SEGMENT "Familiar Face"
----------------------------------------------------------
{ As we come back from commercial the lights in the arena slowly flicker off until the arena is plunged into complete blackness. Almost as soon as that happens, however, the opening strains of "Snow Patrol - What If The Storm Ends (Aaron Static Remix)" booms out over the sound speakers as a voice is heard on the titan tron. }
Voice: "People wondered where I went. Wondered why I left. When I left, I understood I had grown obsessed with a challenge. But that challenge isn't for me. I know that now. So I come back now, and I promise I'm not going anywhere.
And I start my return with one thing. One promise."
{ And as if on cue, the arena lights pop up and Nighthawk is standing in the center of the ring and quickly gets a raucuous round of applause. }
Nighthawk: "I will face anyone, wrestle anyone, any time or any place. And to whoever is in the ring opposite me, I will show you just how good I am and how good I've always been.
Test me. Try me.
Goodnight IWF."
{DING DING DING}Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlmen, under IWF rules. All employees must have legal work permits for all countries for the calendar year to work for the company. SEGMENT "Thats... thats gotta be Kane!"
----------------------------------------------------------
{The lights go out as the crowd chanting fills the arena.}
"Da da da de da da da Da da da de da da da
Da da da de da da da Da da da de da da da
LET'S GO!"
{As the song kicks in the tron explodes to life with a quick pyro as red and white strobe lights begin to flash. Warren Kane comes to the front of the stage and brings his arms up infront of his chest before extending them outwards and upwards creating a reaction from the crowd.}
Vasco Dias: Holy crap, it’s Warren Kidd!
Terri Morasco: I think you better check that Vasco, because that tron up there….it says Warren Kane!
"It's not easy making a name for yourself, Where do you draw the line? I never thought I'd be in this far. Let's have some fun and never change that for anyone, try not to miss me when I'm gone
Woooh, wooooh"
I sold my soul to the open road!"
{He then heads towards the ring, cracking his neck, wrists and elbows to prepare for his match before jumping up onto the apron, climbing the turnbuckle on the outside and raising his arms once more. The music dies down and the lights return to normal as he drops into the ring.}
Terri Morasco: The crowd are pumped to see the former Invictus Champion here tonight Vasco.
{Inside the ring Warren has a slight smile on his face as the crowds reaction was pretty warm. He holds the microphone in his hand and raises it to speak.}
Warren Kane: You know….the name of this show, the relevancy to what has recently become known to me, and how things will be going forward. It isn’t lost on me. You see, with my family name…..comes a lot of weight, comes a lot of expectation, it comes with it’s own LEGACY!
{Cheap pop from the crowd.}
Warren Kane: See, being “chosen” by Spike Kane, and then being chosen by Judas Alliah? That carried its own version of those things. It’s own weight and expectations, but people wouldn’t bat an eyelid if I failed. Nobody cared when I lost the Invictus Championship, and nobody cared when I walked out those doors with my tail between my legs…..but when a man learns things about himself, about his past….about who he really is? When he finds out he’s the son of a bonafide legend? It changes something within him. It never sat well with me that I wasn’t here every week busting my gut to become one of the greats, it didn’t feel right not being here…..and I’ve finally found out why, because this business? It’s in my blood!
{Another pop funnily enough.}
Warren Kane: Say what you will about my family, but from my Dad to my Uncle Brad, from Freya to Christian….they’re main eventers, and people who will always be remembered. I know that I have a lot to live up to, and I know that not many people would get the second chance I’ve been given. I’m aware people aren’t going to like me for it, but you know what? I don’t care. Because I’m here to earn my piece of that family legacy. I’m here to be somebody, and I’m putting the entire roster on notice…..from the Invictus Champion to Renee Pleasant himself…..I’m not going to be a walk over, I’m not going to be mediocre….I am going to do everything, EVERYTHING within my power to become the greatest wrestler this company has ever seen, I want to be better than the generation before me. It’s my mandate, to be better than my father and those he calls his peers. For are we not meant to surpass our parents? Are we not meant to become greater in our chosen fields? I will embrace the weight and responsibility that comes along with the name “Kane” but more importantly, I’ll live up to it’s Legacy! Hold onto your boots IWF…..Warren Kane is back.
{The music kicks back in as Warren drops the mic, crossing his arms in an X before heading towards the backstage area.}
Vasco Dias: Well, Warren KANE has certainly put the IWF roster on notice, but we all know….words don’t accomplish anything around here, not until you back them up in the ring.
Terri Morasco: And I for one, am looking forward to watching Warren do as such.
Alison Valance: The following match will be contested under Man of Steel rules, and it is for the IWF Man of Steel Championship!
{The drumbeat of "When the Levee Breaks" begins echoing through the arena, and a raspy harmonica heralds Andrew Jacobsen as he walks onto the stage. Andrew adjusts his gloves, eyes zeroed in on the ring, and walks with purpose down the ramp, ignoring the crowd as he walks. He picks up a burst of speed as he leaves the ramp to leap up onto the apron. Andrew kneels on the apron, hanging onto the middle rope with one hand as he turns to look back at the ramp. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath, and stands up, stepping between the ropes. Andrew walks to a corner, slumping slightly against the ropes, and stares ahead, eyes practically tunneling through the turnbuckle as he waits for the bell.}
Alison Valance: Introducing first, representing Body Count, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing 235 pounds, Andrew Jacobsen!
Terri Morasco: Andrew Jacobsen has turned his back on all he stood for in hopes of achieving glory and revenge alongside Body Count. Could tonight be the payoff for his actions?
Vasco Dias: He did what he felt he had to do, and for his sake I hope it’s worth it. You don’t want to make enemies in high places without some reward for it.
{The lights in the arena dim with the opening chords and then start to flash red, blue and white in rotation as the synthesised guitar riff kicks in. Then the lyrics to 'Voodoo Child' by Brick + Mortar begin and the circular steel platform that The Ace is stood upon with his back towards us and the Union Jack Flag draped across his shoulders, begins to turn. The platform is decorated to look like a roulette wheel. Slowly it spins a full one-eighty degrees and we now see The Ace facing us as Kathy Conway is on a single bended knee on the right side of the stage. Cards begin to fall from the rafters. Kathy offers him her hand and The Ace waits a moment before stepping off the platform and grasping the hand of his wife, who is carrying his signature steel rake in her other hand.
The couple proudly walk through the shower of falling cards, hand in hand. At the foot of the ramp, the cards stop falling as the couple share a passionate kiss. The Ace then confidently struts over to the steel steps as Kathy remains at ringside, armed. The Ace climbs the steel steps towards the ropes and steps through them. He walks over to the adjacent turnbuckle, climbing the second rope. He raises both arms in the air. The Ace then climbs down, handing the flag over to a stage hand beforeand he walks to the middle of the ring, the lights return to normal...}
Alison Valance: And his opponent, being accompanied by Kathleen Conway, from Birmingham, England, weighing 260 pounds, he is the IWF Man of Steel Champion, The Ace! Terri Morasco: Speaking of enemies in high places, here comes IWF’s tried-and-true power couple, the Man of Steel Champion and IWF Commissioner. Vasco Dias: The Ace was making a lot of noise about the ties that had existed between Andrew and himself leading into this match, and you have to think that’s got the challenger on edge here.
{Andrew, waiting in the cage, beckons for the Ace to enter. For his part, Ace replies “I don’t move on your schedule, Andrew”, and takes a moment to receive a kiss from his wife before entering, the door locking behind him. The referee reminds both men of the rules of the match before checking them for weapons. Finding none, he takes a few steps back before gesturing them together. The bell rings, and both men begin warily circling, the audience humming with anticipation.}
Terri Morasco: Listen to the crowd. Whatever they think of these men, they know that this will be a fantastic technical contest. The cage ensures that what we’ll see tonight is two men giving it their all, with nothing to interfere. Vasco Dias: Forget that, WE WANT BLOOD! Terri Morasco: …and then there’s that school of thought...
