Terri Morasco: Jayson Matthews has shown some improvement here in this match, but he hasn't been able to pull off a maneuver that could put Buck Spencer away.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, because Jayson Matthews is a loser, plain and simple.
{Buck comes swinging in with a clothesline but Jayson ducks and goes for The Jayson Matthews Experience but Buck gets his head under the kick but Jayson lands awkwardly onto Buck's shoulder's. Buck stands straight up and Jayson finds himself in a precarious position. Jayson then shifts his weight forward and manages to pull off a gorgeous victory roll pin! The ref slides in to count.}
1.....2......3!!!!!!
The crowd gasps.
Vasco Dias: WHAT!? He did it!?
Terri Morasco: NO WAY!
The ref looks at Buck in surprise, and Buck looks at Jayson in utter shock and Jayson looks back at the both of them trying his best to even fathom the situation.
Allison Valance: Here is your winner.........Jayson Matthews?
The Art of Losing plays over the speakers and the ref raises the hand of a bewildered Jayson and it finally starts to dawn on him what happened.
Jayson Matthews: I did it?
Vasco Dias: HE did it?
Terri Morasco: He did!
The excitement takes over and he hops out of the ring and high fives the fans as he runs up the ramp. Behind the curtain there was Tiffany Jones waiting for him.
Tiffany Jones: Jayson Matthews, you finally beat a long standing losing streak that had been bothering you, how do you feel?
Jayson just smiles from ear to ear, and he tries to think of the words to describe how he felt but his brain was just flying a mile a minute.
Jayson Matthews: I.....I.....
Just then he spotted Nighthawk in the background watching everything go down and suddenly he knew exactly how to express how he was feeling. He leans forward to speak into the mic.
Jayson Matthews: Excuse me-
Jayson walks passed Tiffany Jones and the press cameras and made a bee line straight toward Nighthawk and immediately wrapped his arms around the master of 1000 holds and squeezed him tight.
Jayson Matthews: Thank you so much, coach! I don't think I could have done it without you.
Nighthawk smiled and patted Jayson on the back.
Nighthawk: You've done well, Jayson. I'm proud.
Nighthawk pulls back from the embrace and looks Jayson in the eyes.
Nighthawk: But the work is far from over, we have many more lessons to go through in the weeks to come.
Jayson Matthews: Yes, Coach Nighthawk.
Suddenly a smile pops through the stoic demeanor of Nighthawk.
Nighthawk: But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate tonight. Tell me, do you like pineapples on your pizza?
Jayson Matthews: Oh yeah! You know it!
Nighthawk looks at him with disgust on his face.
Nighthawk: Well then, we may have to re-evaluate this friendship.
Jayson looks at Nighthawk, his eyes wide with surprise.
Nighthawk: What? I can be funny sometimes. Come along, you've earned it.”
Nighthawk heads off down the hall and Jayson just stands there smiling. This victory within the defeats shines like a diamond. He won a match, earned some respect, Nighthawk cracked a joke, and he didn't even have to use his AK.....
...he had to say today was a good day.
