10 WOMAN OVER THE TOP ROPE BATTLE ROYALE
Diamond In The Rough Preview
Abigail Spencer vs Brooklyn Madrox vs Charity Crowne vs Keira Hunter vs Max Valentine vs Patricia Powers vs Yulia Makalova vs Sarah Richardson vs Rowan MacDonnough vs Violet Madeira
----------------------------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Sacrifice, letâs take it to Riley Gordon who is standing in the ring.
{The camera pans to Riley who is standing in the ring with a microphone in her hand.}Riley Gordon: Ladies and gentlemen, WELCOME to Sacrifice.
{She motions around the ring at the ten women involved in the Diamond in the Rough Tournament, only to be seen on the IWF Network.}Riley Gordon: The ten women standing in this ring with me have been found from far and away in this world to compete for a chance to be entered in the IRON MAIDEN next month at the Viewerâs Choice Special Event. I thought it best to give you a dose of whatâs to come here tonight with this ten women elimination battle royal!
{The crowd pops as the new potential Diamonds prepare for the competition.}Riley Gordon: Upon leaving this ring, the bell will sound, and I wish you all luck.
{She steps out of the ring and the bell does indeed sound. The ten women all look around at one another, neither completely sure of the other with only one promo during the week to go off of as far as motives go. Eventually they all pair off, someone going for someone else. Keira Hunter goes after the âBlonde Bombshellâ Sarah Richardson, the two battling off into the corner as âPositivelyâ Patricia Powers hits Yulia Malakova in the face and starts pushing her back into another corner. Abigail Spencer and Charity Crowne start tussling and Violet and Rowan go at it, leaving little Brooklyn Madrox with the monster Maxine Valentine!}Terri Morasco: This thing just started, and things donât look too good for Brooklyn Madrox at all.
Vasco Dias: They sure donât. Maxine is an animal out for blood.
{Maxine charges and Brooklyn runs, sliding out of the ring as Maxine just stares on.}Vasco Dias: Well...thatâs one way to avoid that freight train.
Terri Morasco: Yes and because Brooklyn went under the top rope, sheâs not eliminated.
{As Brooklyn catches her breath, both Patricia Powers and Sarah Richardson had gotten the better of Keira and Yulia respectively, then turned their attention to Maxine, Sarah being the first to make contact, Patricia leaping on her back. Maxine fights them off, but the two show tenacity, and grab hold of her legs, trying their best to lift her over, but theyâre just not strong enough and she slams her arm over the back of each of them. As they stumble away, she grabs hold of Richardson by the hair and sends her sailing over the top rope, hitting back first across the apron and falling to the floor.}Sarah Richardson has been ELIMINATED! (Via Maxine Valentine){Patricia looks back at Maxine who turns her head slowly, grabbing Patricia by the hair as well. Patricia tries to beg her off, but itâs to no avail as she too is sent flying over the top rope and to the floor.}Patricia Powers has been ELIMINATED! (Via Maxine Valentine)Terri Morasco: Maxine Valentine showing off her in ring domination thus far!
Vasco Dias: If the ring keeps thinning out, thereâs not going to be enough people to take her out.
{Maxine turns around and Yulia charges in, hitting her in the face with a Bicycle Kick! Abigail charges in as all the new girls seem to see who the biggest threat is and hits Maxine with a Dropkick that staggers her back into the ropes. Keira then comes running in, planting a well placed Running Knee into the chin of Maxine! Charity hits her with a âBackhand Serveâ (Spinning Backfist) and Maxine teaters back and forth on the top rope.}Terri Morasco: Sounds like they heard you Vasco.
Vasco Dias: Theyâre each taking shots, but none are getting the job done!
{Rowan runs forward and plants a boot in Maxineâs face that sends her rolling along the top rope into the corner with a Yakuza Kick!}Vasco Dias: Things just got harder with her in the corner.
{Brooklyn slides back into the ring, seeing Maxine dazed in the corner, she twists and turns her way into a Handspring Elbow! Violet Madeira runs in with a Yakuza Kick, but Maxine catches the foot at the last second, walking to the middle of the ring but then Violet leaps up and hits her with an Enziguri that DROPS HER TO A KNEE! Violet takes a step back and hits Maxine flush with a Superkick that takes her down the rest of the way!}Vasco Dias: They got her down!
Terri Morasco: Yeah, but now they have to get her up and over the top rope!
{Violet goes to grab hold of Maxine, and attempts to puller her up, but is having no luck by herself. Abigail Spencer comes up from behind, spins Violet around, and plants her into the canvas with the âRebel Yellâ (Sister Abigail)! She then grabs Violet by her hair and sends her over the top rope, crashing on the floor.}Violet Madeira has been ELIMINATED! (Via Abigail Spencer){Abigail celebrates her elimination, but before she can do too much, Yulia jumps in with a Dropkick that takes her to the mat. Before Yulia can capitalize, Rowan grabs her and throws her to the far side of the ring and upon return, goes for a Back Body Drop, but Yulia plants a kick into the face and chest area of Rowan, standing her up straight before running back into the ropes and wrapping her legs around Rowan, taking her down with a Headscissors Takedown. Brooklyn then comes in from behind, grabbing Yulia and planting her with a Reverse Go To Sleep she calls the âBAMfâ!}Terri Morasco: LOOK OUT!
{Maxine is back, grabbing Brooklyn who escaped earlier, turning her around and dropping her with a Tombstone Piledriver she calls the âT-Virusâ! With a sick smile on her face, she grabs Brooklyn by the hair and drags her toward the ropes, picking her up overhead, and hurling her into Madeira on the outside!}Vasco Dias: What power!
Brooklyn Madrox has been eliminated. (via Maxine Valentine){Yulia dives on the dominant Maxine, hitting her with lefts and rights before sheâs pulled off by Keira who sends her tumbling backward by the hair. With Yulia on her knee, Keira steps up on the lap of Maxine, causing her to hold her stomach and runs toward Yulia, hitting her right in the face with a Shining Wizard!}Terri Morasco: Keira with some innovation!
Vasco Dias: Glad you know her name...I was just gonna call her the Goth Girl.
Terri Morasco: Well gee, thatâs not inappropriate.
{Keira gets to her feet as Yulia is on all fours, crawling towards the ropes to try and pull herself back up. Keira grabs her and lifts her onto her shoulders, flipping her off and planting her knee in the back of Yuliaâs head with the âSpirit Breakerâ (Ushigoroshi)!}Terri Morasco: She just drove her knee through Yuliaâs skull!
Vasco Dias: So dramatic!
Terri Morasco: These two will face off in round one of the tournament, but it looks like Keira is sending a message here tonight.
{Keira pulls Yulia to her feet and it seems inevitable, but she tosses her over the top rope, giving an extra push on the legs, sending her to the floor.}Yulia Malakova has been ELIMINATED! (via Keira Hunter){Before Keira can celebrate though, sheâs literally run over by Maxine off the ropes!}Vasco Dias: Can I get the license plate of that truck?
Terri Morasco: She literally just flattened Keira.
{Before Maxine can capitalize though, she looks up and sees Charity Crowne on the top rope, leaping off with the âBest Moonsault Everâ...but SHEâS CAUGHT by Maxine!}Vasco Dias: Are you kidding me!?
