PRE-SHOW MATCHKayla Richards vs Joanna Jane Tarzanna
Kayla Richards wins via pinfall. In a repeat match Joanna came with a lot more fire this week, getting a decent level off offence in early on, but Kayla's nous saw through in the end as she struck when it mattered and picked up the victory.
SINGLES MATCH Alexander Atwater vs Rob Diamond
{ Jekyll and Hyde by FFDP hits the pa as the lights start to strobe pink. Rob Diamond slowly struts out onto the ramp as the crowd pops huge for him, he smiles and looks around the arena and slowly raises his arms over his head. Just as Jekyll and Hyde kicks into high gear he brings his arms down in an epic crotch chop as pink pyro explodes in an X behind him. He bgins his march down the ramp slapping hands with fans holding signs for him and wearing his awesome t-shirts. He points here and there making certain women feel special and wet in their pants as he gets to the ring and rolls in under the bottom rope. }Alyson Valance: Introducing to the ring at this time, weighing in at two hundred and four pounds, he is THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! The King of Diamonds, The Xtreme American Dream, The Bloody Cinderella, The one and only, the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end, The baddest mama jama in the multiverse, You can't believe there's none better, Better than Butter, The Mad Titan, The Dark Lord of the Sith... THE INFAMOUS ROB DIAMOND!!!!!
{ Rob stands in the middle of the ring and asks the crowd for silence, he takes a mic as the crowd dies down and so does his music... }Rob Diamond: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and single ladies of ALL AGES!!!!!..... LETS GET READY TO SUCK IT!!!!!!!
{ He tosses the mic and hits one final crotch chop as the crowd goes nuts. } Vasco Dias: It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Rob Diamond in an IWF ring.
Terri Morasco: But damn is it good to see him Vasco!
Vasco Dias: That it is. He’s been gone for about two months and the fans seem to have missed the hell out of him.
Terri Morasco: They haved, and he’s going to get one hell of a return match. He’s got his hands full with the American Assassin tonight!
{The “Justinian Code” By Byzantine hits the speakers and Alex Atwater storms out from behind the curtain and marches towards the ring with a purpose. As he comes down the ramp, he smacks some hands of the fans and stops as a child waves an American flag. Atwater stops, makes a big show of saluting the kid and his flag, and then continues on to the ring. Atwater slides into the ring as the crowd cheers. }Vasco Dias: There is Alexander Atwater, and he looks like he is ready for a fight!
Terri Morasco: Look at that Vasco. There’s no doubt that the fans love him and he loves our fans.
Vasco Dias: He’s certainly ready to go tonight. From what I hear, he demanded to be put in a match
Terri Morasco: The guy has heart, no one can deny that. Let’s hope it’s enough, because here we go!
{The match kicks off with Diamond and Atwater meeting in the center of the ring. Atwater extends his hand towards Diamond, but Diamond swats it away. The two men tie up and Atwater immediately pushes Diamond back into the corner. The ref steps between them, and as he does, Diamond uses the refs intervention as a means to jab a thumb into Atwater’s eyes. Atwater stumbles away, clutching at his eyes, and Diamond takes advantage of it and runs up behind Atwater, hitting him with a Russian leg sweep. Atwater hits the mat hard, and Diamond takes advantage of it, rolling the Russian leg sweep into a reverse chin lock.}
Vasco Dias: Atwater with a show of respect that Diamond doesn’t follow. But this is underway and Atwater is using his size to his advantage.
Terri Morasco: And there goes one of the dirtiest players in the game opening up his bag of tricks!
Vasco Dias: What a Russian leg sweep! Atwater’s head must be pounding
Terri Morasco: Diamond has in a chin lock here and he’s not letting go.
{Atwater fights his way out of the chinlock, only to be forearmed in the back of the head by Diamond. Diamond picks up Atwater and whips him into the ropes. Atwater ducks under Diamonds clothesline. Diamond bends down for a back body drop, and Atwater nails him with a kick that stands him upright. Atwater drives a nasty forearm into Diamond that stumbles him backwards. Atwater charges and nails Diamond with a wicked lariat that turns Diamond inside out. Atwater circles around Diamond as he gets up. Atwater grabs Diamond by the hair and starts to drag Diamond up. Just as Atwater gets Diamond to his knees, Diamond reaches up and rakes Atwater’s eyes, causing Atwater to back away again, holding his eyes.}Vasco Dias: That thumb to the eye has effected Atwater
Terri Morasco: Atwater is battling back and just nailed Diamond with a wicked clothesline
Vasco Dias: Atwater is in charge now
Terri Morasco: And Diamond shuts that down with more eye work!
