AJ Mercer vs Christian Mercer
----------------------------------------------------------
{"The Next generation" by Renegade five hits as Austin James Mercer steps out. A hood from his vest over his head. Austin flips it back and smiles as he struts down to the ring. He looks into the camera and mugs with arrogance before leaping onto the ring apron in one bound before also leaping over the top rope throwing his arms out to the side}Allison Valance: Now standing in the ring standing five foot ten inches tall, weighing in at two hundred and five pounds, he hails from Las Vegas Nevada...Austin James Mercer!
Vasco Dias: This kid has got some talent but I think his dear old dad is going to take him to the woodshed with a switch!
Terri Morasco: Woodshed?.........switch?......how old are you?
{Wanted dead or alive by bon jovi plays as Christian Mercer steps out, he makes his way down to the ring with Amy Valentine in tow, he stops at the end of the ramp and takes off his long coat, he hands it to Amy and turns back to the ring just in time to see Austin leap over the top rope with a summersault plancha.}Vasco Dias: Wow!
Terri Morasco: Austin seems a little bit pissed off...
{Austin pulls Christian to his feet and rolls him under the bottom rope. Austin slides in after him and Christian gets to his feet but gets hit with a clothesline from Austin taking him back down, Austin then stomps down on him over and over before Amy leaps up onto the apron to get Austins attention, Austin turns and argues with her telling her to get down off the apron. He turns around and Christian hits Austin in the throat, Austin drops to one knee and Christian stands above him.
He grabs Austin by the jaw and points his finger in his face yelling at him before slapping his son across the face. The crowd boos and Christian flips them off before laughing at Austin as he kicks his son in the ribs.}Vasco Dias: The boy is learning some hard lessons...
Terri Morasco: This is disgraceful...
{Austin starts to pull himself up Christian runs in and hammers him with a hard right hand, he then grabs Austin by the neck in a cravate and starts laying in knee's to his face, he then hits a spinning neckbreaker and goes for a pin 1.....2....Austin kicks out. Christian laughs and moves around him before calling him to get up, Austin pulls himself to his knee's and Christian hits another knee to his face sending him to the mat.}Terri Morasco: Wow Christian is destroying Austin...
Vasco Dias: Good...little ingrate....
{Christian runs forward and hits a dropkick to Austin as he sits up. He pins again 1.....2....Austin kicks out again. Christian seems to get a little frustrated and gets to his feet stomping around, he shakes his head and stretches out his arm rolling his shoulder signalling for the lariat. Terri Morasco: That was close...

"Haunted"
----------------------------------------------------------
{ As Nighthawk sits by himself in an out-of-the-way corner of the locker room, he puts his USA Wrestling gym bag up in a top container and smiles wanly. }Nighthawk: "I don't want to be doing this. There is no part of me, not a single one, that wants to be in this building getting ready to willingly tie myself to a monster. But sometimes, we have to do things we don't want to do in order to do the right thing. That's what this is.
Win, lose, or draw, I will be able to look at myself in the morning. Goodnight IWF. May sleep give you the courage to go on."

SEGMENT
”I am the Future.”
----------------------------------------------------------
{ Backstage, moments before Zasshu is set to meet the IWF Invictus Champion, Warren Kane, in the middle of the ring we find the masked man from Mexico in the IWF interview area, hands palm to palm before his chest as he glares coldly into the lens. }Zasshu: Last week I laid out a challenge to Warren Kane, the Invictus Champion.
{ He takes a slow breath before continuing. }Zasshu: Some have called me foolish for making such a challenge but since the day I set in this company I’ve had one goal. To become the Imperial Champion. I’ve faced modern day monsters in Renee Pleasant, self proclaimed legends in Mohammed Al-Thani, I have never backed down from a challenge and regardless of wins or losses I am still standing.
{ His eyes grow cold. }Zasshu: By challenging Warren Kane I have set my sights on the first step in a longer journey. So while some call me foolish, accuse me of punching above my weight class, I see it as making a point to everyone else that I am not just another flash in the pan, blink and you miss me rookie. I am here for the long haul. I am here to become a legend. That journey starts with pinning Warren Kane’s shoulders to the mat and becoming the undisputed number one contender to his championship.
{ He speaks boldly and with confidence. }Zasshu: Warren Kane, when you started here you were but an unproven rookie however you’ve decided to embrace your lineage and live in your father’s shadow. Another Kane with aspirations of greatness but Warren, by embracing your father’s shadow you have thrown away that which made you unique and now you will find yourself struggling to stand out among the crowd. You will never be your own man, your own legend, every ounce of success you achieve from this moment forward will be attributed to the blood flowing through your veins and not the skill you posses in your heart.
{ He lowers his hands as we close in on his masked face. }Zasshu: Tonight I will spill your kingly blood and show the world that I am the Future and you are merely an echo from the past.
{ Zasshu bows his head then walks off camera as we head to commercial. }----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Zasshu vs Warren Kane
----------------------------------------------------------
Warren Kane wins via pinfall.
