CRUISER WEIGHT INVITATIONAL
SINGLES MATCH
The winner of this match gets the Eighth and final spot in the CWI Elimination Tournament.
Jace Styles vs Johnny Gillmen
----------------------------------------------------------
{ We open with a high light of the Cruiser Weight Invitational show casing such athletes as Chris Fenell, Zasshu, Nighthawk and Malo set to āThe Dukeā by Lamb of God before we head to ring side and do a scan of the Huntingdon Center in Toledo, Ohio and settling on Terri Morasco: Morasco and Vasco Dias. }Terri Morasco: Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Sacrifice and the IWF Excusive Cruiser Weight Invitational. Tonight we have the final match in the opening series of the tournament between Jace Styles and Johnny Gillmen for the final spot in the elimination portion of the tournament!
Vaso: Iām not entirely sure why we are even having this match, Jace Styles is easily the better man, the better competitor and possibly the best cruiser weight in the IWF.
Terri Morasco: That is your opinion and youāre welcome to it but Johnny Gillmen has been standing his ground and proving he belongs.
Vasco Dias: Letās see about that, roll the high lights!
{ We flash to the early portion of the match which saw Johnny go for a spring board cross body block but Jace instead ripped him out of the air with a nasty arm drag. Johnny would try to recover but Jace was on him again with a bulldog headlock into a leg drop! From there Johnny would try to fight his way back to his feet but Jace would mount a quick come back and instead connect with a spin kick and a sit down pile driver into a two count. }Terri Morasco: Iāll give you that Jace controlled the opening minutes of the match but Johnny wasnāt about to give up!
{ As we come back to the match we see Jace lining up his super kick but as he would come in Johnny would get under it and grabs Jace from behind with a leaping neck breaker! Both men would get right back to their feet but it would be Johnny who would connect with a flurry of martial arts strikes, mostly open handed slaps an strikes to the chest and neck of Jace before ending the combo with a shin kick to the side of Stylesā head. Gillmen would then come in with the Reverse Blast and a two count of his own. }Vasco Dias: Johnny showed he knows how to throw a few punches but thatās about it. Jace Styles easily turned the tides of the match after that.
{ Johnny is back up to his feet now as Jace is trying to find his footing. Johnny would come in fast but Jace would turn and connect with the HEAD SHOT Super Kick! And another two count but Johnny got his shoulder up. Jace would find his feet now and look for an opening as Gillmen struggles to stand. Jace comes in with a mule kick, then a spin kick then a spinning wheel kick that knocks Jonny off his feet. }Terri Morasco: Jace was able to take back control of the match but Johnny Gillmen doesnāt know the meaning of the word quit.
Vasco Dias: Well he should learn it before he embarrasses himself against a true superstar!
{ With Gillmen dazd and trying to find his footing in the corner Jace sees the opening he needs and comes running in for the backstabber but Gillmen rolls out of the way and Jace crashes into the turnbuckles knee first. As Jace starts to stand Gillmen grabs him with the BRAIN DRAIN! The crowd pops huge for Gillmen but Jace pulls him into a jawbreaker! Jace comes back at him but Gillmen catches him with a kick and a snap suplex! }Terri Morasco: The action would even out as we entered the ninth minute of the match. With only a ten minute time limit these two would pull out all the stops.
Vasco Dias: Time to see who wants the win most.
{ Both men are slow to their feet but Gillmen isnāt looking to slow down now as he runs to the ropes and spring boards of looking for a hurricanrana on Jace Styles but Styles catches him out of the air with a power bomb! Johnny tries to roll back to his feet but Styles is right there with the backstabber!!! Styles heads to the corner and climbs the ropes. Once on top he looks down then leaps off with the FLAWLESS FINISH!!! Johnny moves and Styles hits the canvas hard! Styles ties to get up but Johnny is right there and scoops him up for the HANG TEN!!! Johnny covers and the referee counts. ONE! TWO! THREE!!!}Terri Morasco: Johnny Gillmen just secured himself the eighth and final spot in the cruiser weight invitational elimination tournament!
Vasco Dias: Jace dominated this whole match! I can't believe this!
{ Johnny stands in the middle of the ring with his hands held high as the crowd cheers. }----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Derek Brooks vs Jayson Matthews
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fallā¦
{The synthesized beginning of "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor begins to play as the crowd grows silent.}YOU READYYYY!?
LET'S GO!
{The beat breaks in and the strobe lights around the arena go with said beat as the crowd begins to amp up.}"This is ten percent luck..."
{As the lyrics begin a single spotlight shines on the man known as "Greatness" before he glances over his shoulder, staring down at the ring. With a concentrated look he slowly turns and starts down to the ring as he's announced.}Alison Valance: From New York City, weighing in at 265 pounds, he is "Greatness Personified"...DEREK BROOKS!
{He holds out his arms at the end of the walkway as his name echoes throughout the arena as the fans cheer him on. He climbs the stairs and walks along the apron to the corner where he ascends and looks out to the crowd before flinging his arm in the air much to their appease. He jumps down and steps through the ropes, walking to the center, bouncing around, light as a cat despite his large frame as he gazes out to the crowd before snapping around, climbing the corner and flinging his arm in the air again as the flashbulbs go off everywhere. He jumps down and continues bouncing from one foot to the other in a graceful manner as he waits for the match to begin.}Terri Morasco: Itās been awhile since weāve seen Derek Brooks in an IWF ring.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, the last time we did, Noah Fields shut his mouth. Unfortunately...heās backā¦
Alison Valance: And his opponentā¦
The drum beat kicks in. Then the guitar riffs. Jayson Matthews comes stepping out onto the entrance ramp moving his head to the beat and staring out into the crowd with a wide eyed stare of awe at the packed house in attendance. He steps onto the entrance stage and makes sure to hit both sides of the stage to hype the crowd as the lyrics start.