{Diamond pops up and sees that his opponent is trying to regain his eye sight. Diamond catches Atwater as he turns around and hits him with a spinning back fist that levels Atwater and has him rolling out of the ring for safety. Diamond sets up and runs, hitting Atwater with a baseball slide that sends him back into the guard railing. Diamond slides out of the ring and nails Atwater with a forearm, before bouncing him off the turnbuckle and rolling him back into the ring. Atwater starts to get up almost immediately, but Diamond climbs onto the ring apron and dives over, wrapping up Atwater with a sunset flip.}

{Atwater kicks out} Vasco Dias: Diamond is putting the works on Atwater!
Terri Morasco: What a baseball slide! Things are already starting to go wild!
Vasco Dias: Diamond could have him here!
Terri Morasco: Atwater kicks out! This match is still going strong.
{Atwater gets up just as quickly as Diamond does, and as Diamond comes in to attack, Atwater rifles off a leg kick that cracks off of Diamond’s leg and buckles his knee. Atwater launches another roundhouse at his head. Diamond ducks under it, but Atwater spins around and drives his foot into Diamond’s back, driving him face first into the mat. Atwater grabs at Diamond’s leg and hooks in a Texas cloverleaf. Atwater cranks back on the hold, and Diamond struggles against it, trying frantically to break loose or get to the ropes. After a very long thirty seconds, Diamond grabs the ropes and Atwater lets go of the hold.}Vasco Dias: Atwater is getting back into this battle. He doesn’t want to cave to Rob Diamond so easily
Terri Morasco: Atwater with a huge kick to Diamond!
Vasco Dias: He’s got the cloverleaf hooked in! Diamond could tap here!
Terri Morasco: He got to the ropes and Atwater breaks the hold!
{Atwater goes over to Diamond and goes to pick him up, when he does, Diamond pokes him in both eyes with the peace sign. Atwater stumbles away again and turns around, getting his vision clear. Diamond comes in, and with both fingers primed for another eye poke, he launches the attack. Atwater puts his hand up in front of his nose in the classic Three Stooges eye poke defense. Diamond doesn’t connect and the look on his face shows it. Atwater winds back and cracks Diamond with a right hand that levels Diamond. Diamond pops back up and walks into a t-bone suplex. Diamond gets back up in a daze and turns around, walking into Atwater who hits him with a gargoyle suplex. Diamond hits the mat hard and rolls into the corner, using the turnbuckle to pull himself up. Atwater charges at him, and Diamond pulls the ref into the corner. The ref gets crushed by Atwater, and then falls flat in the ring. Atwater looks beside himself as he tries to wake the referee up.}Vasco Dias: Diamond is showing his mastery of the eye poke and all the dirty tricks!
Terri Morasco: Diamond went to that well one too many times! Atwater with shades of Mo Howard!
Vasco Dias: Oh, the ref is down! This is going to work to Diamond’s advantage
Terri Morasco: Atwater inadvertently squashed the ref. There’s no rules now!
{Atwater gets up, realizing the ref is down for the count. Atwater turns around, only to be kicked in the balls by Diamond. Atwater doubles over at the kick to the groin, and Diamond hooks his head. Diamond dives out and drives Atwater face first into the mat with a Diamond cutter. Diamond gets up, looking pleased with himself and rolls Atwater over. Diamond hooks the leg and goes for the pin attempt. As he does, the ref is no where to be found. Diamond gets up, seeing the flaw in his own plan and walks over to the ref, slapping him and getting him to wake up.}Vasco Dias: Ball Kick! Diamond Cutter! Exactly as he said it would happen!
Terri Morasco: The ref is down and out! There’s no count coming!
Vasco Dias: He could have gotten the three count right there!
Terri Morasco: The ref couldn’t get the job done and Diamond has to go back to the drawing board!
{Atwater gets back to his feet as Diamond gets the ref coherent again. Diamond turns around and heads towards Atwater. Diamond attempts to boot Atwater in the balls, but Atwater lifts his leg and blocks the attempt. Atwater ducks under a forearm attempt by Diamond and takes a step to the side of him. Diamond turns to face Atwater, and Atwater launches off the mat, hitting Diamond with the Oblivion Beckons flash kick! Diamond hits the mat hard and Atwater dives on him to pin him}ONE

LAST CHANCE SALOON
HEIR TO THE THRONEEl Guernica vs Kyle Mason vs Jack Gaither
{As 'Lord Of The Land' by Kevin McLeod hits, Guernica appears on the top of the stage, looking down. He looks up and lets his cape drop, before skipping shallowly down to the ring, slapping the hands of fans who are desperately leaning over the high-five the fan favourite. The Gladiator Of Lucha Libre enters the ring, climbs to the top turnbuckle, and raises his arms to the sky and then to his side, before jumping down to the ring, facing his opponent.}Terri Morasco: This is it--the Last Chance Saloon! One of these three folks is gonna trek onward to Heir to the Throne...
Vasco Dias: ...and the other two jabronies will be cryin' like babies.
