{Addisyn and her new bff are totally chilling inside the busy nightclub sitting at a table in the back of the room, however as we pan out we see that this busy club just really isn’t busy anymore and a faint light is starting to come through the windows. The two don’t seem to care nor notice that they are essentially the only two people left. Addisyan takes another sip from her coffee and LoL’s at something that Steel says to her.}
Addisyn: So is this whole “bouncer” thing like your life calling or something? Or do you have any bigger plans for yourself?
Steel: I don’t know… never thought I was qualified for anything else.
{You can almost literally see the wheels inside Addisyn’s head turning as she’s talking to this gigantic man. She smiles as she takes yet another drink from her cup, and then puts her hand on his as it lays on the table.}
Addisyn: You know, I have some pull in the professional wrestling business. I am a pretty big deal in those circles and you certainly have the right look. With the right training you could be just as good as I am, possibly even better.
Steel: You would do that for me?
Addisyn: Oh yea, not a problem at all. I can just make a few calls and you’ll be in. Just you know you’ll have to climb your way to the top, I mean nobody is just going to hand stuff to you… you’re no Addisyn Starr. So it’s going to be a lot of training.
Steel: Is it hard?
Addisyn: Please. If Steve Awesome can do it, anybody can.
Steel: Well ok then, I guess I could give it a shot. Just one thing though, would you… you know… be there with me for it? I don’t know anybody and don’t know how to act or where to go, I figured somebody as important as you being by my side would be a big help as I get started.
Addisyn: Oh, don’t worry about that Steel, I’m thinking we’re going to be good friends for a long time… I’ve got some important plans for you.
{Addisyn smiles devilishly as she nods her head, we’re not quite sure if she’s doing it to reassure Steel or that she’s just that happy with herself for having duped this tower of muscle into being her personal attack dog, but either way she’s pretty happy right now, we can say that for a certainty.}
“A roulette match… where people can become legends, but more likely than not all your fighting and struggling will just be a footnote in the matches history, you’ll just be another name and number… entered here, eliminated by and remembered for nothing else.”
“So many people before now have put it all on the line in these situations and come away with nothing to show for it. So many people have given it their all to just be forgotten in the end because only one person is left with all the glory at the end of the night. If you’re not going to be the one standing with your arm raised… you’re going to be forgotten… unless you do something so incredibly stupid that you become infamous… which is even worse than being forgotten about.”
“You think I don’t know this? That I don’t know meaningful a match like this can be?”
“Oh I know, trust me.”
“I know the importance of this match here. That’s why I am here, that’s why I am throwing my name into the hat. That’s why I chose this time to finally make my debut, despite working on this for months now. I saw this event on the calendar and I knew this is where I needed to be, this was my chance to make a splash. I want to make a name for myself right off the bat, I want everybody to see just how serious I am about this, just how dedicated I am at being a succes. I won’t be just another footnote, i won’t be just some name people life at when they think “Thunder Kid lasted 7 seconds.” Addisyn Starr isn’t going to be a punchline for years to come, but on that equal setting she isn’t going to be just another forgotten face in the crowd either.”
“I’m not your ordinary bimbo who got this “great” idea in her head, now I’m so far beyond ordinary bimbo that I’m like up in the international space station while ordinary bimbo’s are still on Earth giving birth to the Steve Awesome’s of this world. I am extraoridnary, I am that special talen that only comes around every couple of decades, the next big name in this business, the next superstarr flying towards the Earth in a collision course of awesome destiny.”
“So go ahead and look at me as a non-factor, go ahead and think of me as just the little girl you can toss around and out of that ring whenever you want. The shock on your faces when I’m the one in the center of that ring who just cemented her legacy in the history books of the IWF, is going to be so much fun to watch. Getting on your knees, crying out and cursing the heavens that you just got your asses handed to by a little girl, that’s going to be the best memory from the match for me.”
“Sure, I could Joe Everyman on for hours giving you a detailed list of every single person in this match and how they are going to lose, but I’d rather just focus on the things that matter. The Rob Diamonds, the Spike Kanes, the Mike Laszlos of this company, the names that can make a difference, the names that have meaning. You people will be the first I want to sink my teeth into and no, I don’t mean in a way that you like, though I certainly make you beg for more in that way if I really wanted. You guys… *laughs*”
“You guys don’t even know what’s about to happen do you? You’re all old news, you’re all over the hill. You’re clinging on to what remains of your career trying to hold down the entire rest of the roster by clinging on to your fleeting success of the past. You need to move over, you need to step aside and let the new generation of talent rise to the top. You’re doing nothing but hurting the business by being has beens trying to retain your past glamour. You’re doing nothing but hurting this business by coming out here every week and boring all of us to death. This company needs a fresh face, this company needs a beautiful, powerful, kick ass independent female like myself to lead it into the future, not some tired out has-beens with no ability to evolve to the ever changing landscape of the wrestling world.”
“I’m sorry, but the truth hurts.”
“I’m not just about being famous, I’m not just about winning or making a name for myself. I’m all abou ttaking this company and this business as a whole into newer, greater heights. I want to make this clear to you… I’m a pretty face, and I don’t look intimidating, but the power inside of me… the drive to make this company an even greater success is burning and ready to explode. All the little girls who were told they’d never to be able to compete in a man’s sport, all the young women who were told they couldn’t make a sports team, anybody who was ever told the WNBA sucks… I am fighting for them. I am fighting to give them hope, hope that we kickass girls can do whatever we put our minds to.”