----------------------------------------------------------
DOG COLLAR MATCH
Nighthawk vs DaMarius Thomas
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: “This next contest is a dog-collar matchup. The rules are as follows: Both participants will be chained together with an equal link of chain. There are two ways to achieve victory: Either by pinfall, or by one opponent dragging the other to 4 consecutive corners without stopping.”
{The music hits as the entire stage goes black. After near 40 seconds in the stage lights up and Thomas is seen standing in the middle of the ring. He looks around before confidently walking down the stage. He jumps up and down warming up before jumping onto the ring mat and going over the ropes and into the ring.}Alison Valanceout crowd rises to its feet in anticipation of what is to come. And as the opening strains of "Holding Out For A Hero (The Autumn Wind Intro)" by Emery boom out over the sound system Nighthawk walks out through the curtain and stands at the top of the ramp, hands on his hips as he looks all around at the sold-out crowd with the barest hint of a smile on his face before raising both hands above his head as the ring suddenly is flooded with blue light. Walking down the ring, shaking hands with the fans in the first 2 rows of the building and making a special effort to shake the hands and give out hugs to the kids in the front row as behind him blue-and-white Roman columns of fireworks go off, the "Wrestling Machine" finally gets to the ring and stands on the top turnbuckle while raising his left hand above his head as the crowd chants "Best in the World."}[/color]
Alison Valance: “And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 185 pounds….. please welcome ‘The Wrestling Machine’ Nighthawk!”
{As the referee affixes the chain to both men, making sure that he goes over the rules with either men as he does so, Damarius Thomas’s manager, the slimy and oily Paul Gray, tries to sneak up from behind Nighthawk who turns to confront the man before landing a trio of superkicks on a charging Damarius Thomas to literally no effect whatsoever. Shaking his head and continuing to attack Nighthawk lands a quartet of European uppercuts before rolling to the apron and looking for a springboard clothesline which again has no effect. Trying to figure out what in the world he can do next the Chicago native again heads to the outside and cues up a springboard frankensteiner only to be caught in mid-air by a fuming Damarius Thomas who deadlifts him right into a powerbomb attempt forcing Nighthawk to roll through into a Yoshi Tonic attempt which he quickly pops out of with an armdrag. Continuing to try and up the pace the “Wrestling Machine” again goes for a frankensteiner only to be caught in mid-air and driven down with a 1-arm spinebuster. Looking to drag his man to the 1st corner “Black Death” is halted by his manager Paul Grey who demands more punishment, as Damarius now uses the chain attached to the collar first as a whip and then as a choke chain to try and drag every ounce of air out of his smaller opponent’s body. Getting a cut-throat sign from Paul Grey at ringside Damarius then wraps the chain around his massive forearm and delivers a chain-assisted Daze on an almost out-of-it “Man of 1000 Holds”.}Vasco Dias: Damarius getting this match started early.
Terri Morasco: That’s how he likes to do it. No brakes. Nighthawk is going to have to use his brain if he wants to beat this massive monster.
{Now slowly starting to drag Nighthawk to each of the corners Damarius is confused when the Chicago native wraps his legs around the bottom turnbuckle to prevent himself from being moved. Loosening the chain from around his forearm, almost in disgust that Nighthawk won’t stay down, Damarius picks him up again and again tries for another Daze only to see the Chicago native counter by ducking out of the way and landing a superkick to the point of the jaw which again serves no effect but halts the momentum of the New Orleans native just long enough for Nighthawk to grab the chain and wrap that around his forearm. Leaping off of the 2nd rope with a chain-assisted European uppercut Nighthawk looks somewhat bemused by realizing that he can’t get anything to have any effect. Letting out a war cry Nighthawk steps back a pace and lands another chain-assisted European uppercut which initially does not appear to have any effect, but one of the links of the chain opens up a nasty cut above the left eyebrow of “Black Death”. Letting out a victorious and almost exultant war cry the “Wrestling Machine” now presses the advantage, landing a flipping dropkick as Damarius staggers back towards the ropes.}Terri Morasco: Nighthawk starting to get some advantage!
{Rushing in Nighthawk goes for a Stinger Splash against the ropes only to get caught out of the air with a big boot. Wrapping the chain around his forearm again Damarius waits for Nighthawk to get up, blinking his eyes as the blood is now seemingly beginning to hamper his vision. Dragging Nighthawk to the 1st corner Damarius smirks and lets out a bestial roar as he touches the top turnbuckle, not seeing Nighthawk doing the same out of view of everyone save the referee. With a cocky swagger, Damarius begins walking over to the second turnbuckle. Nighthawk lets loose, and dropkicks Damarius in the back, sending him stumbling through the middle of the ropes. He hits the concrete below, allowing Nighthawk to stand up and slap the second turnbuckle.}Terri Morasco: That’s two for Nighthawk, and Thomas is on the outside.