{Before Maxine can execute anything though, Rowan charges from behind and takes out her knee with a Chop Block, essentially allowing Charityâs Moonsault to be completed. Maxine is already on all fours, but then Abigail charges in with a CURB STOMP!}Terri Morasco: She calls that the Leviticus!
Vasco Dias: Iâll never be able to say that, but she just planted the woman-beastâs face into the mat!
{Keira is now on the top rope as the otherâs move out of the way. She lunges off with a FROG SPLASH to the back of Maxine!}Terri Morasco: Look at this!
{The four girls left in the ring use their combined strength to get Maxine into the ropes, each taking shots before grabbing a body part. They all push, some taking more shots and eventually they get her over the top rope, and her weight carries her from there to the floor with a hard thud!}Terri Morasco: They just took out the odds on favorite it seems!
Vasco Dias: I didnât think anyone would be able to get her over, but the collaborative effort succeeds!
Maxine Valentine has been ELIMINATED! (via Keira Hunter, Charity Crowne, Abigail Spencer, and Rowan MacDonnough)Terri Morasco: Weâre down to our final four here. These women have given us a superb taste of whatâs to come in the Diamond In The Rough Tournament.
Vasco Dias: If this is what we have to look forward to, then weâre in for something awesome.
{The four remaining women are all in the corners of the ring, eyeballing one another. Abigail goes toward Rowan, and Keira toward Charity, and all vice versa. They all come to blows, and as we focus on Rowan and Abigail, we see Rowan get the upper hand with a knee to the gut that drops Abigail to her knees before planting her with a Superkick to the face!}Vasco Dias: Ouch!
Terri Morasco: Balorâs Gaze!
{Rowan grabs hold of Abigail and goes to throw her over the top rope! Abigail though hangs on and fights back at Rowan before grabbing her head and in a vice like fashion, pulling her over the top rope as well! The two women trade blows, but what they donât see are Charity and Keira running in. Charity with a Handspring Elbow to Abigail that takes her off the apron, and Keira with the Running Knee to the face of Rowan! Both fall to the floor!}Abigail Spencer has been ELIMINATED! (via Charity Crowne)
Rowan MacDonnough has been ELIMINATED (via Keira Hunter)Terri Morasco: Weâre down to the final two!
Vasco Dias: And look here!
{Keira was still hung up in the ropes and Charity was to her feet, ready to send her over. Keira lands on the apron where she then pulls herself forward, blasting Charity in the face. Charity hits her back, causing her to lose grip with her one hand. She looks at the floor and pulls herself forward, blasting Charity again, this time causing the young woman to stumble toward the center of the ring. Keira climbs one of the near turnbuckles and lunges off...DIAMOND CUTTER!}Terri Morasco: She snatched her right out of the air!
Vasco Dias: What timing by Charity Crowne!
{Charity grabs hold of Keiraâs jet black hair, and a hold of her red tights, and hurls her up and over the top rope, and to the floor as the bell rings and âPopularâ by The Veronicas plays throughout the arena.}Alison Valance: Here is your winner...CHARITY...CROWNE!
{Charity celebrates her victory as we cut to a commercial break.}----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Lizzy Dalmon vs Domi Natrix
----------------------------------------------------------
{Inside of the ring Domi Natrix is already waiting for her match with Lizzy Dalmon to begin.}Terri Morasco: Coming up we have Lizzy Dalmon versus Domi Natrix. Lizzy is going to look to wash the taste of defeat out of her mouth after losing to Ashley Mastrangelo.
Vasco Dias: I heard that Lizzy has been stewing over it. I wouldnât want to be the one who pissed her off.
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Already in the ring...Domi Natrix!!
{âWe Can't Stopâ by Trust the Medic begins to play and Lizzy Dalmon makes his way to the ring, her brother Landon following close behind. The fans boo her as she makes her way to the ring. Halfway there she stops and poses so that people can take a picture of her.}Alison Valance: Her opponent from Beverly Hills, California...Lizzy Dalmon!!!
{When she gets to the ring she climbs the steps and enters. Once in the ring she continues to pose for more pictures.}DING DING DING
{With the match underway Domi looks to get an upperhand quick with some forearm shots to the face of Lizzy. This is a mistake as Dalmon blocks the shots and kicks Domi in the midsection.}Lizzy Dalmon: You donât touch my face bitch!
{With Domi Natrix doubled over Lizzy continues her assault by stomping away at her. With her opponent on the mat Dalmon plays to the crowd a bit.}Terri Morasco: If she wants to win the match Lizzy might want to focus more on her opponent and not the crowd.
Vasco Dias: Câmon Terri! She is facing Domi NatrixâŚ
Terri Morasco: Who is signed to a contract just like Lizzy.
{Lizzy finally turns her attention back to Domi Natrix but eats a shot to the chin for her effort. Domi hits the ropes but Landon grabs her foot slowing her down. Nomi turns around to confront him but this allows Lizzy to hit her version of the codebreaker.}Vasco Dias: Plastic Surgery by Lizzy!
Terri Morasco: Easy when you have a distraction on the outside.
Vasco Dias: Landon Dalmon is a specimen Terri. No shame in her attraction to him.
Terri Morasco: That isnât what I meantâŚ
{With Domi Natrix out Lizzy climbs to the top rope and hits a 630 splash. Hitting it as only a Dalmon can she goes for the pin.}1âŚ
2âŚ
3!!!
{The referee calls for the bell.}Alison Valance: The winner of the match by pinfall...Lizzy Dalmon!!!
Terri Morasco: Lizzy wins with the Trust Fund Plunge and an assist from her brother.
Vasco Dias: A win's a win Terri.
{With the match over Lizzy grabs a microphone to address the crowd.}Lizzy Dalmon: I hope everyone took note of what just happened! Ashley Mastrangelo especially should have been paying close attention. Last week, she got lucky! I still stand by my words...she is nothing but a HAS BEEN!
{The fans boo Lizzy and her comments that Ashley Mastrangelo canât get it in the ring anymore. Especially since she proved she hasnât lost a step last week.}Lizzy Dalmon: I donât care that she beat me! In the scheme of things it doesnât matter. Iâm a Dalmon and greatness and myself wonât be kept apart for much longer.
{The fans continue to boo. Landon Dalmon speaks into the microphone.}Landon Dalmon: You people need to show my sister the respect she deserves!
{This doesnât stop the fans from letting her know what they think.}Lizzy Dalmon: Thank you brother, but I can take care of this. Next week is High Stakes and itâs the match that really matters. Itâs when Iâll show the world how much better I am that Ashley Mastrangelo. Iâll but the whole Diamonds division on notice.
Terri Morasco: Lizzy sure talks a big game for someone who has done absolutely nothing of note as of yet. Ashley Mastrangelo is a former Ruby champion. She isnât just another Diamond.
Vasco Dias: Terri, this is Lizzy Dalmon! Her being here is a blessing to the IWF as a whole. I canât be the only one who sees that.
Lizzy Dalmon: Iâm going to beat you Ashley. You can dwell on your past as a former Ruby champion because Iâm going to with the Ironmaiden. The best part is that despite your best efforts, there is nothing you can do about it!

MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH
Fiona McFly & Bob Pooler vs Pandora Freeman & Devlin Raine
----------------------------------------------------------
{This match picks up toward the end where Bob and Fiona start to argue with one another on the apron after Fiona tags herself in while the two argue, Pandora comes up behind Fiona and rolls her up as Bob simply throws his hands in the air...1! 2! 3!!!