“That’s why I am fighting, that’s why I am going to win, that’s why you’re going to have your names added to the footnotes of the 2016 Roulette history books… You will be the ones who are were forgotten on this day… while my Starr will be shining bright.”
{We are backstage at Chicago getting ready for one of the biggest IWF pay per views of the year, High Stakes. We see Addisyn Starr in her ring attire with an added accessory…. A cast attached to her arm. Well, it sure didn’t take her long to start making excuses did it? Anyway, she is pacing back and forth in her and Steel’s locker room. The door comes swinging open and it’s her agent, David Conrad who comes busting in completely unannounced.}
David: Addisyn… how is the arm wink.
Addisyn: Dave, you can’t just say “wink.” And it’s “fine.” I can’t believe I’m finally here, thanks for all the help in getting me this far.
David: That was all you sweetheart. I’m not the one who gave that board member a special present under his desk.
Addisyn: Shut up.
David: I’m not here to judge, just coming to check on our “big” asset. You really think he’s ready for this?
{Addisyn begins laughing as if that was the most preposterous question she has ever heard. Conrad seems confused at this reaction, because well who wouldn’t be when the person you are talking to just erupts in spontanious laughter.}
Addisyn: Have a look for yourself…
{She walks over to a divider curtain hanging in the middle of the room, you know because they are a man and a woman sharing a dressing room so that kinda makes since, and she pulls it back holding out her hand to display what she is refererring to. Conrad lifts one eyebrow looking confused at the huge mound of muscle sitting there eating lucky charms.}
David: I dont’ know I would have been more impressed if it was Honey Smacks… those things taste like ass.
Addisyn: What?!
{Addisyn does a double take as she looks back there herself to see what David is seeing.}
Steel: Hi Addy.
{She closes the curtain shut and then glares at Conrad who is clearly not impressed here. Of course Addisyn is rightfully annoyed by the fact she's the one who looks like a fool here.}
Addisyn: No goddammit he was back there doing like a thousand pushups a few minutes ago. Trust me, it was very impressive looking. He did’t even break a sweat. He’s a monster.
David: Yeah, I know… just giving you shit. Just thinking of this plan of yours, makes me finally proud to say you’re my client. Well you know, if he goes out there does what he’s supposed to do.
Addisyn: He will, I’ve been training him for months. He’s ready. Now will you do me a favor… and watch him for a bit. I think I saw Roberto Verona a few minutes ago and I want to… “introduce” myself. He’s so hot.
David: Yeah, no problem.
{Addisyn claps her hands in excitement, before looking down at her “broken” arm and giggling. She puts her arm back to her side and winks before heading out the door leaving Contrad alone with Steel O’Buffington. Conrad turns and heads towards the divider and swings it open. He has a stern look in his eyes and clearly has something he needs to say to Steel before this event. What? Well just keep reading and find out… I mean watching.}
David: So you ready for this. This is your big opportunity with Addisyn’s arm in a sling. You know that right? Everything she has worked for, everything that she has wanted to accomplish in this business is on your shoulders. You realize this don’t you?
Steel: Of course, I would do anything for her..
David: You better be, I don’t want to see you slacking off, you remember all your training right?
{Like a terrifying mountain of muscle and mean Steel stands up and gets all up in David’s grill, towering over the suit clad weasel of a lawyer. Steam pours from Steel’s nose like a raging bull and he puts his finger in the center of Conrad’s forehead. Conrad is about ready to piss himself but in typical lawyer fashion he is playing it cool as he just stands there and gently pushes Steel’s finger away, with a slappable smile on his face the whole time.}
Steel: I said I got this! I won’t let Addisyn down, I would kill for her.
David: Calm down big fella. I’m just making sure. This is a huge opportunity for you too you know. You go out there and you clear that ring and are the last man standing… people will be speaking the name “Steel O’Buffington” for years to come.
Steel: But that’s not my…
Addisyn: Oh my god! He’s here, Conrad come quick!
{Addisyn has busted back into her room, clearing catching a glimps of her crush, Roberto Verona, and is now dragging Conrad away as Steel just sits back down into his seat and shakes his head at the fact that he still hasn’t been able to finish his sentence. He grabs his bowl of cereal and calmly begins eating again without saying a word, smiling at the thought of possibly winning the Roulette.}
Steel: You know… Honey Smacks do taste like butt..
{Or…umm... I guess I was wrong about that whole not saying a word thing… emmm… anyway; fade to black.}
“Look, I know I have been talking a lot of shit. But, there is something you need to understand.”
“Something super cereal, I mean it.”
“Forget everything you know about me for just one minute.”
“Forget this is a blog, forget that I am ranting about how much I want to win this match.”
“Read this in my voice, hear my words through this text.”
“I have been fighting for two long years to get back to this point. I have waited so long to finally get another chance to make something of myself inside that ring. I have given this everything, and now the time has finally come for my redebut. It’s finally time to introduce the world to the new Addisyn Starr. Win or lose, I’m going to make you remember me, i’m going to make you tune in to see what I have in store next.
