“So here we are again. It has almost been a year since my downfall had begun. During this time of the year last year I was a dominant Shield Maiden Champion. I had fought match after match beating every single opponent that came my way. I defended my champion with hnour and I gave the fans a show that they would have never forgot. For me rising to the top of the ranks was a necessity because I had attempted to make my name in the company through two previous stints and I just wasn’t ready.”
{Kate shakes her head offering a sigh as she focuses back on the camera again.}
“It was two stints of getting beaten by the likes of the Amber Richards, the Jessica Reeds, the Ana Valentines, and of course the Eternitys. I just wasn’t ready for the spotlight yet. So instead of leaving the company altogether I instead decided to better myself. I spent time down at IWF developmental training with the best teachers possible, and it was there where I befriended my now best friend Shea O’ Hara.”
[Kate smiles as wide as she can before she speaks again.}
“And after working on everything I decided to come back to the main roster. My best friend Shea would come up a few months later, and the British Invasion would make 2016 our year. Okay so maybe our combined reign wasn’t all that long but for the beginning quarter of the year it was about the both of us. People knew they had skills and they could see it for themselves. They saw the way we put everything on the line in the heart of the ring. They saw the effort, the dedication. Because we both put our all into this division. Wins and losses didn’t matter because we were just happy to be there.”
{Kate offers a very long sigh again as she pauses in her speech. She slowly lifts her head up as she gazes into the heart of the camera.}
“Yet as soon as the Iron Maiden came around I had forgotten that joy and love for the sport. It no longer became about being passionate about what I did. It was about accusing Mrs. Conway for being unfair to me. I mentally wasn’t in a position to be in the Iron Maiden. I became my own worst enemy. I was too focused on why my title had to be defended in that match, and instead of rising up to the challenge like a champion should be. Carrying that eagerness of being a fighting champion, I decided to go against everything I worked so hard to become.”
{Kate looks away once again before she slowly brings her eyes back to the camera.}
“I became a complainer. I became everything that I vowed not to become in this business. That would be the start of my own undoing. That showed in the Iron Maiden when I wasn’t focused to the task at hand and Paige picked me apart. After losing my title instead of rising up through the ranks to get it back. I decided to blame my best friend Shea. I decided to blame Kathy Conway, and I threw temper tantrums blaming all of the wrong people. Who I should have been blaming was myself because I never once looked at myself for my failures.”
{Kate takes a deep breath.}
“I never once admitted my own shortcomings. After going through the hell of dealing with Mrs. Conway and my best friend I could finally admit that I was wrong. So now what that means it’s about time to get back to where I was. No it’s time to rise to a level far above where I was at last year. So this year is all about opportunity. It’s about fighting my way to the top and it’s about ascension.”
{Kate is finally smiling as she pours her heart to the camera.}
“Two weeks ago the world saw me step it up as I took the fight to Eternity. I didn’t win but I damn sure did an amazing job at showing the Kate of the old. So now I will channel that same fire as I get back to where it the downfall occurred right back to the Iron Maiden. The Iron Maiden means everything to me! It means rewriting the past. It means finding my way back to the top. More importantly I think it’s time I took something away from Paige in that match just like she did to me.”
{Kate smiles again as she speaks some more.}
“However to get there I have to first qualify by fighting through the likes of a newcomer to IWF in Astrid Hall. Now to be honest I haven’t seen Astrid that much in action but from what I hear she has been a force down at developmental. She was dominating the competition down there, and when you take a look upon this woman one can see why. She is by far the biggest woman to have ever stepped foot inside of an IWF ring, and she happens to be going against one of the smallest ones. So there’s an obvious mismatch there.”
{Kate shrugs her shoulders as she speaks some more.}
“So many moves in my arsenal won’t have an effect on her. I am going to be force to change my whole style against her, and add in the fact that she was trained under Emma Danielson I know this woman is to be taken seriously. We both seem to be cut from the same cloth that we came from the developmental system although it took me three times to get it right. You are coming up here with a strong backing behind you. Being trained by one of the very best and that’s awesome.”
{Kate waves her fingers as she smiles.}
“”You are coming here to be a true Viking but what you should realize about me is I never let my size or stature slow me down. While you are coming to channel your inner Viking I am ready to show the world why I am a Siren. Why I am ready to stand on a rock and lead everyone to their demise. I am one of the best technicians in this division and you can rest assured that I will find a way to win. On top of that I may not been tutored under someone like Emma Danielson like you do but I will have my best friend Shea in my corner. I have the strong backing of Mrs. Conway who is one of my close friends.”
{Kate points to herself.}
“Shea and I made a promise to one another that this would be our year just like the beginning of the last year. We would do things on a bigger scale this year, and the only way I could see that happening is for the both of us to make it to the Iron Maiden match. So you better believe I will do everything in my power to make that come to past. So you can bring your size, you can bring the great mentor but at the end of the day it won’t matter. Because this little punk rocker will still keep fighting. This little Siren will proudly open her mouth and welcome you with her Siren’s Song.”
{Kate nods her head as she grins.}
“So keep following that song. Get trapped in it because once you do it ultimately will lead to your demise. It will lead to you eventually getting SHIPWRECKED. I await to see what you will do at Sacrifice but I think you should know one thing. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The biggest of things can come in the smallest of all packages. This little firecracker is about ready to explode. I will see you in the ring…Bring your best I will be waiting.”