{Nighthawk manages to make it to the third turnbuckle and slap it, but a look of sorrow overcomes his face when he realizes the fourth turnbuckle is across the ring. He tries to sprint for it, but Damarius gets up too quickly for that. He yanks back on the chain, sending Nighthawk whipping backward. His head slams against the canvas, leaving him lying on the mat. Damarius takes a moment to recover, before climbing back into the ring. He grins hungrily at the dazed Nighthawk, ignoring the turnbuckles entirely. He wraps the chain around his fist, and lifts Nighthawk to a standing position. Damarius whips his opponent across the ring, and goes for a huge swing on the rebound. Nighthawk ducks under it, jumps onto the second rope, and spins around, hitting Thomas with a dropkick to the face. Nighthawk acts quickly, wrapping the chaina round his forearm, and bouncing off the ropes. Thomas stands, and catches a flying chained forearm to the face, opening the cut from before even wider. A river of blood now flows down Damariuas’s face, as he stumbles back against the ropes. He comes at Nighthawk in a daze, but the wrestling machine jumps up, and hits him with a DDT, before going for the pin.
...1!
...2!
...No! Thomas kicks out!}Vasco Dias: I am amazed Nighthawk has gotten this much offense in. I mean, he’s taken most of it, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at Thomas’s face.
Terri Morasco: Exactly. He’s made the most of his opportunities, as he’ll have to against the giant Damarius.
{While Thomas is down in the middle of the ring, Nighthawk starts slowly dragging himself to each corner. The crowd grows louder and louder as he hits each one. He slaps the third one, and the crowd erupts. Damarius begins to stir however. Nighthawk uses the ropes to drag himself to the fourth one, but just as he reaches out to touch it. Thomas grabs the chain and yanks backward. Nighthawk stumbles back, right into a nasty release german suplex from Thomas. Nighthawk crashes to the mat hard, but Damarius is slow to stand.}Terri Morasco: Damarius has taken a few nasty blows to the head, and they seem to be slowing him down now.
Vasco Dias: Do not be fooled. Damarius Thomas is a monster, and he will dig deep to win this match.
{Damarius gets up with an angry glare on his face, and walks over to Nighthawk. He grabs the wrestler by the leather collar, and runs toward the ropes, throwing him over the top. Damarius then pulls the chain back, hanging the much smaller wrestler over the top rope by his throat. Nighthawk flails, but Damarius only laughs. After a few minutes of flailing, it looks like Nighthawk has passed out. Damarius walks over to the ropes, and lifts him over the top with little effort. He tosses him down in the middle of the ring with no care whatsoever, and begins walking to each corner.}Vasco Dias: It looks like this one is over. Nighthawk fought bravely, but you can not win a match when you are unconscious.
{The crowd voices their loud displeasure, as Damarius slowly touches the turnbuckles. He gets to the third one with no struggle, and begins walking over to the fourth. Just as he’s about to get within reach, there is a tug on the collar, that causes him to stumble back. He loses his footing enough that it allows Nighthawk to roll him up in a schoolboy.
…1!
...2!
...No! Thomas kicks out again!}Terri Morasco: Nighthawk giving it everything he has here tonight. You have to give it up for this man.
Vasco Dias: Absolutely, but I don’t know how much good it will do.
{Both men stand at the same time, but incredibly slowly. Damarius is the first to move, yanking the chain, and bringing Nighthawk into his body. Thomas grabs the man and hits him with a vicious overhead belly to belly suplex. He stands again quickly, lifting Nighthawk to a standing position. He flips him up into a powerbomb position, but when he goes to throw the move, Nighthawk falls back and hits a hurricarana into a pin.

...3!
Nighthawk rolls away from Damarius, as the ref quickly disconnects the dog collar from around his neck. He raises Nighthawk’s hand in victory, as a dejected Damarius Thomas takes his own collar off and makes his way to the back.}Terri Morasco: Brilliant performance from Nighthawk here tonight! Unbelievable!

SINGLES MATCH
Mohamed Al-Thani vs Mystery Opponent
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen the following match is schedule for one fall! Introducing first, introducing fir-
{Alison is cut off as Divine walks out onto the stage, a microphone in hand coughing to get attention. She raises the microphone.}Divine: Alatfal la qimat laha , wayajhal alkibar .... 'ana 'uetik , 'aezam masarie 'iilaa nniemat mmin 'ay waqt madaa IWF ..... Mohammed Al Thani!!
{The Qatar national anthem plays over the pa system as Al Thani drives out to the left of the stage in a silver Hyundai i20 Active, to an absolute chorus of boos}Terri Morasco: Man, Al Thani never skips a chance to rub it in the noses of the fans does he?
Vasco Dias: Are you mad? How in the hell does he have that car, it hasn’t even been released yet!
Terri Morasco: The joys of money I suppose…
{Mohammed makes his way to the ring, soaking up the boos but smirking back at them as they come. He rolls into the ring and leans into the turnbuckle, simply smirking as his music slowly dies.}Vasco Dias: If memory serves, Al Thani issued an open challenge tonight, right?
Terri Morasco: That’s right Vasco…..but, nobody accepted!
{With a huge smile on his face Al Thani turns to the referee and tells him to start counting so he can be awarded the win by default. The referee doesn’t look too impressed, but Mohammed starts to threaten having him sack.}Vasco Dias: What a waste of time this is…..did he really have to parade himself out here just for this?
{Suddenly the lights go out, and strobe lights flash wildly on the stage in time with Avenged Sevenfolds “Hail to the King” opening shredding riff. The crowd go absolutely mental as the tron flickers to life showing the “God of Xtreme” logo before the song kicks in.}Terri Morasco: Holy…
Vasco Dias: OH MY GOD!!!
