So how does it work? It’s quite simple, throw up a roleplay and you will be automatically slotted in to attack the champion during the show whose deadline you roleplayed in. It’s really that simple. You can even get involved, get as crazy as you like, suggest ways to attack them, submit your own attacks, this is going to be the most interactive belt in the company for as long as these rules are enforced.

So what about the champion I hear you ask?

Each week the champion will either be booked in a match already OR expected to put a roleplay up in these forums to “defend” their championship. If their work is better than those who challenge them, they will retain, if not…

Well, we have ourselves a new champion.

If, for whatever reason, champions are unable to roleplay for a week (due to illness, holidays etc) all roleplays will be put towards the next week they are active, so even if you roleplay but they’re away, your roleplay still goes towards the next “active defence week”.

Not booked on the card? Throw up a roleplay and see if you walk out the IWF Invictus champion. Feel like you’re a better champion? Roleplay and prove to everybody that you can beat the man holding the gold. Just want to try something new with your character? Do it here, the worst that can happen is that your backstage assault just fails to work, you lose nothing.

There’s no excuse not try something new or to worry about missing a week’s booking, this is your chance to be noticed. This is a way to be on the show when you’re not able to be booked.

RULE AMMENDMENTS

- Handlers may now submit roleplays posted for booked matches towards the Invictus. All you need to do is add [Invictus] to the title of your roleplay for it to count towards an Invictus title shot.

- In the interests of fairness, the Invictus champion will have a deadline of Monday 6PM GMT to respond to any challenges to prevent gaming the system. Rmember, any roleplay posted by the champion for a booked match counts as a defence, they do not need to do a second roleplay.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN “DECLINED”!”

Steve Awesome yells at the man handling the credit card machine as the all the people at the party sit and watch. Some laughing, some feel bad for him.

Credit Man: I mean.....it appears you have no money sir.

Everyone starts to rumor amongst themselves.

Steve Awesome: But of course I have money....do you know who I am!?

The credit man shrugs his shoulders.

Credit man: Broke? He can't pay fellas, load all this junk up.

Just then a crew starts walking in and they start loading everything Steve bought for the party onto dollys to wheel out of the backyard. Jayson couldn't help but feel bad, the party came to an end abruptly and it looks like Steve won't be able to surprise Mandi. Oh well, it's probably cool, just a banking snaffu and Steve will figure out a new way to surprise her. It should all work itself out.

“Excuse me.”

Just then a strange old man comes walking up. He could barely walk with his cane and he seemed ancient. But he had a cool Hawaiian t-shirt so he was cool in Jayson's book.

Jayson Matthews: Sorry old dude.....if your looking for Steve Awesome, I think the party's over.

Jayson looks back at the chaos. All the guests are getting kicked out of there seats and Steve Awesome is chasing a man carrying a turkey. The old man lowers his head in disappointment.

Old Man: What a shame. Well then perhaps you could answer my question then.....

Jayson nods his head with a smile. Old man probably just needed some directions.

Jayson Matthews: Sure bro....lay it on me.

Old Man: Do you know where I can find Jayson Matthews?

Jayson nods his head and starts pointing down the road.

Jayson Matthews: right, you take this road down to maplewood and then....

He realizes.

Jayson Matthews: you just said my name didn't you.

The old man smiles.

Old Man: Ah so your the one named Jayson Matthews.

Jayson Matthews: That's me, um.....how do you know me?

Old Man: I Don't know you, just your name. But I have been sent by someone important to teach you the ancient art of Invictus.

Jayson rolls his eyes.

Jayson Matthews: You? An old man? You know I used to think the Hawaiian t-shirt was cool but now I kind of want to take it back.

The old man pounds his cane into the ground in anger.

Old Man: it's true....all you have to do is get in my van....

Jayson crosses his arms and shakes his head.

Jayson Matthews: Nope....I've been fooled by this line before. Not going to let it get me a fifth time!

Old Man: I'm not going to rape you, you imbecile. Besides, your too gangly for me.

Jayson Matthews: UGH! I'm totally rapeable. C'mon lets get in that van so you can touch me inappropriately like I know you really want too.

Jayson goes to grab the old man's hand but the old man quickly sweeps Jayson's leg with his cane and Jayson falls to the ground.

Old Man: First rule of ancient invictus. You must expect attack twenty four seven.

Jayson Matthews: You sunova....

Jayson goes to get up and the old man trips him again.

Old Man: Oh...I can tell your going to be a slow learner....

Jayson Matthews: What the hell man! Why me!?

The old man hands him a scroll with his name printed on the side.

Old Man: The old scroll calls for it.

Jayson didn't expect to see his full name on that scroll.

Old Man: Now come with me to the van. We have work to do.

Jayson reluctantly follows the old man.

Jayson Matthews: Okay...but I have to say this definitely wont be the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me.....

Jayson follows the old man into the van.

oh CYRUSSSSS..............

I just wanted you to know big guy....that at some point this week at Sacrifice I'm coming for you. And that Invictus championship. Apparently im some ancient invictus prophecy or some junk and like all the planets have aligned and with the twenty/four seven ruling all the makings for an invictus revolution has arrived. I know it sounds wacky and to be honest I have no idea what it means but hey I've done worse things.

so apparently this week I'm going to sneak attack you and try to win your title. And hopefully if I pull off my training correctly.....you wont even see it coming...or something or other......
