The scene comes to and I’m shown with my arms outstretched, holding the world in my hands.
This was all meant to happen. My sister and I were meant to follow Alexis as she blazed a trail for the Diamonds Division. We were meant to then be thrust out on our own, though still under her eye from afar, and my sister, unfortunately for her was meant to be stuffed in a casket by Eternity to all build to this one singular moment.
I point into my chest.
MY MOMENT…
I outstretch my arms again.
MY DESTINY!!!
I point down to the floor.
This is my chance to shine in this company, a chance for me to have my name written in the history books where it belongs.
I take a second to think of the impending match. I think of the chamber. I think of the opponents and I smile.
There’s a certain brutality that one needs to get to in order to achieve a dream. This is both in life, and in this profession is a certainty.
I hold out six fingers with both hands.
Six women will walk into that chamber with a singular goal in mind…
A chance…
A simple opportunity…
To face the Diamonds Champion at Night of the Immortals.
I shrug my shoulders.
So before I get to these other women, let’s talk about the prize...shall we?
Eternity.
The smile on my face turns into a scowl.
You put Alexis through hell. You traumatized my sister to the point where she doesn’t even want to talk...and for her, that’s a rarity. Now it’s time for you to get your comeuppance. It’s time to get the smack in the mouth you deserve, and unlike the woman...and I use that term loosely involving Kayla Richards, you’ll face at Destiny, I’ll be the one who gives it to you.
I cross my arms.
So now to what’s in front of me rather than looking ahead of this match because despite the bravado, despite the barbs that will be traded, in all honesty, this match will be absolutely the biggest match of my career. This is a chance to etch my name alongside Eternity and Alexis, and make my way to Night of the Immortals to accomplish my goal of becoming Diamonds Champion as the other women before me...which brings me to the opponents.
I hold my hand out beside me, palm face-up.
Let’s start with Avery Barnes.
I point into the camera.
The last time you and I were in a ring, you pinned me to the mat. You...beat me.
I start shaking my head.
And I hate to break it to you...that just doesn’t sit very well with me.
My finger ends up into my chest again.
I am the future of this damn division. I’m part of the future of this company as a whole, and this is my stepping stone to that. This is my chance to get to that, and if you think for a single solitary second that you of all people is going to be the one to stop me from achieving my goal, you’re sadly, terribly mistaken.
You’re hot. You’re in a position to take things to another level, to prove that your wins aren’t just a matter of beginner’s luck. You have a chance to show you are what people say you are. At the same time...I have the chance to prove that I am what I say I am. Trust me when I tell you...what I say...is far more important than what they say, so for me to prove it is far more important, and that drive, that determination...is what will push me to beating you and all the rest.
I hold out my other hand face-up.
Then there’s Fiona McFly. Aren’t you having fun yet little girl? I mean, let’s be honest...how many title shots do you and Crystal for that matter need to finally get the freaking job done? How many times do we have to see you flail about helplessly before you realize that you’re just not cut out to be in this business with those who are obviously, supremely more talented than you?
I place both hands on my chest.
Personally, I hope that you and I get in that Chamber numbers one and two so I can make quick work of you and have a little time off before the next entrant comes in. Personally, I want to get rid of you myself so myself and the rest of the world don’t have to hear you drone on and on about the injustices in your life, that compared to the rest of the world who are done the injustice of hearing you speak, is simply peanuts.
I’m gonna cut to the chase and be that mean girl you’ve thought me as.
I smack my hands together in an effort to make an emphasis on this point.
You AREN’T as good as me nor anyone else in this match. You CAN’T cut the mustard. You CAN’T hang. So to see you walk down that ramp and enter that chamber, I want it to dwell on you as it has on everyone else...you’re merely cannon fodder.
So Fifi...have fun, enjoy yourself. Take solace in the fact you’ve gotten this far again. Drown in the sorrows that you’ll once again fail...and mightily.
The scene fades out.

As the scene comes to again, we see my sister Sara going through some of her luggage in the local hotel. She’s come out of the darkness Eternity put her in slightly, but is still not that same sister of mine that I’ve grown up with and come to know. I walked up behind her and placed my hand on her shoulder. I felt the jolt go through her body of fear as she quickly pulled away with a gasp. She then realized it was me and closed her eyes, frustrated with her own fears.
I quickly pulled away and turned to the bed, having a seat.
Paige Garcia: So I see you’re not doing well?
Sara Garcia: It’s not that I’m not doing well, it’s that I’m still trying to overcome the darkness, the aloneness.
I sighed before putting my hand on the bed to the side of me.
Paige Garcia: Come here.
She was reluctant but turned and had a seat anyway.
Paige Garcia: What makes you think you’re alone? I’m here. Just because you got locked in a box doesn’t mean you’re alone. I’m here for you...no matter what, and I want you to know that.
She nodded slowly as she put her hand on my knee.
Sara Garcia: I know you’re there for me sis. I know that being locked in a box doesn’t make me alone, but this is more than that.
Now we were getting somewhere.
Paige Garcia: Is this still about him?
She nodded. I looked away for a minute and closed my eyes, refocusing on the task at hand before turning back to her.