{The two men shoot in for a lockup, and Ace quickly moves to overpower Andrew, muscling him into a side headlock. Andrew slips out into a hammerlock, which Ace twists out of and reverses into a standing wristlock. Andrew twists against the hold, grunting, and rolls through to relieve the pressure before kipping up and snapping the hold into a quick armdrag on the Ace! The champion rolls to his feet, shooting in again, and Andrew is the one to seize the side headlock this go-around. Ace fights the hold, grimacing, before backing into the ropes and shooting Andrew off. Ace ducks under the charging Jacobsen, leapfrogging over in an impressive display of agility before snaring Andrew in a drop toe hold and rolling into a single leg Boston crab!}
Terri Morasco: Beautiful chain wrestling sequence here, as it’s apparent both men are looking to win by submission instead of knockout. Vasco Dias: It’s their ego. Neither man wants to tap out to their opponent, but they do want to make their opponent tap out. Question is, who’ll give first?
{Andrew struggles against the hold, fighting and clawing to try to get some movement. Ace has it locked in tight, and Andrew begins elbowing his way to the bottom rope. Each pull brings him only two or three inches closer, but it’s progress. Ace hauls back on the hold, shouting “JUST GIVE UP NOW!”, and with that brief lapse in awareness Andrew summons his strength and lunges forward to secure a rope break. Ace releases the hold immediately, standing up, and runs a hand through his hair with a confident smirk.}
Terri Morasco: Andrew using his first rope break, and it looks like Ace has done some damage to that lower back and leg of Andrew, possibly trying to take the suplex game out of the equation.
{Indeed, Andrew holds his lower back as he climbs to his feet, grimacing in pain. Ace moves in, grabbing his free wrist, and whips him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a snap powerslam. Andrew arches his back in pain, and Ace quickly scrambles to grab his legs, attempting to secure a submission maneuver. Jacobsen, however, twists a foot free and nails him in the gut with the heel of his boot, forcing Ace to stagger back. Andrew manages to roll to his feet, charging and driving Ace back into the corner with his shoulder. He delivers a vicious series of shoulder thrusts to Ace, hammering into his midsection roughly six times before pulling back and grabbing Ace’s arm. Andrew yanks Ace in for a vicious overhead belly-to-belly suplex, dropping to a knee in an effort to recover from the exertion.}
Vasco Dias: And there’s Andrew Jacobsen trying to punch back into things, but frankly put, I think the damage is done. The superior wrestler got the advantage at the beginning, and it’s too much of a handicap. Terri Morasco: Don’t count Andrew out just yet. The man’s a former World Champion for a reason.
{Andrew hauls himself over, dragging himself to Ace and pulling the Brit up. Andrew shouts in Ace’s face, bellowing “THIS IS YOUR FAULT!” before yanking him into a Muay Thai clinch and delivering a series of vicious knees to the midsection. Ace staggers with each impact, as the knees fall hard and fast, but his instincts allow him to reach up and catch one knee as it’s coming in. Andrew’s confident expression shifts to one of shock, as the Ace looks up at Andrew with vicious triumph on his face. Ace steps back and spins Andrew out with a dragon screw leg whip before transitioning down into an ankle lock! Andrew writhes in pain, struggling against the hold, as Ace torques on the right ankle of Jacobsen viciously.}
Terri Morasco: ANKLE LOCK! This move can end matches, and being applied by a submission expert like the Ace just makes it even more painful. Vasco Dias: It’s going to take every ounce of expertise Andrew has to escape this hold!
{Andrew struggles, trying to brace himself upright with his hands, but Ace just torques the hold even more in response. Andrew pushes himself up onto his fingertips, bouncing there for a moment, and attempts to roll through the ankle lock. Ace flips forward, but lands on his knees and swiftly reaches forward to grab the injured leg. He spins Andrew onto his back, twisting around into a figure-four position before turning it over and moving to apply the Seven of Diamonds modified figure-four. Before he can fully secure it, though, Andrew scratches forward and snares the bottom rope, clinging to it tightly as the ref steps in and prevents the Man of Steel Champion from fully securing the hold.}
Terri Morasco: Ace almost had that deadly modified figure-four leglock applied, and now Andrew’s burned both of his rope breaks while Ace has yet to use one! Vasco Dias: I tell you, he’s off his game for sure. This isn’t the man he needed to be tonight.
{Ace backs off, allowing Andrew to reach his feet, and moves in again, only for Andrew to stop him short with a swift thrust kick to the midsection from his good leg. Ace doubles over, and Andrew limps forward, snaring a front facelock and hooking his leg. Ace, sensing what’s coming, fires a series of rights into Andrew’s midsection in a frenzied attempt to stop the impending fisherman’s suplex. He manages to punch free, staggering Andrew back as he holds his ribs. Ace, sensing an opening, bounces back and hits the ropes…only to run straight into a flapjack which Andrew caps with a devastating European uppercut! Andrew immediately falls on Ace and clamps him into the Sharpshooter, rearing back and wrenching mightily as Ace fights against the hold.}
Terri Morasco: GORDIE HOWE SPECIAL! SHARPSHOOTER! Andrew breaking out his signature arsenal in an attempt to subdue the Man of Steel Champion! Vasco Dias: Jacobsen’s really wrenching on that hold, I think Ace needs to make it to the ropes here!
{Indeed, the Ace is twisting in the middle of the ring, attempting to spin his body close enough to force a rope break. Andrew landed him close to the center of the ring, however, so this is no easy task. The referee kneels down, asking Ace if he submits. A furious shake of the head comes from the Ace, as he squirms in the hold. Kathy pounds the cage, shouting encouragement to her husband. Suddenly, his eyes go wide, and he swings back, punching Andrew in the injured knee. Jacobsen stumbles, letting out a sharp groan of pain, and this opens the door for Ace to finally swing his hand over and catch the bottom rope. Andrew holds on, forcing the ref to begin his count.
1! 2! 3! 4!
Andrew releases at 4, standing up and jawing with the referee. This gives the Ace a chance to stagger into something resembling a recovered state, and when Andrew turns around he’s immediately set upon by Ace, hammering and punching furiously at him. Jacobsen tries to defend himself, but the Ace will not be denied, unleashing a hailstorm of chops, European uppercuts and closed-fist strikes to the Minnesotan grappler.}
Terri Morasco: Ace exploiting his earlier work to secure the escape, and here he comes with a flurry of blows, trying to overpower Jacobsen! Vasco Dias: That’s the ring smarts of the Ace there, keeping his battle plan in mind.
{Ace leaps onto Andrew, Irish whipping him into the ropes and following up with a thundering high knee as Andrew returns. Andrew drops to the canvas, staggering up into an armbar. Ace wrenches the armbar for a moment before twisting under and attempting a hook kick to the face. Andrew wriggles free, however, and ducks under the kick, hooking Ace and dropping him to the canvas with a beautiful uranage! Andrew drops down, half intentionally and half out of pain, and moves to apply the Lock and Dam anaconda choke! Ace immediately slips his foot over and hooks the bottom rope, causing the referee to intercede once more.}
Terri Morasco: And that is our complement of rope breaks, ladies and gentlemen. This match is down to pure technical skill or lucking into that knockout blow. Who’s going to secure the opportunity first? Vasco: Do it, Ace! You can do it!
{Ace clambers up in the corner, and Andrew shoves the referee aside roughly, moving to charge with a Stinger Splash. Showcasing his veteran instincts, however, Ace shifts out of the way, and Andrew eats nothing but turnbuckle. He staggers back, clutching his chest, only to walk straight into the RUSSIAN ROULETTE! Ace stands up after dropping Jacobsen with the forward Russian legsweep and delivers a vicious stomp to Andrew’s wounded knee before looking to the corner. Ace kicks Andrew onto his back, adding another few stomps for good measure. He walks over and climbs the turnbuckles, wincing with each step. Ace reaches the top turnbuckle, looking down at Andrew as the Minnesotan clutches his knee, and merely cracks his knuckles. He looks to the top of the cage, and the crowd roars its approval. Ace begins climbing the cage, applause thundering now.}
Terri Morasco: What is the Ace thinking?! Is he going to deliver the death blow off the top?! Vasco Dias: YES! MAKE IT HAPPEN, CONWAY! GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT! GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!
