Zasshu and Laura Howlett, the original members of the House of Howlett. There was a time they were inseparable, there was also a time when Zasshu was thought of as the Future Face of the Franchise. Both those times had now past and it was becoming more and more obvious to the people around them that even their business relationship was dissolving.
”What the hell was that!?”
The two of them come through the curtain at the gorilla position, Laura’s face racked with anger while Zasshu looked unphased, as if the loss meant nothing to him.
”I know that mask isn’t sound proof!”
She gripped him hard on the shoulder, stopping him abruptly but he didn’t turn to face her.
”Dammit Akihiro! You asked for that match and then you go out there and put on a piss poor performance!? What the hell is wrong with you!?”
He turns around with a fury in his eyes as he looks down on Laura.
”Both Jimmy Snart and I share the same Earth. We had an agreement.”
She sighed and looked away.
”You’re asking me-“
She looks around them and then leads Zasshu away from the crowd of people in the gorilla position.
”You asked me to help you kill someone.”
”Otherwise I tear apart everything you have built.”
”I remember…”
”Then why does he still breath?”
She swallowed hard before answering.
”Because you want me to kill someone for you, Akihiro and that? That isn’t something I’m prepared to do. So you want to tear apart what’s left of the House!? Go for it. Rob lost his contract, Spike lost his mind and Cable and Noah want to tear each other apart! So go ahead! I call your bluff!”
He looked at her for a long moment before turning on his heels and just walking away, this alone infuriated Laura.
”Yeah, walk away! The only thing you’re going to do is what I say! And what I say is handle this bullshit with Malo or I’ll find someone who will!!!”
He just kept walking, he wasn’t interested in arguing with her right now or ever again. For the last year she’s been dictating his future but now it was time to forge his own future.
Fade to black.
A sound that can only be described as disgust breaks through the darkness, almost like a “tsk” but more guttural.
”Malo, you poor ignorant son of a bitch.”
Our scene slowly comes into focus with Laura Howlett standing strong before a black background, her blood red skirt suit and platinum blond hair standing out even more because of it. She doesn’t look amused though there is a hint of a smirk.
”I almost feel bad for you until I remember how utterly goddamn annoying you are. I mean is it too much to ask for you people to learn the language before you come here? Look at my client, Zasshu, the Future Franchise, he speaks English as well as he wrestles.”
“Flawlessly.”
“But you bumble and fumble never quite finding the right word which pretty much sums up your in ring career to this date. Just some flippy skippy bullshit with an occasional win here or there. You got luvky out lasting my client in the cruiser weight invitational but ever since then you’ve done absolutely nothing.”
She shakes her head before continuing.
”Floundering like a goddamn fish out of water. It’s amazing you’ve lasted this long in Imperial Wrestling and even more amazing someone like my client Spike Kane hasn’t come along to end your miserable little career yet.”
“That all changes this Sunday Night. You see, Malo, you’ve been a gnat buzzing my ear now for a few weeks, pretending to be friends and partners with my client, Zasshu and you’ve been sorely mistaken. My client isn’t your friend, my client isn’t your partner, my client will be your personal destroyer as he slowly and meticulously rips you apart inside of that ring.”
“Bueno Club? No Malo, this is the House that Howlett built, Imperial Wrestling, it’s championships, it’s bosses, it’s roster all belong to me. I am the single most powerful person in the history of this company and I prove it each and every week by handling the most capable wrestlers this sport has ever known. Roberto Verona? His strength comes from signing checks but what he doesn’t have is exactly what I have.”
“Loyalty.”
“I have men and women, some you don’t even know about who answer to me, who follow me, who wait for my say so before even so much as drawing a breath. The day you decided to stick your nose into my business if even by an innocent mistake was the day your contract in MY company became forfeit.”
“My client, the Future Face of the Franchise, Zasshu, the former Man of Steel and Invictus Champion will defeat you but he will do so much worse than that. Because through you I wish to remind this company of how dangerous the House of Howlett is. We will take their beloved Malo, their court jester and we will crucify him in the middle of the ring. Say goodbye Malo.”
The lights suddenly turn out and plunge us into darkness.
”The House always wins.”
