Penn State alum and second generation wrestler; Noah Walsh (also known as Noah Field) has recently inked a deal with Imperial Wrestling Federation much to the surprise of those close to him.
Upon graduating from Penn State, the son of Tony Field opted to follow in his father’s footsteps by climbing into the squared circle in Redemption Wrestling, a federation owned and operated by his father. Noah quickly climbed the ranks as he became synonymous for his in ring prowess as well is as his out of the ring antics. He became known as the entitled millennial who would not hesitate to tell everyone what he deserved simply due to who his father was.
At first he was criticized for being nothing more than a carbon copy of his father, even taking his father’s place in the legendary faction known as Dysfunction. Realizing he would never step out of his father’s massive shadow but having a desire for his career trajectory, Noah formed what would become known as Revolution. It was under this banner that the second generation phenom would start to come into his own.
Noah quickly became known for exploiting every loophole he could to both avoid matches and have his losses overturned; a tactic that grew him the wrath of the fans making him one of the most hated members of the roster. It was then that Noah also began to come into his own with a unique personality that played to his metrosexual tendencies. He began to embrace his look and eye for fashion as he openly pimped any and every beauty product or clothing line that would throw money his way, gathering an array of outlandish and luxurious sponsors that were priced out of the range for the typical wrestling fan, further endearing himself as a loathed superstar.
Many within the industry tied Noah’s success to that of his father; questioning whether he could have success outside of Redemption and outside of his father. Some pundits have referred to his amateur career here at Penn State, his rare showing of athleticism, and his unique charisma to peg Noah as an even bigger star than his father was. Other insiders claim he lacks the drive and determination of his father and truly has no desire to step out on his own and become his own man, citing his entitled attitude as a sign that he would much rather ride the wave his father created.
Having spoken with Noah, I believe his tenure in IWF will be a telling sign. With his father no longer in power and his stepmother not there to give him protective booking, now is a sink or swim time for the young superstar. It’s now time for him to sink or swim.