{Ace ascends to the top of the cage, looking around and taking a moment to bask in the crowd’s adulation, a rare thing these days. He points to the camera and mouths something before leaping and coming off with a picture-perfect elbow drop…
…THAT EATS CANVAS AS ANDREW JACOBSEN ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! Ace lands hard on his elbow, groaning and clutching it in agony as Andrew lays on his stomach and breathes heavily. Both men are trying to will themselves on, and Kathy pounds the side of the cage again to attempt to will the Ace on. Suddenly, a look comes across Kathy’s eye, and she kneels down near the side of the ring.} Terri Morasco: Crash and burn on that high-risk move from the Ace, and now what in the world is Kathleen Conway doing?
Vasco Dias: I think she’s looking for a little present for her man under there! Good! Give it to him, Kathy! Finish that upstart bastard!
Vasco Dias: Oh no, Kat just slid in that rake… how unfortunate.
Terri Morasco: It’s an illegal weapon! You do realise what that means?
Vasco Dias: I realise that the official is a jack ass and taking a nap! How unprofessional!
{ Ace leans down slowly and picks up the rake, much to Kathy’s delight as she looks at Jake and say’s “Do it for her!”. Jake stares at her momentarily before a wry smile runs across his lips and he turns around to Andrew as he begins to stalk his former friend begging him to get up from the mat. The crowd rains down boos on Conway who completely ignores them as he enters the zone. The crowd start to chant “No! No! No!” as Jake nods his head pointing at Andrew. Jacobsen begins to stagger to his feet and Jake lifts the rake up high preparing to swing when suddenly the PA system erupts and Aaron Owens and Kyle Mason come charging down the ramp towards the ring. }
Terri Morasco: Here comes the cavalry!
Vasco Dias: What!? This isn’t fair! Jake is on his own!
Terri Moraco: Oh so he’s allowed to cheat?
Vasco Dias: He’s not cheating, he’s… encouraging Andrew to his feet.
{ Kyle and Aaron rush to the cage door and begin to yank at it firmly, trying desperately to yank the cage open, but it is to no avail. Jake catches sight of them and suddenly his playful nature takes a complete turn. His jovial look it replaced with one of anger at the sight of Body Count, reminding him of his feeling of betrayal. As Andrew gets on his feet he turns around… straight into a vicious shot to the skull from Jake. Kyle and Aaron increase their efforts to enter the cage but it proves fruitless as in the ring they have to watch in horror as Jake begins to rain down blow after blow onto Andrew who tries desperately to defend himself from the assault. }
Vasco Dias: Wooo, yeah, whip him Jake!
Terri Morasco: Don’t encourage this, this is disgusting!
{ Jake starts to shout “Why did you betray me?” at Andrew who eventually is powerless to resist as blow after blow is landed on him, forcing him to his knees. The crowd, initially booing, begin to fall into a deafly silence as Jake continues to pummel at Andrew, his eyes filled with a blood lust. Suddenly the official begins to stir and looks up to see Ace beating down Jacobsen with the rake relentlessly. He looks at the time keeper and signals for the bell whispering something into his mic as the timekeeper listens attentively for a few moments. Standing to her feet Alison grabs a microphone. }
Alison Valance: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner… as a result of a disqualification…
Vasco Dias: No!
{ Kathy turns to look at her. }
Alison Valance: And new IWF Man of Steel Champion... Andrew Jacobsen!
Vasco Dias: No! This can’t be happening!
Terri Morasco: It is, and it’s no more than he deserves. The Ace has ruthless dissected Andrew tonight, you can’t behave this way!
{ The crowd erupts but this proves to be a bad tiding for Andrew as the Ace is absolutely livid in the ring. He clutches his head, filled with fury, and soon turns back round to look at Andrew. Jake marches forward, raising his rake once more as he rains down blow after blow with a sickening crunch into Andrew. The official tries to get to his feet but realises he can’t help and calls for the cage to be lifted up. Slowly the mechanism kicks into gear and begins to pull on the structure as Jake continues to attack Andrew. As the cage lifts Jake eventually stops and rolls out, his work here done as he quickly avoids the rushing in Kyle and Aaron who try to catch him but fail. The two men go over to Andrew and try to help him up as Jake and Kathy walk up the ramp. Jake, still filled with rage, marches up to the stage as Kathy follows him, smiling as they go. EMTs rush down to the ring as our show cuts to a shot commercial break. }
{The entrance fills with red mist as two voices are heard over the PA.}
Justice, for my sister and her children
If you want justice you've come to the wrong place....
I disagree, I want to bring those who have wronged me to justice and all those who have wronged me are right here...
{Killswitch engage's "Loyalty" blasts over the PA as Alex Jones steps out onto the stage. His long two tone hair wet down his back and sides. He wears a black Alex Jones shirt and his wrestling gear. He makes his way down to the ring with Ana Valentine by his side. They get down to the ring and Alex leaps up onto the apron before helping Ana, he opens the ropes for her before getting in himself. }
Vasco Dias: Alex Jones is a hero Terri…a real Hero…
Terri Morasco: How?
Vasco Dias: He is taking on the tyranny of Roberto Verona and standing up for what is wrong….
Terri Morasco: You’re drinking his koolaid aren’t you?
{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As cheers being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who cheer him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the adulation. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, psyching himself up as he awaits the beginning of the match. }
Vasco Dias: Hey it’s the boss, the true King of the World!…HEY BOSS
Terri Morasco: You just sat here and called him a tyrant….
Vasco Dias: What?..No I didn’t! You’re misquoting me Morasco, this is harassment.
Terri Morasco: Yes you did!
Vasco Dias: No I didn’t, shut up.
{Alex and Roberto stare across the ring at one another. Alex bounces up and down excited as Verona looks calm and serene. The bell rings and Alex rushes Verona who puts his hands up to deflect the blows. Alex gets Verona in the corner and slams in a few stiff right hands, after a few moments Verona breaks away, grabs Alex and throws him into the corner to punish Alex with some rights of his own, Alex like Verona puts his arms up to block the blows, Verona thought digs in a few vicious body shots and Alex pulls his arms back down, Verona then uses the opening to hit a hard right hand that causes Alex to fall to the mat in the corner.}
Vasco Dias: Wow Verona took what Alex had and gave it back tenfold…
Terri Morasco: Alex is down and Verona doesn’t seem to have missed a beat.
{Verona places his foot in Alex’s throat he hits the ropes and hits Alex with the facewash. The crowd boo’s as Verona yells at Alex and grabs the top rope stomping him down. Since Alex is in the ropes the referee counts to 4 and then pulls Verona off Alex, Verona shakes his head and admonishes the referee pointing at Alex and reminding the referee who pays his salary. Alex pulls himself up but Verona grabs Alex by the hair and slams in a knee sending Alex back down to his, Verona hits the ropes and kicks Alex in the face with a boot that looked like a knockout shot! Ana looks worried as Alex lays prone on the mat, Verona pins 1….2….Alex kicks out. Verona locks Alex in a side headlock and wrenches it in keeping him grounded, Alex grabs Verona’s arm and twists around trying to get out of it, Verona pulls it harder and Alex reaches for the ropes, the fans getting behind Alex for the first time in almost a year!. Alex closes his fists and drags himself towards the ropes, he reaches out and just gets there to get Verona to release the hold.}
Vasco Dias: Roberto Verona looks better than ever!
Terri Morasco: He doesn’t look like he has any ring rust but do you hear these fans?!?!
