We open up in a stage set that has a huge IWF/KIWA banner hanging in the background, Maria Iniesta looking as lovely as ever is sitting calmly waiting for her cue
Maria Iniesta: Good evening and welcome to IWF Talks, I'm your host Maria Iniesta. Tonight my guest is one of the four men that will be in this week’s Sacrifice tag team main event. Your IWF Invictus Champion, The One JFK!
The camera pans out to show JFK sitting next to Maria, his IWF Invictus Championship sitting on a small coffee table next to him in full display.
JFK: Thanks’ for having me again Maria.
Maria: Thank you for coming on again. Before we start, I just want to congratulate you on your victory over the once undefeated Noah Field and becoming the new IWF Invictus Champion.
JFK: Thank you Maria, as much as Noah would like to downplay this championship and his reign, the man was undefeated when I beat him, and I'm glad people are not believing his fake news that he didn’t lose this title to me.
Maria: Well I am a journalist, I deal with facts not propaganda.
JFK: And there are those of us who appreciate that Maria. Thank you.
Maria: Let's get into this week’s Main Event. You will be teaming up with Bob Pooler, a man who is the number one contender for your IWF Invictus Championship that you will face off against one on one in a week at Danger Zone, but this week he is your tag partner. Now, last time you teamed up with Bob was to go against the House of Howlett in the Extinction Match, that didn’t work out the way you planed, how is this week’s match going to be different?
JFK runs his hand down his slightly thicker than normal beard and gives a grin.
JFK: Well for starters, we won’t have to worry about Rob Diamond interfering with the match now will we? No, we can thank the Face of the Franchise for that, Steve Awesome and I broke the Houses foundation at Metamorphosis and now we are going to sit back and watch it crumble.
But as far as my tag team "partner" goes this week. Well...me and Bob, we don’t see eye to eye. He goes around claiming he's about the IWF, that he wanted to save the IWF from the House, and that he is owed certain things around here. But the fact of the matter is, when it came to defeating the House, something I know a little bit about, he let his ego, and pride get in the way, and failed. But, my issues with Bob I'll address at a later time, this week we have to be on the same page as we have to face off against two of the most skilled, talented, and athletic wrestlers the IWF has to offer today.
So I am willing to put whatever issues we have with each other on the back burner to go out there and have the BEST match of the night, and if Bob can put his ego, his pride, and his selfishness to the side, maybe just maybe, we'll walk out with a win.
Maria: The two men you face off against this week are Nighthawk..
JFK: THE Nighthawk.
JFK grins.
Maria: The Nighthawk, and Andrew Jacobsen. Both of whom have been on the wrong end of their matches lately, do you truly see them as a threat?
JFK looks almost shocked at the question.
JFK: Let me explain something to you about The Nighthawk. The dude is a wrestling machine. You saw his match WITH Jacobsen right?
Maria nods.
JFK: That match was a clinic. A work of art by two master artisans. And yeah, sure..Hawk came up a bit short, and has been for the last couple of weeks, but if I've learned anything about the man, it's that he never gives up. He will be waiting for us in the middle of that ring Monday night ready to go to war.
And it will be a war Maria, I have no grudge, no hate, no animosity towards The Nighthawk, I respect the man as much as I respect anyone else in that locker room, maybe even a bit more for how much he gives back.
He didn't need to take Jayson under his wing, but he did. Because that's the type of man he is. That's why I have no issue paying for Jayson’s housing and training while he works with Hawk, because I know it'll be a sound investment.
With that being said, I am fully prepared to go to battle with the man known as The Nighthawk.
JFK holds up one finger.
JFK: BUT...but. Like Devlin last week, and Noah before him, he's missing one key ingredient that one needs to beat me, The One JFK. And that's that killer instinct, the drive to go above and beyond what is needed to be done, to get the job done.
The Nighthawk has all the god given talent in the world to be one of the best this business has ever seen...ever. Hell some might argue that he already is. I'd be one of them. But he doesn’t have it in him to do what needs to be done to beat a man like me.
Maria: Are you suggesting The Nighthawk learns to cheat?
JFK laughs at that.
JFK: No not at all, I'm saying Hawk needs to learn to be a bit more vicious.
You can't be telling someone you are sorry for what you are about to do to them in that ring while trying to win a match, you do what you need to do within the rules of the match, and then afterword’s if you are friends, you buy them a drink and some food, AFTER the you've won the match.
Maria: Better to ask for forgiveness than it is permission?
JFK: Exactly.
Maria: The other man in the match you'll be facing off is the recently returned Andrew Jacobsen, a man who you've had issues with in the past...
JFK cuts her off.
JFK: Eeehhh, My brother in law has had issues with Jacobsen, but then again, who hasn’t had issues with my brother in law? Listen, Jacobsen and I, we go back to the nCw days, we've known each other in passing for years, I've never really liked him, and I don't think he likes me, be it because of reasons against me, or because of my accusation to my brother in law, I don't know, and to be quite honest...I don’t care.
Jacobson is a hell of a talent, the kid has been on fire ever since coming back to the IWF. And I'd be lieing if I said I wasn’t paying attention, because I have.
He looks dead into the camera, smiles.
JFK: Bout damn time you grew some balls and went after the girl.
He gives a wink before continuing on.
JFK: I've even thought about reaching out to Jacobsen and seeing if he would like to join our ranks, but thought better of it as if he did, he'd reach out to us.
We here in KIWA we are going to continue to do our thing, and continue to help grow and improve the IWF brand, and if others want to join us, there is an open door the more the merrier. But as far as Jacobsen goes, well...let’s be candid here.
Jacobsen is the weak link in this match.
Maria: Now hold on a second, Andrew Jacobsen has won titles all around the world, to say he's the weak link...
JFK waves his finger.
JFK: This has nothing to do with what he's done in the past, what he'll do in the future, or even his talents in that ring, that are second to none, no. Jacobsen has all the skills needed to be the best of the best, he has all the tools needed to be the face of this company one day, but the fact of the matter, this week, this moment, right here, right now, he's a broken man.
The Nighthawk took him to hell and back, then Spike Kane showed him the other six levels. There is no way, no way, he is in ANY shape to be in that ring with two more than capable men like me and Bob Pooler, not after the types of matches he's just been in, not after that nasty crash Spike put him threw off the top of the cage. I'm sorry, but even Batman wasn’t the same after his fight with Bane, and Jacobsen is no Bruce Wayne.
Maria: Too be fair, you've been in some brutal matches lately also.
JFK: I have, but nothing, nothing like what Jacobsen has gone through the last month or so, and trust me, I know from first hand experience, matches in that cage, in that cell, they take their toll on you, and it catches up with you quicker than one would think.
If this was any other week, any other place, then yeah...I'd be honest and tell ya me and Bob have our work cut out for us with these two, but as it is.
Hawk is mentally broken, Jacobsen is physically broken, and they have to get into the ring with a man who is on a mission to prove that he's not just as good as he says he is, but that he is in fact, better than you.
JFK looks dead into the camera, his hazel green eyes piercing into your soul.
JFK: Hawk, Andrew, take your Midal, take your Tylenol, take your Wellbutrin, Xanax, Will’s special cigars, take whatever it is you need to take to get your mind and body right because this week you have to get into the ring with two men that will do whatever it takes to walk out of the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Two men who in a week will go to war WITH each other but this week will team up to give the fans one hell of a show, Two men known simply as Bob Pooler, and The ONE...Jay...Eff...Kay.
JFK goes and shakes Maria's hand before removing the mic from his shirt, grabbing his title and holding it to the camera so all of the world can see the nameplate on it, that simply reads "JFK"
