-------------Wrestler Info-------------
Wrestler's Name: Zach Staples
Gimmick: The only son in a family dynasty of law enforcement, Zach failed the psychological evaluation required to become a police officer after he was questioned about his mothers death 8 years ago. With no fall back plan and nowhere else to go he's putting his martial arts background to good use in the IWF while dealing with an emotionally abusive father and a lot of unresolved personal issues.
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 200 lbs
Place of Birth: Orlando, Fl
Alignment: Neutral
Pic Base: Taylor Kitsch
Appearance/Attire Outside of the ring: Dresses fashionably. V-neck shirts and slacks, that kind of thing.
Appearance/Attire Inside of the ring: A pair of compression tights, half black and the other half red. No shirt, no jewelry, no frills.
Theme Music: Chevelle - The Red
Entrance: "The opening guitar riffs to "The Red" by Chevelle fill the arena. Zach Staples walks out to the top of the ramp, his cold eyes fixed firmly on the ring in front of him. The first verse builds as Zach walks to the ring, muttering to himself under his breath but never letting his eyes wander. He reaches his destination and as the chorus drops he hops up onto the ring apron, throws himself through the middle rope and onto the closest turnbuckle. He throws his hands up into the air and closes his eyes, drinking it all in for a moment before dropping back down to the mat and turning back to the middle of the ring."
Primary Style: Submission / takedown with Judo - Zach will almost always initially try to end a match without causing injury. He's looking for throws and joint manipulation to control an opponent and/or force them to submit.
Secondary Style: Striking with Krav Maga - When pressed Zach will resort to brutal and visceral strikes intended to quickly end the match.
Other Style:
Strengths: Very technically proficient. Able to use opponents momentum and weight against them. Able to reverse lots of holds and throws into his own holds and throws. Because of this he's a very dangerous grappler, especially at the beginning of matches.
Weaknesses: He's vulnerable to strikes when he's looking to get in for a throw. Not incredibly strong or powerful, has an initial reluctance toward being super violent. When he snaps he loses some of his technical prowess and becomes more prone to just walk into an opponents finisher.
Favourite Moves:
Judo - Any technique in judo. Some of his favorites listed below but feel free to just use "Judo throw" or "judo trip" or any other specific technique that isn't listed below but would work well:
Ude Gaeshi (Video) - Throw from collar tie-up
Harai Goshi (Video) - A variation of a headlock takeover
Osoto Gari (Video) - Throw from standing, similar to STO. Can be done unexpectedly and explosively.
Krav Maga - Again I'll list some common techniques below, but feel free to improvise. Krav Maga is basically "street fight" self defense where the goal is to end a fight as soon as possible through brutal and vicious strikes. No need to mention the techniques by name, just call them stiff brutal punches or something similar.
Haymaker punches (right/left hooks)
Hammer First (Video) - A brutal punch variation
Headbutt
Axe Kick (Video) - ...axe kick
Spinning Hook/Heel Kicks
Various Elbow Strikes
Vertical Front Kick (Video)
Wrestling - Stick to suplexes and other "throwing" type moves
German Suplex
Vertical Suplex
Brainbuster
Gut-wrench throw
Finisher(s) and Description:
Sankaku-Jime (Video) - Judo Triangle Choke submission/sleeper - Used often as a reversal, but can be used on an incapacitated opponent as well
Juji Gatagame (Video) - Judo Cross arm lock submission. Can be applied suddenly when standing or flying
Flying Spinning Wheel Kick - (Video)