Vasco Dias: They’re cheering Alex….why?
Terri Morasco: Hatred of authority?
{Alex stays on all fours trying to catch his breath, Verona steps in and kicks Alex in the ribs with a hard thudding noise, Alex slumps back down to the mat and Verona drops some hard knees into Alexs ribs before stomping him down over and over before the referee again has to pull Verona back as Alex is laying against the ropes. Alex holds his ribs and moans in pain sitting up on his heels, Verona yells at Alex getting right in his face, Alex looks up with a smirk and flips Verona off causing the crowd to pop!}
Terri Morasco: Well that is Alex Jones in a nutshell…
Vasco Dias: I hope we’re on a delay so that can be blurred!
Terri Morasco: Nope!
{Verona pulls Alex up and kicks him in the stomach before hitting a snap suplex, Verona floats over shoving his forearm into Alex’s face 1…..2….Alex kicks out, Verona pins again, 1……2….again Alex kicks out. Verona calls for Alex to get up and goes for his codebreaker finisher, as he does Alex catches Verona, uses his strength to transfer Verona onto his shoulders and hold him there, Verona though hammers Alex with a few hard elbows, drops down behind him and hits a neckbreaker. Alex lays on the mat in pain and Verona grabs Alex by the leg trying to pull him into the center of the ring, Alex grabs the bottom rope and Verona pulls his leg hard one more time, Alex pops off the mat to his feet before leaping in the air with an enzugiri, Verona drops down and the crowd pops for Alex as he shakes out the cobwebs.}
Vasco Dias: An enziguri from Alex…Vintage Jones!
Terri Morasco: Stop that….
{Alex lays in a low kick to Verona’s knee and then a hard roundhouse to his chest, Verona hits the mat and slides from the ring holding his chest, as he walks around outside the mat Alex sprints across the ring and leaps over the top rope onto Verona with a summersault plancha!, Verona is down but Alex grabs him and pul;s him back up and rolls him in the ring, Alex climbs to the top rope and leaps off with the spiral tap!, he goes for the pin 1…..2….Verona kicks out}
Terri Morasco: A spiral tap?....we haven’t seen that in months…
Vasco Dias: Have to pull out all the stops Terri….
{Alex pulls himself up and pulls Verona up to, he sets him up for the pedigree he calls the dragon sleeps, Verona powers out throwing Alex over his back. Alex lands hard and Verona then rolls him up holding the tights 1….2…Alex kicks out. Roberto punches the mat in frustration and lets out a loud scream before hoisting himself up and pushing past the referee to exit the ring. Verona walks over to the timekeeper, demanding that he stand up immediately and pass him his chair and a microphone. Verona carries both implements to the ring, sliding them across the mat before rolling in after them. Verona picks up the microphone before kicking the steel chair towards Alex who has managed to get onto his knees. }
Roberto Verona: you just won’t stay down, will you Jones?
{ Alex looks down at the chair as the crowd boos Verona who bends over to look at his opponent, his head cocked to one side. }
Roberto Verona: How noble, but I’m tired of playing games with you. You want to con the world into believing you’re truly a reformed man who is fighting a tyrant for fairness? Prove it.
{ Alex looks at Roberto with confusion as Verona stands back upstraight and looks around the arena. }
Roberto Verona: Referee, I hearby decree that Alex Jones has one free shot at me with this weapon that will not count towards a disqualification.
Vasco Dias: What the hell!?
Terri Morasco: Verona is openly baiting Alex!
{ The crowd erupts into roars as Roberto turns back to Alex. }
Roberto Verona: Come on Alex, show the world how you’re truly the hero you claim to be. We both know you can’t resist this, it’s in your blood. It’s in your nature to always take the cheap shot.
{ Alex gets to his feet, the steel chair clutched tightly in his fists as the noise in the crowd raises. Roberto smiles and leans forward, pointing to his forehead. }
Roberto Verona: Come on, slay the monster. Prove to everybody you’re just another fraud. Do it!
{ Alex begins to raise the chair above his head as the crowd wills him on, along with Verona but as he holds it high in the air his body tenses. He closes his eyes and shakes his head, gearing up again to swing it… but something stops him. The crowd begins to boo as Alex shakes his head faster, lowering the chair as he walks over to the official, handing him the weapon much to the crowds dismay. As he turns around however he is met by a Roberto who has since tossed the mic out of the ring and who begins to throw a flurry of fists into Alex’s face. Alex struggle to fight back from the sudden onslaught. }
Vasco Dias: He… he didn’t do it…?
Terri Morasco: Alex seems intent on proving some of his doubters wrong, but to what cost?
{ Verona grabs Alex and whips him into the ropes, going for a clotheslines on the rebound but Alex manages to duck and instead hits the ropes again to barrel into Verona’s midriff with a vicious knee. Roberto keels over with the wind taken out of him as Alex, looks around, suddenly sensing an opening. He steadies himself, rushing towards Roberto and leaping into the air to land a Curb Stomp! Lightbulbs flash as Jones comes crashing down…. But he misses his mark! Verona manages to move just in the knick of time sending Jones foot crashing into the mat. Alex yelps in pain but before he can react Verona lunges forward, grabbing Alex by the head to hit the Requiescat In Pace! Verona goes for the cover as the referee drops beside him, 1………… 2………… 3! Verona manages to pull off a victory here tonight. }
Alison Valance: And here’s your winner, Roberto Verona!
Terri Morasco: Roberto wins tonight, but did Alex really just turn a new leaf?
Vasco Dias: I’m not sure what I just witnessed, the tyrant was right there!
Terri Morasco: Maybe, Vasco, but he proclaimed that they were above this. Could Alex Jones really be telling the truth?
{ “King of the World” blares out over the PA system as Roberto Verona makes the way up the ramp, asking for his music to be cut before he raises a new microphone to his lips. He looks down at Alex who has just about begun to recover and begins to speak. }
Roberto Verona: Better luck next time, Alex. It’s time you learned a valuable lesson. I’m not the monster you think I am.
{ Roberto pauses as he backs up shaking his head. }
Roberto Verona: I’m not the monster!