{The crowd roar even more as Spike Kane emerges from behind the curtain with a grin on his face looking right down to the ring at Mohammed Al Thani.}Terri Morasco: SPIKE KANE IS HERE!!!
{With an explosive run, Spike charges to the ring, sliding right under the ropes and immediately to his feet. Storming towards Al Thani, to his credit he doesn’t back down and the two go right at it throwing lefts and rights at each other. The crowd are on their feet, completely taken by surprise at the outcome right here.}Vasco Dias: I don’t even care if I like Spike or not, but this is awesome!
{Spike manages to get the upper hand and whips Al Thani off the ropes and takes him down with a lou thesz press and starts wailing away. The referee eventually gets Spike off of Al Thani and pushes him away. Mohammed takes this chance to scramble away and use the ropes to get back to his feet. Spike tries to push past the referee, and Al Thani takes the advantage to catch Spike off guard with a modified Arabic Asphyxiation! Spike his the mat hard, and Al Thani struggles to roll him over, screaming at the referee to count the pinfall. The ref is hesitant, telling Al Thani that the match didn’t even start, but Al Thani screams at him to count the fall, and eventually he does….ONE! ...T-KICK OUT BY SPIKE! }Vasco Dias: Al Thani throwing his weight around as usual.
Terri Morasco: You usually say those things about Spike…
Vasco Dias: Be a star Terri, Be a star.
{Al Thani drags Spike to his feet, but Spike swiftly kicks Mohammed in the testicles and nails a huge THUNDERSTRUCK! The crowd are going wild as Spike stumbles around the ring, rubbing at his neck where Al Thani had nailed him with his finisher. Spike looks down at Al Thani and a smirk comes across his face as he looks out to the crowd. They realise what Spike is thinking and roars errupt all around. The God of Xtreme rolls out of the ring and starts digging under the ring apron. After a few seconds he pulls out a baseball bat with nails sticking out of it, and raises it high much to the crowd's approval.}Terri Morasco: Oh boy, Spike has something bad planned….
{Inside the ring Al Thani is using the ropes to pull himself up, just as Spike slides in. Spike charges towards Mohammed and swings the bat, but Al Thani had it scouted, and pulls down on the ropes, dropping and rolling to the outside, back peddaling away from Spike Kane. Spike leans over the rop screaming at Al Thani to get back and fight him, but Al Thani shakes his head as he sneers back at Spike and walks up the ramp. There’s a loud bumping sound as Spike snatches the microphone off of Alison Vance and begins to shout.}Spike Kane: Al Thani! Face me you coward! You spend weeks and weeks running down this company, mouthing off about how you’re superior to every single one of us. To the men who bleed for this company, to the men and women who have broken their backs so that idiots like you can have a job!? Parading your ass out here week after week to take on “local talent” because you don’t have the balls to face a real competitor….well buddy, you can hate on IWF….you can hate on America, but remember one thing...I ain’t American, and I bleed IWF….so you want to rag on my company buddy? I’ll kick your ass every single week, gladly!
{Spike slams the mic down on the floor as “Hail to the King” blasts over the p.a. system and Spike stares daggers at Mohammed Al Thani who stands at the stage sneering down at Spike Kane.}----------------------------------------------------------
SEGMENT
”Rising Tensions.”
----------------------------------------------------------
{ Warren Kane is seen walking backstage, presumably heading toward the ring before his match tonight, the Invictus Championship proudly swung over his shoulder and a sly grin on his face when he suddenly stops. The camera turns to the right to reveal Roberto Verona, hair slicked back, the Imperial Championship slung over the shoulder of his very expensive three piece suit. }Roberto Verona: Ah, Mr. Kane, just the man I was looking for.
Warren Kane: What can I do for you Mr. Verona?
{ Roberto places his left hand on the shoulder of Warren Kane. }Roberto Verona: It’s not about what you can do for me, Mr. Kane, but more about what we can do for each other. I watched your match very closely last week and I must say I am quite pleased you will be one of the men on my team.
Warren Kane: Thanks?
Roberto Verona: And since you are such close friends with Mr. Diamond I was hoping I could-
{ Rob Diamond suddenly pops into the shut in his patented “#SuckIt” black hoodie and the Man of Steel Championship over his shoulder, he grabs Roberto’s hand and removes it from the shoulder of Warren. }Rob Diamond: Hoping he could what?
{ Roberto looks at Rob with a disgusted look in his eye. }Roberto Verona: Keep you from doing anything foolish.
Rob Diamond: Foolish? Me? Since when do I do anything foolish?
Roberto Verona: Look Mr. Diamond, you don’t like me, I’m indifferent about you but the fact of the matter is we will be on the same team in a few short weeks with all our belts on the line in the Extinction Event and I just want to make sure-
Rob Diamond: That I play nice and make sure you walk out with that belt on your shoulder?
Roberto Verona: Precisely.
{ Rob sneers at Verona as Warren steps back up to both of them. }Warren Kane: I’m sure we can all be men about this and work together for our own benefit.
Roberto Verona: I’m quite pleased to hear that.