Last call now I'm outta time
And I don't got no valentine
Singled out, now I stand alone
The underdog in a modern world
Suburbia is hot tonight
But nothing seems to feel alright
I don't want your sympathy
I just need a little therapy
At least that's what they say to me.
With that Jayson pumps himself up and runs for the ring with intensity as the chorus starts.
Hey ho let's go
I'm gonna start a riot
You don't wanna fight it
One two fuck you
Don't tell me what to do
I don't wanna be like you
He slides into the ring and all the lights in the arena start flashing black and orange really fast as Jayson climbs to a turnbuckle and yells into the crowd as they cheer back at him.
Can't you see it's killing me
I'm my own worst enemy
Knock me down I'll keep on moving
It's the art of losing
The music starts to fade as Jayson waits for the match to beginā¦
Terri Morasco: Last week, Jayson was at the receiving end of a beating from InFamous when The Ace came out to the rescue.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, Ace sticking his nose where it doesnāt belong...heāll get his.
{The two men circle the ring as the bell rings. They lock up in the center of the ring and itās quickly Derek who takes over with his power and weight advantage, pulling Jayson forcefully into the corner. The referee goes to back Derek out of the corner and he continues to talk trash to Jayson who holds his arms in the air.}Vasco Dias: I donāt know which of these two I really want to win, but Derek has a loudmouth.
Terri Morasco: He does, but the bravado seems to have won over some of the fans.
{Derek waits for Jayson to get out of the corner again, and the two lock up again, but this time itās Jayson switching behind Derek, and then grabs the arm, running forward with a Bulldog like move to the right arm of Derek!}Terri Morasco: What a move by Jayson.
Vasco Dias: Clever indeed. He may have hyper extended Derekās elbow.
{Derek rolls across the mat, clutching at his arm as Jayson follows him toward the ropes. Derek rolls out of the ring and Jayson follows, grabbing Derek by the arm and looking to whip him shoulder and arm first into the steps, but Derek grabs hold of Jayson with the other arm and sends him toward the steps, flipping him over as his knees hit hard!}Terri Morasco: And now it looks like Jayson might have an injury to his knees.
Vasco Dias: That looked all kinds of painful.
{Derek tries to shake some feeling back into his arm as he walks toward Jayson, grabbing him and rolling him into the ring. Derek hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. Derek picks Jayson up by the head and lifts him into the air, only to drop him with a Brainbuster! Again Derek hooks the leg, but again Jayson shows his resilience, and kicks out at two. Derek stares down at his adversary.}Terri Morasco: Derek canāt believe he canāt put Jayson away.
Vasco Dias: Jayson has shown resiliency in the past, even last week in the beating he took at the hands of InFamous.
{Derek lifts Jayson to his feet, and throws his arm over, looking for the āDisplay of Greatnessā but Jayson hits him in the head with a couple of elbows, the last sending Derek stumbling away. He turns and Jayson shoots his foot toward Derekās face, looking for a Superkick, but Derek catches his foot and spins him around, hooking him up and driving him down with the āDisplay of Greatnessā (Rock Bottom)!!!}Terri Morasco: Display of Greatness by Derek Brooks!
Vasco Dias: Nice sequence thereā¦
{Derek hooks the leg with a smile on his faceā¦
1!
2!!
3!!!
The bell rings as āRemember the Nameā hits the speakers.}Alison Valance: Here is your winner...DEREK...BROOOOOOKS!!!
----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Kyle Mason vs Bob Pooler
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing firstā¦
{"Real Rock'n Rolla" blares through the PA system as Kyle Mason steps out from behind the curtains. His black hoodie covering his head as he steps out onto the entrance way. Natasha walks out and stands behind Mason as he simply scans the crowd before making his move towards the ring. Mason makes his way down the walkway and hops up on the ring apron and sits on the ropes to allow Natasha in the ring.}Alison Valance: Now on his way to the ring, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and weighing in tonight at two hundred pounds ... he is the Strong Style Nightmare ā¦ KYLE ā¦ MAAAASON!!!
{Natasha smiles at Mason as she climbs up on the ring apron and slowly bends over in front of Mason before stepping into the ring. Kyle joins her in the ring as streamers fly into the ring. Natasha takes the hoodie off of Mason to revel a skull biker mask. Mason takes off the mask and tosses it to the side as he begins cracking his neck and knuckles. Natasha gives Kyle a few words of advice before leaving the ring and Kyle leans against the turnbuckle waiting for the match to begin.} Terri Morasco: Kyle Masson has been chomping at the bit for a fight, Vasco.
Vasco Dias: Well, heās had a few chances to āfightā, but all he did was roll over.
Terri Morasco: Well, with the intensity etched on his face tonight, I think that the winds of change are blowing in his direction!
Alison Valance: And his opponentā¦
{The lights in the arena dim as a three second countdown appears on the jumbotron. The opening guitar riff of "How To Be A Human" hits as the countdown reaches zero and Pooler walks out onto the stage amongst the shower of cellphone flashes. Sporting a smirk, he holds a hand up to his head, shielding his eyes before pointing at a section of the crowd with a smile.} Alison Valance: Making his way to the ring; from Manchester, New Hampshire; weighing in at two hundred and twenty-eight pounds ā¦ Bob ā¦ POOOOOLER!
{Pooler heads down the ramp, breaking into a run and sliding into the ring beneath the bottom rope. He pops back to his feet and heads to the nearest corner and climbs to the second turnbuckle and throws his arms into the air to the roar of the crowd. He drops back down to the ring and grabs hold of the ropes, tugging down on them and taking a moment to stretch before the match can begin}Terri Morasco: And hereās the high flying, hard hitting, wise cracking, self described Forgotten King!
Vasco Dias: What stupid nickname will he come up with next?