{AFI - Miseria Cantare blares through the PA system as Kyle Mason steps out from behind the curtains. Natasha appears behind him as he thrust his hands in the air. Natasha runs her hand on his chest before kissing him on his cheek and joining his side as he walks down to the ring. Mason hops up on the ring apron and sits on the ropes to allow Natasha in the ring. Natasha smiles at Mason as she climbs up on the ring apron and slowly bends over in front of Mason before stepping into the ring. Kyle joins her in the ring as streamers fly into the ring. Natasha gives Kyle a few words of advice before leaving the ring and Kyle leans against the turnbuckle waiting for the match to begin.}Vasco Dias: Uh-oh...looks like Kyle might be having a change of heart after seeing Guernica in the ring!
Terri Morasco: C'mon now! This is just plain cowardice!
{Mason tries to back away from Guernica, hopping out of the ring and inching backwards up the ramp. The fans derisive whistling—common during A.C. Milan home football matches—becomes more pronounced. Yet those whistles turn to cheers as Jack Gaither—sporting an aforementioned custom A.C. Milan home kit—hops over the barricade and sneaks up from behind. He grabs Kyle by the hair and forcefully drags him toward the ring and in, where Guernica awaits.}[DING!]
{With a sly smirk on his face and a brief nod, Jack pulls up a chair and watches as Guernica goes to work, applying a series of sharp front kicks to Mason's ribs before sending him for the ride. The native Albertan bounds off the ropes and into a dropkick—followed by a second and then the trifecta! Mason is able to kip up to his feet after each one and continues to charge forward, only to wind up receiving an armdtag takedown, a second, and then the hat trick! Holding onto the left arm of his opponent, the longtime Tijuana resident tries to transition into more of a standing armbar hold, but Kyle reverses the hold into a hammerlock. Yet his hammerlock is reversed as well, and eventually Kyle finds himself on the deck courtesy of a belly-to-back Guernica suplex and bridge.}1...!
2...!!
NOPE!!!
{The masked man continues his roll, pushing Kyle toward the buckles before taking him back down to the mat with a running bulldog, transitioning the move into a ground headlock.}Terri Morasco: Guernica showin' off some moves!
Vasco Dias: And that idiot Jack doesn't want to join in on the fun!
{The zebra-shirted man checks to make sure that this grounded headlock isn't a chokehold before asking Mason if he wants to quit, The ex-MMAer shakes his head “no” as the pressure on the hold tightens, but the Canadian manages to pull himself back up to a knee before finding his way back to somewhat of a vertical base—only to wind up on the business end of a Guernica-endorsed inverted hurracanrana that he dubs his Hurricane Neckbreaker! Guernica goes for the pin...}1...!
2...!!
KICKOUT!!!
{Guernica shakes his head at the count, and that moment of hesitation on his part costs him as he takes a quick poke to the eyes. Kyle takes control, using his MMA-inspired background to its full potential here with a series of Muay Thai-style kicks and knees to Guernica's ribs before shooting him in; the Mexican bounces off the strands and into a quick snap suplex! Yet Mason holds onto his opponent just long enough to apply a second snap suplex—and then, he gets his own trifecta! Kyle heads up to the top rope and performs a front-facing, 360-degree moonsault, landing on top of the masked man and going for the pin!}1...!
2...!!
NO!!!
{Kyle continues the attack, , sending Guernica to the corner—and following it up with a running boot to his rival's schnozz! The Tijuanan stumbles out of the corner and into a superkick, which sends him to the canvas as Jack Gaither continues watching from the outside, unimpressed by Mason's MMA skills.}Vasco Dias: Look at this—that MORON is still outside the ring!
Terri Morasco: Ya know somethin'...Jack might be doing the smart thing by picking and choosing!
{Kyle gives the native North Texan a glare, telling him to get his ass in the ring before picking Guernica back up and placing him into a fireman's carry! He smirks at Jack before transitioning the maneuver into a devastating wheelbarrow facebuster before going for the pin!}1...!
2...!!
OH!!!
{Kyle becomes increasingly agitated at the ref, but he continues his assault on Guernica anyway! He tries to rip off his rival's mask as the Milan audience cascades with whistles and derisive superior football-style chants. But Jack Gaither decides that Kyle Mason has had enough playtime with Guernica and and springs into action, leaping off the top rope and connecting with an amazingly sharp flying kick to the side of the head! Guernica rolls out of the ring to collect his thoughts and reposition his mask as Jack takes control, taking off his leather belt as Mason runs in fear to the corner!}Vasco Dias: Give that maniac a red card and a sending-off!
Terri Morasco: Jack's got his belt, folks! It's time to go to the woodshed!