Pandora and Devlin celebrate as Bob is left shaking his head.}----------------------------------------------------------
SEGMENT
âA Part of the Cure Pt 1â
----------------------------------------------------------
{The scene opens to a room somewhere in the arena. In the middle of the room there is a man in a IWF staff shirt sitting in a chair. He is tied up and gagged and is struggling to break free as we see two women walk into the room. The women are dressed in nursesâ outfits and wearing smiley face masks.}Nurse 1: Donât worryâŚyour treatment is almost done.
Nurse 2: And when you are doneâŚyou will be free and better then when you came here.
Nurse 1: And you will thank us for everything
{The first nurse runs her finger across the manâs face before pressing the buzzer on the wall. The second nurse opens the door to the room and in walks a man in a white trench coat and mask. The man pulls down his mask to revel himself to be Kyle Mason.}Kyle Mason: Do you enjoy the part you have played in this little spread of infection? Do you enjoy that you have enabled the âwellnessâ that the fans are suffering from? I thinkâŚI think you need to learn why what you are doing is wrong. Why you must become a part of the cure.
{Mason waves his hands and the nurses start to tape the manâs eyes open. Mason smiles as he spins the man around and turns on a large TV screen.}Kyle Mason: And donât be madâŚit isnât your fault. You donât know better.
Nurse 1 & 2: But you willâŚoh you willâŚ
{As the scene begins to fade you can hear the Nurses giggle as the screen comes on and is wrapped in the screams of the IWFâs staff member.}----------------------------------------------------------
IWF INVICTUS CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP
SINGLES MATCH
Winner gets an Invictus Title opportunity at High Stakes.
Nighthawk vs Dorian Hawkhurst
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: âThis next contest is scheduled for 1 fall with a 60-minute time limit and is to determine the #1 contender for the Invictus Championship.â
{The arena is filled with a quiet ticking noise. As it gets faster, it turns into an electronic whirling noise. Finally the guitar kicks in and Dorian Hawkhurst walks out from the back. He looks around at the audience while the weight of the lyrics hits him.}Alison Valance: Making his way to the ring, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... âThe Demon of Sobrietyâ... DORIAN HAWKHURST!!!
{Hawkhurst begins walking down to the ring, slapping a few hands along the way despite not taking his eyes off of the ring. He gets to the apron and slides in, making his way to the corner, awaiting the start of the match.}{As the ring announcer moves to a neutral corner the lights in the sold-out arena dim for just a moment as the opening strains of "I Remember (Spartan X Intro)" by Tristam boom out over the sound speakers, as Nighthawk walks to the ring confidently shaking hands with the crowd as he does so. Climbing up on the outside of the 2nd and 3rd turnbuckles the "Wrestling Machine" exhorts the crowd to make more and more noise before climbing into the ring and submitting himself to be checked out by the referee.}Alison Valance: âHis opponent, from Chicago, Illinois and weighing in at 185 poundsâŚ.. âThe Master of 1000 Holdsâ⌠âThe Wrestling Machineâ Nighthawk!â
Terri Morasco: âAnd in one of the more interesting matches on tonightâs show two diametrically opposed wrestling styles meet when the power man, Dorian Hawkhurst, takes on perhaps the best pure technician not only on the IWF roster, but in the world today, in the âWrestling Machineâ Nighthawk. Vasco, what is each man going to have to do to win this very important match?â
Vasco Dias: âThe answer to that is pretty simple, Terri. Nighthawk has to make this as much of a sprint as much as he is capable of doing. He has to rely on his legendary cardiovascular conditioning and his speed to exhaust his bigger opponent. Conversely, Dorian Hawkhurst needs to make this a brawl. He has to rely on his power and avoid going to the mat. That way lies monsters.â
{Almost as soon as the referee rings the bell Dorian Hawkhurst rushes in after Nighthawk who ducks out of the way and lands a hard counter elbow smash, before landing a flurry of forearm shivers and knife-edge chops. Deciding to try and get things over the Chicagoan rushes off the near ropes looking for a running European uppercut only to get hit out of nowhere with a running cross-body that lands with the force of a cross town bus before quickly going for a cover and getting a quick 1-count. Staring at the referee in shock Dorian takes a moment to think of what he wants to do next before going back to the offense as he picks Nighthawk up by his hair and lays into him with a massive forearm shiver that sends the Chicagoan careening into the nearest set of turnbuckles where Dorian follows him in with an avalanche splash. Leaving him slumped against the ropes, his long hair now covering his face, the Philadelphian looks to cue up another avalanche only for Nighthawk to dip out of the way at the last possible second and land a sharp counter enzuigiri which wobbles Dorian noticeably as he takes a moment to catch his breath before coming in with the running European uppercut he was looking for before that sends the âDemon of Sobrietyâ to the floor where the âWrestling Machineâ is waiting for him with a gorgeous Sasuke Special #2 as he looks to cue up his rarely-seen arsenal of aerial offense. Rolling Dorian back into the ring Nighthawk goes for a springboard frankensteiner only to be caught out of mid-air by Dorian and deadlifted into position for a repeating powerbomb, the last of which is turned into a buckle bomb. Slumping against the corner, his pride and fighting spirit seeming to be the only thing keeping him from falling to the mat unconscious, Nighthawk finally falls to the mat as the sold-out crowd chants âLetâs Go Nighthawkâ which draws an angry response from the massive Dorian Hawkhurst who begins to yell at the sold-out crowd for not cheering on his efforts vociferously enough. Covering again, and this time getting a very long 2-count, Dorian again pulls the âMan of 1000 Holdsâ up to his feet and nukes him with a shotgun lariat before instructing the referee to count for the knockout.} Terri Morasco: âEarly on, weâre seeing an interesting strategy from Dorian Hawkhurst. It is one that we do not often see many of the heavyweights on the IWF roster chooses to employ. He is simply trying to batter Nighthawk to the point where he is rendered unable to defend himself by the referee. Considering Nighthawkâs noted endurance and conditioning, is this a good strategy?â
Vasco Dias: âThe problem with that strategy is this. The referees in IWF are not known as referees who will stop a bout ever. It may be that, at least until we get different protocols in place, it may take a herculean beating to get that done. Dorian Hawkhurst has put a lot of eggs in that basket, and I donât know if it can work for him.â