{The referee gives both men a quick rundown of the rules and what he expects from the match, before lifting his hand to wave for the bell.}DING DING!!!
{Pooler is hot out of the gate with a jumping heel kick to the side, targeting Mason's ribs! Unfortunately for Pooler, that puts him in close to the Strong Style Nightmare who catches him by the wrist and flips him to the mat for a classic armdrag takedown. Pooler wrenches his arm free and rolls away before kipping up to the delight of the fans who enjoy a bit of showboating. Mason however rolls smoothly enough to his feet and grabs Bob's wrist again and spins him into a hammerlock before he drops him with a DDT. Mason moves to cover as Pooler's arms fly up to cradle his head and one of his elbows accidentally clips Mason in the chin. Mason falls back as Pooler sits up, shakes his head with a sick laugh before he reaches after Bob, lands a punch to the ribs and winds up for another.
Before it can connect though Pooler sits up, dodges, and grabs Mason by the back of the head to hit him with an extremely short-range facebreaker DDT! Mason flops over on his back after his head hits the canvas and Pooler goes for an early cover. The crowd cheers the referee as he drops fast to count.
ONE!
ā¦
TWāKICKOUT!}Terri Morasco: Pooler looking a little salty after that kickout ā¦ but those back to back DDTs were sort of sweet.
Vasco Dias: I don't know, I really like what Masonās pulling out of Pooler tonight. We havenāt seen this salty side in a long time.
{Back in the ring, both men roll to their feet at nearly the same moment, Pooler snickers a little as he wipes his face off with his hands and then charges in on Mason to get in under his defenses. It was a risk but he manages to snare Mason into a front facelock and he starts to pepper the already struck ribs of Mason, and works on backing him towards the ropes. As he does so however, Kyle turns and shoves Bob into them instead at the last moment! He rebounds, but ducks under a huge clothesline and shoots the far ropes, coming back right as Mason whirls with a jumping heel kick that got him right in the mush! Mason drops to a knee and Pooler backs off, sizes him up for a knee to the face but at the last second Mason drops flat to the mat and Pooler leap-frogs right over him.
He shoots the ropes as Mason sits up but again at the last second Mason rolls out of the way and evades, and this time he tangles Pooler up with a drop toe hold and Bob hits the mat with a hard SMACK. Kyle Mason scrambles to float him over and cover as the referee drops to his knees fast for the count.
ONE!
ā¦
TWāSHOULDER UP!!!}Terri Morasco: And it's Pooler's turn to survive as the match goes on!
{Pooler takes back control as he puts Mason into an abdominal stretch hold; he pulls hard on the move as Mason yells, and then he switches his grip so he can drop some brutal hits on the exposed right side of the Strong Style Nightmare. Bob smack talks him a little, the fans cheer as he grins and goes for another hit but Mason lurches, and manages to connect the side of his head with Pooler, who yells out and releases him from the submission maneuver. Mason fixes Pooler with a cold stare and huffs a laugh as Pooler turns back towards him. Bob looks pissed as he holds a hand against his head, checking for blood. He gripes a little to the referee who shakes his head and indicates that there was no foul. As Pooler turns he gets blasted with a discus lariat that almost hits the referee as well, but he quickly ducks just in time.
Pooler crumples but manages to roll out of the ring for a breather. He takes his time to gather up his focus but just as he turns to get back into the ring Mason crashes into him after he leaps through the ropes, grabbing Pooler by the head and delivering a tornado DDT to the mat-covered concrete floor!}Terri Morasco: Now that looks like it hurt, Mason had good aim though, looks like Pooler ate all that DDT.
Vasco Dias: Couldnāt have happened to a nicer guy.
{Pooler sits up first, he shakes his head to clear the cobwebs before he looks around for Mason. The referee yells at them both to return to the ring and clearly ignored he starts his count.
ONE!
ā¦
TWO!
Mason gets to his feet and looks at the ref counting, then looks at Pooler and runs at him for a classic Lou Thesz press takedown, his fists rain down punches on Pooler who tries to cover up.
THREE!
ā¦
FOUR!
Mason suddenly goes stiff and falls to the side, his hands immediately going to cradle his family jewels as Pooler has apparently accidentally kneed him in the crotch!}Vasco Dias: Did heā¦ did he justā¦ ?
Terri Morasco: HAHA YES HE DID.
{Mason is super pissed and no one blames him, he staggers to his feet and blasts Pooler with a kick to the side. Pooler gets up and feels on his ribs to check them and dodges another kick before Mason locks up with him and they exchange more punches before Mason grabs Pooler by the back of the head and slams his head into the announce table!
FIVE!
ā¦
SIX!
ā¦
SEVEN!
Bob is woozy but he has the presence of mind to grab Mason by the back of his head and return the favor and slam his head into the announce table! They exchange another pair of these face-smashing blows to the table as the table rocks and then Terri Morasco's bottle of water tips over and splashes all over Vascoās lap.}Vasco Dias: Baaaaah! Look what you did, you little jerk!
{Whether or not he got the Home Alone reference, Bob gives him the finger and Mason laughs but the pair lock up and scuffle before Pooler trips over Mason' boot and the pair go crashing down again.}Terri Morasco: These two... one of them needs to get to the ring and break up this count!
{Pooler seems to realize what's going on as he looks up and sees the referee counting at the ropes.
EIGHT!
ā¦
NINE!
He shoves off Mason and scrambles to his feet and rolls under into the ring just in time to break up the count.}Vasco Dias: Look out Pooler!
