Tifa.. I'm going to lay this on your straight. Because you're a good kid who has a lot of promise and a bright future. You have this wonderful innocence about you, the kind that more people in this business.. no, in the world, need. I just hope that you never lose that kind of fire, because once you do, it's never coming back. I know I may not be the best person you can ask to educate you on how this business really works, but I'm going to try, because I don't want this business to kill that fire before it really has a chance to grow.
There's an old saying, "People with power, seek to use that power."
Right now, Katherine Lockheart has the power. She's the head of the Division, and can do pretty much what she wants with us. Or at least, that's how she sees it. The thing is, wrestling is a symbiotic relationship between management and the talent. We subject ourselves to the pain of beating the crap out of each other for others entertainment, the inconvienence of having our lives filmed on a constant basis and everything we do under the microscope, scrutinized by people who more often than not, don't understand. They collect money from our suffering, and the prestige of running a successful business. In return, they pay us for our efforts, provide us with health care services, and are supposed to try and keep us happy.
Sometimes, it doesn't always work out that way.
You can tell a lot about a person's personality and desires by challenging them. Put them on the spot and force them into decisions, and you'll learn their darkest secrets. A person in a position of power will, when challenged, either defend their position, or attack the accuser. I didn't attack her, or tell her she was doing a bad job, I simply asked what was going on. I was confused, asked for clarification.. and in return?
I received punishment.
We didn't start a war where there wasn't one. We asked what the deal was, and got told to shut the fuck up and get in line. We defended our right to ask those questions, and got told that we're insubordinate and must be punished. So let me ask you, if you were in class, and you asked your teacher for an explanation as to why two plus two equaled five, and got told to shut up and accept it..
How happy would you be?
That's what I thought. You can ask any of the Kane family if you like. They'll tell you that it's not always what someone does, but why they did it that matters. I don't mind wrestling my friends. I'll wrestle Aly Gardner every week until people are tired of seeing it. Because to me, Aly Gardner is on her worst day one of the best wrestlers alive. It was why she did it that infuriates me. She tried to break us up. She tried to make us hate each other. She thought our egos would get in the way and we'd crumble.
Not only is that wrong, but that's also a jerk move.
If she wanted to attack me professionally for my insubordination, she could have fined me, suspended me, fired me.. any number of options. She chose not to.
I didn't start a war, I asked a question.
She made this personal. She couldn't handle her authority being challenged, and came out swinging. We're fighting, not because we were attacked, but because we know all too well where this road leads.
It's a place girls like you should never have to go.
Never lose that innocence, Tifa. Because it never comes back. Just be yourself, and let us worry about doing what needs to be done.[/i]

Seven letter word for holiness..
Angelic.
{Ayla looked down at her crossword puzzle. Her mouth silently made the letters out, and then she snapped a look at him.}
Right again, how do you do this?
I'm just that good.
{He would not tell her that she was looking at yesterdays paper, and he'd already finished their home copy.}
Oh really? Sure it has nothing to do with this being yesterdays paper?
{He held his hands up in the air as if to say, you got me.}
Never said I was smart, just good. Maybe I was referring to my memory.
{She stuck her tongue out at him and made a noise. Loud enough for the only other person, an elderly man, in the waiting room to hear. He looked up from his copy of Field and Stream, and shook his head sadly at the couple acting like kids.}
Oh, look, you offended him.
Ask me if I care.
Do you?
Yes. In fact, after this I will head to church and beg for forgiveness for disrespecting my elders.
{That caused the man to look up again, his mouth open like he was about to say something. He caught Falcons blank stare, and decided better of it.}
You're so thoughtful.
Aren't I just?
Miss St. James? Dr. Chandry will see you now.
Ok, thanks. Be right back.

I suppose the same could be said for the person standing next to her this week too. It's.. rather refreshing to see that there are people who think more of enjoying their life than just how much success they can pile into it. Lately it seems that some people get far more concerned with what they can get out of a match that they don't really care what they have to put into it. Just look at the farce of that lingerie match. Everybody claimed they didn't want to do it, but they would, seeing as how winning would have gone much farther towards a belt than not. Choosing to play both the "I'm offended" card and the "I'll do what I have to" in the same breath.
Now tell me, could you then trust anything they said, ever?
I couldn't. And I wouldn't expect them to do the same for me. Which is why I've never governed my worth by any title. Ask any girl here who wasn't in nCw and they'll tell you my time there was worthless because I never carried the Starlets title. The people who were there, sing a different tune. Unless of course their egos demand otherwise. I won't name names. Though I totally should.
The fact is that you two kids have the untapped potential that many only can dream about. This is still fun for you, the excitement, the adrenaline, the thrill of walking down that ramp with all those people looking on. The older you get, the more that fades away. You start to believe that you deserve more, that you don't have to earn things. And that just leaves you broken and bitter, lamenting about how things used to be, versus how you they are and how you think they should be.
Just keep having fun, girls. Do the things you want to. Don't care or concern yourself with what anyone else says. You don't deserve to become older before your time.
Enjoy your hot dogs, Tifa.
Keep trying on new costumes, Jessica.
The time will come when you'll have to fight for things like we do. But it's not today. Just keep having fun. We'll take care of the rest.
Kisses,
Love Ayla.[/i]

So, give it to me straight.. am I or not?
In a word, I don't know.
That's three words.
You and your lip. Well, your hormone levels have the appropriate spikes, but it's too soon to tell. Combine that with the fact you've never been regular, and you're always all over the place, I don't know.
So, wait and see?
That's how I figure it. Of course, you could stop wrestling until I was sure.
.....
Didn't think you would.