{Indeed, Kyle doesn't get very far as Jack whaps him across the backside with that belt—over and over and over again! At this point, even the referee becomes slightly amused as the Arlington resident tosses his strap off to the side and backs his opponent into the corner, firing off a series of stiff, sharp rights and lefts before sending him to the opposite corner! Mason crunches the buckles hard and bumbles forwards Gaither, who turns him sideways with a heavily-modified corkscrew suplex variant that causes the Canadian to arch his back in pain! Eventually, Jack—also sporting denim blue jeans and snakeskin cowboy boots for this occasion—heads up to the top buckle and flies off, hitting Mason with a leg drop before going for the pin!}1...!
2...!!
KICKOUT!!!
{Jack continues his attack, dragging Mason back to his feet and quickly applying a sharp vertical suplex—followed by a second and then the trifecta! The ex-QB holds onto his opponent's head before taking him back down to the deck with a swinging neckbreaker!}Vasco Dias: Borin'!
Terri Morasco: Wow—ain't you the opinionated one tonight?!
{But an impressed Guernica watches from the outside as Jack springs off the third rope, hitting Kyle with a devastating corkscrew-like variation of a headscissor takedown, flipping him sideways before going for the cover!}1...!
2...!!
NOPE!!!
{Guernica springs back into the ring before Gaither can turn things into a Spaghetti Western-style mismatch, hitting Jack on the side of the head with a HUGE missle dropkick that sends him flying toward the edge of the apron! The Mexican immediately takes advantage, hitting Kyle with his patented TIJUNA THUNDER Tiger Bomb variant! Yet just as the Mexican native isa bout to go for the win, Jack leaps off the ropes and connects with a one-legged Mantis Kick that sends Guernica flying out of the ring! With nobody in sight, Jack pins the downed Mason!}1...!
2...!!
THREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
[DING-DING-DING!!!]
Vasco Dias: Man...
Terri Morasco: And Jack Gaither has made it into Heir to the Throne!
{Rage Against the Machine's “Bulls on Parade” plays as Jack warmly grins to his army of supporters in San Siro before hopping out of the ring and patting Guernica on the back, giving him some words of encouragement before making his exit.}LAST CHANCE SALOON
HEIRESS TO THE THRONEMirsada Tanovic vs Mercedes Vargas vs Emma Danielson
Mercedes Vargas wins via pinfall over Emma Danielson. This was an incredibly close fought match which could have gone either way throughout. Emma Danielson hit hard and early, taking out Vargas leaving the brawling veteran in the ring with the relative rookie. Emma took control early on but eventually Mirsada was able to find an opening and almost managed to pick up a victory here after putting Emma down but just before the three count was made Vargas yanked her leg and pulled her out of the ring, striking her face against the ring apron before sliding in and finishing Emma off to book her spot in the final four of the Heiress to the Throne.

{"Devil" hits the PA system and red lights flash over the crowd and the arena. After a few brief seconds, Double M comes out and raises his hands up and throws them back down before running down to the ring and slides in legs first. He then poses up on the turnbuckle and gives the peace sign before dropping down to his feet on the mat.}Vasco Dias: Hey It's Double M...Mike Madness...
Terri Morasco: I wonder why he's out here?..he doesn't have a match tonight...
{Mike grabs a microphone and arrogantly steps around the ring.}Mike Madness: I'm sure you're all wondering why the best professional wrestler on this planet isn't competing tonight. See I am what you would call a "special attraction". I am used to bring in the money. I mean look at me 6'5 250 pounds, in amazing shape......I am a real mans man. Yet I stand backstage and watch fake "men" like Kronus....
{The crowd pops for Kronus' name, Madness shakes his head and laughs to himself.}Mike Madness: No..no...no. See that is the problem with this company. You people want to cheer for a man like Kronus with his little sob stories when you should be cheering for the best of the best....me....
{Sweet dreams by marilyn manson hits and Kronus strides out with a micin hand, his brother Titan and Sunny behind him}Kronus: You're a "real man" huh?. The "best of the best"?. Mike the fact you are that delusional means I have to do the world a favor and put you down. See I am going to take over the world with my brother and its going to start with you....and I will show YOU what a real man looks like....
{Kronus drops the mic and he and Double M stare at one another as we cut to a commercial}INVICTUS CHAMPIONSHIP
LADDER MATCHAaron Owens (c) vs Mohamed Al-Thani
{The Qatari national anthem begins to play and the fans immediately begin to boo. Mohammed Al-Thani walks out from behind the curtain with Divine by his side. The fans continue to lose their minds with hatred as Al-Thani walks down the ramp and climbs into the ring.}Terri Morasco: Here comes the Pearl Gladiator. He sure looks like he’s ready for a war tonight.
Vasco Dias: With as vicious as his words were this week, I’m thinking his actions in the ring are going to be just as vicious.
Terri Morasco: He certainly wants that Invictus Championship, and he’s even used his power within the company to make it happen.
Vasco Dias: He’s going to have one hell of a tough road to make it happen, because Aaron Owens isn’t just going to turn that title over.