{Mason scrambles up the steps and hops over the the top rope, as Pooler turns around and he spots Mason and rushes towards him. Mason sidesteps him and locks him up for the Losing Streak. Pooler squirms and worms his way until heās able to get an elbow to strike Mason in the temple. Mason drops Pooler who rolls quickly back to his feet and hits a back kick right into the breadbasket of the Strong Style Nightmare. Doubled over, Mason is unable to stop Pooler from grabbing him in a quick double undertook that he lifts and spins before dropping Mason down hard on his head. Bob rolls him over and makes sure to hook both legs as the referee slides into position ā¦
ONE!
ā¦
TWO!
ā¦
THREE!!!
The fans begin cheering as the ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING!!!}Alison Valance: And here is your winner via pinfallā¦ Bob ā¦ POOOOOOLER!!!!
{The referee is barely able to get Bobās hand raised before a shaky legged Kyle Mason breaks it up with a hard shove from behind. Pooler turns, arms raised to continue to fight but the referee quickly stands between them, doing his best to usher Mason from the ring and keep Pooler back}Vasco Dias: Aw man, let them fight.
Terri Morasco: I have a feeling this isnāt the last time we see Kyle Mason and Bob Pooler locking it up in the ring, Vasco.
Vasco Dias: Well next time Iām gonna bring my rubber pants ā can someone get me damn towel out here?
Terri Morasco: Wait ā¦ you have rubber pants?
Vasco Dias: Commercial break, Terri ā¦ go to a damn commercial!

SEGMENT
āA message from managementā
----------------------------------------------------------
{Kate Steele is stretching out when there's a knock at the door and She finds herself Face to Face with Pandora.}Kate Steele: "What do you want?"
{Pan hold both hands out and smiles gently.}Pandora Freeman: "I come in peace yo, chill.. I just wanted to make sure you were ok"
{Kate blinks and frowns and is about to respond when Pan slowly walks around her and gives her a slightly playful hip check.}Pandora Freeman: "despite everything being everything sugar.. I don't wanna see more folk end up on the bench, We're in this together."
{The Other blue haired woman finishes her circle, smiles and blows a kiss with a small chuckle.}Pandora Freeman: Friends are a rare commodity out here.. Just tryin' to be one.. Later sugar.
{Kate is left looking somewhat confused, but with a little smirk on her face.}----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Gabriela Luna vs Kate Steele
----------------------------------------------------------
{Monster by Paramore begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does Kate Steele along with her husband Teddy Steele begins to emerge from the back curtain. Kate has a huge smile on her face as she stares at the roaring crowd who are all cheering her on. She begins to sprint down the aisle as she claps the hands of outstretched fans.}
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by Teddy Steele, from Berkshire, England, weighing in at 110 pounds, Kate Steele!
Terri Morasco: Kate Steele in action tonight, hoping to bounce back from a tough loss to Jinx by spoiling the debut of yet another Diamond.
Vasco Dias: Itās a long road to the top, and if our resident English punk has anything to say about it, this will be that first step back to championship glory.
{Kate finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd cheering her on. She closes her eyes placing a single finger over her lips offering the Shhhh sound which all the fans follow in. She takes her place in the corner afterwards waiting for the match to begin.}
Alison Valance: And her opponentā¦
{The relentless opening chords of "Vortex" by Los Savants crash out as Gabriela Luna dashes out onto the stage, throwing her fist into the air to the cheers of the crowd. She shouts at the crowd, beckoning them on with her hands, and grins widely at them before turning and charging down the ramp.}
Alison Valance: On her way to the ring, making her IWF debut, from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, weighing in at 105 pounds, Gabriela Luna!
Terri Morasco: Gabriela Luna, the latest addition to the Diamonds roster, and an example of the international eye for talent possessed by the head of the Diamonds, Kathleen Conway.
Vasco Dias: Iāve seen tape of this woman performing in 10,000-seat arenas in Mexico. She says thereās nobody like her in IWF, and Iām inclined to agree. I canāt wait to see these two go at it.
{Gabriela leaps and slides feet-first under the bottom rope, rolling to her feet and coming up with a defiant shout of joy. She runs over to the nearest empty corner, leaping up onto the second turnbuckle and further beckoning the crowd on before hopping down into a crouch and waiting for the match to start.}
Terri Morasco: Lots of electricity in the air tonight, and here we go!
{The bell rings, and the two women close with each other, locking up for a brief moment before Gabriela whips Kate over with an arm drag. Kate gets to her knees, cautious, and Gabriela beckons her in, smirking arrogantly. The two women move in to lock up again, and this time Kateās the one who breaks early with a middle roundhouse kick. Gabriela holds her ribs, wincing slightly, and itās Kateās turn to return a cocky grin and a one-fingered beckoning. The two women close again, and Kate leverages her height advantage to lock Gabriela in a side headlock, sweeping her over with a headlock takedown and keeping the hold applied.}
Terri Morasco: Excellent technical prowess on display from Kate Steele, and a rare chance for her to press a size advantage.
Vasco Dias: Kate noted that she has a size advantage for once in her career, and I think she wants to make the most of the circumstances. Itās smart to ground a high-flyer like Gabriela, and Kate Steele knows better than most how dangerous it is to let her run free.
{Kate continues to crank on the headlock, Gabriela trying to pry her arms apart. As quickly as sheād applied it, though, Kate switches to a headscissors, cranking back on the neck. Gabriela grins through the pain, though, and quickly headstands up out of the hold, snapping to her feet and bouncing off the ropes with a double knee strike to Kateās face! Gabriela spins to her feet, charging in at the rising Steele, and leaps, catching her with a quick headscissors takedown that flips Kate head over heels! Gabrielaās right on top of her, grabbing her wrist and whipping Kate towards the corner. Kate manages to reverse the Irish whip, charging in after Gabriela, only to have Gabriela slingshot over her and scoop Kate up with a schoolgirl roll-up!
ONE!
KICKOUT! Gabriela shakes her head, grin never fading from her face.}
Terri Morasco: A little taste of that lucha libre experience from Gabriela Luna, and an early pinfall attempt got only a one-count.