Rob Diamond: Kid don’t speak for me Verona, the only reason I’d help you keep that belt is so I can take it from ya myself.
{ Verona and Rob come eye to eye, nose to nose. }Roberto Verona: I’d love to see you try.
Rob Diamond: Ain’t no try, only do, bitch.
{ The tension is thick enough to be cut with a knife before Warren inserts himself between the two of them again. }Warren Kane: Alright, cool, sounds like we’ve got an understanding. Now let’s get out of here Rob.
{ Warren pushes against Rob to get him to back down, he does so reluctantly as we focus in on the grinning face of Roberto Verona. }----------------------------------------------------------
TAG TEAM MATCH
Jessica Reeds & Eternity vs Fiona McFly & Crystal Hilton
----------------------------------------------------------
Vasco Dias: Next up we’ve got a tag team match with some odd pairings.
Terri Morasco: Absolutely, Jessica Reed and Eternity working together? Never thought I’d say that.
Vasco Dias: Not to mention Fiona McFly and Crystal Hilton, two women who couldn’t be any more different.
{ "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys kicks into high gear as Fiona McFly marches out on stage, takes a bow, and heads down to the ring--giving lucky fans quick pecks on the cheek along the way. }{ All of a sudden “Superstar” by Lupe Fiasco starts playing all over the Pa system. Two lights are pointed at the entrance way. Crystal Emerges through the curtains and is greeted by multiple pyros that start shooting off one by one. The crowd roars at her with a loud ovation of boos and she slowly makes her way out walking down the aisle. Crystal cracks a grin as her photographers line up to take a picture of her but she turns her nose up at the fans as she makes her way to the ring. She finally makes it to the ring and places one foot on the apron and stretches the other one on the apron as well. She does a split to enter the ring and she finally makes it to her feet. She smiles bouncing around a bit as she awaits her opponent to come out.. }{ The lights in the arena go out and a simple but bouncy circus beat starts to play. As the drums kick in, purple strobe lights on the stage begin flashing in time with the music accompanied by matching coloured smoke which slowly rises to fill the entranceway. Shortly after the lyrics to "Something Wicked (That Way Went)" by Vernian Process begin, Eternity emerges from the smoke. There is a mixed reaction from the adults, but the children seem to fear the shadowy woman who is wearing a black hat and a veil with her head bowed as she seems to lightly bounce halfway down the ramp. She stops in the middle of the ramp and takes a bow, taking her veiled black hat off and posing with it in her outstretched arms. She continues her journey down the ramp, skipping and carrying her hat in her right hand. She slides under the bottom rope into the ring and when she reaches the centre, she transitions into a skip, over to the turnbuckle where she hangs her hat on a ringpost, patting it. She then skips to the middle of the ring and falls to her knees, keeping her head bowed for a moment and her eyes closed. she tilts her head back and slowly opens her eyes to the heavens. This gesture now triggers the lights to slowly be raised back up to normal levels as her music starts also to fade away.}{ The lights in the arena go out as "Die Young" by Ke$ha hits the PA system and the crowd go nuts. Strobe lighting begins to flash in various colours around the arena as Jessica Reed emerges from behind the curtain to a standing ovation. She smile and waves to the fans before steadying herself for a gentle sprint to the ring, slapping the hands of fans as she goes much to their delight. Reaching the ring steps she climbs up to the top of the turnbuckle and continues to wave the crowd, pumping them up even more before hopping down into the ring. }Vasco Dias: All four women are in the ring and look ready to go, this should be an interesting match and a huge upset if Fiona and Crystal were able to pull off a win here.
Terri Morasco: You’d definitely have to put their names in title contention.
{ Eternity offers to let Jessica Reed start as Crystal Hilton all but demands Fiona get on the apron. }Terri Morasco: Seeing some “team work” here right from the start.
Vasco Dias: I wouldn’t call it that.
{ The referee calls for the bell and Crystal Hilton goes right at Jess with a clothes line attempt that Jess turns into an arm drag. Crystal is right up and swings again but Jess hits another arm drag. Crystal refuses to stay down and looks for a kick but Jess grabs her leg and hits a dragon screw on Crystal and sends her rolling back to her corner where she quickly tags in Fiona. }Vasco Dias: Looks like Crystal wants none of the hall of famer.
Terri Morasco: Jessica Reed is easily one of the best, not someone to be taken lightly.
{ Jessica and Fiona look to tie it up but Fiona quickly moves into a deep arm drag take down on Jessica who tries to get right to her feet but Fiona grabs her from behind with a release German suplex. Jessica attempts to nip up but Fiona collides with her with a football styled tackle. Fiona mounts Jessica Reed and starts to hit her in the sides of the head with some vicious elbows. }Vasco Dias: Fiona caught Jessica by surprise there.
Terri Morasco: Not sure the hall of famer was expecting that.
{ The referee pulls her off and Fiona looks fired up as Jessica gets back to her feet. They lock up again and Fiona quickly takes her down with a waist lock and then looks to tie Jessica into a submission hold but Eternity comes from behind and rips Fiona off of Reed by the hair! }Vasco Dias: Vicious move by Eternity!
Terri Morasco: You can’t turn your back on her.