{ Alex lays on his stomach and clutches his jaw, staring at Verona as our camera fixes on Verona backing up the ramp with Alex on the tron behind him. Verona shakes his head one last time, mouthing ”It’s not me” as we cut to a commercial break. }
{ Jekyll and Hyde by FFDP hits the pa as the lights start to strobe pink. Rob Diamond slowly struts out onto the ramp as the crowd pops huge for him, he smiles and looks around the arena and slowly raises his arms over his head. Just as Jekyll and Hyde kicks into high gear he brings his arms down in an epic crotch chop as pink pyro explodes in an X behind him. He bgins his march down the ramp slapping hands with fans holding signs for him and wearing his awesome t-shirts. He points here and there making certain women feel special and wet in their pants as he gets to the ring and rolls in under the bottom rope. }Alison Valance: Introducing to the ring at this time, weighing in at two hundred and four pounds, he is THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! The King of Diamonds, The Xtreme American Dream, The Bloody Cinderella, The one and only, the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end, The baddest mama jama in the multiverse, You can't believe there's none better, Better than Butter, The Mad Titan, The Dark Lord of the Sith... THE INFAMOUS ROB DIAMOND!!!!! { Rob stands in the middle of the ring and asks the crowd for silence, he takes a mic as the crowd dies down and so does his music... }Rob Diamond: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and single ladies of ALL AGES!!!!!..... LETS GET READY TO SUCK IT!!!!!!! { He tosses the mic and hits one final crotch chop as the crowd goes nuts. }Vasco Dias: We’re so gonna get sued….. Terri Morasco: Ssssh, just don’t bring attention to it. {"Cult of Personality" by Living Colour hits the sound system, Mike Laszlo walking out onto the stage, followed by Alexis Caffrey, to a negative reaction from the crowd. Surveying those who boo, a grin comes over his face as he heads for the ring with a confident walk, ignoring the outstretched hands of some fans along the isle, Alexis by his side holding his other hand.}Alison Valance: Making his way to the ring, accompanied to the ring by Alexis Caffrey, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing 237 pounds…MIIIIKE LASZLOOOOO! {The two get to the end of the ramp before Mike lifts Alexis onto the apron. She enters the ring as Mike rolls in under the bottom rope. He climbs the outside ropes to the top rope in the corner nearest the entrance ramp and poses for the crowd amassing a magnitude of booing. He jumps down and goes to the opposite corner and does the same, garnering the same reaction. With a sly grin on his face he jumps down and backs into the corner, clasping his hands together and twirling his wrists as he gets ready for the match.}Vasco Dias: Both men are in the Cell, and now it’s time to get this truly heated and personal match underway! {The ref calls for the bell whilst Laszlo finishes preparing, and Rob simply leans into the turnbuckle almost mocking Mike in the process. Laszlo looks across the ring and down his nose to Rob and simply motions for the InFamous star to “bring it” Rob charges across the ring and swings for a clothesline, but Laszlo ducks underneath it before turning around and catching Rob unaware with a belly to belly suplex, sending Rob back across the ring. Rob rolls to a knee and looks a little stunned, as Laszlo grins cockily back at him. Rob moves forwards again but this time the two of them lock up. They tussle for a moment before Rob slips behind Mike and lifts him up with a german suplex, sending the former Imperial Champion across the ring this time. Rob smirks at Laszlo, who leans on the rope to climb to his feet.}Vasco Dias: These two are seriously trying to outdo one another here. Terri Morasco: Certainly makes for an entertaining match. {Back inside the ring both men are now beginning to be more wary of each other. The opening shots fired from each of them. They charge at each other and this time Mike swivles his body into a Cutter! BUt Rob dodges it, and spins before catching Laszlo. FISTFULL O’ DEMOCRACY! Laszlo drops like a sack of potatoes as Rob struts around the ring, pleased with his scouting abilities. He heads towards Laszlo to pick him up, but Laszlo springs to life he wraps his legs around the head of Rob Diamond and pulls him to the mat as he grabs hold of one of Robs arms and locks in a Triangle Choke. Rob squirms like mad trying to break free, or reach for the ropes.}Terri Morasco: That cheating scoundrel! He was playing possum! Vasco Dias: And Rob fell for it, and now he’s suffering because of it. {Rob is desperately reaching for the ropes with his free hand, and scrambling with his feet. LAszlo tries to tighten the hold, but Rob is swinging wildly with his free hand. Eventually Rob manages to fumble himself to the ropes, landing a foot on them. The ref tells Mike to break the hold but he doesn’t! The referee begins to count on Mike….ONE!. …..TWO! ……..THREE! …...FOUR! …-Laszlo breaks the hold less than a second before being disqualified. The referee forces him to move away from Rob who leans on the bottom rope trying to recover.}Terri Morasco: There’s that mean streak from Laszlo. He’s certainly changed his attitude in his time here. Vasco Dias: I disagree, I think he’s always been an assohle. People are just more aware of it now. Terri Morasco: Be careful what you say Vasco….you might get yourself in trouble. {The ref allows Laszlo to move in for the kill now as Rob is scrambling to his feet. He heads towards Rob but literally out of nowhere Rob dives forward and catches Laszlo with a bone crunching SPEAR!!! Rob rolls right off of Laszlo getting right to his feet and then dragging LAszlo after him. He grabs him by the waist and simply dumps him to the ground outside! Rob follows LAszlo and places him in the corner of the cell, propped up in a sitting position. Rob then jumps back up onto the apron, and the crowd begin to roar as he charges and jumps off the apron and slamming into Mike Laszlo with a double knee smash!}Vasco Dias: Oh my god! He could have killed him! Terri Morasco: Did you see the way his head bounced off the cell wall!? {A slow motion replay shows the moment of impact when Rob Diamonds knees connected with Mike Laszlo and his head crashes off the cell wall with a sickening thud. Back inside the ring now Rob had rolled Lazlo into the ring and goes for the cover. ONE! …..TWO! ...TH-KICKOUT! Laszlo just about manages to get his shoulder up, but he still looks out of it.}Vasco Dias: Impressive ring awareness there. {Rob climbs to his feet nodding his head a lot, almost to say “this is how it is” before dragging Laszlo to his feet. He goes to irish whip him into the turnbuckle, but Mike reverses it and sends Rob into the ropes instead. Rob comes running back and Laszlo lifts him up and nails a desperate spinebuster, before dropping to the mat exhausted himself. The referee checks on both men before starting his count….ONE! …….TWO! …….THREE! …...FOUR! Both men are breathing hard and heavy. FIVE! …..SIX! ...Rob rolls to the ropes and begins to pull himself up. SEVEN! …...EIGHT!...Just like that Mike Laszlo kips up and jumps right back to his feet, but Rob Diamond jumps out of nowhere and….DIAMOND CUTTER!!! IT’S ALL OVER!! Rob covers….ONE! …..TWO! ….THRE-NO!!! LASZLO KICKS OUT!!!}Terri Morasco: WHAT!?! WHAT IS GOING ON? Vasco Dias: An incredible feat of athletic ability by Mike Laszlo, but he took his eyes off of Rob Diamond, and paid dearly for it…..how he managed to kick out, I’ll never know. {The referee is checking on Mike Laszlo, as something seems to be wrong. He motions to the camera with an “X” and suddenly some EMT’s come running down, and the outside ref begins to unlock the cell door. Rob is on his knees looking both confused, and angry. Partly that Mike kicked out, partly that the ref won’t let him finish the job. As the EMT’s rush to the ring, Mike Laszlo springs to life. He starts wailing on them! Punching wildly, narrowly missing the referee. Rob spots this and charges at Laszlo, but Mike scouts it and he ducks under Rob, grabbing the top rope as he does so, forcing Rob Diamond to dump himself out of the ring, and roll right through the cell door.}Vasco Dias: Mike Laszlo has lost the plot! Those EMT’s came to help him! Terri Morasco: Maybe it’s some false notion of pride or something Vasco, but I think Laszlo wants to finish this thing with Rob once and for all. {Laszlo storms after Rob Diamond with a fury in his eyes. He drags Rob to his feet and then whips him onto the security barrier really hard. Both men are now out of the ring, and out of the cell itself. The referee is trying to get them to get back inside, and is in Mike Laszlo’s face as Lazzy tries to frag Rob back to his feet, but Rob drops to a knee and levels a huge low blow to Mike Laszlo. The crowd react with an “oooh” before Rob pulls Mike back down with him, slamming his face into the security barrier hard. Mike Laszlo looks out cold as Rob climbs to his feet and drags Laszlo who seems pretty much unconscious, to the announcer table.}Vasco Dias: Oh come on Rob, we’ve only got some many of these! {Rob drapes Laszlo over the table before looking up at the Cell. The crowd are going ballistic as Rob climbs up the cell wall. He stands at the top, with most of the crowd on their feet roaring with approaval before he leaps off…...50 STAR FROG SPLASH FROM THE CELL THROUGH THE TABLE!!! OH….MY….GOD!!!}Terri Morasco: Holy shhhh--sugar! Rob Diamond may have just killed himself along with Mike Laszlo and our announce table. Vasco Dias: These guys are gonna need some help… {The referee is checking on both men, Rob Diamond seems to be talking back to the ref, but Mike Laszlo hasn’t moved at all. After what seems like an eternity, Rob Diamond uses the security barrier to climb to his feet much to the crowd's approval. He grabs Vasco’s wheelly chair and props Mike Laszlo in it, before wheeling him back to the ring. He rolls Laszlo in, who stills hasn’t moved, and then immediately goes for the cover….ONE! …..TWO! …...THREE!!! The bell rings to signal the end of the match, and the referee holds Robs arm in the air, before Rob all but collapses into the turnbuckle. Immediately another batch of EMT’s comes running down to the ring to check on Mike Laszlo, the trainer flashes his torch in Mike’s eyes….but Mike isn’t responding properly. They quickly roll him onto a stretcher, with Rob Diamond looking on, a little concerned. The EMT’s wheel Mike Laszlo away, and Rob Diamond stands- just about - in the middle of the ring, and raises his arm as Jekyl and Hyde hits the speakers.}----------------------------------------------------------