{"Blackstar" hits and Owens bursts from behind the curtain, bouncing up and down atop the stage area. He makes his way down the ramp, slapping the outstretched hands of the fans, and quickly scales the ring steps before stepping through the ropes and making his way towards the nearest corner. He continues to bounce in place while waiting for the match to begin.}
Vasco Dias: And here comes our Invictus Champion! And the fans are going wild!
Terri Morasco: He’s going to have a hard time tonight, but he looks ready for the challenge.
Vasco Dias: Terri, this could get ugly tonight.
Terri Morasco: We’ll find out soon enough. There’s the bell.
{The match opens with Al-Thani and Owens meeting in the center of the ring. The two tie up, and near immediately, Al-Thani starts to lay into Owens with forearms that back him up into the ropes. Al-Thani whips Owens across the ring and nails him with a back elbow as he comes back in. Owens pops up, right into an Al-Thani arm drag. Al-Thani clamps down on the arm and holds in an arm bar. Owens fights his way out of the arm bar, and hits Al-Thani with a couple of forearms and shoots for the ropes. Owens attempts a dropkick, but Al-Thani steps to the side, catches him in mid air, and hits him with a wicked back breaker.} Vasco Dias: Al-Thani is overpowering Owens here. This looks like a sound strategy on Al-Thani’s part.
Terri Morasco: Owens looks to be battling back despite the power distance.
Vasco Dias: What a move by Al-Thani!? He showed such skill executing that backbreaker.
Terri Morasco: Owens’ back is surely in a lot of pain.
{Al-Thani picks up Owens off the mat and pushes him back into the corner. Al-Thani starts to lay into Owens with chop after chop that leaves Owens’ chest bright red. Al-Thani whips Owens across the ring to the other corner. Al-Thani charges and catches a boot to the face for his efforts. Al-Thani turns around and Owens takes the opportunity to bulldog Al-Thani face first into the mat. Owens grabs Al-Thani and picks him up, whipping him into the ropes. Owens follows after him and nails him with a quick clothesline. Al-Thani hits the mat and rolls out of the ring, shaking his head as he does. Owens claps and the fans get into the rhythm of it. Owens charges and dives over the top rope, hitting Al-Thani with a suicide dive. The fans go crazy as Owens pops back up.}
Vasco Dias: Owens capatilized there on Al-Thani’s mistake, and the Pearl Gladiator took a nasty kick to the jaw for it.
Terri Morasco Owens is after Al-Thani and it doesn’t seem there’s a lot of answers for it at the moment.
Vasco Dias: The crowd is really getting into this. I think they know what’s coming.
Terri Morasco: Suicide dive! The crowd is going crazy and Al-Thani is questioning if he made the right decision at the moment.
{Owens grabs one of the ladders from outside and slides it into the ring as Al-Thani gets back to his feet. Owens turns around, only to catch a shot to the gut. Al-Thani grabs Owens and whips him into the steel barricade. Owens hits the barricade hard and drops down. Al-Thani picks up Owens, and as he gets Owens to a bent over position, Al-Thani drives his forearm down across Owens back, leaving him dropping face first at his feet. Al-Thani picks up Owens and whips him at the steel ring stairs. Owens jumps on the stairs, and pops backwards, throwing a moonsault at Al-Thani. Al-Thani catches Owens on his shoulders, takes two steps, and powerslams Owens down across the steel stairs.}Vasco Dias: Business is picking up. We have a ladder in the ring.
Terri Morasco: Al-Thani is battling back, and putting a hurting on the Invictus champion.
Vasco Dias: Owens counters, he’s going high risk here!
Terri Morasco: Al-Thani just murdered Owens’ on those stairs! There’s no way he’s getting up.
{Al-Thani slides back into the ring and grabs the ladder. He walks to the center of the ring with the ladder in his hands. Al-Thani pops open the ladders legs and takes a moment to position it under the Invictus championship. Al-Thani starts to climb the ladder, rung by rung, reaching the halfway mark. As he does, Owens gets up and grabs another one of the ladders from outside the ring. Al-Thani steps another step higher, and Owens launches the ladder at him. The top of the ladder hits Al-Thani and sends him tumbling off the ladder and down to the mat with a big crash.}
Vasco Dias: Al-Thani is setting up that ladder, and Aaron Owens can barely move.
Terri Morasco: This could be over already!
Vasco Dias: Owens has a ladder! He’s still in this fight!
Terri Morasco: Throwing a ladder at someone is surprisingly effective.
{Owens slides back into the ring, and wastes no time in charging at Al-Thani as he gets up. Owens dives into him, hitting him with a wicked forearm. Al-Thani drops to his knees and Owens starts to lay into Al-Thani with kick after kick, back to chest and back again. Al-Thani drops down face first on the mat as Owens stops his kicking. Owens grabs one of the ladders and wedges it between the ropes near the turnbuckle. Owens grabs Al-Thani and drags him over to the corner, and wedges Al-Thani between the legs of the ladder. Owens points to the top turnbuckle and the crowd starts to buzz with anticipation. Owens climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and jumps off, driving down on the ladder and Al-Thani with a wickedly stiff double stomp.} Vasco Dias: I think Aaron Owens knows if he doesn’t kick it into overdrive, he might not walk out of the match tonight!