{ Eternity drags Fiona back to her corner and begins stomping her as the referee tries to get her off. Crystal Hilton takes the distraction to her advantage and as Jessica Reed gets to her feet she hits her with the Flashing Lights Kick! }Vasco Dias: FLASHING LIGHTS!
{ Eternity gets back out onto the apron and Fiona is slow to her feet. She looks across the ring to Crystal who is screaming for the tag. Fiona walks over and tags her in. Crystal heads to the top rope and leaps off but Jessica rolls out of the way, Crystal managed to stick the landing and as Jessica gets up she hits her with a spring board ddt! }Vasco Dias: Crystal Hilton showing off her high flying moves here.
Terri Morasco: Jessica Reed needs to make a tag!
{ Crystal hits the ropes again with a spring board moonsult and a pin attempt but Jess kicks out at two. Crystal pulls Jess up to her feet and throws her into the corner. Crystal runs in but Jess fires off a hard elbow into the face of Crystal Hilton then throws her into the corner. Jess hits the shining wizard and a running bull dog out of the corner. She gets to her feet and tags in Eternity! }Vasco Dias: And here comes IWF’s resident psychopath!
{ Eternity stalks Crystal now as Hilton starts to get up, Eternity hits her from behind with an elbow then picks her up for the Y INCISION! Eternity doesn’t let her go and instead picks her back up for the ETERNAL REST! }Terri Morasco: Eternity is just over powering Hilton here.
Vasco Dias: Crystal needs to think about tagging out.
{ Eternity walks around Crystal now, cackling to herself as she looks down on her prey. She grabs Crystal by the hair and pulls her up to her feet but Crystal fires back with a jaw breaker and then runs to the ropes, bounces off and hits the Flashing Lights Kick! Eternity drops and Crystal leaps to make the tag to Fiona! }Vasco Dias: Fiona is back in the ring!
{ Fiona looks to capitalize on Crystal’s moves and pulls Eternity to her feet where she grabs her with the IRON CLAW! Eternity drops to a knee as Fiona grips her by the temples. Fiona lets out a scream as she squeezes but Eternity fires off several hard right hands to the midsection of Fiona and breaks the hold. Eternity stands up and fires off a huge European upper cut! Fiona staggers and then as Eternity comes at her she grabs Eternity with a Hammerlock take down! }Terri Morasco: Fiona is holding her own here against Eternity!
{ Fiona now moves behind Eternity as she starts to get to her feet and measures her up for the Shamlock! Fiona looks for the hold but Eternity smashes the back of her head into the bridge of Fiona’s nose! Fiona staggers and Eternity kicks her hard in the gut and pulls her in for the LAST RITES! Eternity covers Fiona but looks right at Crystal. Crystal starts to step into the ring as the referee counts the pin but then steps back out onto the apron and drops down. ONE! TWO! THREE! }Vasco Dias: Crystal Hilton basically just gave up on her partner.
Terri Morasco: Well we know Crystal can be quite selfish and maybe she didn’t see the point in helping Fiona try to win this match anymore.
Vasco Dias: I’d love to see those two square off one on one, I’m sure Fiona is going to be a little upset.
{ Eternity gets to her feet and grabs Jessica as she steps into the ring and lifts her up and spins her around in a circle like she’s a little girl. }----------------------------------------------------------
MAIN EVENT
IWF SHIELDMAIDEN
SINGLES MATCH
Kayla Richards (c) vs Esperanza Serranto
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is your main event of the evening, and it is for the IWF Shieldmaiden Championship!
{"Damage" by Krizz Kaliko starts to play, as a candy purple low rider drifts out onto the stage. Esperanza Serranto dances atop the hood, throwing her hands up and getting the crowd going. The car slows to a top, and she leaps off, stomping down hard on the ramp as a set of red and purple fireworks explode out from either corner of the stage.}
Terri Morasco: Esperanza Serranto’s breaking out the big guns here for the main event of our third Open Fight Night. Could the second time be the charm for La Pequeña Muerte?
Vasco Dias: First, your pronunciation is atrocious. Second, when you have a title opportunity you pull out all the stops, even the big entrances. This is important for her, and she’s showing it.
{She makes her way down the ramp, high fiving fans. She takes a lap around the ring, finding a girl in the front row. Esperanza whispers something in her ear, before taking her Raiders cap off and setting it on the girl's head. Esperanza spins around and slides under the bottom rope. She runs to the corner, and leaps onto the top turnbuckle, throwing her hands in the air as the fans applaud. She drops back down to the mat, and leans against her corner with a cocky smirk on her lips.}
Terri Morasco: One down…
Vasco Dias: One to go.
{"Vice Grip" by Parkway Drive blares out as Kayla Richards emerges from the back. She stands at the entrance and looks around at the fans shaking her head.}
Terri Morasco: Kayla Richards eschewing the more elaborate entrance of her challenger. That’s got to be deliberate.
Vasco Dias: For the challenger, this could be the most important day of their career. For the champion? It’s just another day. Can’t let your opponent see the situation’s getting to you.
