IWF is proud to announce the first ever Cruiser Weight Invitational! We are inviting Cruiser Weights from all over the world to take part in a two month tournament to determine the best Cruiser Weight in the world. Current IWF superstars will be matched up against some of the best in the world today.
We here at IWF are inviting the best and brightest at 210 pounds and under to take part.
From now until October Revolution, 10/30/16 there will be a series of matches, each match will be worth 3 points unless otherwise stated, the 8 men with the most points will move into a single elimination tournament which will end at Survival of the Fittest, 11/27/16 and the winner will be named the first ever IWF Cruiser Weight Invitational Champion!

This coming week I'd like to do an introductory segment to each of the Cruiser Weights who sign up so once you post your app here please send me about a paragraph of why your character is going to win written in character and I will put it all together into an awesome segment. Gimmick: Zasshu exploded onto the lucha scene two years ago and quickly made an impact as one of the few Japanese wrestlers to work mostly in the lucha style. His motives are his own but he aspires to be more than a man, his dream is to become a legend.

Once the song kicks into gear Zasshu comes exploding out from the stage with a burst of pyro and to boos from the crowd. He lands in a crouched position and looks all around before standing up and holding his fists up over his head. Laura Howlett marches out from the back and walks beside Zasshu as they head toward the ring. Zasshu sprints ahead of her and springs off a trampoline over the top rope and front flipping before landing on his feet. From there he runs to the ropes and leaps onto the second rope in the corner and holds his fists up again over his head as Laura Howlett claps from the outside. }
Primary Style: Lucharesu (Think Taka Michinoku, very fast paced, uses a lot of spring board type manuevers mixed with kicks and flips.)
Secondary Style: Japanese strong style (Like Kenta, when he has a hold of you he makes sure it hurts but this is strictly secondary as he uses his speedier offense first.)
Other Style: Technical (But uses it very sparingly.)
Strengths: Zasshu is determined and unrelenting in so far as the match itself is concerned. He's never met a man he couldn't humble between the ropes. He is fast and hard to catch, once he's got a hold of you he doesn't let go.
Weaknesses: He's on the smaller side so a larger opponent can man handle him a little bit. Some would also say he is naive as he's never faced an opponent who took things outside of the ring. Wrestling most of his career in Mexico and only being two years in, the more American "extreme" style is relatively unknown to him.

Strengths:
1: Massive Offensive Arsenal. As a direct result of his time training in Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe he has mastered many different holds and techniques and is constantly learning new attacks and submissions.
2: Strategy. There are few men in the world better equipped to think their way out of trouble, or to put together a game plan, than Nighthawk. It is said that he will never wrestle the same match twice.
3: Endurance. He has made his name for wrestling long and demanding matches, and manages to do so while wrestling a breakneck pace.
Weaknesses:
1: Lack of physical strength. When facing a true heavyweight he will routinely find himself overpowered and is forced to rely more on timing and tricks to keep his offense going.

A burst of maniacal laughter is heard throughout the arena as T.K. appears under a green spotlight near the top of the entrance ramp. He slowly makes his way to the ring as he looks around from side to side giving an eerie smile to all those in attendance before climbing up the steel steps and into the ring where he takes his corner and sits down while waiting for the bell to ring.

Strengths:
Great Resilience - While not so much an outright refusal to give up, it's damn near close. Having been abused as a child by both parents, he's developed a knack for getting up from injury and shaking it off.
Fondness of Pain - Having known nothing else but a dull life of torture and punishment, he's come to enjoy pain, and even live for it some might say. Having known nothing other than the pain of abuse from his parents, he's come to accept it as normal and wishes to share the experience with others.
Weaknesses:
Fragile Body - Despite his fondness of pain and his great resilience, his body is rather untrained compared to the others around him. Because of this, and while he can shrug off most minor injuries like they're nothing, he is more prone to serious injuries. Injuries one cannot simply shrug off.

Gimmick:{Please try to be as descriptive as possible} Buck is from a backwater southern town, in th ass end of nowhere. A high school football star, his career was cut short when his younger brother let the pigs loose and they ran onto the field resulting in Buck being sacked and injuring his ankle. Since then he’d been doing odd jobs around town and the family “compound” before a stranger handed him a flyer for a local wrestling promotion, and a new dream was born. Unconventional, a little dim, and very rough around the edges. Some might call him a country bumpkin, others a redneck, all that Buck cares about is making his town proud of him, and putting them on the map as a superstar…..one way or another. - Meaning he’ll cheat, but in a way that the crowd still love him.