{As the referee shrugs his shoulders and begins the 10-count which, if completed, would signal a knockout Nighthawk slowly pulls himself up to his feet which draws a screaming reaction from Dorian Hawkhurst who charges at him looking for a running clothesline, only to be caught with an inverted cross-body right into a lightning-fast Kimura as he moves to work on the left arm. Quickly scrambling for the ropes Dorian again rolls to the floor, as this time Nighthawk takes a moment to get his legs underneath him before figuring out what he wants to do next. Getting a full head of steam the Chicagoan quickly hits a twisting corkscrew plancha as he stands on the ringside barrier and implores the sold-out and standing-room only crowd to make as much noise as they can before landing a hard quartet of forearm strikes to the jaw as the refereeâs count reaches 6. Rolling himself back in the ring to break the count Nighthawk again goes for a Sasuke Special only to be forced to land on the ring apron when Dorian moves out of the way. Looking to take advantage of his offensive opening Nighthawk rushes in again looking for a running Superior Football kick from the apron only for his foot to be caught and then drops him face-first into the ring apron which immediately turns his legs to jelly which allows Dorian to pull him back to the floor and immediately drill him with a powerbomb that causes him to land tailbone-first on the ring apron before slumping to the mat as if he had been thrown from a moving automobile as Dorian shakes out his left arm before rolling back in the ring to break the count. Rolling back to the floor Dorian picks Nighthawk up and again delivers a forearm shiver only for Nighthawk to fire back with one of his own that doesnât have nearly enough force behind it to do any real damage but which the Philadelphian responds to regardless first with a head butt and then with a release powerbomb that sends the back of the head of the âWrestling Machineâ bouncing off the turnbuckle post before slumping to the ring. Glaring at the sold-out crowd the âDemon of Sobrietyâ rolls Nighthawk back into the ring and gets into a vociferous dispute with a member of ringside, before finally rolling back into the ring himself. Looking to pick Nighthawk up again Dorian is instead hit with a pair of short forearm shivers to the midsection followed by a jumping one to the jaw. But as he looks to build up a head of steam Dorian pulls the âMan of 1000 Holdsâ back down to the mat quickly before covering and again getting a 2-count.} Terri Morasco: âWeâve talked all the time about Nighthawkâs resiliency and ability to take a beating, but this is on another level. Can he withstand a storm of this type from an on-form heavyweight who outweighs him by over 150 pounds?â
Vasco Dias: âIn going on message boards when this match was announced, the common refrain was that if Nighthawk was going to win, it would be that he was able to drag Dorian into deep water and take away his power advantage. However, to do that, to play the long game, means that Nighthawk has to be able to take a frightful beating. And minus a couple of bursts of offense, that is exactly what we have seen.â
{Looking at the referee in something approaching absolute shock Dorian wags his finger at the crowd for chanting âLetâs Go Nighthawkâ as Nighthawk crawls on his hands and knees towards the ropes where he picks himself up leaning against the turnbuckles. Seeing the opening to end the match, Dorian goes for another avalanche only for Nighthawk to duck out of the way, and Dorian to hit his left shoulder on the top turnbuckle. Shaking out his arm almost immediately Nighthawk sees the opening and pounces on it with a quick superkick to the left arm. Immediately focusing his offensive attention there the Chicagoan attempts to go for a Jim Breaks Special on his larger opponent only to be countered out of it with a back heel trip as Dorian shakes out his left arm, the quick momentum of his opponent again cut off at the proverbial pass. Staring out at the crowd while his wheels noticeably turn Dorian quickly goes for a cover and gets the longest 2-count of the match, as Nighthawk is barely able to get his shoulder up off the mat. Running his thumb across his throat as if to signal the match is over Dorian smirks openly and begins to lay in insulting short kicks to the forehead of the âWrestling Machineâ, punctuating each blow with âCome on, kidâ until an infuriated Nighthawk gets to his feet and responds with a barrage of hard elbows to the face and runs off the ropes only to get taken down again with a flapjack as Dorian takes a moment to blink his eyes and catch his breath as that last flurry of offense appears to have finally had a legitimate effect on him. Going back in for another lateral press Dorian is again befuddled when Nighthawk somehow manages to roll his shoulder up at the count of two. Again looking to pick Nighthawk up by the hair Dorian is countered right into a gorgeous omoplata as the âMan of 1000 Holdsâ is somehow still with it enough to try and find openings for counters. Scrambling to the ropes Dorian rolls to the floor, shaking out his left arm and looking in noticeable pain for the first time all match.} Terri Morasco: âAnd even though Nighthawk has taken a serious beating in this match, he is still aware enough to figure out a way to continue to counter and shark the left arm. That focus on the arm might be the best thing that this utterly brilliant technician can do to keep himself alive in this match.â
Vasco Dias: âRight now, Dorian Hawkhurst is doing a masterful job of impersonating a young George Foreman. He is absolutely clobbering Nighthawk with heavy blows that would knock out a normal man for a 10-count, never mind a three count. However, you have to ask this question: Will Dorian punch himself out the longer this match goes? More to the point, will he get frustrated if his big bombs canât put Nighthawk away?â
{Leaning back-first up against the ring apron Dorian continues to shake out his left arm before finally standing on the ring apron where he takes a moment to catch his breath as he holds onto the top rope, only for Nighthawk to fly into view with a step-up enzuigiri to the left arm using the middle rope as a liftoff point followed by a slingshot plancha to the floor before Nighthawk rolls the Philadelphian back into the ring and gestures to the top turnbuckle. Looking to further create an advantage the Chicagoan heads to the top rope and looks for Touch the Sky only to be countered out of mid-air with a massive tackle as the âDemon of Sobrietyâ writhes in pain holding his left arm before executing a loose cover and only getting a 2-count. Pulling himself up to a standing position with his right hand, his left arm now hanging somewhat limply at his side, Dorian yells at the referee for what he believes to be a slow count. Crawling to the ropes to pull himself up to his feet Nighthawk turns around and walks into a massive European uppercut that sends the âWrestling Machineâ slumped into the ropes. Tying his smaller opponent up in the ropes Dorian gets a running start and obliterates him with another European uppercut that sends him falling face-first into the ring where Dorian covers and gets the longest 2-count of the match, Nighthawkâs shoulder coming off of the mat milliseconds before the count of 3. Glaring at the referee in absolute shock as though the mere perception that Nighthawk was able to kick out is impossible Dorian goes into an absolute almost frothing rage as he continues to shake out his left arm before running his thumb across his throat and signaling for Falling Off The Wagon, only for Nighthawk to counter out into a triangle armbar as he appears to still be trying to weaken the left arm. Realizing the trouble that heâs in Dorian gets a running start and drives the âMan of 1000 Holdsâ into the nearest turnbuckle, forcing him to let go of the hold as Dorian slumps against the bottom rope with his left arm now hanging limply at his side.} Terri Morasco: âAnd Iâm noticing something, Vasco, and I wonder if you are too. This match has gone perhaps past the point where we might have expected it to go, considering the offense Dorian has employed. Nighthawk is still there, and Dorian is starting to show wear and tear specifically on that left arm. Is his strategy of extending the match paying off?â
Vasco Dias: âNighthawk, as I did when I was an active competitor, thinks of himself as a technician. At its most basic form, that offensive strategy can be explained thusly: For every attack, an opening is left. A skilled technician can see that opening and immediately have that counter at the ready. Terri, the longer the match goes and the sloppier Dorian gets with his offense as a direct result of that, Nighthawk will have more openings to counter.â