{She makes her way down to the ring lifting the IWF Shieldmaiden title belt over her head before running and sliding under the bottom rope, she gets onto the second rope and shakes her hair around to the music, she turns and nods at Eliza who stands at ringside.}
Alison Valance: Introducing first, the challenger. From Compton, California, weighing 130 pounds…ESSSSSPERANZAAAA SERRRRRRRRANTOOOOOO!
{Esperanza throws up the horns, grinning as the fans explode with cheers.}
Alison Valance: And her opponent…from Norwich, England, weighing 126 pounds, she is the reigning and defending IWF Shieldmaiden and the Anti-Christ of the Diamonds’ Division…KAYLAAAAA RICHAAAAAAARDS!
{As passionately as they had cheered Esperanza, the crowd now boos Kayla, who just smirks and leans back in the corner.}
Terri Morasco: This is one of the most polarized crowds we’ve heard in a long, long time. Kayla Richards hasn’t exactly earned much love from the IWF crowds, and the meteoric rise of Esperanza Serranto’s got the people on her side.
Vasco Dias: They’re envious of a winner. Kayla Richards is a success despite the world’s hate, and they can’t hope to match that.
{The bell rings, and immediately both women rush to the center of the ring and start trading strikes, neither woman giving an inch. Esperanza fires off a European uppercut which sends Kayla reeling, but the champion responds with a spinning heel kick to the challenger’s gut, doubling her over. Kayla hits the ropes, looking for a swinging neckbreaker, but Esperanza barely manages to straighten up in time and spin out of the way. Kayla lands back-first on the mat, rolling up in pain, and as she turns around, she’s met with a jumping calf kick from Esperanza, sending both to the mat. Kayla rolls out of the ring, slamming her hands on the apron in frustration, as Esperanza kips up and roars to the cheers of the crowd.}
Terri Morasco: Explosive opening moments here, with neither woman wanting to back down!
Vasco Dias: Smart of Kayla Richards. Take a quick breather, talk strategy with Eliza, and get back in there when you’re comfortable.
{Kayla is indeed conferring with Eliza in her corner, and the two seem to have agreed on a plan of action. Kayla slides back in the ring, Esperanza beckoning her on, and rolls to her feet. Esperanza grins as the two women circle each other, shooting in for a collar-and-elbow tieup. Kayla quickly spins around into a standing wristlock, wrenching on Esperanza’s right arm, and adds punctuation by leaping and shifting her entire body’s weight to bring her down straight into a Fujiwara armbar!}
Vasco Dias: That is a beautiful display of technical ability! Brilliant of Kayla Richards to neutralize that striking ability of Esperanza Serranto!
Terri Morasco: We’ve seen before that Esperanza is no slouch herself in the technical department, but that armbar’s in deep. She may be in deep trouble already.
{Kayla wrenches on the armbar, reaching up and interlacing her fingers with Esperanza’s to provide additional torque. She screams “TAP!” down at Esperanza, who shakes her head furiously. Esperanza kicks her feet underneath her, gritting her teeth as she tries to reposition herself, but the ropes seem a mile away. Suddenly, her eyes fly open, and Esperanza begins laughing. Kayla wrenches on the armbar insistently, but Esperanza suddenly swings her head up and locks eyes with Kayla, shouting “MORE!” at her with a smile on her face. Kayla lets the armbar go, quickly spinning to her knees and looking cautiously at Esperanza. For her part, the challenger just flashes a sick grin at Kayla, rubbing her shoulder and standing back up.}
Terri Morasco: Mind games there on the part of Esperanza Serranto, and they seem to have paid off here.
Vasco Dias: That’s got limited returns on someone like Kayla Richards, though. You have to ration things like that.
What if she wanted that break later in the match? Poor planning there from Esperanza.
{Both women make it to their feet again, and Kayla’s the first to strike, with a stiff chop straight across Esperanza’s chest. She immediately receives a receipt in the form of a big open-handed uppercut, and the exchange is back on. Every chop is answered by a punch, every kick by an elbow. Esperanza gets her forearms up, blocking one chop, and Kayla shakes her hand out only for Esperanza to try to sneak in a roundhouse kick to the midsection. Richards catches the leg, though, shaking her head, only to be dropped by a step-up enzuigiri!}
Terri Morasco: Fantastic counter-move there, and it looks like Kayla Richards might be a bit off her game!
Vasco Dias: She’s just getting started, you heathen. This match is far from over.
{Kayla struggles to her feet using the ropes, shaking the cobwebs out, and Esperanza charges at her, spinning for the BITCH BREAKER! NO! Kayla manages to drop her shoulder and back body drop Esperanza over the top rope! She hits the floor hard, and clutches her arm as Kayla grins, taunting the crowd. Kayla checks the ropes, backing up, and hits them as Esperanza struggles to her own feet against the guardrail, plowing into her with a suicide dive that leaves both women down on the outside!}
Terri Morasco: How right you were, Vasco. Quite the change of momentum there to Kayla Richards’ side after that counter and spot of high-flying. Question now is can they beat the count?
Vasco Dias: Only one of them has to. Title doesn’t change hands on a count-out, so Kayla can take her time.
{1!
2! Both women begin to stagger up from the floor, clutching their injuries.
3!