Paige Garcia: You need to find a way past that. Sara, you loved a man. He loved you, but over time, you two drifted apart. You then realized he didn’t support you in your goals like you did him in his, and honestly, if that’s what you want…
Sara Garcia: Go on.
Paige Garcia: Honestly, it’s not fair. It’s not fair to you because as your husband he SHOULD support you, just as you do him. It’s not fair to him, because he’s incapable apparently of showing that affection, and it’s not fair to either of you to strain things to the point that you’re both going insane. So what happened is the best thing that could.
Sara Garcia: True.
I shoved her playfully to try and lighten the mood.
Paige Garcia: Everything I say is true, and you should always listen to me.
THERE IT WAS! For the first time in quite some time...a smirk...a smile even. Oh my God, someone check the sky to make sure it isn’t falling!!!
Sara Garcia: I don’t think I’ll ever go that far. However, you are right. This is the best thing that could've happened. The two of us are at the point where we needed to be freed and this separation has done that. Now...I need to take advantage of it.
I was getting through.
Paige Garcia: You do. Now we need to figure out how I can help you do it.
Sara Garcia: Oh geez.
We stared at each other for a moment. It was that time for the awkward sister hug that we do. I held out my arms.
Paige Garcia: Come on...bring it in.
Sara Garcia: Ew…
Paige Garcia: Come on.
Sara Garcia: Why do we hug so weird?
Paige Garcia: I don’t know...here…
I jumped forward and hugged her as she tried to push me away, but I wouldn’t let her. I then kissed her on the side of her face, and let her go as the scene fades.

The scene comes back in and I’m leaning up against the brick wall in the training facility.
But wait...there’s more. Like that idiot who calls herself the Silver Screen Queen, Crystal Millar. I have one question...a plea if you will. I might even consider begging if it meant you’d do it…
GO BACK TO THE SILVER SCREEN!
You’re the same as Fiona, only you somewhat learn from your mistakes, only to then ignore that lesson a week later and continue on and on about how you’re a new Crystal, about how things are going to chance, and about how you’re going to become even better than the dud you were the week earlier.
I bring my arms down along the sides of my body to show myself off.
This is what the future looks like Crystal. This is what better than you looks like.
I point into the camera.
You’re the past. You are what YOU are...and no name change, no words, will ever change any of it. You will continue to be oh so close, and you will continue to fail, the same as Fiona. The only difference between her and yourself sweetie, you have a side gig as a D-List movie star...if that. Maybe you can do voice overs?
What you can’t do is win this Iron Maiden, just like you couldn’t win the Diamonds Title, the bazillion times you’ve tried. You’re simply another obstacle in my way...another hurdle for me to jump...and jump I will.
I shrug my shoulders, clearly stating the obvious about Crystal that everyone, including her, knows about herself. It was time to switch gears though.
Shea O’Hara.
The girl who beat Kayla Richards, ending her long reign as Shieldmaiden...then threw up a goose egg against the current Shieldmaiden...Kate Steele...with an “E” mind you.
Shea, you’ve done nothing since coming into this industry other than a fluke win against a wannabe Diamonds Champion who had grander things on her mind. Since then…
I put my hand up to my forehead in the shape of an “L”.
You’ve been a loser.
I bring my hand down and cross my arms again.
So I’m glad you have some sort of hope in this match in your own mind. I’m glad you think you can do this. I’m the one standing here telling you that you can’t. I’m the one who is going to put her foot on your throat and end your dreams once and for all.
And then there was one.
And the one who comes last is the one with the absolute most on the line in this match. Does it get to you Kate? Do you realize the pressure you’re under heading into this match? Not only are you getting the same opportunity the rest of us are...you’re being forced to put your Shieldmaiden Title on the line as well.
You’re fighting for what’s yours...while the rest of fight for what we want.
I shrug with my hands outward.
That SHOULD make you more dangerous. That SHOULD make you the favorite in this match because you’re fighting for that much more...and yet...there’s not a single person considering you as such. I haven’t heard one person say that you’re the one pegged to win. Shea has upside. Crystal is the veteran. Avery has momentum. Fiona is Fiona...a waste of time. I’m the wild card...the future of this division. You’re just the champion...thrust into this match...with your belt on the line.
A smile comes over my face.
You’re the one who will lose that Shieldmaiden in this match. You won’t even make it to the end if I have something to say about it. I can’t wait to end whatever hopes you have of winning this match Kate. I love the fact that I get to crumble your dreams of being one of the main attractions of Night of the Immortals, and I ABSOLUTELY YEARN for the chance to end the title reign you simply don’t deserve.
I hold my arms out again.
Laying my cards on the table girls...it’s quite simple. We’re all heading into the fight of a lifetime. We’re going in with the same goals and the same desires. Different skill levels, different abilities, but there’s only ONE in this match with the undeniable desire, the hunger, and the motivation to win over all the rest...and that’s ME!
I’ll see you all in the Iron Maiden...and I look forward to being crowned as such. It is...DESTINY!
I blow a kiss to the camera, and essentially, all of my opponents as I walk of the camera as it fades to black.
The scene comes back in and I’m leaning up against the brick wall in the training facility.