SEGMENT "A True Champion"
---------------------------------------------------------- { We emerge backstage as our intrepid interviewer, Tiffany Jones, is seen rushing after a group of men. As she approaches we soon discover it is none other than Kyle Mason, Aaron Owens and Andrew Jacobsen, the new Man of Steel champion. Andrew has his arms draped over his fellow stable mates with blood pouring down his forehead and the Man of Steel Championship draped over his shoulder. }Tiffany Jones: Gentlemen, I was hoping I could get a word about your reaction to what just happened out? Kyle Mason: What happened? What happened was the Ace just completely lost his cool. Aaron Owens: And justice prevailed. Tiffany Jones: Justice? Aaron Owens: Of course, the Man of Steel Championship embodies the true morals of our business, and Jake Conway completely forgot those tonight. Tiffany Jones: That may be so, but what about the people who are already saying that Andrew won on a technicality? { Andrew laughs, wincing in pain as he leans forward. }Andrew Jacobsen: Let me ask you Tiffany, who do you think the real Man of Steel is? Tiffany Jones: Well… I… Andrew Jacobsen: I may be battered, I may be bloody, but who was the man who despite it all got back to his feet with defiance against a maniac filled with bloodlust? Who was the man who stuck to his principles… the principles of a true Man of Steel champion and didn’t surrender to the temptation of using a weapon of superior numbers? Jake Conway isn’t a real Man of Steel, I am. Anybody who thinks that because I won a belt on a disqualification is ignoring the fact that in a clash of honour, only one of us sold ours down the river. If anybody wants to test my commitment to my morals, they’re welcome to try it and I’ll prove why I am the true champion. A true people's champion. Tiffany Jones: A people's champion? Andrew Jacobsen: Of course. I am a martyr for the people we are here to represent and save from tyranny, I put my body on the line, I went through immense pain, all to ensure that this belt was taken away from a man who lacks all honour. My sacrifice may not be appreciated straight away, but in the long term, you'll all see that I've saved you from a beast. I saved you from Jake Conway. Aaron Owens: Now please, get out of our way Tiffany, we need to get Andrew to the hospital. { Aaron and Kyle push past and walk off camera as Tiffany stands alone, looking after them in their general direction before we return to ring side. }
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the IWF DIAMONDS CHAMPIONSHIP!
{The crowd pops as they look forward to seeing two of the better Diamonds in the division go at it.
The lights in the arena go down to a blue hue and purple smoke begins to fill the entrance way as the banging drums of "Apex Predator" by Otep resound throughout the arena, the sirens and the lyrics introduce Eternity to the audience and as the adults boo, the children seem to fear the shadowy woman who is wearing a black hat and a veil with her head bowed as she walks down the ramp. She stops in the middle of the ramp and takes a bow, taking her veiled black hat off and posing with it in her outstretched arms. She continues her journey down the ramp, skipping and carrying her hat in her right hand accompanied by the chorus. She slides under the bottom rope into the ring and when she reaches the centre, she transitions into a skip, over to the turnbuckle where she hangs her hat on a ringpost, patting it. She then skips to the middle of the ring and gets down on one knee, a leg outstretched behind her, as she looks heavenward and raises an arm in front of her, her hand reaching towards the sky. This gesture now triggers the lights to slowly be raised back up to normal levels as her music starts also to fade away.}
Alison Valance: From the “Other Side” weighing in at 137 pounds…EEEEETERNITYYY!!!
Terri Morasco: She is the Heiress to the Throne, and to date, no Heiress has NOT walked out the champion at Legacy.
Vasco Dias: This is true, but there’s a first for everything.
Alison Valance: And her opponent…
{“Cult of Love” by Living Colour hits the sound system with a slow piano theme. The drums beat as "Cult of Personality" is mashed in just as Alexis walks out onto the stage. She glances over her shoulder as her husband was just stretchered out of the arena. She slowly turns back and poses with the Diamonds Title for the crowd who once cheered her, but now shows their dislike of she skips down to the ring as Alison makes her announcement.}
Alison Valance: Making her way to the ring, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 115 pounds, she is the IWF Diamonds Champion...Alexis Caffreeeey!!!
{She gets to the ring and climbs up on the apron and into the ring. She heads to the corner opposite the entrance ramp and just stares at Eternity while handing her title to the referee.}
Terri Morasco: Alexis forced to go it alone after what happened to Mike moments ago.
Vasco Dias: He was carried out on a stretcher…that has to weigh heavy on her mind.
{The bell rings and Eternity just sits in the corner staring at Alexis who looks on a bit confused.}
Terri Morasco: Eternity just sitting there, waiting for Alexis to make a move.
Vasco Dias: What is she deaf? The bell rang.
{As if on cue, Eternity grabs hold of the ropes and slowly pulls herself to her feet.}
Vasco Dias: Oh so now she’s ready I guess.
{She takes a few steps forward with her arms extended and anyone could tell by the look on Alexis’ face that she’s rather confused. Eternity comes in close but Alexis smacks her across the face, spinning her around, grabbing her by the waist, looking for a German Suplex, but Eternity blocks it and grabs Alexis by the head, flipping her over with a Headlock Takedown. While the two are on the ground, Eternity cradles Alexis’ head and strokes it. You can read her lips as she talks to Alexis.}
Eternity: It’s okay baby. It’ll all be okay.
{Alexis pulls her head from Eternity and scurries back into a corner as some in the front row start to laugh.}
Terri Morasco: Eternity may be getting into the head of the champion.
Vasco Dias: There’s a reason she’s champion. She’s probably just pissing her off.
{Alexis doesn’t looked pleased as Eternity stands to her feet. Alexis walks in and shoves the challenger who again turns with open arms. Alexis kicks her in the gut and lifts her up and over with a Vertical Suplex, floating over and hitting a second.}
Vasco Dias: Finally some action. Eternity is freaking me out.
Terri Morasco: She looked to be getting in the head of the champion.
Vasco Dias: There’s enough there already…her husband just got carried out of here you moron.
Terri Morasco: Don’t make me slap you.
{Alexis picks Eternity up and puts her in a Headlock. Eternity backs the clinch into the ropes and shoots Alexis into the ropes. Upon return, Eternity grabs hold of Alexis and hugs her.}
Eternity: I love you baby. I always will.
{Alexis pushes out of it and as Eternity bounces off the ropes, she gets leveled with a Superkick! Alexis goes for the cover but only gets a two count.}
Terri Morasco: The champion nearly took her head off.
Vasco Dias: And that’s why she’s the champion. She can block out the crazy, and the distractions and kick a bitch in the face.
Terri Morasco: Excuse you!?
Vasco Dias: You heard me…maybe she’ll kick you next…I got twenty bucks!
{Alexis gets to her feet and gloats with her arms outstretched as she spins in a circle with a smile on her face. Eternity meanwhile is grabbing the ropes and getting to her feet with a not so happy look on her face…in fact…she looks pissed. Alexis sees her getting up and goes to continue the onslaught but Eternity springs out of her grasp and hits her with some forearms to the face, backing her into the ropes, shooting her to the other side, and upon return, lifts and spins the champion right into an authoritative Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker. Alexis writhes in pain as she rolls off Eternity’s knee. Eternity pulls her back and goes for the cover, only getting a two count.}
Terri Morasco: It looks like the challenger is pissed off now.
Vasco Dias: Better than creeping me out.
Terri Morasco: Not for Alexis.