{Pulling Nighthawk up to his feet as best he can, his left arm looking far the worse for wear than it did at the start of the match, Dorian goes for a stuff powerbomb only to get caught with a counter prawn hold that gets a quick 1-count followed quickly by an inverted frankensteiner and then a standing spike frankensteiner as Nighthawk appears to have emptied the tank to give himself some time to breath as the sold-out and standing room-only crowd at Mizzou Arena tries to rally Nighthawk to his feet by chanting âLetâs go Nighthawkâ louder and louder. Slowly pulling himself to his feet, blinking his eyes as the beating he has taken before still appears to be having some effect on him, the Chicagoan nonetheless measures his man and waits for him to get to his feet before heading to the ring apron where he lands a gorgeous springboard clothesline that sends Dorian to the floor. Letting out a loud scream Nighthawk gets a running start and executes a gorgeous elbow suicida that sends Dorian over the guardrail and into the first row of ringside seats before following that up with a gorgeous spaceman tope con hilo over the ropes and into the crowd as he appears to have decided that a full-scale saturation bombing from the air might be the best chance he has to win this match. Dragging Dorian over the guardrail and then back into the ring Nighthawk heads up to the top turnbuckle only for the Philadelphian to catch him there with a hard forearm strike and look to take him down with a superplex, which Nighthawk sees coming and counters with a flurry of forearms of his own and then a hard open-handed slap to the face which drops the âDemon of Sobrietyâ back down to the mat where he hangs on to the top rope to steady himself. Seeing the opening to strike the âWrestling Machineâ quickly leaps off the top turnbuckle with a double stomp right to the left arm, followed by a lung blower to the arm which sends Dorian to the outside where he is met with a running football-style kick to the left arm. rolling him back in the ring, seeming to think he has things well in hand, the âMan of 1000 Holdsâ goes for a springboard hurricanrana only to be forced to land on his feet as Dorian steps out of the way at the last moment before walking right into a gorgeous high knee to the face followed by a massive lariat. Lying on the mat for a moment, wincing in pain from the damage to his left arm, Dorian nonetheless moves in to cover and thinks he has the match won before the referee informs him that Nighthawkâs foot was on the bottom strand of rope.}Terri Morasco: âAnd the longer the match is going, the flurries of offense from Nighthawk are getting longer. Dorian is starting to slow down.â
Vasco Dias: âWe say it all the time and we notice it when he wrestles against men he can take to the mat, but its true here especially. Nighthawkâs conditioning and resilience are his greatest weapons. He doesnât necessarily hit like Spike Kane, nor have the aerial aptitude of Chris Fenell, but he has enough of both to still be a threat in any way the longer the match goes.â
{Looking at the referee in almost catatonic shock that somehow the match is still ongoing Dorian retreats to a neutral corner and waits for Nighthawk to get to his feet. Charging in with an attempt at another avalanche splash Dorian lands face-first against the top turnbuckle as Nighthawk moves out of the way before catching him with a barrage of forearms and then a superkick to the jaw which finally drops the Philadelphian long enough for Nighthawk to ascend to the top rope with a gorgeous floating moonsault that gets an impossibly long 2-count.} If Dorian wins:
{Heading back to the top rope Nighthawk goes for the Gravity Killer only to land face-first on the mat as Dorian rolls out of the way. Staggering to his feet eventually, clearly out on his feet, Nighthawk walks right into a Getting Hammered and then a high-angle backdrop driver with a bridge for the 3-count.} Alison Valance: âThe winner of the matchâŚ. âThe Demon Of Sobrietyâ Dorian Hawkhurst!â

SEGMENT
âOne More Timeâ
----------------------------------------------------------
{Mike Laszlo and Alexis Caffrey are seen walking through the hallway, smiles on their faces after their victory last week. It is then that theyâre approached by the Union of Jobbers, scaring Alexis.}Alexis Caffrey: OH GOD LOSER BRIGADE!
{The âEnhancement Talentâ only glare as Solomon is holding Thunder Sid up after the beating he took last week prompting Mike to make a comment.}Mike Laszlo: You okay Sid? I just want to thank you for helping me express my anger last week. I think weâre really getting somewhere.
{Mike slaps Thunder Sid on the shoulder sending a jolt of pain through his body.}Gable Arcade: Thatâs enough! Iâm sick of you thinking that weâre your punching bags!
{Alexis slaps Gable right across the face.}Alexis Caffrey: Who the hell do you think you are raising your voice at us?
{Before he can answer, Mandi Matthews and Steve Awesome walk into the picture. Alexis rolls her eyes.}Alexis Caffrey: And the loser brigade keeps growing in numbers.
{Steve chuckles.}Steve Awesome: Cute.
{He turns to Thunder Sid and slaps him in the back, again the beaten up talent quivers in pain.}Steve Awesome: Howâs it going Sid?
{He turns to Gable.}Steve Awesome: Did you forget to turn while sunbathing dude? That looks like it hurts.
Gable Arcade: THATâS IT! GET THEM!
{The jobbers start attacking Mike and Steve who start to fight them off as Alexis and Mandi get in on the action. After some smashing and crashing and things flying around, the Union is left laying. Riley Gordon walks up after hearing the commotion and looks at the couples, simply shaking her head.}Riley Gordon: I want the two of you in that ring by the time the upcoming commercial is over.
{We go to a commercial before returning to Sacrifice where we now see the couples and Riley Gordon in the ring.}Riley Gordon: You two have been at it for weeks. I think itâs time we have ONE MORE MATCH between the two of you next week at High Stakes.
{The two men nod as Mike requests the microphone.}Mike Laszlo: Iâve beaten this fool and WEâVE beaten THEM! I donât mind putting my knee in Steveâs face again...but I mean, shouldnât something be up for grabs? Steve doesnât have much pride left.
{The crowd gives an âOOOOOOOOHHHH!â Steve then grabs a microphone from ringside.}Steve Awesome: I have plenty of pride left. AND, after all the crap Iâve been through, I have faith in myself...so Iâll tell you what...with Ms. Gordonâs approval, you an me at High Stakes...the winner gets to pick whatever number he wants to come into the Roulette...the loser...IS NUMBER ONE!
{The crowd start a âYes!â Chant as Steve nods along with them. Mike thinks it over and pulls the microphone up.}Mike Laszlo: If sheâs ok with it...so am I. Good luck...from number one.
{The two men drop the mics and stand face to face as Riley announces the match.}Riley Gordon: There you have it ladies and gentlemen! At High Stakes, it will be Mike Laszlo vs Steve Awesome with the loser entering the Roulette at Number One, while the winner gets the number of his choosing...BUT...letâs do this right...your match...is anything...goes. No rules...just a submission or pinfall.
{The two men smirk at one another and start talking trash as we go to break.}----------------------------------------------------------
SINGLES MATCH
Cable Arcane vs Andrew Jacobsen
----------------------------------------------------------
{ The lights in the arena dim and strobe red as "Long live the Chiefâ by Jidenna begins to play. }****as fighting over rings
****as wanna be the King, but
Long Live the Chief
For a li' ol' thang lil' boys bang bang
Long Live the Chief
****as fighting over rings
****as wanna be the king, but
Long Live the Chief
Now watch pretty mama while I slang my cane
Long Live the Chief
Uh
{ As the song kicks into gear Cable Arcane marches out onto the ramp with his head bowed and fists clenched, he stands at the center of the stage with a spot light shining down on him in the darkness. Finally Cable rolls his head to crack his neck and starts to make his way down the ramp with a determined look on his face, completely ignoring the crowd. As he reaches the steps he climbs up, taking his time before climbing into the ring one leg at a time. He marches to the center of the ring and throws both fists up into the air to a mix reaction from the crowd. }Terri Morasco: This is the first time weâve seen Cable Arcane in an official capacity since Noah Field stole the Imperial Championship and Iâve got to say he looks more determined than ever.
Vasco Dias: He can look as determined as he wants itâs still not going to get him the Imperial Championship back not to mention we still donât know what he got arrested for or how he got released. IWF could be employing a serial killer!
