Imperial Wrestling Federation and the de Montfort Family are pleased to announce the hiring of Robert Quinn as Director of Public Relations for the promotion. Mr. Quinn, an alternate on the 1984 Olympic wrestling team, was very successful as the CEO of multi-billion dollar Quinn Oil Inc. until he sold his shares in the family owned business to his younger brother to pursue his life long dream of running a wrestling promotion. In 2011 Robert founded the critically acclaimed and cult favorite Elite Performers in Combat or EPIC for short. EPIC aired for one season on the A&E Network as a combination of a wrestling program and reality television. While EPIC produced solid ratings for the network, A&E felt that professional wrestling would give the network a negative image and cancelled the show. Following the cancellation of EPIC Quinn enrolled in training at the acclaimed Wrestle Factory under the tutelage of Evan Andrews and Tristan "Nighthawk" McDaniel in order to step into the ring himself. His in ring career was not a success as he holds a professional record of 0-3 which could be blamed on his age as well as personal matters which Mr. Quinn refused to comment on.
Mr. Quinn's role within IWF will be to promote House Shows as well as the weekly airing of Sacrifice and Pay Per View Events. He will also provide scouting of outside talent for the possibility of being hired by the organization. In addition to his role as Director of Public Relations, Robert will also hold the title of Co-Director of Social Media with current head of the Heavyweight Division Will Washington. Together Mr. Washington and Mr. Quinn will run the brand new IWF Twitter account which you can follow @weareimperial
