{The backstage reporter, and all around whack job Willy Carter is followed by IWF's cameras in the backstage area, trying to get a scoop from a wrestler leaving the arena. Alexis Caffrey and Mike Laszlo are seen walking by.}
Willy Carter: Mike...MIKE!
{The two stop, turning toward the interviewer.}
Mike Laszlo: What is it Willy?
Willy Carter: Do you have comments about what Cable Arcane said about you this past week?
Mike Laszlo: I don't waste my time with egotistical pieces of shit who talk tough, but when a challenge comes, duck at every opportunity. How about you sum it up?
Willy Carter: Well, he basically called you a coward for waiting to cash in your Joker In The Pack at Night of the Immortals last year. Waiting for a moment where the champion would be vulnerable. He then...
{Mike holds up a hand, narrowing his eyes.}
Mike Laszlo: He really can't be that stupid can he?
Willy Carter: It's what he said.
Mike Laszlo: First and foremost, let me let you all in on a little secret. The moment I threw Rob Diamond off that ladder and grabbed the contract is the moment I decided I was going to headline the next year's Night of the Immortals. There was no opportunistic time. There was no picking out a weakened opponent. I didn't care who the champion was, or how the Roulette went down...I was going to headline that event.
{He sighs.}
Mike Laszlo: What else did Captain Talk Shit say?
Willy Carter: He said you took up the fight against The House of Howlett in your hometown, only to fade back into the shadows. He said you were afraid to step up and challenge him.
{Mike can't help but give a sarcastic chuckle.}
Mike Laszlo: I think he's been hit in the head a few too many times. A week later, I was there when Mandi Matthews smacked that bitch Laura Howlett's taste right out of her mouth. Two weeks later, our so-called "fighting champion" took on Derek Brooks and after he beat Derek, he bitched and moaned about no competition...then I showed up. I looked at Cable and I reminded him of how I made him tap out the last time we were in a match. I told him that he was doing his best to imitate me, even going as far as calling himself the Best in the World, when I've been calling myself the Best Period since the day I walked into this God damn establishment. I looked down at Cable and told him that if he was oh so desperate for competition...I was right there, and when we get in the ring...I'll make that punk tap out...just like I did before.
{I put my hand on Willy's shoulder.}
Mike Laszlo: Pretty sure that sounds like a challenge to me? How about you Alexis?
{She nods.}
Mike Laszlo: How about you Willy?
{Willy nods as I shrug my shoulders.}
Mike Laszlo: So I'm not quite sure where this notion is of me shying away from challenging Cable...as a matter of fact...he's been ducking me since I came back...like the scared little boy that he is.
{I turn toward the camera.}
Mike Laszlo: I told you that your time was coming Cable...it will be soon, and when I get my hands on you...you won't be considered the Best in the World...you'll be nothing more than an afterthought.
{Mike and Alexis continue to their car as the camera watches them leave.}
