The points portion of IWF's first ever Cruiser Weight Invitational is coming to an end next week at Open Fight Night. Any cruiser weight in the CWI will be allowed to challenge any other cruiser weight (or number of cruiser weights) for up to 10 points and to secure themselves a place in the 8 man tournament.
The 8 man Cruiser Weight Invitational Tournament will kick off the week following Open Fight Night and culminate with finals December 5th 2016. The winner of the tournament will receive a special Cruiser Weight Invitational trophy, a large bonus and if an unsigned talent they will be given the option to have a one year contract with Imperial Wrestling.
Finally, rumors have run rampant about the possibility of a Cruiser Weight Championship making it's way back into IWF and while this rumor cannot be confirmed or denied we have gotten word that the winner may receive a title shot of some kind.