Vasco Dias: Early pins help you feel out an opponent. This is smart from Gabriela. Sheās not used to American-style wrestlers, so she's adjusting just as much as Kate.
{Gabriela hauls Kate to her feet, delivering a big forearm shot followed by a knee to the gut. She Irish whips Kate to the ropes, leaping for a frankensteiner, but Kate ducks under, springboarding off the second rope and catching Gabriela with a crossbody as she turns around! Both women are up quickly, and Gabriela snaps off another quick arm drag. Kate hits the mat and bounces right back up again, ducking a clothesline, and both women hit the ropes, Gabriela leaping up for a tilt-a-whirl into an arm drag! Kate slides out to the apron, shaking her head, and Gabriela charges her, only to be met with a high roundhouse kick! Gabriela staggers, charging in again, and is met with a shoulder thrust this time. Kate slingshots in for a sunset flip, but Gabriela rolls through, attempting a roundhouse kick of her own. Kate ducks, snagging Gabriela in a schoolgirl, and transitions it smoothly into a Boston crab! Gabriela cries out in pain, struggling against the hold as Kate wrenches on her back!}
Terri Morasco: What a sequence there! Kate Steele using that technical game AGAIN to secure an advantage!
Vasco Dias: Itās what brought her to the dance, Terri, and if she can keep this up, itāll take her to a win here tonight. Very clever, very opportunistic, I love it.
{Gabriela claws towards the ropes, but Kateās power advantage is clear as she bears down on the hold. Shaking her head, the Mexican woman takes a different tack, reaching back and grabbing at one of Kateās ankles. She grabs at Kateās heel, managing to get just enough room to deliver a nasty chop to her ankle! The extra torque provided by Gabrielaās wrenching of her own body dissipates as Kate releases one leg, grabbing at her ankle. Gabriela uses the space provided to whip her foot up and kick at Kateās other knee, forcing her down and letting Gabriela snare her in a small package!
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!
Both women stumble to their feet, Kate hobbling slightly and Gabriela wincing as she clutches her back. The moment they lock eyes, though, all of that pain is forgotten as they charge each other and begin lighting each other up with strikes! Gabriela and Kate fire kicks and forearms at each other, but Gabrielaās strikes are landing just that bit faster and harder, giving her a momentary opening which she uses to hit a short-arm reverse STO! Gabriela floats over and onto her feet, measuring Kate carefully, and hits the ropes, wrapping her legs around a kneeling Kateās head and spiking her with the ONATOPP DRIVER! Gabriela hooks the leg!
ONE!
TWO!
THāKICKOUT!}
Terri Morasco: Oh my God! I felt that from here! What a nasty hurricanrana driver!
Vasco Dias: She used the opening she made to get out of that Boston crab, and all it took was one momentās hesitation to set up that devastating move.
{Kate clutches her neck in agony as Gabriela punches the mat, shaking her head. She throws her head back, letting out a bellow of anger, which elicits a loud response from the crowd. She hits the ropes, somersaulting and looking for Rolling Thunderā¦BUT EATS KNEES! Kate got the knees up! Steele shakes her head as she makes it to her feet, rolling her neck to try to get some feeling back into it, and hauls Gabriela up to her feet. She delivers a quick kick to the side, buckling Gabriela again, and hooks her in a front facelock. As she lifts Gabriela into the suplex position, though, Gabriela floats over, hooking her in a rear waistlock and running Kate to the ropes for an OāConnor roll. Kate hangs on, but Gabrielaās grip doesnāt break. Kate fires an elbow backwards, getting a switch into her own waistlock, and dumps Gabriela on her head with a German suplex! Gabriela rolls onto her stomach, and Kate seizes the moment to dive on her and lock in the ANKLE LOCK! Kate torques on the hold, and Gabriela screams in pain as her foot is twisted viciously!}
Terri Morasco: ANKLE LOCK! That holdās a tried-and-true favorite for Kate Steele, and sheās working it for all sheās got here!
Vasco Dias: Welcome to America, Gabriela! You might be learning a new song here tonight, itās called the Three-Tap Symphony!
{Gabriela flails against the hold, reaching desperately for the ropes. Kate hauls back on the lock, and Gabriela looks hopelessly lost in the middle of the ring. She forces her foot underneath her, hopping up to a near-standing base, and glances back for a moment. Kate whistles at her, cooing an apology as she cranks the ankle lock for emphasis. Gabriela shouts back āYOUR SINGING SUCKS, PENDEJA!ā Kateās momentary look of surprise is enough for Gabriela to twist herself around and deliver a modified enzuigiri to Kateās wrist! She breaks the hold, and Gabriela gently rests her weight back down on her injured ankle. Kate moves in to attack, but Gabriela leaps back and kicks Kate down with LA TIJERA! Both women are down as Kate rolls out of the ring to recover, clutching her neck while Gabriela stares breathlessly at the sky.}
Vasco Dias: PELE KICK! RIGHT WHEN SHE NEEDED IT! And it stopped the singing!
Terri Morasco: She calls it La Tijera, a tribute to Mexican Superior Football, and that big overhead kick just earned Gabriela Luna some valuable seconds to recover. Can she capitalize?
{Both women struggle towards the ropes as the referee starts to count Kate out. Gabriela makes it up a heartbeat before Kate does, and seeing her opponent on the floor, a light flips on in her mind. She hits the ropes near Kate, running them to the far ones and leaping through the middle rope for the ARROW OF ARTEMIS suicide dive! Kateās bowled over again, and Gabriela is on her feet, grabbing the Brit and flinging her back into the ring. Gabriela follows her in, snaring a grounded wristlock, and pulls her up by the wrist, hauling her in. Kate ducks under the outstretched arm, though, floating over and looking for a DDT! Gabriela braces herself, though, and fires a knee to the gut as Kate lands! Kate breaks the facelock, doubling over, and Gabriela hauls her in, hooking her in her own front facelock and lifting Kate for the AERIAL SPIKE!}
Terri Morasco: Huge dive to the outside from Gabriela Luna, followed by the Aerial Spike! What a move!
