I really enjoyed the show. Even if, and this is my only complaint, I have no idea who Cyrus Daniels is. That wasn't really explained.

That is fair, obviously there's a balance to strike with giving adequate explanation and the impact of a return but noted.

He's the guy who handed me my first defeat, that's who he is :pp
I felt the show overall came across as a bit of a filler ppv. Which in essence, it had become due to the lull in roleplaying and sudden changes in champions. There wasn't enough time to hype things up enough, despite our attempts.
I would like to give Lil AJ massive credit for an awesome main event, and to Mike for coding and posting it all from his phone.

I'd agree with the filler sense, due to obvious circumstances it was decided that the PPV should be used to set things up going forward due to not having the time to really hype it up so I hope it at least achieved that for everyone.

Don't worry Nighthawk, you'll soon see exactly who Cyrus is. I think for a PPV that was written off as filler, it actually had some pivotal influence in the direction going forward....

Most definitely, I don't mean to pass it off as nothing when I say filler because significant events happened and character development was shown and such.

I had that same feeling also about the pay-per-view, but it was still a good read, all things considered. Interesting way to end the main event, which is sure to leave both fans and readers wondering what is next in Verona's "Adapt or Perish" mandate. And if Cyrus Daniels is back, does that mean Stephen Kingsley, his tag partner in Criminal Intent, is sure to follow? Yes, these be dark days in IWF. With three shows left before 2015 comes to a close, it should be interesting to see how things unfold in the coming weeks. Also should be noted that under the revised schedule, this leaves Survival of the Fittest as the final pay-per-view of 2015.
Other points of interest from Survival of the Fittest...
» This is the first time in the SOTF chronology that the champions all retained their titles. The Ruby, IWF Heavyweight and Imperial titles changed hands in 2013, the Diamonds and IWF World titles changed hands last year.
» 69 wrestlers have competed at SOTF in its three-year history.
» 30 wrestlers competed in last year's event, yet only Death and Nighthawk return this year. 14 wrestlers made their debuts at this year's event.
» This is the first SOTF to feature five matches on the card. The 2013 and 2014 events both had nine matches.
» This was Roberto Verona's third consecutive appearance at SOTF (he was special guest ref at last year's main event) and the second time as a competitor. He is now 2-0 (def. Steve Awesome in 2013).
» Rob Diamond made his second appearance in the main event and the second appearance at the pay-per-view in three years and first since 2013. Death (of the Apocalypse) and Nighthawk make their second consecutive appearances after last year. Death and Fury defeated Thunder Sid and Cactus Jeff in a tag team match while Nighthawk defeated John Henry Holiday by submission
.» This is the first SOTF not to featured Alex Jones, Kristoff Liam Bates, Ashley Mastrangelo, Malaki Toala, Mike Laszlo, Ana Valentine or Mason St. Croix who all appeared in the first two events. Today, only Alex Jones remains in the company.
» Emma Danielson and Mercedes Vargas competed in just their second singles match in IWF. The win was her first ever over Mercedes in the company in what was their 7th meeting Sunday (including one time as tag partners) and their 16th overall meeting in their careers over four years. Emma is 5-1 lifetime in singles matches against Mercedes with the lone defeat coming at Bloody Assizes in June. Danielson's win was just her fifth in her 25th career match and it also ended a ten-match skid over four months. Her last win prior to Sunday was a mixed tag team triple threat win with Andrew Jacobsen versus Guernica and Fiona McFly and Mohamed Al-Thani & Crystal Hilton on the July 13th Sacrifice.
» Fiona McFly suffered her 12th straight loss and 20th overall in the 25th match of her career. She fell to 0-6 since her return, and she haven't won since June 8th against Paige Garcia on Sacrifice to qualify for the HT3 Tournament. Esperanza Serranto, in her 7th career match, has now lost three straight after a 2-1 start.
» Kayla Richards has won 10 straight matches as part of an an 11-match unbeaten streak while Alexis won her fifth straight as part of an 6-match unbeaten streak (this includes a tag match ending in a no contest back on the 10/19 Sacrifice featuring both Richards and Caffrey and Esperanza). Richards successfully defended the Shieldmaiden for the fourth time, meaning she'll get to choose her match stipulations in future defenses at this point. Caffrey successfully defended the Diamonds Championship for the second straight month.
» SOTF 2015 is the first event to be featured in the Pacific Northwest. The 2013 and 2014 editions were both held in New York (Madison Square Garden).
A new month, a new card and plenty of exciting matches to go around on what is a very heavy show in a few days. Seems as Emma Danielson's promised title match with Kayla won't be happening at Open Fight Night as once planned, but she'll be in action nonetheless, teaming up with Crystal Hilton against the Diamonds Champion and Esperanza Serranto. Who will step up to challenge Alexis Caffrey for the Diamonds Championship, now two months into her reign? Could Esperanza Serranto be next in line? Someone else? The start of the Invictus Number One Contender's Tournament gets underway, and Roberto Verona and The Ace team up against the Union of Jobbers in what might be a demonstration of the COO's power and the new law of the land. What does this mean for IWF and the still infant Immortal Era in its second month and what more surprises could be in store this Monday night?
So many questions with very few answers. Only way to find out is by turning in on 12/7 to witness the fallout from Survival of the Fittest! Looking forward to it in five days.

Stephen and Cyrus had a feud ages ago so, no it won't be Criminal Intent. Also, Open Fight Night is always the second Sacrifice after a PPV so rest assured Emma's title shot is safe and scheduled as planned...usually you don't miss these details Jamal, you must be slipping my friend...
