My eyes trail up and brighten as I see her. The long flowing blond hair, her bright sparkly eyes staring at me with an innocent grin. The beautiful flowy bridesmaid dress hung off her perfectly. Kaci tilted her head and gave a small laugh. “What?” I snap out of it and clear my throat, adjusting my collar and giving her a quick smile.
“Nothing, nothing at all….” Kaci blushed and turned away looking into the mirror. “I’m so excited…Amber and Renee are so cute together…” Kaci turns and smiles at me, grabbing my tie and looping it up and under to do a knot. Kaci looks me up and down with a bigger smile, leaning in to kiss my cheek, she pulls back and looks at my face with a pout.
“What’s wrong?...” Kaci studies me, her fingertips reach up and dance along my jaw and up my cheek. “Daddy….I miss the beard….” I can’t help but laugh, my face feeling a little cold without the beard, and now I finally look my age. “You don’t like that I look younger princess?” Kaci scrunches her face and shakes her head.
“No, I like making you blush in public.” Kaci giggles and tilts her head. “Like when I screamed “Daddy don’t touch me there” in the restaurant.” I grunt and shake my head as Kaci keeps giggling. “That wasn’t funny…” I narrow my eyebrows as Kaci bursts into even louder laughter holding her sides. She stops and stands on her tip toes to kiss me lightly.
“I love weddings. Amber is going to look like a princess.” I nod slowly and smile again as Kaci spins around. “I want to be a princess at my wedding…” After a few moments she stops and stutters turning to me in a panic. “Uh I…I didn’t…mean….oh god….” She blushes and turns away. “What’s wrong?....”
“I, I now you aren’t even divorced from Conni yet and what I said….I didn’t…I don’t want to scare you off, because I didn’t mean-“ I pull Kaci into my chest for a hug. “Shhhh” She blushes even redder and buries her face into my chest. “You know something Kaci?” She looks up innocently with a questioning look. “You are already my princess….”
“I have no real idea what to say here.”
“I thought we were elevating these titles. I thought we were making them worth something again. For the last two months my brother and I have been the IWF Tag team champions and we have tried to be proud champions. We have tried to show the world that tag team wrestling matters.”
“The Brothers Black are gone…”
“Scars and Stripes dropped the ball and walked away.”
“And we have been trying to defend the belts against anyone and everyone.. Nighthawk and Kyle Mason tried but the truth is all we are left with are opponents that are untried and untested. They believe they can beat myself and Kronus with no prior experience in this company….”
“That’s just stupid Daddy…”
Titan turns and smiles at Sunny who then goes back to coloring in….
“Myself and Kronus are premier, college educated, former amateur athletes and consummate professionals. I’m not in the business of talking myself or my baby brother up but we are two of the best pure athletes in this business….”
“Let alone this company”
“And we don’t have to resort to childish name calling like you, or outdated and offensive insults about someone’s sexual orientation….”
“But I suppose we should give you boys some concessions right?. After all you’re just “two good ol boys from the deep south”…..you know Alabama allows same sex marriage right?...”
“And while I understand that in this country we have freedom of speech the fact you are still stuck in that horrible mindset astounds me….”
“Plus they think Bailey has princess parts…..”
Titan raises an eyebrow and turns to Sunny with a laugh
“Oh we won’t eve talk about that my little pudding cup….”
“But…but they’re stupid…they think Bailey is a girl….”
“Yes Sunny…”
“She has a will-“
“SUNNY!”
“Sorry Daddy….”
Titan just smiles and shakes his head.
“Either way, you two boys are in for a fight. You can believe in yourselves and talk about winning these titles and your ppv and company debuts but the truth is that until you man up, get in the ring and prove it….”
“Well…you’re just even more ignorant versions of Eddie Black…..”
“And in the end that isn’t going to beat us. What will beat us is teamwork, communication and skill…..and if you don’t have that…well Kronus and I are going to hurt you…..badly…..”
“Andd send you back down south…..”