Vasco Dias: She uses that move as a tribute to IWF Superstar Falcon, a childhood hero of hers, and it doesnāt look like thatās going to be all!
{Gabriela hauls herself towards the corner, grinning, and pulls herself up to the top rope, looking out at the crowd and shouting āĀ”MĆRAME!ā to them. They respond with a huge cheer, and Gabriela nods, flipping off the top rope and connecting with the PHOENIX SPLASH! She hooks Kateās leg, biting her lower lip as the referee counts!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE! Gabriela leaps to her feet in joy as āVortexā plays, the referee raising her hand.}
Alison Valance: Here is your winner, Gabriela Luna!
Terri Morasco: What an excellent debut for Gabriela Luna, with a hard-fought win over Kate Steele!
Vasco Dias: Kate was on her game tonight, but Gabriela was not going to be denied. One hell of a debut for our newest Diamond. I just wish sheād hit Kate a few more times.
Terri Morasco: Canāt you let anything just be, Vasco?!
Vasco Dias: Never. I have to add the personal touch.

DIAMONDS TAG TEAM MATCH
Jinx & Fiona McFly vs Helena Sawyer & Pandora Freeman
----------------------------------------------------------
{This match went back and forth, and it was Fiona McFly who Helena started taking advantage of, getting the upper hand. Fiona though ducked a Clothesline and kicked Helena in the head before tagging in Jinx who came in and started clearing house, eventually knocking Pandora off the apron into the barricade at ringside. She then turned toward a dazed Helena, kicking her in the gut, and then hitting her with the āReaperā (Front Flip Piledriver)!
Jinx would hook the leg and get the three count for her team.}----------------------------------------------------------

āA message from managementā
----------------------------------------------------------
{ Backstage we see Dre Cutler warming up for his match tonight when there is a knock at his locker room door. He opens it up to see a shot stage hand there holding out a letter. }Stage Hand: This is for youā¦ Itās a message from management.
{ Dre takes the letter and quickly rips it open with an inquisitive look on his face. He reads over the letter once and then a second time before looking up with a smile. }Dre Cutler: Looks like I get one more shot at the House.
{ He tosses the note over his head and walks out of the locker room. We turn to focus in on the note and the line that says āYouāve earned a place in the Extinction Event.ā } ----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Dre Cutler vs Todd Williams
----------------------------------------------------------
{ "Die This Way" by Hopsin hits the speaker system. The crowd buzzes in anticipation as the bass from the song rattles through their chests. The curtain brushes aside and Dre Cutler hops onto the stage, squatting down with his elbows on his thighs as he examines the crowd, a smile on his face. He stands up, head bobbing to the music, and kisses index and middle fingers and points them to the heavens above. He bounces towards the ring and slides under the bottom rope. He makes his way to a neutral corner and does some quick stretches as he waits for the match to start. }Terri Morasco: Dre is one of the hottest young fellas to grace an IWF ring...
Vasco Dias: So say the humanoids out there who actually cheer for him, which...there ain't many of 'em. Hahaha...
Terri Morasco: Really now?
{ Be Somebody begins to blast all across the speakers. The moment it does that is when Todd Williams comes out with his girlfriend Kimberly Matthews. Todd smiles as he runs out slapping the stretched out hands of all of the fans. That are cheering him on. He runs down to the ring and quickly slides inside. He holds his hand up as his girlfriend takes his place on the side of the ring. He bounces around passionately waiting for the match to start. }Vasco Dias: Does this poser still have a job? He can't be worse than, say, Johnny Gillmen...
Terri Morasco: Will you give JJ a break?!
[DING!]
{ The match gets underway as the two men lock up ring-center, neither one gaining an advantage at first as they jockey to see who can take command. Dre backs Todd in the corner and throws a couple of right hands before the man in stripes calls for a clean break, to which the Alabaman does as he's told. Dre steps back a couple before locking up again; this time Williams, the more experienced of the two, backs Cutler into the corner, firing off some lefts of his own before the zebra calls for the break. Just as he does as he's instructed, Todd is shot into the ropes; Williams bounces off, ducks underneath a clothesline, before turning around and catch Dre with a standing dropkick, followed by a second! Cutler gets up off the deck and throws a hard right lariat to the temples, only to see it blocked and countered with a European uppercut! Cutler is sent reeling toward the ropes as Williams shoots him in; Dre bounces off the strands and into a solid spinning tornado DDT that spikes the Heir to the Throne finalist into the mat. Running with a head-full of steam, Todd launches himself off the second rope, nailing a corkscrew Lionsault variant that scores a two-count! }Vasco Dias: Gotta admit, Todd's off to a good start...BUT it won't last, much like Johnny's career.
Terri Morasco: ...
Vasco Dias: *snickers*
{ Todd picks his opponent up off the canvas and tries to apply a high vertical suplex...only for Dre to flip head over heels and plaster him to the deck with a swinging neckbreaker! The 50-50 split Toledo crowd comes to life as Cutler gives Williams a look of intensity, ready to seize control of the match. }Terri Morasco: Uh-oh...I can see that fire in Dre's eyes!
Vasco Dias: And NOW you say somethin'?!
Terri Morasco: Of COURSE! I'm growing quite tired of your poking at another human being's livelihood for no reason--ESPECIALLY someone like JJ!
