that hall, I knew... I knew that one day she would be everything not just to me, but to the world. Kayla Richards is a future Diamond's Champion... and you ask if I would step aside to let her realize that dream.
You fucking bet I would.
But this week, this week is not about me holding Kayla back - Kayla will not even be in the ring, this week it is Eliza v Isabella and you won't have anyone to hide behind - you won't be able to shift focus this time Maldini because as alike as we are, we are NOT the same... You are everything I fought to avoid, everything I never wanted to become.
You are a shell, a fraud... A huge package of wasted potential still lying down for anyone who asks nice enough - sure, I've been a whore and a thief, I've had no one but myself to care for and I learned to be callous and cold... And hell, I really am still just a kid, but you know what that means?
That means I learn, I fight... I get better... The more I grow literally, the more I grow as a person! The better fighter I become, the better warrior I become and in that time, you will waste away, you will be used and discarded, you will fall back into the nothingness that already ate you once...
And tonight, your fall begins.

Of course, this could all be posturing, right Isabella?
I mean, I wouldn't be the first chica to get a few wins and grow an ego the size of a tree... Except, this isn't ego. I know that I am not the best, I am in fact, far from it... But I also know that I am better than you.. Which is all that is needed of me really, isn't it?
A month - or less - ago, I would have been the underdog in this fight, because prior to my debut here, I could count on one hand the number of times I stepped foot in a wrestling ring. Because, before Kayla taught me some tricks, I could barely execute a hold... And yet...
I keep winning, not because of training or technique, but because of pure, unadulterated, skill.
Which sucks for you Issy dear, because for all your combat training - you still lack the skill to beat me. I mean FUCK, I beat Mercedes Vargas! LITERALLY the biggest ego in this company.. two solid PPV's down and I am still yet to be pinned, I have eluded a true loss from day one here, where-as you?
You have stacked losses up like Jenga blocks, one on top of the other, handed to you by people you call friends....
But wait - you know you can't rely on them... right? that's your whole schpiel - it's ok boys and girls! Isabella Maldini KNOWS she's being fucked harder than prison bitch on a Friday night! - So I guess it won't be such a big deal when I hand your ass to you...
At Training Grounds, the numbers are finally even, you will FINALLY have to face me for real... You will FINALLY have to go toe to toe with the green little rookie and walk away the loser. And you WILL walk away the loser Issy my love... Chica, it's pretty damn simple...
I am not the best, I am not the future of the Diamond's Division.... YET. But what I am... Is undefeated, what I am, is growing with every single match... What I am, is learning everything I can about you... and what I AM...
Is undeniably, succinctly, better....
Than You.
