Reported on IWF.com Tyler Jacobs updated his segment with the following information, available both at www.tylertalks.com, and IWF.com.
Ryan Shane is a veritable champion. A man who demands respect within the confines of the squared circle. He's a confident talker, and a true general in the ring. Ever since he captured the Man of Steel championship, in what some considered an upset, from Zasshu? He's made that belt his own. Not one to shy away from a challenger, he also demands that said challenger is worthy of a title shot in the first place. The two out of three falls match with Zasshu at Night of the Immortals is certainly a candidate for Match of the Year. With a defence against the loud mouthed JFK, and a well respected veteran in Nighthawk under his belt it means that Ryan Shane has already equalled the highest amount of defences on record. The record held jointly by the inaugural champion; Ryan Blade, as well as legendary superstars Jake "The Ace" Conway, and Rob Diamond.
With Lineage approaching fast, thoughts have to turn to whether Ryan Shane can break that record by defending the belt at the pay per view event. Having held the belt for 88 days (as of this article) by the time lineage rolls around Shane will have held the belt for 98 days. That still puts him quite a long way off of the record of 195 days, but closing in ever so much on the likes of Diamond, Conway, and Blade.
Either way, Addysin Starr has voiced her intent on taking said Man of Steel championship from Ryan Shane, with Steel O'Buffington by proxy of course. However, with JFK still vocalising his intent also, you have to wonder what is in store for the Man of Steel belt, and it's champion?
Either way, Ryan Shane has been an absolute pleasure to watch and evolve here in IWF, and he has certainly etched his name in the history books as one of the best to be called the Man of Steel.
