Wrestler's Real Name: Corey Adrian Kane
Wrestling Name: Trauma, sometimes stylized in all capitals, or a capital every other letter.
Nickname(s): 'The Monster of the Midwest', 'He'll Break Your Face'
Gimmick: Trauma is 1/3 shoot, 1/3 satire and 1/3 sarcasm. Although he begun his career as a face in the indies, his demeanor changed about six months into his career. Some people blame his change of face on his various concussions and other injuries.
Wrestling for most of his career as Corey 'Trauma' Kane, he represents the epitome of hardcore or ultraviolent wrestling. While sometimes campy and overdone, Corey has never seemed to care and even makes joking remarks like 'I'm so edgy I could cut myself.'. The insinuation is that Kane knows how ridiculous his image and statements can be and doesn't take himself too seriously. Speaking of not taking things too seriously, he rarely gives his opponents much credit. He is well known for his impersonations, and in general will poke fun at nearly every aspect of an opponent. From their name, nicknames, attire, career, family, medical conditions and more. He does tend to stay away from rape jokes, although a casual remark here and there isn't uncommon.
Along with his hardcore/punk image comes a natural disposition against authority. This is something he mostly does for laughs, as he rarely needs any real provocation to stick it to the man. More often than not Trauma is simply a devil may care anarchist, who is very aware of the fact and relishes in it.
It is important to remember that despite the sarcasm and the devil may care attitude, Corey Kane's ability to wrestle, or really borderline torture a human being is no joke at all. Some contenders in the Indy scene have even refused to be booked with him due to fear of injury. Not to mention his sadistic and masochistic tendencies...
As a heel he loves when he is hated. And though most of his career has been heel, he has occasionally turned face to fight a more annoying/obnoxious heel or to rebel against authority with actual justification. He's also won sections of the crowd over even as a heel, whether through humor or endearing risk-taking in the ring.
The mask doesn't serve to hide his identity. He mostly does it because he likes how it looks, and how it makes him look. It's also a nice little tool to influence his opponents ring psychology. Trauma usually wrestles with the mask on, but will appear in promos and such with off, in hand or hanging by his neck, or absent altogether.
Naturally, Trauma relishes a nice hardcore or extreme rules bout. He favors chairs and baseball bats mostly, but who can say no to a table or lighter fluid?
Overall his goal seems to be success by any means he sees fit. And also breaking dreams, naturally.
Apparently the fixation on face-breaking started as a joke in the indies. Who's laughing now?
Height: 6'3
Weight: 213 lbs
Place of Birth: Terra Haute, Indiana
Alignment: Tweener with a heavy heal lean.
Pic Base: Jimmy Havoc, usually masked.
Appearance/Attire: Sleeveless muscle shirt, elbow pads, mask, blue/grey camo jeans and black wrestling boots. He wears a jacket to the ring as well, either white or black.
Theme Music: SlipKnot - Custer, skipping the first verse and going straight to the chorus.
Entrance:
Special Entrance: TBD
Primary Style: Strong Style Hardcore
Secondary Style: Technical
Other Style: High Risk
Strengths:
-Durability: Trauma once took three chair shots to the cranium, another shot from a baseball bat, and kicked out afterwards. He by no means does this on a super regular basis, but it's a nice example of what he can endure.
-Please sir, may I have some more?: Trauma has endured a LOT of punishment already. He's wrestling under 'Trauma', after all. There is no physical pain he's a stranger to taking, or a stranger to inflicting. He's experienced in taking all forms of damage and tends to come back from injury very quickly. He's thus also a master of dealing damage, able to find an opponents weak point and hammer that nail until he breaks through the other side, or breaks the hammer.
Weaknesses:
-Neck Injury: Yeah, he suffered one early in his career and while it doesn't bug him often, it's an ever present chink in his armor.
-Who Cares?: Sometimes he should. He takes a lot of risks and makes a lot of oversights that have cost him victories over the years. Getting in over his head is a habit he's never been able to kick.
-Anger Management: Find a way to get under his skin and you may have jsut wrangled yourself an advantage. Somepeople would argue this is a pretty risky strategy, but since he tends to act like a bull with a red blindfold on when he's pissed, it's no doubt when he's most impulsive and easiest to take advantage of.
Favourite Moves:
-Throat Slam Clutch Backbreaker
-Reverse Neckbreaker
-Enzugiri

Trademark Move(s) and Description(s):
-Another Friday Night: Running sitout powerbomb into the turnbuckle. Kane then rolls backwards and locks the opponent in a STF submission Hold.
-Wee Bit of a Movie Reference: With his opponent down in the corner, Kane grabs the ropes with both hands and repeatedly stomps on his opponents face while singing 'Singing in the Rain'. The pace of the stomping is slow at first, but quickly builds up in speed.
- Curbstomp City: Pretty much as many curbstomps in a row as he can get away with.
- But you ain't got no face, Lieutenant Dan! (Or Movie Reference 2: Back to the Revenge): Top rope double facestomp.
- Twist the Knife: Spear into an Impaler Bodylock. With the opponent down on the mat after the spear, Kane locks his hands together along his opponent's lower back and repeatedly shoves his shoulder into the center of their chest. The aim of the move is to either force the opponent onto their shoulders for a pin, or alternatively continue the lock until the opponent taps out.
Finisher(s) and Description:
-Cradle to the Grave: Cradle DDT ala Teddy Hart.
-Oblivion Knee: Busaiku Knee kick.
-Plastic Surgery Guaranteed: Vanterimator.

Entrance:
'CUT CUT CUT ME UP AND FUCK FUCK FUCK ME UP'
"Custer" by SlipKnot explodes onto the PA and only seconds later Trauma calmly emerges from the back. Red strobes light up the ramp area as he makes his way down to the ring, cracking his knuckles and quite obviously smirking behind his mask. He takes his time walking all the way around the ring, giving the occasional threatening stare to the crowd before he shrugs off his jacket and drops it to the wring floor. He pushes the jacket under the ring apron with his foot and then ascends the steps to the arpon, where he promptly climbs the turnbuckle to sit at it's peak, where he remains until a few moments after the bell rings.