Terri MorascoWhat a vicious series of kicks! Al-Thani probably can’t breathe worth a good god damn!
Vasco Dias: What is going on?! We have a Qatari ladder sandwich!
Terri Morasco: The Hardmode Hero showing shades of Major Bison here at Lineage!
{Owens lands in the center of the ring and picks up the ladder that had been knocked over by his antics in throwing one at Al-Thani. Owens sets the ladder up and starts to climb up the ladder. Al-Thani gets up from between the ladders, and stumbles towards the ladder as Owens gets close to the top. Al-Thani plows the ladder over, and Owens goes down with the ladder and ends up crotched over the top rope. Al-Thani walks over and starts to bounce Owens on the ropes until Owens comes off of it and tumbles into the center of the ring.}
Vasco Dias: Owens is looking to cash in here. He’s climbing that ladder!
Terri MorascoAl-Thani is up and he doesn’t look like he’s doing well with it.
Vasco Dias: What goes up, must come down! And Owens came down jimmies first across the top rope!
Terri Morasco: Al-Thani wants this Vasco, and I don’t think he’s quitting until he gets it!
{Al-Thani picks up Owens and hits him with a couple of chops. Al-Thani whips Owens into the ropes. Owens comes back and ducks under Al-Thani’s back elbow. Owens comes back and leapfrogs over Al-Thani. Al-Thani shoots into the ropes himself with Owens back turns. Both men come charging at each other, both clubbing each other with clotheslines at the same time that leaves them both leveled and laying in the center of the ring.}
Vasco Dias: Owens is battling back, or at least escaping at the moment.
Terri Morasco: Double clothesline! Both men are down in the center of the ring! Who is going to come to life first?!
{Owens is the first to get up and sets up the large ladder under the Invictus title. Owens starts to climb the ladder, but Al-Thani gets up slowly. With Owens near the top of the ladder, Al-Thani gives the ladder a shove and it topples over. As the ladder topples over. Owens goes flying over the top rope and down through the announcers table. Al-Thani sets the ladder back up and starts to climb, finally reaching the top and ripping down the title just as Owens starts to pull himself from the wreckage.}MAN OF STEEL CHAMPIONSHIP
MAN OF STEEL MATCHJake "The Ace" Conway (c) vs Nighthawk
{The lights in the arena dim with the opening chords and then start to flash red, green, yellow and purple in rotation as the synthesised guitar riff kicks in. The titantron shows the silhouette of a woman with her hair blowing across her face and holding a playing card between the forefingers of her right hand, she flips it over in her fingers to reveal the Ace Of Spades, the symbol grows out of the card and gets larger with every repetition of the guitar riff until it envelops the screen. Huge flame pyros explode either side of the ramp as cards begin to fall from the rafters. As the lyrics to 'Voodoo Child' by Brick + Mortar begin, the circular platform on which The Ace is stood with his back towards us and the Union Jack draped across his shoulders, starts to turn.
Well I stand up next to a mountain...
The platform is decorated to look like a roulette wheel.
Well I stand up next to a mountain...
Slowly it spins a full one-eighty degrees as we now see The Ace take a swig from the water bottle in his right hand and spit the water in the air. After this Kathy Conway appears on stage beside her husband and takes his hand as she leads him off the platform. He throws the bottle to one side.
Well I pick up all the pieces, maybe even make, maybe there's a little sand...
Well I pick up all the pieces, maybe even make, maybe there's a little sand...
The couple walks down through the shower of falling cards, hand in hand, Kathy carrying her husband's rake in her other hand.
Well I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand
Well I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand
The Ace gets to the foot of the ramp and the cards stop falling, the couple share a kiss before The Ace enters the ring himself, climbing the steel steps and getting the offcial to part the ropes for him as he steps through them. He walks over to the adjacent turnbuckle, climbing the second rope whilst an armed Kathy stays at ringside.
The Ace raises both arms in the air.
'Cause I'm a voodoo child, yeah
Lord knows I'm a voodoo child
'Cause I'm a voodoo child
Lord knows I'm a voodoo child
The Ace climbs down and hands the flag over to a stagehand before he walks to the middle of the ring, and the song fades...}Vasco Dias: There he is the Man of steel champion...a beacon of how to carry yourself as a champion in this day and age. Unlike Renee Pleasant...
Terri Morasco: What?.....Jake Conway is an arrogant pig....
Vasco Dias: WATCH YOUR MOUTH!....