Terri Morasco: Thatâs highly unlikely.
Vasco Dias: Whatâs high unlikely is Cable Arcane being able to rip the Imperial title out of the hands of the House of Howlett.
Terri Morasco: Can you even call it that anymore, itâs just Noah and Laura?
Vasco Dias: Who else do they need? Clearly not this loser in the ring.
{The opening riff of "Unbreakable" plays, sending the crowd into a frenzy, and as the drums kick in Andrew Jacobsen comes striding out onto the ramp, Danielle Chase a step behind him. He takes a few steps forward, looking to either side with a wide grin on his face. Andrew looks dead ahead at the ring, cracking his neck, and throws his arms out and head back as a burst of red and green pyro goes off to either side of him. Andrew and Danielle walk down the ramp, Andrew high-fiving fans as he goes, and he pulls himself up onto the apron, looking around at the fans with an infectious grin on his face. He climbs through the second rope and walks to a corner, checking his gloves and talking with Danielle as he waits for the match to start.}Terri Morasco: There are a lot of people in the wrestling world who have been dying to see this match.
Vasco Dias: From a technical stand point this match is going to be poetry in motion but Iâve got say this match would have been a lot more impressive if Cable were still champion.
Terri Morasco: Some matches donât need gold to be high stakes. These men are two wrestling savants in the primes of their careers ready to tear the house down just to see who is better.
Vasco Dias: Thatâs why itâs unfortunate we already know who is better, our guest commentator, the IWF Imperial Champion, Noah Field!
{ The lights go black and then the arena is suddenly bathed in gold tinted light. A voice over hits the public address system. âThe Crown Prince, The Saviourâ. Then as the opening riffs of âA Cut Aboveâ queues up the words âAdidas Presents: IWF IMPERIAL CHAMPION, Noah Fieldâ flash across the screen. A loud explosion goes off as "A Cut Above" queues up. Noah Field steps into the arena with a smirk on his face, the Imperial Championship around his waist and Laura Howlett at his side, trailed by Noah's hired muscle, Mark Mercer. Together the three of them march to the ring while Noah takes in the boos of the crowd. As they come to ringside Noah pauses, flips his hair back, making sure it's perfection then shows off his brand new âTHE REAL BEST IN THE WORLDâ t-shirt. Cable glares at him as the three make their way around the ring, Laura and Noah taking seats at the commentators table as Noah puts the belt on display on the tabl. }Vasco Dias: Noah it is an honor to have you here tonight and Iâd just like to say congratulations on finally becoming the Imperial Champion.
Terri Morasco: Is this seriously how-
Laura Howlett: Excuse me, Terri, I have here a direct order from Management to please shut yourmic off while my client is on commentary. He doesnât need or want his thoughts or opinions sullied by your biased commentary.
Terri Morasco: Seriously?
Laura Howlett: Shut her damn mic off, now or me and my client will be taking ourselves else where.
{ There is a noticeable click as Terri is seen throwing herself back in her chair in protest. Cable looks on from his corner never taking his eyes off Noah Field but Andrew is trying to get his attention. }Noah Field: First I would like to thank you Vasco for always being so supportive of me on my journey toward destiny and Iâd also like to say it is an honor to sit next to the best commentator in the business, aside from when Iâm here.
Vasco Dias: The honor is all mine.
Laura Howlett: Of course it is. Now if youâre done verbally ejaculating on my client letâs prepare ourselves for this technical train wreck of a match. A match my client would win in under five minutes.
Noah Field: Five? More like two.
{ Andrew Jacobsen bridges the gap between him and Cable in the ring and reaches out for Cableâs hand before the match officially begins. The crowd starts a âYES!â chant before Cable finally raises his hand and takes Andrewâs in his for a stern hand shake. Andrew backs off and prepares for the match to begin. }Noah Field: Are they serious? A hand shake? Whatâs next they hug and kiss over which one of them can better execute an arm bar?
Laura Howlett: It wouldnât surprise me, if I never have to hear about a ridiculous sparring session again itâll be too soon.
Vasco Dias: I can only imagine.
Laura Howlett: Stop pandering, idiot.
{ The referee calls for the bell and both men move out of their corners, Andrew is locking for a lock up and Cable approaches him like heâs going to go for it but then hits him with a quick shin kick to the side followed by a combination of right and left open hand punches before connecting with a spinning back fist that rocks Andrew Jacobsen. }Vasco Dias: Looks like Cable had Andrew well scouted.
Noah Field: It doesnât take a genius to know punching Andrew is more effective than chain wrestling him.
Laura Howlett: Iâm pretty sure that bit of information is right in his bio, Vasco.
Noah Field: I think Iâm going to take back what I said about you being one of the best commentators. Youâre like the Captain freaking Obvious of play by play people.
{ Andrew backs off with a grin but Cable presses forward. Cable looks for a jab/cross combo but Jacobsen ducks the second punch and gets under and behind Cable where he grabs him with a rear waist lock take down. Andrew quickly moves into position to lock Cable into a crossface but Arcane just manages to get his finger tips on the ropes. Andrew releases the hold and gets to his feet, Cable is right behind him. Jacobsen grabs him with a side head lock but Cable throws him off into the ropes, Andrew bounces back and looks for a clothes line but Cable instead catches him with a leaping knee to the face! }Laura Howlett: Text book Arcane which is why my client was able to beat him so easily.
Noah Field: Youâre right, the guy never changes up his game plan, I could wrestle and beat him blind folded.
{ Jacobsen stumbles back from the blow but doesnât go down, instead he comes right at Cable again and connects with a running elbow shot that rocks the former Imperial Champion. Andrew quickly moves behind Cable and grabs him for the first German suplex, he quickly rotates and pulls Cable back up for a second German suplex, Andrew spins his feet and pulls Cable up again for the hat trick and hitting a release German suplex. Andrew goes for a cover but Cable gets his shoulder up at one. Andrew smiles and helps Cable up but Arcane fires off a European upper cut that staggers Andrew and then hits him with a big punt kick to the chest. Cable follows it up with a spinning heel kick to the mid section and then looks to pull Andrew in for a vertical suplex backbreaker but Andrew is able to fend it off and instead counters with his own snap suplex! }Vasco Dias: Cable went for his first real wrestling move there and Andrew fended it off.
Noah Field: If Andrew Jacobsen is blocking your movies then youâre not the best in the world.
Laura Howlett: That honor belongs to the man holding the Imperial Championship.
{ Cable tries to get up quickly but Andrew is right there and connects with a devastating Cold Snap backbreaker. Cable lays flat out on the mat and Andrew covers him for the ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }Laura Howlett: Jesus, was he always this bad?
Noah Field: Pretty much. Itâs embarrassing he ever held my title.
{ Andrew peels Cable off the mat and ties him up but Cable manages to push him off and then connects with a lunging clothes line which takes Andrew off his feet! Cable starts to pull himself up on the ropes looking a little worse for wear here but Andrew is right behind him. Cable sees him and connects with two big knees to the gut and another spinning back fist before tucking the head of Andrew and pulling him in for a double underhook back breaker! Cable doesnât got for the pin fall even though Andrew lays there prone for a second. }Laura Howlett: What is he doing, pin him you buffoon!?
Noah Field: Strategy has never been Cableâs strong suit.
Vasco Dias: Itâs a calculated risk not trying to end this match as quickly as he can. Andrew Jacobsen is known for his cardio vascular fitness.