{The challenger grabs Alexis by the hair and pulls her to her feet, hurling her through the air by the hair. Alexis crashes to the mat and doesn’t know what hurts more, the head where the hair was pulled or the face that just hit canvas.}
Terri Morasco: It looks like Eternity is turning it up a bit.
{Eternity grabs the champion and pulls her to her feet, lifting her onto her shoulders looking for the Eternal Rest (GTS) but Alexis slides down the back of Eternity into a roll up, but only gets a two count before Eternity rolls out and as the two women get to their feet rather quick, Eternity lunges into the air with the Fallen Angel (Flying Clothesline). The champion is down again, this time holding her jaw as it seems Eternity connected flush! Eternity then grabs hold of Alexis’ arm and pulls her to the corner where the challenger ascends the turnbuckle to the joy of the crowd. She starts to walk the ropes, looking for her patented “Burning Angel”.}
Terri Morasco: Things don’t look good for the champion!
Vasco Dias: WAIT!
{Alexis has the move well scouted and pulls Eternity off the ropes with a hard yank. Eternity flips through the air, landing on her back hard, all the while, Alexis held onto the arm and locks in the ANACONDA VICE!!}
Vasco Dias: Haha, technician always wins!
Terri Morasco: And just like that the challenger is in trouble in the center of the ring.
{Alexis wrenches back on the hold, determined to prove her doubters wrong by making the mystical Eternity tap. She pulls back as Eternity struggles with nowhere to go. Alexis pulls back some more and that’s when Eternity sees her opening, kneeing Alexis in the back of the head a total of three times, eventually causing her to break the hold as the two women roll away from one another.}
Terri Morasco: What a match already.
{The crowd starts a “THIS IS AWESOME!!” chant.}
Vasco Dias: The crowd agrees with you Terri.
{The two are back to their feet and Alexis lunges forward looking for another Superkick but Eternity ducks it and runs to the ropes, looking for another Fallen Angel (Flying Clothesline) but Alexis ducks and Eternity tumbles to the outside of the ring.}
Terri Morasco: These two have each other so well scouted.
Vasco Dias: What’s Alexis thinking?
{Alexis climbs the turnbuckle as Eternity struggles to her feet on the outside. As she turns, Alexis flies off the top rope and connects with a huge Crossbody to the outside!}
Crowd: OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!
Terri Morasco: The champ is pulling out all the stops here to retain her title.
Vasco Dias: At all costs Terri…at all costs.
{Both women are down as the referee counts and is up to five. Alexis starts to get to her feet and rolls into the ring to break up the count before rolling back out to capitalize on the punishment. She grabs Eternity who with a seemingly last ditch effort, uses all her strength to shove Alexis into the steps, the back of Alexis’ head hitting hard.}
Terri Morasco: That didn’t look good at all.
Vasco Dias: The back of her head just smacked off those steel steps! She could have a concussion!
{The referee is up to five again as Eternity crawls over to Alexis. She grabs hold of her and rolls her into the ring by seven, herself getting in by eight as she crawls over Alexis for the cover, but again only gets a two count. Eternity sits up on her knees and with a cocked head looks at Alexis. She stands to her feet and stalks the champion.}
Terri Morasco: Eternity looks like she’s ready to put this one away.
{Alexis struggles to her feet, holding the back of her head as Eternity kicks her in the gut and hooks both legs for the “Last Rites” (Pedigree). Just as she’s about to hit the move, Alexis lifts her up and over her head with a Back Body Drop.}
Terri Morasco: Good counter by Alexis.
Vasco Dias: Now look…
{Alexis stalks Eternity as she’s slow to her feet. She then blows her a kiss and charges forward but Eternity springs to life and catches her, lifting her into the Omega Driver she likes to call the Death Knell, but Alexis manages to counter, twisting her way around the challenger in the center of the ring, locking in the ENTANGLEMENT (Black Widow)!!!}
Terri Morasco: What a counter!
Vasco Dias: Eternity has nowhere to go!
{Eternity struggles and even powers out of the hold, throwing Alexis around for a possible “Death Knell” AND HITS IT! Eternity goes for the cover…
1!
2!!
3!!!
The bell rings!}
Vasco Dias: WHAT!?
Terri Morasco: Eternity has done it! She’s a two time Diamonds Champion!
Alison Valance: Here is your winner…and NEEEEW IWF Diamonds Champion…EEEEEETERNITYYYYYY!
{Eternity is handed the belt as the lights die down to a sombre blue hue. She kneels over the fallen Alexis as the former Champion lies motionless in the middle of the ring. Eternity leans down and kisses Alexis on her forehead.
"Sleep well, sweetie, " Eternity whispers before she slowly raises the Diamonds World Championship with one hand in the air, presenting the face of it to the Heavens with a tear in her eye as she holds her head skyward as the bell starts to toll ten times in condolence as the arena is silent.
The lights start to flicker and there is a slow rumble of thunder throughout the arena as Eternity remains frozen in her pose throughout the tolling of the ring bell.
"I will always remember you..." she vows, quietly.
Only after the echo of the tenth toll has faded does Eternity leave the ring with the Diamonds World Championship, surprisingly there are more cheers than usual for her on this night, serenading her otherwise stoic walk back up the ramp, accompanied only by the sound of thunder and flickering lights.
Vasco Dias: Both these ladies gave it everything they had here tonight, but in the end the 2015 Heiress To The Throne, Eternity has completed her journey and begun a new chapter in her IWF Legacy by becoming a two time Diamonds World Champion...
Terri Morasco: Something tells me this is only the start of a return to a darker and more unpredictable time for the Diamonds Division, and that scares the hell out of me...
Purple smoke starts to gather around her as she approaches the stage and then she disappears completely into it...
{The lights in the arena go out as "Die Young" by Ke$ha hits the PA system and the crowd go nuts. Strobe lighting begins to flash in various colours around the arena as Jessica Reed emerges from behind the curtain to a standing ovation. She smile and waves to the fans before steadying herself for a gentle sprint to the ring, slapping the hands of fans as she goes much to their delight. Reaching the ring steps she climbs up to the top of the turnbuckle and continues to wave the crowd, pumping them up even more before hopping down into the ring.}
Vasco Dias: You now what I'm sick of?...
Terri Morasco: What?...
Vasco Dias: Everyone talking about how Jessica Reed is this amazing champion and that she made the Diamonds and all this other crap....she left and has been a part time player while women like Ana have carried this company and division...
Terri Morasco: You done? Jessica Reed built this division in its early days and was a dominant champion, it doesn’t matter when it happened, if former reigns don’t count in the present why are you bigging up Ana?
Vasco Dias: Shut up, Morasco.
{The lights lower and Sex metal barbie hits the speakers, Ana walks out onto the stage accompanied by Alex Jones. The crowd burst into a chorus of boos as he takes her by the hand and spins her on the spot, both smirk out at the crowd before walking down the ramp.
Ana jumps up onto the apron andbaits the crowd by grabbing the ropes behind her and bending all the way forward with a wink and a laugh as the crowds echo boos louder and louder, Ana turns and lightly kisses Alex, before stepping into the ring... Baiting and winding up the crowd between stretches}
Vasco Dias: Now this is someone who should be celebrated Terri...
Terri Morasco: Celebrated for?
Vasco Dias: For holding up the Diamonds division!
Terri Morasco: For almost killing it you mean...
{The cell gets lowered as Jess and Ana stare across the ring at one another. Jess tightens her mask as Ana bounces up and down on the balls of her feet. Alex stands outside the cell as it hits the ground, he pounds on the chainlink as Ana turns and gives him a nod. The referee locks the door and we seem ready to begin. They come out and lock up, Ana pushes Jess back into the corner and they both stay their for a moment, Jess shoves Ana back and Ana just smiles. They go to lock up again and this time Ana slams her forearm into Jess sending her down instead. Jess holds her face and rolls to one knee as Ana just shrugs before bending down and telling Jess to bring it.