{As his opponent stands in a neutral corner the lights in the arena slowly click off, one by one, as the sold-out crowd rises to its feet in anticipation of what is to come. And as the opening strains of "Holding Out For A Hero (The Autumn Wind Intro)" by Emery boom out over the sound system Nighthawk walks out through the curtain and stands at the top of the ramp, hands on his hips as he looks all around at the sold-out crowd with the barest hint of a smile on his face. Walking down the ring, shaking hands with the fans in the first 2 rows of the building and making a special effort to shake the hands and give out hugs to the kids in the front row as behind him blue-and-white Roman columns of fireworks go off, the "Wrestling Machine" finally gets to the ring and stands on the top turnbuckle while raising his left hand above his head as the crowd chants "Best in the World."}Vasco Dias: It really steams me how the fans chant "best in the world" at this guy...what has he done in IWF?...NOTHING...
Terri Morasco: It's a sign of respect from the fans that have seen him in companies outside of IWF, there is a whole world out there Vasco...
Vasco Dias: But no one cares!....IWF is THE company...no one gives a crap what Mexican restaurant or barn he's performed in....
{The steel cage gets lowered and Nighthawk bounces on the balls of his feet limbering up, they come into the center of the ring and Ace laughs at the smaller man. Ace then swings a right hand but Nighthawk ducks and hits the ropes, Ace ducks for a back body drop, Nighthawk flips over Ace's back landing behind him. SINGLES MATCHRenee Pleasant (c) vs Mike Laszlo
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen, the following is your MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING…and is for the IWF IMPERIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
{"Cult of Personality" by Living Colour hits the sound system. Mike Laszlo walks out onto the stage, followed by Alexis Caffrey, to a negative reaction from the crowd. Surveying those who boo, a grin comes over his face as he raises the Joker in the Pack Briefcase over his head. He then heads for the ring with a confident walk, ignoring the outstretched hands of some fans along the isle, Alexis by his side holding his other hand.}Alison Valance: Making his way to the ring, accompanied to the ring by the IWF Diamonds Champion Alexis Caffrey, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing 237 pounds…The Joker in the Pack winner…MIIIIKE LASZLOOOOO!
{The two get to the end of the ramp before Mike lifts Alexis onto the apron. She enters the ring as Mike slides the case under the bottom rope and rolls into the ring. He climbs up the corner nearest the entrance ramp and poses for the crowd amassing a magnitude of booing. He jumps down and goes to the opposite corner and does the same, garnering the same reaction. With a sly grin on his face he jumps down and backs into the corner, clasping his hands together and twirling his wrists as he gets ready for the match, Alexis dropping down to ringside.}Terri Morasco: The challenger looks ready, even if he did get this match based on who he is friends with.
Vasco Dias: It doesn’t matter how he got it Terri. All that matters is that he’s here and he has the chance to become the first ever two time Imperial Champion…a feat that Spike Kane couldn’t do last month.
Alison Valance: And his opponent…
The opening bar of I Smell a Massacre hits the speakers as red lights swirl around the crowd, before settling on Reñee Pleasant who stands in the middle of the stage, Amber Richards by his side, smirking at the crowd as a chorus of cheers rise up.
Reñee shrugs and walks down the ramp with purpose, he jumps up onto the apron and holds down the middle rope for amber before he enters the ring through the top and middle ropes. He approaches the referee for a moment and towers over him with a laugh, before walking away, shaking his head still laughing as the music fades out.
Terri Morasco: Now here’s a champion we can be proud of.
Vasco Dias: Why because he finally shut up Alex Jones…again, and beat a fat Spike Kane?
Terri Morasco: Would you stop?
{The bell rings and the two men get ready, staring one another down. They head to the center of the ring where Mike starts to taunt Renee who simply smiles. Laszlo then goes a step further, pie facing the larger champion which only enrages Renee who takes a wild swing only to have Mike duck it and smack him in the back of the head. The frustration is quite clear as Renee unleashes a backhand, again ducked by Laszlo who this time tees off and slaps Renee right in the face followed by an “OOOOOOHHHH” from the crowd.}Terri Morasco: Total disrespect by the challenger.
Vasco Dias: Or is he getting into the champion’s head?
{Renee is turning a bright shade of pink behind his facial hair and chases after Laszlo who quickly ducks out of the ring, rolling under the bottom rope, only to have Renee give chase. Laszlo slides back in and awaits Renee who starts to slide in, only to have an elbow dropped across the back of his head. Laszlo then starts pounding away as Renee gets into the ring, and slowly back to his feet before grabbing Mike up under the arms and launching him into the corner, tattooing him with left and rights to the face before the referee forces a break after a four and a half count.}Terri Morasco: Mike may have started something he didn’t want to with Renee here.
Vasco Dias: I’m sure it’s all a part of his master plan.