4! Kayla reaches her knees, and Esperanza gets a hand on the top of the guardrail.
5! Esperanza hauls herself up to her feet all at once, wincing as she strains her shoulder with the effort, and Kayla manages to make her feet.
6! Kayla attempts a quick forearm shiver, but Esperanza catches her arm and turns it into an Irish whip, sending her back-first into the ring apron!
7! Esperanza staggers over, grabbing Kayla and rolling her into the ring before dropping to a knee again, clutching her shoulder!}
Terri Morasco: That damage done to her arm earlier might have been more than she let on! Come on, Esperanza!
Vasco Dias: No hope for you, chica. Just lay down now!
{8! Esperanza forces herself back up, rolling into the ring in time to break the count. Kayla gets to her feet first, shaking her head, and Esperanza rolls to her knees. Kayla grins, starting to advance, but Esperanza explodes out of the blocks, charging Kayla…AND RUNS STRAIGHT INTO A SNAP POWERSLAM! Kayla hooks the leg!
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!}
Vasco Dias: Another example of Kayla Richards’ genius, using her opponent as her best weapon.
Terri Morasco: Esperanza was lucky to get the shoulder up on that one!
{Kayla hauls Esperanza to her feet, delivering her own vicious European uppercut that rocks her head back. Esperanza fires back with a headbutt, sending Kayla staggering into the ropes…and she rebounds in the ropes, coming off with the PENDULUM ELBOW! Esperanza flips head over heels, and Kayla sprawls into another cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THR—NO!
Another kickout! Kayla pounds the mat in frustration, shaking her head, and moves to grab Esperanza off the mat again…only for Esperanza to hook her head and haul her into a small package!
ONE!
TWO!
TH—KICKOUT!}
Terri Morasco: Esperanza almost caught Kayla off guard with that inside cradle!
Vasco Dias: Almost. That’s the word we’re looking for here, ALMOST!
{Esperanza crawls over to Kayla’s feet, turning her onto her stomach, and grabs her leg, looking for a STF. Kayla kicks away furiously, refusing to let herself be caught in the submission hold! One kick, two kicks, three and finally Esperanza’s grip is broken. Kayla gets to her feet, firing off a quick knee to the midsection of Esperanza to cut her off and double her over. Esperanza coughs, clutching her gut, and Kayla smirks, hitting the ropes and looking for the KNEE TREMBLER!
NO! Esperanza spins out of the way again! Kayla whips around, furious, and Esperanza is right there, leaping and hooking her for the COMPTON MAKEOVER! The thunderous leaping Complete Shot leaves both women down, but Esperanza has a little bit more life in her, dragging herself towards the ropes as the fans cheer voraciously.}
Terri Morasco: That was the counter that Esperanza Serranto needed! We know what the Compton Makeover signals, now it’s all about seeing if she has enough left in the tank to hit that Lights Out frog splash and make the dream a reality!
Vasco Dias: She’s got to be gassed. She has to! She’s taken too much abuse! STAY DOWN! STAY! DOWN!
Terri Morasco: Climb that turnbuckle! Bring it home!
Vasco Dias: YOU SHUT UP!
{Esperanza hauls herself to her feet, looking down at Kayla, who’s rolled onto her back, groggy and glassy-eyed. She points at her, shouting out “IT’S TIME!”, and the crowd roars back at Esperanza. Grinning, the challenger slips out to the apron, staggering to the turnbuckle. She climbs gingerly, favoring her arm, and perches high atop the ring, catching her breath for a long moment. Esperanza eyes up Kayla, pointing at her and delivering a throat-slash. She leaps!
…AND KAYLA ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY OF THE FROG SPLASH! Esperanza hits the canvas hard, bouncing off and clutching herself as Kayla takes a deep breath, rolling into the corner. Kayla grabs the middle ropes, crouching and staring at Esperanza, who gets to her feet in agony. As soon as she turns around, Kayla flings herself out of the corner and tags Esperanza on the jaw with a brutal SISTER OF MERCY! Kayla essentially collapses into the cover, barely able to hook the leg!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!}
Terri Morasco: DAMMIT!
Alison Valance: Here is your winner, and still IWF Shieldmaiden, Kayla Richards!
Vasco Dias: It wasn’t enough! Kayla goes two-for-two against Esperanza Serranto, and more importantly is still YOUR Shieldmaiden. What a Herculean victory!
{Kayla is handed the title belt by the referee, and rolls out of the ring with it, Eliza quickly running over to support her before she hits the floor. Kayla staggers backwards, holding the title high to the crowd’s hatred with a dazed grin on her face. Esperanza makes it to her knees, staring after the title belt with anger in her eyes.}
Terri Morasco: Take nothing away from Esperanza Serranto, that was a hell of a gutsy performance. She definitely established herself as a name to watch in the Diamonds’ Division tonight.
Vasco Dias: She was impressive, sure, but tonight belongs to your Shieldmaiden, Kayla Richards. For Terri Morasco, I’m Vasco Dias. Thank you for joining us for our third Open Fight Night, and good night everyone!
{Esperanza manages to get to her feet, and the crowd cheers for her, serenading her with an “ES-PER-AN-ZA!” chant as the show fades to black.}
