A month ago I told the world that I was putting the Diamonds Division on notice. I told them that I was going to start doing that by beating up that pixy Fiona McFly…and I did. Since then, we’ve had a bit of strange booking and my sister has been getting the bulk of the opportunity. I understand that, and that’s why I haven’t complained, but now…it’s my turn. It’s my turn to show the rest of you why it should be me getting mentioned in the Ruby Title conversation and I get to do that by beating the former co-champion, Crystal Hilton.
I’m shown doing the lighter part of my workout, some pushups while wearing a hot pink tank top and a pair of black yoga pants. You know, a girl’s gotta get her sweat on. I finish the final one of the set before sitting up on the back of my legs.
Crystal, you and I met a while back and you were on your roll. You were beating everyone and their mother, and possibly their sister on your way to a quick little Ruby Title run. Unlike this fiery girl in front of you here and now, my fire won’t die out in a matter of days like yours did. You built up this head of steam, you let everyone know who you thought the baddest bitch in the organization and perhaps the world was, and then you backed it up long enough to get to your climax…then like a limp dick you failed to excel.
I shake my head in dismay.
You had the opportunity to do so much. You won the Ruby Title, you were the partial face of this division…because we all know you won’t go any farther in life than this Training Grounds roster.
You don’t have a higher aspiration.
And that’s where you and I differ little girl. You’re fine with being the big fish in a small pond, whereas I’m ready to jump into the ocean and fight the sharks. You want to be Ana Valentine light, but the problem is, you’re even more watered down than that. You’re ultra-light…if that.
Standing up I look down at the beads of sweat that run down my body like ants from a flood. I flex a few times, letting myself see the progression of my body. I look up with a huge smile on my face.
Do you see this Crystal? Do you see this gorgeous body you have to live up to, go against at Training Grounds? This is what a dominant Diamond looks like. This is what it looks like to look gorgeous and still kick ass. This is the body that’s going to ravage you and put you through so much pain that you’ll be forced to run from that ring with tears fluttering from your eyes like a five year old who had her teddy bear taken away.
I point out to the camera as if I were pointing at Crystal herself.
You and I come from the same heritage. We come from the same part of the country, but that’s where the similarities end. That’s where any likeness between the two of us ends. My words have a meaning, an impact, while yours coast through the air with meaningless consequences.
Crystal, you weren’t some hot shot. You had a flash in the pan moment when you beat Firenze. You got lucky. She proved that you, and your career were nothing but wastes of our time…MY TIME!
So as you sit there and contemplate what all of this means for me, for you, for everyone looking on, know this: I am the picture of perfection both in body and mind. I’m a girl with intent, with ambition, with the means to go further than you have EVER gone in your entire career and I plan on using all of my skills to do just that.
Watch me Crystal. Watch me blow by you, climb that ladder, and seize my opportunity. Meanwhile, you can sit there and continue to look up, hoping, wishing that one day that can be you…just know…it never will be.
You see Crystal, not everyone gets what they want out of life. You want real fame, real fortune, not some shot in the dark title run. I want all of that too, but on a personal level, I want everything. I want the marriage, I want the kids. We just can’t all get what we want…or can we?
I’m stubborn Crystal, I will get everything I desire out of life because I feel I deserve it. I don’t care what you think, I don’t care what anyone thinks. The only person who’s thoughts matter, who’s voice matters, is mine.
As the scene fades in I’m shown sipping a latte at my favorite little café.
I’m better than you Crystal and I’m better than a majority, if not all of the Diamonds on this roster, and now that I’m done with that pest Wolverina, it’s time to show each and every single one of you bitches, just who the queen really is.
I’ll see you at Training Grounds in the main event. A main event that I’m not co-headlining with you, but one you’re co-headlining with ME! You’re the Robin to my Batman. You’re the footnote.
Crystal, get it right, you didn’t put yourself in the position you’re in, everyone who’s ever stepped on you to ascend to the top…put you there. I’m going to put you there. There’s nothing you can do to stop the inevitable Crystal. So sit there…and watch.
It’s what you do best.
The scene fades out.

We celebrated the other day, the birth of my sister’s career with her first win. She finally garnered the support of her husband in this ordeal, something I had all along with Brian. He loved me so much and backed me in everything I did. The two places where I did get irritated, where I did envy my sister, is the fact that if she turned to Shawn and said she wanted kids, he’d be all over it. They got married.
Brian has told me, that’s not in his future plans, but he never told me why.
I walked into his office and saw him concentrating hard on the work in front of him. I stepped in and walked around his desk, sitting on the corner of it.
Paige Garcia: What’cha doing?
Brian Godd: Work.
Paige Garcia: Well, duh. Do you have a second?
Brian Godd: I guess.
He set down his pen and sat back in his chair.
Brian Godd: What is it babe?
I grabbed him by the hand and pulled him out of the chair.
Paige Garcia: Come on.
Brian Godd: Where are we going?
Paige Garcia: For a walk, come on.
He followed and the two of us walked out of the room and out of the house. His house was huge. There was a pool, and a garden area with a walkway to walk around it. He was big into helping the environment, and he loves the tropical nature of it all. We walked through the greenhouse, our hands clenched together, swinging them back and forth, a healthy relationship and showing overall.
Paige Garcia: I love moments like this.
Brian Godd: Yeah, they’re peaceful.
We looked around, glancing from side to side. I wanted to ask him about the reason he got married but could never find the right time to do so. Finally I decided it was time to just ask.
Paige Garcia: Can we talk about marriage?
His hand tightened, he rolled his eyes.
Brian Godd: We’ve already talked about it Paige.
Paige Garcia: I know. I know. This is different.
I brushed my hair back behind my ear.
Paige Garcia: Well kind of.
Brian Godd: What do you mean?
Paige Garcia: I was wondering, why?
Brian Godd: Why what? Why won’t I get married?
I was nervous as I nodded. We stopped in our places and he looked down at me as he took a deep breath.
Brian Godd: I’ve been there and done that before.
Paige Garcia: Not with me.
Brian Godd: No, but I’ve been in that situation and I didn’t really appreciate it. It wasn’t for me.
Paige Garcia: You haven’t been in that situation with me though and every person is different. I think we could make something like that work. I think we are better than the girl you had this with before.
I didn’t know who the girl was, and I didn’t care. I knew I was better than her. I knew I could put him in a great position, and great line of thinking. I was the one for him, and him me.
Paige Garcia: I think we should at least look…
Brian Godd: No.
Paige Garcia: But…
Brian Godd: I SAID NO!
His loud voice was enough to scare me and enrage me at the same time. I pushed him away and stormed out as the scene fades.