{ Dre pulls Todd up to a vertical position before firing off some left and right-handed palm strikes, sending the former nCw star backing up towards the corner; Cutler shoots Williams toward the opposite set of buckles chest-first, causing Todd to turn around, staggering as he clutches his ribs from the impact. This leads to Dre executing a perfectly-slick belly-to-belly suplex; he holds onto his opponent before applying a second belly-to-belly suplex! Todd rolls on the deck and out to the floor! Dre immediately proceeds to the outside, where the two men start exchanging fists as the zebrashirt begins his count. } Referee: ONE! TWO!!
{ Conscious of the double-count going on, Dre sends Todd crashing shoulder-first into the steel steps before sliding into the ring to break up the count. Slowly getting up and clutching his shoulder, Williams manages to pull himself underneath the bottom rope...and right into the waiting arms of the Alabama native, who executes a Dragon suplex--transitioning into a bridge that nets a two-count. Dre stands up, determined to put this match at an end, springs up to the top buckle before NAILING his victim with a high-range missile dropkick! The crowd senses that the game is almost over for Todd Williams as Dre puts him into position, executing his famous Spiral Tap dubbed "CROWN ME!" }Vasco Dias: Game over!
Terri Morasco: Yupp...looks like this is the end!
{ Dre goes for the cover... }1...!
2...!!
THREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
[DING-DING-DING!!!]
{ "Die This Way" begins to play again as Dre Cutler celebrates his victory, leaving Todd Williams to wonder what went wrong. }----------------------------------------------------------
EXTINCTION EVENT QUALIFIER
James Franklin Karn vs Nighthawk
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: āThis next contest is scheduled for one fall and is an Extinction Event Qualifier.ā
{The lights go dim as the bass drum and guitar siren sound from the opening of "American Monster" by Everclear comes blaring over the speakers, "You better run....you better run" A rain of gold pyro comes down over the entrance as JFK comes walking out from the back "On the edge of the American Dream, a perfect place for someone like me" Wearing his new "American Monster" T-Shirt with his classic Jack Daniels inspired logo on the back and his normal wrestling gear. He makes his way down the ramp slapping hands with a few fans and rolls into the ring; "Ah yeah, you better believe there's a monster in me" he stands in the middle of the ring throwing his arms out in a crucifix pose with his body tilted to the side a bit, he then rips his shirt off up over his head and tosses it into the crowd going to his corner ready for his match.}Alison Valance: āIntroducing first, from Miami, Florida and weighing in at 230 pounds, please welcome James Franklin Karnā¦. JFK!ā
{As the ring announcer moves to a neutral corner the lights in the sold-out arena dim for just a moment as the opening strains of "I Remember (Spartan X Intro)" by Tristam boom out over the sound speakers, as Nighthawk walks to the ring confidently shaking hands with the crowd as he does so. Climbing up on the outside of the 2nd and 3rd turnbuckles the "Wrestling Machine" exhorts the crowd to make more and more noise before climbing into the ring and submitting himself to be checked out by the referee.}Alison Valance: āAnd his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois and weighing in at 185 pounds, āThe Man of 1000 Holdsāā¦ā¦ āThe Wrestling Machineā Nighthawk!ā
Terri Morasco: āAnd with the Extinction Event coming up shortly, we are now at the place where qualifying matches are scheduled. And this ought to be a very interesting contest, between two men who want a shot at the House of Howlett for 2 very different reasons.ā
Vasco Dias: āI think, when it comes to popular support, Nighthawk is going to edge JFK here. While JFK wants a shot to get his championship back, Nighthawk is looking for finally, and completely, avenging what the House of Howlett did to him that night in White Plains.ā
{As the referee goes over the rules with both men, making sure that each one of them understands what is expected, the crowd loudly and vociferously makes their choice known by chanting āLetās go Nighthawk!ā until the building literally shakes. Licking his lips as he stares a hole through JFK Nighthawk calmly removes his electric-blue ring robe and hands it to the referee, his eyes never leaving those of his opponentās even as the roar of the sold-out standing-room only crowd grows ever louder. Ringing the bell both men continue to stare holes through each other, each man not seeming all that interested in committing the first mistake. Finally locking up with each other JFK quickly uses his 45-pound weight advantage to bull his smaller opponent into the corner and then up onto the turnbuckles where the referee is finally able to force the break. But as soon as JFK lets go of the collar-and-elbow lockup Nighthawk quickly locks in a hanging armbar as he begins to work on the left arm of the Miamian before letting go on the count of 4 and smoothly landing on the floor. Nodding his head as if he might have expected that JFK calmly waits for the āWrestling Machineā to step back in the ring before they again lock back up and this time JFK is again able to back Nighthawk up, and this time delivers a receipt for the armbar earlier in the form of a hard elbow to the face that clearly rocks the Chicagoan. Seeing an opening JFK goes for another elbow only for Nighthawk to duck it and land a barrage of massive knife-edge chops which the āAmerican Monsterā shrugs off at first before finally rolling to the floor to stop the attack. Rolling back into the ring, wincing and stretching a bit as he now is warmed up a little bit, JFK again goes for a collar-and-elbow lockup and uses his advantage in strength to hook in a tight side headlock and take it over, insultingly patting the āMan of 1000 Holdsā on the head as he does so.} Terri Morasco: āI have to ask if this is the pace Nighthawk wants to wrestle at. Heās usually known for keeping things slow and relying on his conditioning.ā
Vasco Dias: āI talked with him earlier in the day, and he said heās not going to sit around and wait. If an opponent decides to push the pace heāll be right there to keep up. If you want to go slow, heās fine with that too. I think heās more interested in being adaptable to what his opponent is giving him than wrestling in the same style every time.ā
