In an age where internet hacking and loss of privacy are now considered the normal price of fame, recent hacking of IWF COO Roberto Verona's personal cloud has revealed that the ruthless corporate tycoon has pledged considerable time and resources into a top secret corporate project to clone legendary professional wrestler and undisputed household name, Spike Kane.
Spike Kane has been the the face of many American and British wrestling promotions since 1996 so perhaps it is no surprise that Mr Verona relies so heavily on the drawing power and almost unrivaled popularity of this dependable marquee name to sell out arenas around the world even in 2015. As the popular saying goes however, nothing lasts forever, and it is this doubt over how many years the God of Xtreme truly has left in this business that has been cited as the reason for the cloning initiative.
Mr Kane has already given so much of his body to the business, hence why he was personally hand-picked by the IWF COO as a prime candidate for the pioneering program in a shrewd move to secure the financial future of his company forever, unfortunately for Mr Verona however, preliminary test results have proven to be less than promising.
At present the experiments are believed to have been contaminated by the DNA of Mike Laszlo who accidentally stumbled across the replicator and mistook it for a personality transplant machine, a move which resulted in a unique hybrid, pictured below:
After the replicator was thoroughly decontaminated and a fresh DNA sample acquired from Spike Kane, Roberto Verona's diligent team of scientists tried again, but once again their attempts have backfired, only this time they have no idea what exactly went wrong and have been left with a younger, huskier replicant, pictured below:

Spike Kane has since withdrawn himself entirely from the project and now sits at home collecting royalty checks from both Mike Laszlo and his replicant who are both currently active in IWF and has gone on record as stating that he believes that the experiments have failed because he is fundamentally unduplicatable.
Roberto Verona however still believes in the project and now seeks the cooperation of Spike's brother, Brad, instead because he has never had a problem with reproducing.