{ Cable is back up to his feet and he reaches down to grab Andrew who pulls him in for a school boy but instead he transitions back to his feet and looks to put him into a sharpshooter! Cable struggles and fights to get to the ropes as Andrew looks to take his seat across the back of Cable. Arcane manages to get his hands on the ropes and Andrew lets go of the hold. Cable pulls himself up and Andrew is right on him with a tie up that he moves into a side head lock take. Andrew grabs Cable from the seated position and pulls him up for a huge backdrop driver! }Vasco Dias: That was pretty impressive!
Laura Howlett: If youâre watching professional wrestling for the first time.
Noah Field: See, this is what I donât get. The two of them are in there trading moves back forth where as I get in there and just win as quickly as I can. All of this is just dressing for not being champions.
Laura Howlett: Iâm going to have to agree. When you canât be the best then you have to pretend to be the best.
{ Cable manages to stagger back to his feet but Andrew is right there with the Gordie Howie special that sends Cable stumbling backward into the corner of the ring. Andrew hits a big time clothes line in the corner and then pulls Cable out for the Borealis Suplex! Andrew hooks the leg of Cable Arcane for the cover and gets a ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }Noah Field: This is getting ridiculous.
Vasco Dias: Itâs every bit the dream match people thought it was going to be,.
Noah Field: Iâm dreaming of when this match is over.
{ Andrew pushes himself back to his feet and heâs starting to look excited now as he waits for Cable to get back to his feet. Cable is slow to stand up and Andrew is right there but Cable grabs him for a deep arm drag out of nowhere! Andrew is right back up and runs into a deep arm drag take down. Andrew shakes it off and stands up but Cable is right there with a hammerlock twisted into a short range lariat! }Vasco Dias: Cable is mounting a come back!
{ Andrew tries to get up as quick as he can but Cable is right there with a tilt a whirl backbreaker and finally he makes a cover of his own. ONE! KICK OUT! }Laura Howlett: Jacobsen is too dumb for his own good. Give up while youâre ahead.
Noah Field: Or just give up.
{ Cable now has his own little smile as he gets back to his feet and waits for Jacobsen to stand up. Andrew is a little slow but he still looks ready to go. Cable moves in and the two of them tie up but Andrew moves behind Cable for a rear waist lock but Cable quickly reverses it himself to his own rear waist lock but Andrew transitions his weight and grabs Cable with a side head lock, Cable slips through it and connects with an elbow to the back of the head of Andrew Jacobsen. Andrew stumbles and Cable comes in from behind but Jacobsen catches him with a drop toe hold and then moves into sharpshooter position. }Vasco Dias: Jacobsen is showing some real determination here.
Laura Howlett: Heâs showing he can chain wrestle, he still canât beat the best, Noah Field.
Noah Field: He couldnât even carry my bags.
{ This time Andrew has it locked in in the center of the ring. He wrenches back hard on Arcane who lets out a loud scream but he still canât seem to fight his way out of it. The referee is checking on Cable who is refusing to quit as Andrew has him dead to rights. }Vasco Dias: Cable has nowhere to go!
Laura Howlett: Just like when he found himself on the receiving end of Field Envy.
{ Cable is pulling at his hair and finally starts to push himself up off the mat and clawing his way to the ropes. Andrew is trying to hold him and pull him back but Cable is able to claw his way to the ropes and Andrew is forced to release the hold. }Noah Field: Why did he let him go!? He has a full four count to hurt him even more!!
Laura Howlett: Because heâs âhonorableâ.
Noah Field: What a joke.
{ Andrew waits for Cable to stand back up as the crowd cheers. Cable uses the ropes to stand and canât quite seem to shake the pain off. Cable moves for Andrew who ties him up and then twists him into a gutwrench backbreaker! Andrew is right up now and heâs looking fired up as he yells at Cableto âCOME ON!â Cable pushes himself up and Andrew grabs him before he even fully stands and launches him with an over head belly to belly suplex!!! Cable is down and Andrew throws himself on him for the cover and ONE! TWO! THRE-KICK OUT! }Laura Howlett: All right, that ref is clearly as blind as this crowd, that was a three count.
Noah Field: It would have been if I were in that ring, all day.
Vasco Dias: Well the referee is saying he got the shoulder up.
Laura Howlett: Then heâs as bad at his job as you are!
{ Andrew Jacobsen canât quite believe it as heâs thrown pretty much everything at Cable Arcane and it hasnât been enough. He pushes himself back to his feet and wipes the sweat from his brow as Cabe rolls over and starts to push himself back up. }Laura Howlett: And this is why Andrew hasnât been a champion in IWF, he refuses to press his advantage.
{ Andrew comes in hot as Cable stands but Arcane catches him with a nasty jawbreaker that staggers Andrew and Cable is right back up and grabs him for a big Canadian backbreaker while dropping to a seated position! }Noah Field: And thatâs what happens when you donât wrestle smart, like me.
Laura Howlett: Absolutely, this match has clearly gone on longer than my client, Noah Field, would ever have allowed.
{ Cable is up and hits Andrew with a big knee lift as Jacobsen tries to stand as well and then pulls him in for a half nelson backbreaker over his knee! Cable pushes him off his knee and stands up. Andrew is slow to push himself back up but Cable drops a brutal knee across the neck and upper spine of Andrew Jacobsen! }Vasco Dias: Cable targeting the back of Jacobsen.
Laura Howlett: Too little too late and thatâs why he isnât a champion anymore.
{ Cable is back up to his feet and heâs glaring down at Andrew Jacobsen who is trying to find the strength to get back up and keep this match going. Andrew finally finds his feet but Cable is right there with a spinning heel kick, he goes to grab Andrew for the Made to Suffer but Jacobsen is able to spin out of it and push him off. Andrew comes back at him but Arcane hits another kick and pulls Andrew in for the MADE TO SUFFER!!! }Vasco Dias: MADE TO SUFFER!
{ Cable Arcane hooks the leg of Andrew Jacobsen and the referee makes the count⌠ONE! TWO! THREE!!! }Vasco Dias: Cable picks up a win-
Laura Howlett: A meaningless win in a meaningless match. He still isnât the pride of the House of Howlett or the Imperial Champion! Heâs no Noah Field!
Noah Field: Not even close.
{ The referee holds Cableâs hand up as Andrew Jacobsen is slowly getting to his feet but Cable pushes the referee away and walks over to Andrew, Jacobsen is ready for a fight but Cable instead reaches out. }Noah Field: Are you serious? This is disgusting!
{ Cable is asking for a hand shake from Andrew Jacobsen who seems hesitant but the fans are cheering them on. Andrew finally takes his hand and the two shake in the center of the ring. }Noah Field: OK! Iâve had enough!
{ Noah has a mic in his hands and now stands on the apron of the ring. }Noah Field: You two can continue this love fest backstage while Nighthawk films it but right here, right now, I want to formally dispute that travesty of a match that happened last week!
{ Cable stands firm as Andrew hangs back, keeping his eyes on Mark Mercer. }Noah Field: You were not my scheduled opponent! You did not earn a championship opportunity! Iâve had lawyers looking over the footage all week and just let me say that what theyâre saying doesnât bode well for you!