{Renee plants another right into the face of Laszlo before grabbing him and pulling him out of the corner right into a huge Clothesline that takes Laszlo down. Laszlo is slow to his feet but Pleasant takes him right back down with another clothesline, followed by another. He then lifts the challenger and plants him with a Backbreaker, letting Laszlo fall and hooking the leg, only to get a two count.}Terri Morasco: Renee taking it to the challenger here.
Vasco Dias: I’m sure things will turn for Mike, they have been as of late.
{Renee picks up the challenger and again whips him into the corner. He charges with a primal scream looking to slam his body weight into Mike, but at the last second Mike ducks out of the way and Renee goes chest-first into the turnbuckle. He backs up a few steps but Mike charges, planting his knee into the back of Renee, again sending him into the turnbuckle. Renee turns, his arms resting over the top rope as Mike charges in with a running knee straight to the face, and goes for a Bulldog out of the corner, but Renee throws him off. Renee charges, looking for a clothesline, but Laszlo ducks and unloads a Superkick right into the face of the champion, dropping him to the canvas.}Terri Morasco: Right on the button.
Vasco Dias: I told you things would change.
{Laszlo sees his opponent down and dives on top of him, hooking the leg to only get a two count himself. Laszlo stalks Renee and as he just barely gets to his feet, Laszlo takes him down again with a Chop Block to the back of the knee. He grabs hold of the foot and falls back, jarring at the ligaments in the knee. He stomps away before dragging Renee to the ropes and into the corner, wrapping his knee around the post.}Terri Morasco: What a vicious twist of the leg against that pole.
Vasco Dias: Now he’s having fun.
{Laszlo wraps it around the post again as Renee sits up, wincing in pain as he grabs his leg, backing away from the corner to the center of the ring. Laszlo slides in and grabs a hold of Renee’s leg, looking for a Figure Four but Renee kicks him off. Laszlo rolls and turns stomping on the bad leg again a multitude of times, weakening his opponent before locking him into the Sharpshooter!}Vasco Dias: YES!
Terri Morasco: You’re supposed to be impartial.
{Laszlo sits back on the hold, wrenching away, as Renee struggles to the ropes. He contemplates tapping out as the crowd urges him to the ropes. He scrapes and claws his way forward, grabbing the bottom rope as Laszlo holds on for every bit of the referee’s five count before letting go. Laszlo calls for the beginning of the end and stalks the champion. He struggles, but get’s Renee up on his shoulder for Malicious Intent but Renee struggles and falls down Mike’s back, landing on his leg, but the adrenaline is pushing him through as he runs into the ropes and comes toward Mike with the Dead Man’s Boot!}Terri Morasco: What a shot!
{He crawls to the cover but the hesitation and the crawling was enough time for Mike to recuperate just enough to get his shoulder up.}Terri Morasco: Hell of a match here folks.
Vasco Dias: It has been indeed.
{Both men are slow to their feet and Renee looks for the Double Snap DDT he calls the Primal Scream, but Mike reverses and gets behind Renee, grabbing him around the neck and using the ropes to propel himself forward with the Standing Diamond Dust into a Crossface that he calls the “Down Payment”! Renee struggles again as they’re in the center of the ring.}Terri Morasco: Nowhere to go for the champion!
Vasco Dias: NEW CHAMPION!
{Laszlo pulls back on the hold and there’s literally nowhere for Renee to go.}Terri Morasco: What the hell?
{Out of the crowd and over the barrier comes Rob Diamond. He runs toward Alexis grabs her by the head and plants her into the floor!}Terri Morasco: DIAMOND CUTTER!
Vasco Dias: What the hell!? She’s a woman!?
{Laszlo immediately breaks the hold and runs for the ropes, but it’s too late as Rob leaps the barrier back into the crowd. Laszlo rolls under the ropes and attends to Alexis as Renee recovers in the ring.}Vasco Dias: I can’t believe he did that to her! He’s going to pay!
Terri Morasco: Turnabouts on that one. She low blowed him before Mike threw him off that ladder at Night of the Immortals.
Vasco Dias: How can you condone that!?
Terri Morasco: I’m just saying.
{As Mike’s attending to Alexis, Renee rolls under the rope and clobbers him in the back of the head. He rolls the challenger into the ring and hits him again with the Dead Man’s Boot! Without hesitation, Renee lifts Mike up from the mat and hits him with the RAV!
1!
2!!
3!!!
The bell rings.}Terri Morasco: The champion retains!
Vasco Dias: What the hell just happened?
Terri Morasco: The match never ended and Renee took advantage of the distraction.
Alison Valance: Here is your winner, and STILL IWF IMPERIAL CHAMPION…RENEE…PLEASANT!
{Renee’s music plays as he’s handed the title which he raises over his head. Rob smiles up in the crowd, cheering on the champion. We see Alexis down on the outside being attended to by IWF Personnel and Laszlo out in the middle of the ring, Renee holding the title high overhead as the IWF logo appears in the bottom corner.}