Kate’s Mansion.}
{In the gym inside of Kate’s mansion we are able to see the petite blonde running on her treadmill. The sweat is steadily pouring down her forehead but she pays no attention to it as her mind is on other things. She knew she couldn’t stop. She just had to keep pushing and had to find a way to better herself. In the background Kate was blasting Issues Mad At Myself and it filled the entire room. What Kate didn’t realize is that she wasn’t alone as her best friend Shea was entering into the room. Shea walked up to where Kate was and smiled as she looked at Kate.}
Shea: “Wow somebody is training hard this morning.”
Kate: “I have too. I have a big match coming up. Especially against somebody I never really faced before. So I want to make sure that I am one hundred percent ready to step in the ring with Astrid. You see how big that woman is?!”
{Shea just smiles as she nods her head in agreement. She looks at Kate just really showing her joy.}
Shea: “You will win though. When you really put your mind to something you always seem to come through in the clutch. It just takes so much to get something out of you. Kate tough break two weeks ago against Eternity.”
Kate: “I rather forget that match to be honest.”
Shea: “No… There’s no need to forget it you were awesome. As you can see when I fought Eternity things didn’t go so well for me. I received a broken arm and was forced to be sidelined for the past 7 months. It was tough but I really did like what you did for me.”
Kate: “Shea I didn’t really do that much.”
Shea: “But you did… You poured out your heart in the ring against Eternity. It may have been in a losing effort but for me that meant the world. It inspired me to get into the ring again and want to do what I love most. When Eternity broke my arm that wasn’t the only thing that got broken. I lost that joy, that smile, that desire to compete something you never lost.”
Kate: “You must be confused with somebody else. I might have brought everything against Eternity but what about all of those weeks prior? What about when I was losing to Fiona in less than a minute? What about when Helena made me her bitch in an elimination match, or the way that Jinx and Helena broke me inside the ring. I don’t know what you are seeing but it’s not who I see when I look in the mirror.”
Shea: “Kate relax… No reason to be mad at yourself. You just had a tough time but you stood did the best you could. On top of that you were stressed. You were working hard on Juliet’s adoption making sure you were fit to be a parent and provide the proper household for her. As important as wrestling is that should take priority but yet you stuck it out and did both. Whether you lost every match or won few and far between. You still stuck it out.”
{Kate thinks about it as she looks back at Shea.}
Kate: “I never really thought about it in that way before.”
Shea: “On top of that you have had time for me and your band. I don’t know how you find time to do everything that you do but you always seem to deliver it do it all so well.”
Kate: “It takes a lot that’s for sure.”
Shea: “When I was broken you were there to help mend the broken pieces Kateykins. You did everything in your power to rebuild our broken friendship and you even offered me a place to live in your home. Honestly I can’t say thank you enough but I think right now what you need more than anything is to have your best friend help you out.”
{Kate thinks about it as she looks back at Shea.}
Kate: “Help me out? And how exactly are you going to do that Shea?”
Shea: “By doing everything in my power to bring the best out of you. You have this big match with Astrid coming up but wouldn’t it be special if you somehow won so that it’s me and you in the Iron Maiden match.”
{Kate opens her eyes wide up in amazement as she looks back at Shea.}
Kate: “What do you mean so it’s US in the Iron Maiden match? Shea don’t be ridiculous that would require you….”
Shea: “Being cleared to wrestle? Yes… We are at that point Kate. There’s no more holding back I got my clearance I got everything I needed and I will be back into action come next week. I am getting my big return match and a chance to be in the Iron Maiden. You don’t have to worry about me being in that match because after what I have been through for the past seven months you can rest assured I will get there. I will do whatever it takes to get there.”
{Shea smiles again.}
Shea: “And the last time I was there I do remember I lasted longer than you did.”
Kate: “I got injured!”
Shea: “Excuses, excuses. At least when I get injured you didn’t hear me complain about it for months on end. That reminds me I tend to do a lot of things before you. I lasted longer in the Iron Maiden, I won the Shield Maiden before you did.”
Kate: “You only held it for 13 days Shea! 13 days until I took it away from you!”
Shea: “Lies!”
Kate: “And I defended it against you and…”
Shea: “Right after the Iron Maiden I do remember beating you. Putting you in your place after your temper tantrum. I am glad that you are getting so hyped up now. Seems like I got you motivated and it’s only right to see if do make it to the chamber so we can see who among us can actually win the Iron Maiden first…”
{Kate just scoffs as she points to herself.}
Kate: “It’s going to be me! I am not going to let Paige do to me what she did last year! No, no, and no!”
Shea: “Sounds like you are determined but you have a very heavy woman in front of you. A very big obstacle who is going to prevent you from getting there. So how exactly are you going to beat her? Besides having me in your corner?!”
Kate: “By doing what I do best!”
Shea: “Right… You know Kate instead of talking about it. Why don’t you show me what you are going to do. We have a wrestling ring right here. I could use a great sparring session and nobody needs to know the results of this but us.”
Kate: “Sounds like a plan but don’t be shocked when I make you tap out… At least no one has to know right?!”
Shea: “Oh Kateykins… As if that WOULD ever happen.”