{ Cable is now handed a microphone. }Cable Arcane: You know what, Noah? Youâre right. I wasnât your âscheduledâ opponent but I did win that match. And Iâve already spoken to the ever illusive management that Laura Howlett is always referring to and guess what? Last week aside I am getting a match of my choosing against you at High Stakes for MY IMPERIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
{ Noah Field is livid as Laura Howlett now looks on stunned from the table. }Laura Howlett: He canât talk to management! Thatâs impossible! Only I can talk to management!
Vasco Dias: What?
Laura Howlett: Never mind! This is a travesty!
{ Noah clutches his Imperial Championship as Cable walks toward him, Noah drops off the apron. }Cable Arcane: And at High Stakes, the match Iâm choosing, there will be no way in hell that BITCH Laura Howlett or any of your other little friends will be able to save you from the ass whipping Iâve got planned. At High Stakes itâs going to be you and me for the Imperial Championship IN A STEEL CAGE!!!!
{ The crowd pops huge as Noah tries to look smug as he backs off and is joined by Laura and Mark Mercer at ring side. The three of them looking on as Cable just stares at them with bad intentions in his eyes. }----------------------------------------------------------
IWF SHIELDMAIDEN CHAMPIONSHIP
SINGLES MATCH
Kate Steele vs Eternity (c)
----------------------------------------------------------
{ Monster by Paramore begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does Kate Steele along with her husband Todd Warren begins to emerge from the back curtain. Kate has a huge smile on her face as she stares at the roaring crowd who are all cheering her on. She begins to sprint down the aisle as she claps the hands of outstretched fans. }Terri Morasco: Kate Steele got her revenge on Fiona McFly last week...and now she gets a date with Eternity for the Shieldmaiden!
{ Kate finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd cheering her on. She closes her eyes placing a single finger over her lips offering the Shhhh sound which all the fans follow in. She takes her place in the corner afterwards waiting for the match to begin. }Vasco Dias: Yeah, but that date's gonna turn U-G-L-Y in a heartbeat, much like the Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA Tournament!
{ The lights go out completely, before the opening guitar riff causes blue strobe lights to pulse in time with it. A few moments pass before the lyrics to "No Color" by Otep begin, the blue strobe lights provide just enough illumination for us to see the purple coloured smoke slowly gathering to cloud the entranceway. }Vasco Dias: And here comes Eternity...
{ Eternity emerges from within the cloud of colourful smoke. There is a mixed reaction from the adults, but the children seem to fear the shadowy woman who is wearing a black hat and a veil with her head bowed as she seems to lightly bounce halfway down the ramp. }Terri Morasco: Gotta give this gal credit, she's been one of the scariest and most dominant personalities to grace an IWF ring!
{ She stops in the middle of the ramp and takes a bow, taking her veiled black hat off and posing with it in her outstretched arms. She continues her journey down the ramp, skipping and carrying her hat in her right hand. She slides under the bottom rope into the ring and when she reaches the centre, she transitions into a skip, over to the turnbuckle where she hangs her hat on a ringpost, patting it. }Vasco Dias: That's 'cuz she can be a naaaaaaasty woman....
{ She then skips to the middle of the ring and falls to her knees, keeping her head bowed for a moment and her eyes closed. she tilts her head back and slowly opens her eyes to the heavens. This gesture now triggers the lights to slowly be raised back up to normal levels as her music starts also to fade away. }Terri Morasco: Ugh..sometimes you just don't understand how obnoxious you really are.
Vasco Dias: I'm innocent, I swear to God!
Terri Morasco: Will you just get SERIOUS!?!
[DING!]
{ At the sound of the bell, Kate Steele goes RIGHT after Eternity, firing off with punches to the schozz and knife-edge chops to the torso that stagger the SM towards the corner; "The Siren," a former SM herself, sends Eternity for the ride. She bounces off the ropes...and into a dropkick, followed by a second! Stunned by Kate's early ambush, Eternity falls victim to a quick side Russian leg sweep that sends her to the deck. With a rush of momentum on her side, Kate immediately proceeds to climb up to the top strand and leap, nailing the ex-Diamonds Champion with a high springboard crossbody pinning combination! }1...!
2...!!
NOPE!!!
{ Kate grits her teeth, focused as hell on regaining her Shieldmaiden! Grabbing Eternity by the hair--earning a warning from the dude in stripes in the process--before unceremoniously dumping her over the top rope and onto the floor! But she makes a slight miscalculation, for as she charges toward the ropes with a head-full of steam, flying over with a suicide dive, Eternity moves out of the way...causing Kate to crash and burn on the outside! }Terri Morasco: Crash 'n' burn!
Vasco Dias: Happens when ya don't do your homework!
{ Eternity, stone-faced, gets to her senses and methodically seizes control, applying a snap suplex on the floor! The zebra-man starts a ten-count as Eternity ekes out a sly smirk on her mug, chucking Steele back into the ring just as the ref hits "SIX!" Giggling to herself, Eternity stands over Kate's stricken form and turns her head slightly, creeping out her opponent so much that she retreats toward the corner--where big trouble is brewing! Sensing the fear, Eternity capitalizes with a series of deliberate rights and lefts to the temples before shooting her into the opposite corner! Kate crunches the buckles back-first, stumbling and bumbling into her rival's arms--and right into a devastating tilt-a-whirl backbreaker dubbed "Dust to Dust!" Eternity goes for the cover... }1...!
2...!!
KICKOUT!!!
{ Eternity closes her right eyelid, smiling as she's got Kate dead to rights...or so we think! As she picks Steele up by the scruff of the neck, the once-former Shieldmaiden realities, hitting an elbow to the ribs, followed by a second! Kate gets a bit of a second wind as she climbs up the buckles, all the way to the top; playing to the 50-50 crowd as Eternity grabs her ribs in pain, Kate NAILS her with a high missile dropkick that sends her straight to the canvas! }Vasco Dias: Whoa...
Terri Morasco: Kate's doing all she can to stop Eternity dead in her tracks!
{ Kate senses that victory is within her grasp, grabbing Eternity and executing her trademark float-over neckbreaker before going for the pin! }1...!
2...!!
THREEEEEEEAWWWWWWW....!!!
{ Kate stands up pissed. She starts barking madly at the ref, trying to ascertain how in the hell Eternity managed to kick out--she thought she had a three! Yet the British native only gets the dreaded two fingers in response, sparking her fury even more. She proceeds to go after Eternity with her Siren's Song submission move...only for Eternity to counter the attempt with her own submission--the dreaded Kimura hold known as THE DYING WISH!!! }Terri Morasco: There it is--the Dying Wish!
Vasco Dias: G'bye Kate...we hardly knew ya!
{ Kate Steele is going nowhere! She's locked in good and tight as Eternity applies the maximum pressure, and it becomes painfully clear that Steele has no alternative but to cry "Auntie Em!" and tap, causing the official to ring the bell! }[DING-DING-DING!!!]
Vasco Dias: Another one bites the dust...
Terri Morasco: Kate Steele tried her best, but she made some critical errors and it cost her. Eternity's still your Shieldmaiden!
Vasco Dias: And we gotta go--I'm startin' to get the heeby-jeebies!
{ Before the copyright banner is shown on-screen, the lights go down to a blue hue and Eternity kneels in the middle of the ring and grieve for her opponent's loss as she offers a ten bell salute in condolence, while the bell rings and the arena is silent. }