Jess pulls herself up and as Ana comes in Jess ducks under behind her before running Ana into the ropes, Ana grabs the top rope and Jess springs back rolling over her shoulder to her feet, Ana goes for a clothesline, Jess ducks and Ana turns around right into a jumping high kick from Jess sending Ana down, Ana holds her jaw as Jess now bends down and tells Ana to "bring it." }
Vasco Dias: A little bit of one upswomanship.....
Terri Morasco: Inventing new words Vasco?
Vasco Dias: Simply educating you bunch of cretins.
{Ana winds up and slams a forearm into Jess' face, Jess returns serve, the two seem to go at it trading blows as the crowd gets into it cheering as Jess hits and booing as Ana connects. Ana swings and Jess ducks under it before hitting the ropes springboarding up and back with the enzugiri connecting with Ana, Jess rolls over and pops up before going for the peanut butter jelly time standing ssp, Ana though moves out of the way and Jess lands on the mat, she sits up on her knees holding her ribs and Ana steps in with a low roundhouse kick to Jess' chest before stepping back and hitting a savate kick to jess' face sending her down}
Terri Morasco: Ana has taken control here early on, can she make it pay?
Vasco Dias: Was there ever any doubt?
{Ana steps around Jess and laughs before bowing to the crowd who boo. Ana reaches down and pulls Jess up before throwing her into the corner, Ana keeps her hand wrapped in Jess' hair before slamming in a few right hands before dragging Jess out and snapmaring her down into a low roundhouse kick, Ana pins 1.....2...Jess kicks out. Ana laughs and pulls Jess back up and hits a snap suplex before rolling her hips and hitting a standing switch and a german suplex dumping Jess on her head. Ana again gets to her feet and riles up the crowd.}
Vasco Dias: Ana has just kept in control this whole time...
Terri Morasco: But her arrogance is showing and Jess may have some ring rust, but it’ll soon fall away if Ana wants to spend her time boasting.
{Jess gets to one knee and Ana arrogantly steps forward and pat's Jess on the head, Jess slaps Ana's hand away and then Ana paintbrushes Jess across the face. This snaps Jess out of it and she pops up and attacks Ana with hard right hands, Ana steps back and Jess runs forward clotheslining Ana over the top rope to the floor, Ana looks around confused as Jess gets a head of steam and dives from the ring with a suicide dive hitting Ana and causing them both to slam against the cage. Jess pulls herself up and looks at Ana who staggers around outside the ring.}
Vasco Dias: Wow Jess is a little bit crazy...
Terri Morasco: Or, maybe, just maybe she realised she needed to do something to get back into this?
{Jess runs and leaps on the apron before jumping off with a shining wizard connecting with Ana. Jess pops back to her feet and looks at the ring steps with a grin, she walks up them and stands on them before doing the peanut butter jelly time dance and leaping off with the SSP!, she hits it and Ana holds her ribs as Jess pops up and does another dance. Jess pulls Ana up and rolls her into the ring, Jess climbs to the top rope and goes or her top rope summersault leg drop, Ana moves and Jess lands on her butt.}
Terri Morasco: Jess crashes and burns! Ouch!
Vasco Dias: That will hurt the ol tailbone!
{As Jess moves in pain hunches over Ana pops up and leaps in the air hitting the cupids kiss fameasser. Ana pins 1.....2...Jess kicks out. Ana slides from the ring and looks under the apron pulling out a steel chair throwing it in the ring followed by a kendo stick. Ana slides back in and picks the stick up measuring Jess, she runs in and slams it into Jess's back with a sickening crack. Ana holds the kendo stick in the air with a smirk as she then twirls it around calling Jess to get up Ana swings but Jess grabs the chair and connects with the Kendo stick causing it to splinter into a million pieces!}
Terri Morasco: WOW!
Vasco Dias: That kendo stick just exploded!
{Jess swings the chair and Ana ducks kicking her in the stomach, Ana picks Jess up and slams her down onto the chair with a spinebuster!. She pins 1.....2...Jess kicks out. Ana pops up and calls for the complete shot she calls the flight of the phoenix. She measures Jess and leaps in the air grabbing Jess' head, Jess holds onto the ropes and Ana crashes down onto the chair!, Jess pulls Ana up and hits the LOLidrop onto the chair before pinning 1.....2.....3! Jessica Reed has managed it, she’s conquered Ana Jones! }
Terri Morasco; She did it!
Vasco Dias: No! What the hell is this!? She cheated!
Terri Morasco; It’s a cell match you idiot.
Vasco Dias: I don’t care, referee re-start the match!
{ “Die Young” erupts as Jess can barely stand to her feet after that encounter. Reed tries to celebrate but can barely stand as the crowd is on its feet. Ana is slowly beginning to stir but it soon dawns on her what has happened. Ana’s face is a picture of rage as she remonstrates with the official. Jess, staggering, offers Ana a hand to congratulate her on a hard fought match. Ana stares at her hand for a while as the crowd begs her to shake her hand. Ana extends an arm but just as she gets close to Jess she slaps away her hand and begins to start shouting obscenities at her. Jess bows her head before retreating slowly, climbing out of the ring as she makes her way to the back gradually, stopping to slap the hands of fans. Ana continues to argue with the official, pushing her to and fro as the cage begins to lift up. As she continues to do so we cut to a short commercial break. }
COMMERCIAL BREAK
{We come back from a commercial break and the steel cage has been lifted. Jessica Reed has already vacated the ring area and Ana Jones, leaning on the shoulder of her husband slightly, is making her way up the ramp to a mostly silent crowd, the odd boo coming through from those still buzzing....
Suddenly, Wanted: Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi hits the speakers and the lights dim down low to two spots, one illuminating Ana and Alex, the other illuminating the empty stage... Ana looks at Alex and the camera clearly picks up on her mouthing 'WTF' as the music begins to fade...}
Terri Morasco: ....What's going on?!
Vasco Dias: Are they restarting the match?
Terri Morasco: No, you idiot!
{As the music fades out, a few almost confused cheers rise in the crowd as two figures appear in the shadows, lingering for a moment before they step into the spot... Ana's jaw drops and she shakes her head slightly as Christian Mercer, dressed in a pair of wrestling tights and a long, tailored jacket stands in the spot... Ana's sister Amy stands beside him, a small smirk on her lips...
Ana makes to run up the ramp but Alex pulls her back and shakes his head as Christian laughs and begins slow clapping, a mic in one hand the sound echoes in a mocking way as Ana throws her hands on her hips and stares up the ramp at the pair...}
Christian Mercer: That was a rather... Cute little show you put on there....
{Ana's gesture at Christian is blurred out as he laughs and shrugs slightly...}
Christian Mercer: The same however, cannot be said for your husbands abysmal performance earlier...
{Alex laughs and rolls his eyes, without a mic it's hard to tell exactly what Alex is saying, but it is apparent it's a form of invitation to step into the ring and show him how it's done... Christian nods slowly and reaches behind him, pulling some papers out of the back of his tights....}
Christian Mercer: You know Alex... I might just do that - seeing as how I am now officially signed to the Imperial Wrestling Federation...
{Amy smiles and applauds as Christian holds the paperwork up in the air... the crowd are a mix of cheers and boos as he does this... Before passing the papers off to Amy and running a hand down his chin as though deep in thought....}
Christian Mercer: But, much like yourselves... I won't be doing this alone... Ladies and Gentlemen... You have the HONOR and the PRIVILEGE of the first look at the future of the Wrestling Industry.... YOUR future IWF Imperial Champion.... Austin James Mercer!!!!
{AJM steps out onto the stage beside his father... Christian and Amy simply laugh at Ana and applaud the young man, before Wanted: Dead or Alive, hits the speakers once more and the three turn, disappearing behind the camera... Leaving the Joneses still stood on the ramp; jaws on the floor.}
Match to be added later. Renee Pleasant wins via pinfall.