{But as he continues to crank on the headlock Nighthawk crosses his ankles together and begins to rock his way out of trouble, quickly grabbing an armlock before twisting that over into an attempt at a La Majistral cradle which only gets a 2-count. Quickly popping up to his feet Nighthawk lands another barrage of chops to the chest as he appears to be wanting to wear his larger opponent down only for JFK to block the last chop and attempt a counter forearm only for Nighthawk to grab the left hand and quickly hit a quick wristbreaker followed by a step-up enzuigiri to the left arm. Seeing the opening as JFK recoils away from that enzuigiri in pain Nighthawk quickly heads up to the top turnbuckle and goes for a diving frankensteiner only to get caught with a gorgeous powerbomb. Running his thumb across his throat JFK hits a gorgeous leaping high knee to the jaw followed by a folding powerbomb that gets a heartstoppingly close 2-count as the Miamian looks at the referee in shock. Picking Nighthawk up again, this time signaling for the Final Nail, JFK is shocked when the Chicagoan somehow reverses out of that into a prawn hold that gets a 2-count. Popping up quickly JFK sets up Nighthawk for a 2nd folding powerbomb only for Nighthawk to counter that into a sunset flip that gets a long 2-count. Looking to consolidate the advantage he built the āWrestling Machineā rushes in with a lungblower to the left arm which he attempts to follow up with a palm strike only to get hit with a 1-armed spinebuster. But while he was able to cover immediately previously the āAmerican Monsterā takes a moment to shake out his further-weakened left arm before going for the cover, again looking in shock at the referee when he gets another 2-count. Pulling Nighthawk up by his hair JFK yells at him to just stay down before going for another high knee, only to see Nighthawk duck out of the way as JFK first crotches himself on the top rope and then rolls to the floor holding his groin. Seeing the best opening of the match the āMan of 1000 Holdsā hits a gorgeous tope con Hilo that sends him flying into the crowd.} Terri Morasco: āThese guys both are showing you how important the Extinction Event is by the way theyāre going after this match and going for pins as much as they can. This is not a thing where they want to feel each other out.ā
Vasco Dias: āIf youāll notice, even in a match like this, Nighthawk is still working on strategy. Also, JFK is beginning to slow down. The work that he put in on that left arm is bearing fruit even now, as JFK canāt cover quickly after big offense like he would want to do.ā
{Rolling JFK back into the ring Nighthawk smoothly heads up to the top turnbuckle as he measures his opponent before landing a double stomp to the left arm. But as he looks to go for the Hangmanās Clutch JFK counters that into a gorgeous scoop powerslam as he tries to pull himself up to his feet with his right arm, as his left is clearly too weak to be used for anything. Measuring Nighthawk again JFK tries to hit the Final Nail but finds his left arm too weak to properly apply the underhook thus forcing him to attempt a short-arm lariat.
Landing the short-arm lariat JFK continues to hold onto the left arm and lands a shotgun lariat to the jaw followed by another one to the back of the head before hitting a gorgeous arm-trap backdrop driver that gets the 3-count.} Alison Valance: āThe winner of the match, and advancing to the Extinction Eventā¦.. James Franklin Karnā¦ JFK!ā

āExtinction Event Announcement.ā
----------------------------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: Last week as the show went off the air and we were presented with the card for this week there was a memo about an announcement for this years Extinction Event.
Vasco Dias: I donāt know what it is but Iām excited.
{ We turn to the ring where the challengers are all standing, James Franklin Karn, Falcon, Dre Cutler, Eternity and Paige Garcia. On the ramp stands Jessica Reed and Crystal Millar when āCanāt Stopā by Sixx A.M. hits the pa and out walks Laura Howlett followed by Cable Arcane, Spike Kane and Noah Field. }Terri Morasco: Here we go, the champions are on the stage, the challengers are in the ring. Itās time to find out what this announcement is.
Vasco Dias: Maybe the House will be given a free pass, since they are too good to be defending against the likes of Dre, Falcon or JFK.
Terri Morasco: I highly doubt that
{ Alison Valance makes her way into the ring with a microphone in hand and a letter as well. She stands in the center of the ring as the challengers stand around her, Eternity noticeably away from all of them. Laura stands at the front of the stage and interrupts the proceedings. }Laura Howlett: I just want to say before we hear whatever this announcement is that I am disappointed in the so called challengers the IWF has found for my House. We are the pinnacle of professional wrestling, the best there has ever been and the fact JFK, Falcon and Dre Cutler are the only men they could find is justā¦ Insulting.
Vasco Dias: Damn right!
Terri Morasco: She may feel that way but each of these men earned their spot.
{ Alison looks on waiting for her cue to go and then raises the mic. }Alison Valane: I have been asked by management to deliver a message to both the challengers and the champions in this years Extinction Event.
{ She opens the letter and begins to read. }Alison Valance: It has come to the attention of management that there is a certain out side force who has been bending the rules in their favor for months. The Extinction Event is a staple of Imperial Wrestling, a match that has crowned some of the greatest champions we have ever had and out side forces cannot be allowed to tarnish its good name.
{ Her eyes go wide as she reads the next bit. }Alison Valance: That is why this year for the first time ever the Extinction Event will take place inside of a steel cell!
{ The crowd loses their minds. }Alison Valance: That way we can assure that there will be no out side forces swinging the odds in their favorā¦
{ Laura loses her mind on the ramp. }Laura Howlett: ARE YOU KIDDING ME! You cannot do this to the House of Howlett! You cannot keep my clients from the ring!
{ Alison just shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders as the challengers all look very excited, especially Eternity. }Terri Morasco: This huge! For the first time ever the Extinction Event will be held inside a steel cell!
Vasco Dias: This is unbelievable! How the hell can they do this!
Terri Morasco: It was managementās decision! And they decided to keep the rest of the House out of this match!
Vasco Dias: This is egregious! This is absurd! This-
Terri Morasco: The best news Iāve heard all day!
{ Laura is still livid as her mic has been turned off and we close the show on the champions and challengers split screen. }
